The Knight's Exam
Mon Oct 12, 2015 7:55 pm
It was time for the knight to finally step up and obtain the ranking of a village ninja. Stepping into the academy, he sat towards the front patiently waiting for the proctor to call his name

The proctor was ready and waiting as the student arrived, her dull golden locks tied in a no nonsense bun and her thin rectangular glasses perched high on her nose. She had seen every type of student there was in her fifteen year long career as a teacher and she was proud of it. Ushering the young man in, she spoke sternly.
"You will demonstrate for me the clone jutsu and the transformation jutsu that you have learned. You will also demonstrate a different use for each of these jutsu," she would say, gesturing for him to stand in the middle fo the class room. Once he was properly situated, she would say "You may begin."

As he initially sat down in his seat, he began to wonder what exactly he would have to do in this exam to pass it. He had been training day and night when he had not been in the forges he practiced each of the jutsu in his arsenal for a while. Though he couldn't help but wonder what the significance of these Village tests were, he wasn't going to argue over it. As the proctor stepped into the room, he raised slightly and bowed to her out of respect before sitting back down and waiting for what she had to say. After hearing that it was his turn and the conditions of his test he smiled and readied himself as he spoke," I, Siegfried adhere to your terms and promise to impress you!," speaking with vigor and confidence he readied himself for the exam.
The first part of the exam was the Henge jutsu, or for better terms the transformation technique as known to the knight. From what Siegfried had knew and experienced, this technique was done by first visualizing what you had wanted to transform into, then by using chakra and mentally drawing what you wanted to transform into in your head, the user would then transform. Sounded simple enough to him at the most it would not be hard, but what to transform into was the biggest problem. He would look around for a moment looking at different things in the small room and then at his instructor. He would then smile a little as he found the perfect example, better yet the perfect volunteer to transform into. Performing the necessary hand signs, Dog, Boar, Ram, he would turn into his instructor. Now that the easy part was over, he would then demonstrate how thorough his transformation technique was to his instructor.
As the puff of smoked cleared the female would see another version standing in front of her," Would this be satisfactory for the first portion? As for an additional use for the jutsu...As you ninja call it infiltration, it can be a means of successfully gaining access into places an ordinary ninja couldn't normally get into. It can also pass as a means for throwing off an enemy should one be able to mask their chakra and turn into a normal civilian as they went about," hoping his initial response had been enough to warrant a pass in the Transformation technique, he now focused his mind on the second objective.
The next part of his exam would be the Bushin technique, or the basic clone technique. Again from what he knew it was the basic version of the shadow clone technique, but instead of clone that had a physical mass and appeared not as illusions but actual clones unlike the jutsu he was being tested on. These would be illusions only and could be distinguished only by their lack of shadows and the fact that they only mimic what the user is doing. In most cases they would only be used as an illusion tactic but for this test it was only a display of whether it could be performed or not. Taking a deep breath and relaxing his whole body, Siegfried would begin to focus on what it took to perform this specific technique. First he would concentrate his chakra and focus on the thought of multiple copies of himself, these copies would not only have to be solid enough to form, but also look like him. Another thing he would have to focus on was the fact that the clones had to be up to par, not only to normal standards but also to the standards of the proctor he had been given. Clones with solid mass...The thought reminded him of forging a weapon. One must first create a mold in order to create a weapon.
The weapon next must be compressed with its ore in order to get the impurities from the ore itself to assure the weapon had the most ore that could be used. The basis of black smithing could be applied to the situation he was facing now and now that he could efficiently connect it to something he knew, the test would become so much easier. Performing the hand seals for the clone technique he combined his knowledge of smithing with the knowledge he had of jutsu casting to create his clones. In yet another puff of smoke two clones appeared on both his left and right making three Siegfried. Though they were solid in base they would only mimic his movements not being able to travel from his side. Though these were on his first attempt he went to explain much like the first jutsu how it would be useful in other ways," While the transformation technique has more uses, the clone technique can be used as a bridge way to the actual shadow clone technique. Though the clone technique could technically be used against lower level shinobi to distract them with illusionary attacks or chain for a combo," with his explanation done, he smiled and waited to see what would be the verdict.

The proctor's posture relaxed slightly at the boy's enthusiasm. She took pride in knowing her students and this one was just rearing to be a ninja. Picking up a Sunagakure headband, she walked over to him, handing him the item with a stern but kind smile. "Well done, young man. You are now a genin of this village. Be sure to make the Sand proud of you." With that, she would dismiss the newly promoted genin.
