How Do You Do? (P, NK, IO)

The sun shined upon Sunagakure gracefully. The wind blew mildly giving the vicinity a slight breeze to make up for the humid climate. Not many birds had been flying around. Just a few sparrows and vultures at a high altitude on the outside of the village walls. There were probably a few pieces of fresh, decaying meat. Who knows?

Royalty sat up in his bed. His sleeping had been mediocre. He rubbed his eyes before removing his blanket from over his body. He shifted himself to stand up and put his slippers on. Royalty walked over to his bathroom to clean himself up. He used the supplies in his bathroom to take a shower and brush his teeth. After he was finished, Roy had to check in the mirror before he left his bathroom. Facial hair............eh not yet. Oh well.

The Yuka teenager then got himself dressed. Boots, black silk slim pants and a jacket that did not zip up all of the way; the usual. Upon walking out of his room, he looked to his right. Kyson was most likely still asleep. He shrugged and went to the left to go down the steps. After reaching the bottom, he opened his front door and left the premises.

Royalty had now been walking throughout the village just taking a stroll. He waved and greeted many civilians that he had gotten acquainted with while moving back to Sunagakure. There were even some residents whom had remembered him as a boy before moving to Kumogakure. They were fascinated at his growth. He had his hands in his pocket, casually walking. What to do today? He said to himself. It was still early.

Sunlight shined through Makoto's bedroom window. The bright light beamed across her pale face. She opened her eyes, the light focused into her deep brown eyes causing them to glow a bright blood red. She sat up in bed, rubbed her eyes, then let out a loud yawn that echoed throughout her quiet bedroom. She didn't expect to be up this early, and had gotten very little sleep from the night before. Makoto spent most of the night working on her next puppet. The process was taking longer than she had originally anticipated. "Maybe I should take the day off to rest up, clear my mind a little bit," she thought to herself. She shifted her feet to the floor, and slowly lifted her tired body up. She stumbled to her bathroom to clean up. She turned the shower on and brushed her teeth, letting the water heat up before getting in. After cleaning up she walked back to her bedroom and got dressed. Looking over she saw her puppet, "Daichi," leaning back in the chair next to her desk. Makoto lifted her hand and aimed her chakra threads towards the unconscious puppet. He immediately stood up as soon as the threads made contact bringing the puppet to life. "How about we go get breakfast?" she said to Daichi. Not that he would respond anyway, but he did keep her company. 

Makoto walked down the stairs into the main living area then walked out the front door, locking it behind her.  She walked down the dusty streets of Suna, Daichi quietly following directly behind her. Hopefully something would be open this early, she was starving. Makoto arrived at the nearest restaurant, luckily it was open. She walked in and took a seat. Her puppet companion sat in the seat next to her facing the enterance, you never know when a something interesting could happen. Makoto browsed through menu to find what she desired for breakfast.

Upon walking through the streets of Sunagakure, Roy often asked himself where he was going. Improvising played a huge part in his walk as he was unable to give himself a definite answer. Salutations and brief conversations from the people in his surroundings were the only thing passing the time for him. All until a certain something happened.

*Growl*


His stomach started to display some signs of despair. Food was the only thing that could solve his problem at the moment. That was it. Food it was. 

Royalty scoped the area until randomly picking a restaurant. He had not eaten here before so it was perfect to try out. Upon walking through the doors, a host had asked him where he would like to sit. Scanning the area, he noticed a girl with long jet black hair sitting with her puppet. What kind of date is this? Royalty thought to himself. He then told the host that he would seat himself. 

Giving him a quick smile, Royalty walked up to where Makoto had been sitting. He then pulled out a seat across from her then sat down. After tucking his chair in under him, he rested both of his forearms crossed across the tabletop. He looked at Makoto. She was an attractive young women. Royalty resorted to jokes just so he could make it less awkward.

"I hope I'm not ruining a date between you two. I mean, if this is getting intimate then I could be on my way. You two would make beautiful human/puppet hybrid children." Royalty smiled brightly. His smile could light up a room honestly. The bright white teeth glistened and showed a sense of sincerity.

Makoto gazed through the entire menu, everything looked delicious. She was so starved that she wanted to buy one of everything on the menu. Unfortunately, her lack of Ryo would stop that from happening.

 *Creak!* 

The sound of a chair sliding across the wooden floor of the restaurant startled Makoto. She looked up, barely revealing her face from behind the menu. A tall, young man had taken a seat across from her at the table she was sitting at. Ignoring him, she focused her view back at the menu. 

The young man proceeded to attempt a conversation with Makoto, going as far as to tell a lame joke. Makoto didn't laugh, she just looked up at the young man and replied, "What do you want? Can't you see I'm trying to find something to eat" The boy just sat there smiling, his bright teeth shined in the light of the room. "Please, close your mouth. It's distracting me."

Royalty had not expected a greeting with open arms from the young woman. In fact, he was already figuring out how he would counter her words before she even spoke them. Most people usually are not open to raw conversations with regular strangers. Even if the two were both village mates, there could still be people in the world with cruel intentions.

Minding what Makoto had said, Royalty shut down his bright smile and closed his mouth. The smile turned into a half smirk as he was amused by the challenge of trying to get into someone's shell. 

"Well then. If food is what you want, may I treat you to anything? The only stipulation is that you try not to treat me as if I am an enemy. Deal? I think you are beautiful, that is what led me to come to this table in the first place. But, anyway. Waiter! Could you come here please?" Royalty lifted his right hand off of the table and signaled for a waiter to assist them. Not much time passed as a waiter had approached them with a small notepad and a pen.

"Why yes. Welcome. May I start you two off with a couple of beverages. What will it be?" Roy did not even need to look at the menu to fulfill this portion of the order. He put his arm down and turned to face the waiter.

"You can just get me a tall glass of water please. & For the lady, get her anything he heart desires." They both looked towards Makoto. If she were to order, the waiter would write them down and inform them that their drinks would be on their way. Once the waiter would leave, Royalty would speak to Makoto once again.

"By the way, the name's Royalty. May I ask for yours?" Despite being treated a bit rudely and being given the cold shoulder, Royalty still maintained his kindness and enthusiasm. It was in his character.

She had to hand it to him, this guy was persistent. He even went as far as to call her "beautiful," it had been a long time since someone had gave her that compliment. Makoto formed a faint smile, and blushed slightly. "I'm apologize for my rudeness earlier. I guess I'm still a little tired. Also I don't mean to lead you on or anything, but you're not exactly my type," she replied chuckling softly. It wasn't easy for her to make friends, let alone talk to people she hardly knew. But kind young man did offered to buy her breakfast and hell, a free meal was a free meal. Both the waiter and the boy stared her down waiting for a response to the beverage question. "I'll also have a glass of water," Makoto replied. "And I'll have the broiled fish for my meal." 

The boy told her that his name was Royalty, then kindly asked for her name. "My name is Makoto, and this is my puppet Daichi," she replied pointing to the figure sitting in the chair next to her. "Sorry again for the cold shoulder, not many people take the time out of there day to talk to strange girls they've never met before." It was strange, she felt somewhat comfortable being around this kid.

It seemed that Makoto was beginning to become more and more comfortable as the time went by. Royalty maintained his smirk the entire time she had spoke. It was satisfying to actually get an apology from her. This was certainly not expected.

As she ordered her drink and her food, it had completely slipped his mind that he was hungry. New faces were certainly a distraction for him. Especially when they weren't planning on making friends initially. He just let the waiter walk away. He figured that he would eat later. In the middle of Makoto's dialogue, Roy said a few.

"Well that's understandable. Everyone gets cranky when they are tired. & your type?" Royalty chuckled a bit. It was very slight to not imply any sarcasm. "Well, do all compliments have to imply those intentions? Damn, I did not mean for it to steer in that direction. I just moved back here not too long ago though. It is just nice to meet new people and make new friends." Royalty had stopped smirking as his cheek started to get sore a bit. Holding that did a number on your face.

Royalty allowed Makoto to speak again. After she was finished, he replied.

"Ah, nice to meet the both of you." Royalty put his hand out towards Daichi as if he were to receive a handshake. Twas a simple joke as he was not really expecting anything. He then retracted his hand and put it to his side.

"Strange you say? Why would you say that? You seem perfectly normal to me. Even if, everyone has a strange factor to some extent."

Makoto replied to his question as to why she thought she was strange. "Well, you wouldn't normally see a teenage girl walking around the village alone with her only friend... who happens to be a puppet..." She looked over at Daichi, and smiled showing her gratitude towards the puppet. "I don't have many friends, so he keeps me company." Makoto's food arrived, without taking any consideration for Royalty's feelings she began to chow down. She was so hungry that her table manners went straight out the window. The fish tasted incredible. She looked up to see that Royalty had no food in front of him, "You're not going to eat anything?" she asked with her mouth full of food. 

Realizing that she was being incredibly rude, she swallowed the food in her mouth. "So, you mentioned that you moved back here... Where exactly did you move back from?" Makoto took a drink from her water, then returned to eating her food. Slowly this time so she wouldn't look like a pig, while waiting for Royalty to respond.

Makoto replied and Roy would listen to her hardships. He understood how it felt to not have friends. That all changed as soon as he met Kyson however. Their bond was unbreakable. As her food came out, Roy noticed that the girl was quite hungry. It was kind of funny to know that she had not cared whom she was in the presence of. He did not think she was a pig. It's in human nature to chow down if you are starving. While eating, Roy replied to her first few statements.

"Eh, I usually prefer to believe that to each their own. Who am I to judge you for finding peace with your creation? That would be incredibly shallow and inhuman. And about the not having friends. I only had one for a long while. After coming here, I adapted and now I'm well renowned as the runaway ninja whom arrived and gave his life for others. With that, people tend to respect my coming and open up to me. If you just learn to be willing to friends, they will flock like birds. Just watch out who you call your friends however. Some people don't have proper intentions." Roy smirked a bit knowing about how some of the people throughout his life true colors panned out. Makoto began to eat more. She spoke after slowing down her eating pace and asked Royalty a question. The Yuka teen sighed before his reply. It was kind of a touchy subject.

"Ahh. Well, I was in fact born here in Suna. I stayed here for about the first 10 years of my life. When I was almost 11, my father's job relocated him and we moved to Kumogakure. It was so different than it was here. Like a total 180 from what I was used to. I don't really feel like getting too much into it, so long story short I had found out some things about that place. As a result, my friend Kyson and I fled and was greeted with open arms by Lord Kazekage. I'm intending to go back though... I know my parents are worried sick by now.." Royalty put his head down to face his lap. The subject always did a number on him. He felt like such the bad guy to just leave his parents but what needed to be done had been done. He just missed them. One day, he would save them much like how he saved himself.

Makoto listened to Royalty, taking in everything he had to say. His words about friendship really hit her. The fact that he only ever had one very close friend reminded her of the old days when her only friend was her mentor. Luckily his spirit lived on through Daichi, and was the reason she always had him around.

When she brought up the subject about Royalty's past his toned changed, becoming almost somber. He explained that he was born in Suna then moved to Kumo at a young age. Then he claimed that he would return to Kumo to see his parents, and that they were probably missing him. Something about his story seemed off, but it was not Makoto's place to poke her nose where it didn't belong. After telling his tale, Royalty focused his gaze down to his lap. "I hope I didn't upset you by asking that question," she said feeling a little bad about asking in the first place. She quickly attempted to change the subject. "So um...is it weird to ask how old you are?" What an embarrassing question to ask... but her curiosity got the better of her. "Sorry....That was an odd question to ask... You just seemed down about the last question so I decided to change the subject. I hope you don't mind." She took another drink from her water to hide the fact that she was blushing more than before.
