Akihana had seen too much of Den and Maku' spacetime jutsu to be astounded, or perhaps she hadn't as she realized when they entered the pocket dimension Denkiteki had created for her. She would have thought that entering a completely new place would be dark but it wasn't. It wasn't anything at all. No colors to describe it, no senses to accompany the nothing she was registering. She had always assumed blindness would be seeing darkness and yet, that wasn't the case. She could no more describe this than describe how vision looked like from the back of her head. The only real things here seem to be Akihana and Den. And now she could modify it.
The idea of playing God sent a chill down her spine, one that wasn't unnoticed by the entity inside her. Unwillingly, an image of a monster devouring its own tail flashed across her mind, one that Akihana had to forcibly remove. The being inside her was getting stronger but so was she. And she refused to engage in hostile communication with it. No one deserved unkindness, not even the beast that lay in wait for any chinks in her emotional defenses. Unconsciously, the blonde reached to touch the ring on her left ring finger, as though the small token was some kind of talisman against bad omen.
There was no reason it should make her feel safer, which only meant she had to give it a property she could associate with protection so she wouldn't find herself lost in thought the next time. Bringing the sphere close to her ring, the kunoichi focused on compressing the matter into the small object, pushing it equally with her mind as well as her hands into the small Alexandrian gem that sat a little crookedly on it's silver base, watching the orb vanish. "The ring will retain the sphere's properties right?" she asked with a raised eyebrow only to have Den nod at her direction.
Next came the part where she had to morph the dimension they were in, and this wasn't too hard as the process unfolded almost automatically in her head. Akihana watched in wonder and joy as the familiar couch and tiny tables unfolded into this new reality, the basket of clean but unfolded laundry at the side, crayons all over the small coffee table and the tiny, adjoining kitchen where two people could not comfortably work together. Her old apartment from Kumo appeared exactly as she remembered it, complete with the tiny plants beside one of the only two windows in the apartment and if she closed her eyes, she could almost hear Arata splashing about in the bathroom, trying to walk on his bath water in his eagerness to learn jutsu.
She noted the two doors he pointed out, making sure not to confuse them. Once everything had been explained to her, Akihana thanked Den once more and watched him leave, wishing him good luck with the council. As much as she cared about the city they had accidental taken, right now there was something else she cared about more. Two little somethings.
Instead of heading towards Den's library, the blonde made her way to the door leading to her own cottage, a huge grin plastered on her face a the thought of seeing her boys again.
