Salzem's punch seemed to only aid Kira's control of the fight as she used her momentum to propel herself over Salzem's body using his punch. Salzem was tempted to slam Kira back down to the ground, pulling the chain back over his shoulder and slamming her into the ground but he didn't want to hurt her. He didn't want to break her... Kira then attempted to sweep Salzem's legs out from under him from behind, but With a health of 65 and a strength of 80, Salzem was just too well grounded. The kick just smacked against his leg as if it would a wooden dummy. He would then turn and Kira would attempt to slam a punch into his stomach with similar power and speed with Similar results. The fist smashed into it's target, but with minimal effect. Not even his stomach gave. He looked at Kira oddly, Suddenly noticing the energy drain she'd caused him. At first, he thought it was her punch that did it. Then he looked down at the chain still wrapped around his foot. Suddenly, Salzem felt a spike of anger, as if a demon had awoken from it's slumber. He felt weak that he couldn't even keep up with Kira, that she was tearing him down bit by frustrating bit. That She was able to fight and even get the advantage of him. He'd been suppressing this rage for upwards of a year. It wasn't directed at her. She was just the nearest outlet... He would feel a great shame when this was all over, having lost his head, but now, Salzem's eyes burned with an old, rotted anger. His fists clenched so hard it hurt and he threw a punch straight at Kira's face (Strength 40 speed 100) with the intent of knocking her flat. Whether Kira dodged or not, Salzem would advance like a tank, Slowly, menacingly, silently and every time Kira got within range of his fists, He'd throw another punch at her, a hook, a straight punch, an uppercut, (strength 40 speed 100) It didn't matter. So long as he landed something, his rage would dance inside with glee like a freshly fed campfire. Every so often, his gaze would break and the rage would subside, filling the gap with pain... but then, in the instant his head cleared, it was clouded again by the poisonous breath of his wrath. In those instances of anger, he blamed Kira for his misfortunes. His time in prison, just missing his friend's killer, all of it was Kira's fault. He knew it was callow of him. Even in his enraged state, he knew he was wrong, but he didn't care. Kira was here. And she was going to pay.

Kira’s leg slid across the sand, sending some of it flying as it made contact with Sal’s legs. Her attempt to swoop with a low kick proved to be fruitless as her leg struck the boy, but no impact was made on him. He remained standing as if her kick had just been a itty bitty fly that landed on his calf. Her eyes widened in surprise. He had been stronger than she thought. With a new will to prove something, The Uzumaki threw a punch at his stomach that again, deemed to have no affect. A look of rage seemed to shroud Sal as he raised his fist in an attempt to punch her in the face. Rule #1, never aim for the Sand Goddess’ face. Kira brought her upper body back as she performed a backflip at a speed of 125 to avoid the incoming punch. As she regain posture, she noticed another attack coming in. The girl sidestepped as she witnessed the punch fly through thin air. The girl continued to evade the incoming attacks at a speed of 125, moving gracefully and in sync, but also barely avoiding the blows that came.
Sal threw a punch with his right fist at Kira avoided by ducking down just as another punch came from his left. The Uzumaki put her fists up as as blocked the hit, sending another jolt of pain to shoot up her arm. That was definitely going to leave a bruise. The girl quickly jumped back and gained some quick breathing space across Sal. Now she had been working up some steam. She didn’t know what happened, but it seemed like the chunin had just snapped, and quite frank, that pissed her off a bit. He had no reason to be the angry One. “Come on Sally, is that all you got? You’ll never be able to catch your friends killer at this level if you can’t even beat me!” She shouted. “Hell, how do you expect to protect anyone!” Her voice was stern with a touch of sly playfulness that would drive anyone to anger. It was a low blow for her to bring that up, but quite frankly she didn’t care.

Suddenly, when those words reached his ears, Salzem's mind seemed to fade away. Sound seemed to fall down around him, becoming dull, incomprehensible. Nothing seemed to matter except the red-haired girl he wanted to crush. He wanted too so badly... His rage was now firmly on the outside and plain for all too see. He had stopped coming after Kira for a few moments, chest heaving up and down as he sucked in angry, adrenalin filled breaths. A single tear coursed down his cheek as he looked back up at that monster of a person, His face gnarled in something that can only be described as completely out of control.
"Kira..." Salzem whispered, voice eerily calm. "You shouldn't have said that..." his fists clenched harder again, this time drawing his own blood. "YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE SAID THAT!" He roared suddenly. "NOW! You will PAY!" Everything Kira was to him, every moment they'd shared, everything they'd gone through had all been lost to his mindlessness. Lunged at Kira at speeds of 100, rearing his fist back and throwing it into a smashing punch (strength 60, Speed 100). It was intended to hit the side of her head and send her smashing into the ground, possibly bouncing off it's surface. No matter whether he hit or not, Salzem would advance. He would get to her if it cost him his body.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU KNOW!?" He continued to fume. "YOU FIND THIS FUNNY? DO YOU!?" His face was no longer the pale white it normally was. Now, it was splattered red. "MY FAMILY IS DEAD! MY BEST FRIEND IS DEAD!" He threw another punch, this one aimed at Kira's stomach, almost as if he intended for it to come out the other side (Speed 100 Strength 65). Tears flowed down his face steadily now as he swung almost blindly. "YOU ARE A FOOL!" When he yelled the last word, it was almost as if a pulse of power blasted across the land. One could feel the raw emotion in his words. Words of sadness, guilt and fear. Fear that she might be right.

The boy that she once knew seemed to slowly disappear behind a mask of rage. His breathes were heavy, each inhale of oxygen raising his chest before exhaling. The man behind the eyes was someone she had never seen before. A lone tear showed a slight moment of weakness before his face contorted, showing a complete lost of control over his inner self. The boy whispered his name, sending a slight shiver down her spine as her body slowly formed into a position to avoid any incoming attack that the boy through. She examined as his first clenched so hard, drops of blood fell from his palm and onto the sand, forever tainting those particles in red. The girl couldn’t help but smirk as she had found a way into the boy’s head. Even though he didn’t think so, she had complete control over the boy’s emotions, and she would just pick at them as she pleased.
Sal roared loudly, yelling his vendetta before charging at her. The boy tossed a fist that would have struck on the side of her head. Before he could make contact, the girl ducked underneath it at a speed of 120, but still being able to feel the sheer force of the power behind the fist. After she ducked, she would start taking steps back, as the boy only took steps towards her, continuing his rant. She remained quiet, only listening to the boy’s words as he accused her of not knowing what he was going through, but little did he know that she felt worse; but she would never choose to show it. Sal atlas knew the outcome of his parents and friend. Kira, she was left wandering of what her family’s fate has been for the last three years of her life. Whether they’re alive or dead. She may never know, and that unexacting closure would eat at her for the rest of her life. This thought only ticked the red headed ninja even more. “Why do you think their dead, huh?” Kira barked back, her words field with intensity and emphasis on dead. “Because you couldn’t protect them.” These words came out much softer, the girl playing with the words as it left her lips, taunting the boy even further as the next fist came towards her stomach. Kira placed her arms out once more, using them as a shield as the boy fist struck her already bruised limbs. A shriek of pain left the girl’s mouth as the blow struck her arms. Her guard broke and caused her to skid two meters back and fall to her knees. “Pathetic.” She spit at him. “I may be a fool, but your pathetic."

Salzem's fist collided with Kira's arm, causing her to shriek and fall to her knees. Her comments up to this moment had fallen on deaf ears. Salzem was already in his berserker's rage and no longer cared to hear what she had to say. Kira skidded back but Salzem was already right in front of her as she stopped, fingers clamped around her throat. He raised her up off the ground, eyes ignited in blind rage. However, as much as he wanted to close them just a bit more, to choke her to death right then and there, his fingers wouldn't respond. One word ran through his mind at that point. One word Kira managed to squeeze out. "Pathetic... pathetic..." That halted him. His body froze and then, he threw Kira to the ground (strength 35), they air around him seeming to heat up as his anger increased ever further.
"You fool..." Salzem hissed through his mask as he looked down at Kira. "You had to do it, didn't you? Push me here? Do you like it? HUH? DO YOU!?" Salzem demanded, picking Kira up again by her throat. "I didn't want to do this to you..." Salzem said, his voice changing tone to be more regretful, sorrowful, but then his resolve hardened. "But you made me. You pushed me too far..." Although he was no longer yelling, Salzem's voice held just as much wrath. "You had to test my limits... See how far you could push me..." He didn't see Kira as just Kira anymore. All those fools who'd pushed him as a child... all of those who'd sent his life into a downward spiral now shared her face.
"Why'd you do it? Huh? Why'd you PUSH me?" He was practically shaking Kira now.

The boy had closed the distance unexpectedly , and grasped his pale white fingers around her throat. Kira’s fingers wrapped around the boy’s arms as she struggled to escape his grasp but couldn’t. She struggled for air as the only words that could escape was that of her very last sentence when she called him pathetic. Her vision began to blur slightly before Sal slammed her to the ground, knocking the nonexistent breath out of her. She grasped for air, as the boy’s words completely unfazed her. She was able to get a few breathes in before the boy grabbed her once more and lifted her, her feet failing to even touch the ground. She clawed as his arms, fighting to break free but he was too strong. The image began to fade, turning into black as she tried to hold on to her consciousness. Sales voice only echoed through her mind, as she weighed the question as to why, why did she push him? His voice was beginning to seem distant, just as Kira was almost completely gone. fortunately, Sal had activated her trap card.
The Uzumaki activated the seal with a sudden burst of chakra. The very same seal she had used on Sal when they had been in the interrogation room. She had placed the seal previously, when her chakra chain had wrapped around his leg using her chain seals skill. The heterochromatic eyed girl’s vision began to return to her as the grasp around her neck loosened. She could see the dark red marking cover the boy skin, it’s power at 120. Following up straight after the attack, 10 chains bursted through her back at a speed of 110 as they targeted every part of Sal’s body as they wrapped the little bundle of joy. Two chains tied his left arm, two two his other, two each to his legs, three around his chest, and one around his neck. While the attack exhausted a lot of chakra, she could feel it replenishing as the chains would begin to absorb Sal’s. She would be out of the boy’s grasp as she tacked the helpless boy to the ground. She pulled out a kunai from holster and placed it to his throat, as the chain tightened around it. “ Because you don’t get to be a victim! We have all been through shit! We all live through it! It’s your choice whether you grow from it, or it eats you alive.” Her voice in itself was an attack, each word being like a punch to the face.
Kira clenched the kunai with all her force. She brought the blade up, as if to impale the boy in the head and brought it straight down with the capability of killing the boy. The knife struck the sand right next to the boy’s head, landing do close that it left a slight cut to hit ear. “So choose Sal! just fucking choose!” Each chain tightening around the boy’s body, but loose enough his neck for him to respond. The Uzumaki had flipped the table, now it was Sal’s turn to speak.

Suddenly, Salzem's movement had been restricted. He was stuck. AGAIN! The seals ran over him, immobilizing the missing ninja so fast, he didn't get a chance to respond. Next thing he knew, he was on the ground, wrapped in Kira's chains with the irate uzumaki holding a knife above his neck. How had it come to this? How had a simple training fight turned into something so sinister as this? Salzem lay there, Staring at Kira as she started her rant. Yeah, they've all been through shit and Salzem would deal with his own when he got the chance. This didn't excuse the fact she insulted is real only reason to keep on living. Then, Kira brought down her kunai, seemingly at Salzem's forehead before it imbedded itself in the ground beside his ear, cutting it slightly. Choose huh? Kira seemed Genuine... What... how... How did... Salzem was internally very confused, though on the outside, he stared at Kira with a hard, blank expression. What brought this on? This wasn't her business. Not in the slightest. Then again, he didn't know much about Kira, nor about what she's been through. For this moment, he could feel a genuine connection between them that neither needed to be said or expressed beyond this moment in time.
"I..." Salzem started, not really knowing how to respond. The very thought of letting go of the quest that had kept him going for so long seemed more difficult than lifting a megaton. He stared at Kira silently for a few more seconds before responding.
"I've been an idiot, haven't I?" Salzem asked in a near hushed whisper. "Kira.... I'm sorry..."

The girl relaxed her face as her line had come out. She had come to realize how upset she had gotten, and took a second to compose herself as she waited for a response from Sal. Somehow, at some point during their battle, she had let her own inner conflicts arise, even though she had promised herself that she wouldn’t. Since meeting the boy, he had always been so caught up in everything. Whether it was catching his friend’s killer, or beating himself up for leaving her in Suna. He just seemed to hold on to these memories, these events as if it were some sort of tumor. He had to let them go, he had to grow from his experiences and continue to move on with his life. Though, as much as the Uzumaki wanted to believe this was about Sal, it wasn’t.
The advice she gave him wasn’t specifically for the Chunin, but advice for herself. Maybe it was time for the red headed kunoichi to move on. It had been three years since she’d seen her family, so maybe it was time to just stop looking. Maybe it was her time to just move on, no matter how painful it may be. Her time to just forgive Sal for the events that transpired. She did her best to hold herself together, but barely could as two tears raced down her face from her eyes as Salzem apologized. She could never seem to compose herself around Sal. Even after what they had been through, she still seemed to trust him with showing her bare emotions. Through her tears, she let out a laugh as she lightly punched his chest. “ A huge idiot.” The Uzumaki wiped away her tears as she arose and took a few steps away from Sal, keeping her back to him. After she took two steps, she would dispel her jutsu that immobilized the boy. “Theirs no need to apologize.” She let out in a hushed tone, but loud enough for Sal to hear her. “It’s just… I think it’s time for us to both move on from the demon’s in our closets.” The girl would just continue to stare off blankly at the sky, her back still facing Sal.

Salzem watched as Kira's emotions were laid bare again, tears rushing down her face. They dripped-dripped, onto Salzem's pale, white face and the sand surrounding his head. Though despite this, Kira laughed at Salzem's assessment of himself and she agreed. Salzem had been a huge idiot. There was little more that could be said about that other than it will end here. Kira got off of him and walked a few feet away, and after the first couple of steps, Salzem felt the feeling return to his limbs and the seals recede. Salzem got up slowly, wiping Kira’s tears off his face. Salzem began to walk up to her from behind, hearing the subtle whispers of the Uzumaki girl telling Salzem not to apologize and that perhaps it WAS time for the demons to be set free so the wounds they’ve caused could be healed. Kira was staring blankly at the sky, seemingly working off all the locks she had put around her monsters. Salzem could only stare at the girl’s back in both adoration and envy that even in depths of her pain that was probably deeper than his own, she managed to conjure up enough sense to know when it was time to stop. Salzem, instead of stepping up beside her, stepped right behind her and wrapped his arms around Kira’s shoulders and held her close to him. He wanted to release all her suffering with this gesture. He wanted her to escape the burning pits of her anger, frustration, and despair. With this gesture of kindness and understanding Salzem was not known for, how much Salzem cared about Kira became apparent. Sure, they hadn’t been together as much as the next guys but that didn’t matter to him. He held Kira close for all it was worth. If she protested or struggled, the boy would let go. He could understand if she did, he supposed…. After all- No. He wasn’t going back down there. He was going to let Kira go if she struggled and just leave it at that. Salzem was going to take Kira’s advice and stop beating himself to a pulp over this. Eventually, Salzem would let Kira out of his hug and, by her shoulders, gently spin her around to face him. He looked at her, not with a cold, angry expression, but one with a warmth and gentleness the boy hadn't (he didn’t think) expressed before. All that mattered in the world right now as that Kira was here and that Kira was suffering.
“Feel better…?” Salzem would ask, matching Kira’s hushed whisper with his own.

It was sudden, arms wrapped around the Uzumaki’s shoulders, engulfing her in an embrace. Her eyes widened slightly in sudden shock as the move was unexpected. She knew it was Sal, as the boy held her close. She could feel the boy’s presence directly behind her, his body pressing against her back as his heat radiated into her own centre. Her gaze fell from the sky and onto the ground below. A slight moment of calm arose from the storm, as she found a sudden peace. Kira just merely stood there in the man’s embrace, as the moment pass. For those brief moments, she felt secure, as if she could drop her guard and nothing bad would happen. She may have lost her family, but maybe she gained something that came to a close second.
Before she knew it, the embrace had rifted and Sal has used her shoulders in order to turn her around to face him. His hands remained atop her shoulders as he tall figured looked down upon her. ‘feel better…?” he asked. His expression was that of that Sal she briefly knew. His gentle nature only caused a blank expression on the girl’s face, as she was rather speechless. She didn’t know what to make of the situation. She looked away from his devilish eyes and bit her lip as she only thought of an answer. The last few moments had been one hell of an emotional ride, so she didn’t even know where he brain was at. She needed time to reflect, that she was sure off. Playfully, the Uzumaki slapped Sal’s hands of her shoulders and took a few steps away from Sal before turning back around. “Oh you know me, always at one-hundred and ten percent!” She said playfully, winking and giving him a big old thumbs up. She let her body crash as she crossed her legs and took a seat in the sun soaked sand. “Hey Sal…” Kira said in a melancholy manner, twirling one of her fingers in the sand. “Are you… staying in Suna?” She finally finished, removing her gaze from the ground and up to the pale boy. From where things left off from Koroshi, it was unknown what was to be made of the boy’s fate. All the she knew was that the Kazekage was going to try to clear the air, and she wasn’t even sure if that was accomplished yet.
