Train in the Rain. (Salzem, Shinichi) NK
Thu Aug 27, 2015 6:31 am
Salzem sat cross-legged under a shadow of a large oak in the training grounds. He was near a small pond, water as blue and as clear as the sky itself meditation had become a favorite past-time of Salzem's, sitting there, more still than a stone and enjoying the quiet. The occasional rumble would echo off in the distance as if someone was slamming a timpani drum. Little by little, the booming stalked closer until it was almost directly overhead. Then a gentle hiss seemed to fall over everything, drops fell onto Salzem's head. Salzem opened his eyes and witnessed the beginnings of a storm. Not one that would concern someone's health, but would definitely get you soaked if you stayed for too long. Salzem decided to make this part of his exercise and would continue his meditation, trying to block out all noises and achieve serenity.

Shinichi would walk slowly through the rain into the training grounds thinking it'd be a perfect day to train to get water jutsu because there was water everywhere of course. Although, when he did walk into the training ground he was confronted by a familiar face. It was Salzem, someone he had just recently seen and sparred. Salzem had proved to be strong and was surely worthy of a higher rank than he had been granted.
Shinichi would then realize maybe he could learn a few things off of Salzem and would be honored if Salzem decided to train Shinichi for a short while. Hopefully, he would have some time and would possibly be able to train him for the rest of the day but Shinichi didn't get his hopes too high.
He would then approach Salzem and greet him by saying, "Hello, Salzem it's nice to see you again. I was just wondering if you had some spare time to train me." He would then wait silently waiting for a response from Salzem in hopes that he would say yes to training Shinichi.

Salzem's meditation was interrupted yet again by the sound of someone's voice. It was barely audible over the heavy whisper of the rain pattering against the earth, but it was enough to disrupt his peace. Salzem opened one eye in aggravation and took a look at the person who stood before him. There was something familiar about him. Perhaps he had seen him around the village? Perhaps spoke once or twice? With all the new faces in Konoha, it was hard to remember who was who, especially through this veil of rain. Salzem stood up and shook the water clear of his hair.
"I suppose." Salzem replied, pulling his arm across his chest in a stretch.

Shinichi would get excited as Salzem got up from his meditative position and agreed to train him. Shinichi would immediately reply to Salzem with, "What are we going to do first!?" Shincihi had needed this training, he longed to train. Shinichi knew he was weak and needed someone to teach him some jutsu and to strengthen him both physically and mentally. He really needed to improve physically though since he's extremely frail for his age and could really die in just one hit.

Salzem looked at the kid oddly as if he had asked him to pick up the world and break it over his knee.
"Well..." Salzem said, scratching the top of his head while he spoke. "I can teach you Taijutsu. That's about it. I know nothing of Jutsu or anything like that..." Having said that, Salzem shrugged absently. People often got it in there heads that if you couldn't spit fire or breath maelstroms that you weren't a "strong ninja." What people tend to forget is that there are those out there that can walk faster than a hurricane's winds and punch so fast, they cause meteor sized craters.

Shinichi would quickly reply to Stein and say, "Taijutsu is completely fine, I need to train my body anyways. I've been too focused on medical ninjutsu." He would then wait for Salzem to begin speaking and would hope that they would be able to skip the small talk and move onto the training. Shinichi had been waiting to train for days and could barely contain the excitement that he had.

Salzem shrugged again, and got up from his meditative stance. He supposed he could start with something simple.
"This technique is called the Leaf Gale." As Salzem said this, he would cross one leg is front of the other before bringing it back around quickly in a sweeping motion.
"Basically, this is designed to use an opponent's own height and weight against them. It's best used against charging opponents in my experience."

(its been like 4 days so... I'm exiting).
Seeing nothing more to do, as this person suddenly became unresponsive, Salzem left the area, heading back home under the veil of rain.
(exit. Claiming nothing)

[Sorry for not posting, exams were on]
Seeing as Salzem left Shinichi would leave too, having had learned nothing. He didn't mind though, he was a little too quiet and it probably irritated Salzem.
