Re: Burning Down the Gates of Konohagakure

Yen spoke thoughrly thought out speech was cut short by an aloof sound of rather bumbly foot steps and a monkey screech. Now surely the monkey was the last thing yen thought would come out of this. And a monkey did jump on him despite his enhanced speed and further reflexes weirdly enough yen was further imparted on the idea that was at hand. A powerful grip caught the aburame as his chakra surged up out of startledness and also began to form up the ever pools of webbing within his stomach as a reaction. In attempt to retaliate then he found himself hurtling at a speed far higher then he was used to. Yet the fact a person tossed was an ever decreasing speed unless wind pressure was not the case. Yet this didn't stop yen from losing his focus as it was better to use this as a spring board. As he was being hurtled through the air the ever presence of kasai was comming closer and closer as he was hustled in a mere as assumed over head toss yen would be tumbling head over heels as he maintained his composure despite the fact. Then as he made it to the top of his third flip yen noted despite the great speed a hand reach out by and yet yen was more then confident this was kasai. And within this moment of action yen actually felt the toss actually had more meaning then some idiotic monkey. Attempting to play games. His kilshiku finished their assistance with his webbing creation and then the wind rushed. As he was tossed sailing backwards from kasai. Yet as this occured yen spat out a single dark blue pulsating web from his mouth not having enough time to make any more.
The web would be double netted dark blue pulsating webbing by the nature that the web's would gain from a condition from his own kilkikaichu and taxing ability on his chakra known as chakra destructive webbing. As yen would be by the time he completed the full motion of spitting out this webbing out from his mouth he would be sailing backward towards the voice of the anbu by 11 meters and on going from kasai. As the web would spread it's power being greater thanks to his grand control of his insects it would be empowerment to the very technique as well as consistant practice a certain gain from the countless hours of molding and unmolding the web's the increase in power as well of the web's.(spider web flower: power: 59, speed: 59, web health and strength:59) despite this jutsu it would be aimed at the back of kasai as he turned away.
As yen was doubtful that his web would do much as push him away yen would find that he would hit the ground and crash into a tree with a crash 20 meters away, as he would skidd back on the ground 3 meters.. As his body would absorb the damage fully thanks to the buff from his jutsu. and yet Irritated yen would take note that tatsugya would still not be in sight as yen rolled backwards and up to his feet a meter behind him as he tried to comprehend the immediate situation at hand. but not that the rain and chakra senses would tell him that he wasn't far at all. His kilshiku outside his body and their eggs would've been destroyed to his frustration. However with this yen would begin calling out his kilkikaichu now as he was gradually irritated. Naturally yen would need more time to figure out tatsugyas actual location yet 20 of them would crawl out from his arms as yen leaned back against the now cracked tree and it would fall back behind him. Yet his focus went away from kasai but now went to finding his accomplice being that of tatsugya. As yen may have looked like he was defeated but now the games were over. As he noted that kasai no longer needed to hear his words. Sadly that reason was beyond yen. Perhaps because there was little point for battle yet it has come to them at last. Did he try to reason yes but now yen further felt his frustration become apparent as he felt his pocket and his soul amethyst was still there. Yen relaxed as he decided to wait it out for once and stayed aware of the situation at hand. Further the larger picture was now starting to come up. As yen decided to place further distance between himself and his adversaries now by going back 5 more meters. Placing him 25 meters away. Deacctivating the jutsu boosting his speed and health and a tiger sign to break the genjutsu was the aburames next action as he debated that a little more distance would reduce the awareness of his time of action. With that in mind yen hopped back close to 8 more meters as he closed his eyes now standing 33 meters away from kasaiAlthough it was small in appearance yen didn't need to activate a genjutsu in order to grab his effectiveness. Now it was time to support the fighters at hand and it was time to act accordingly. The smallest actions made the difference as he called out two more kilshiku from within hiim. (1 male, 1 female) and ordered them telepathically to start replicating on his body. Needless it was surely going to take time but that's what he needed now. More time. As yen sensed out the battle from his spot between two trees. The kilshiku w ould mate and lay four eggs as yen would carefully to the best of his ability watch the battle that ensued out.

Remember what whole thing about the wrench into the well oiled machine of the anbu? Well, today the wrench was distinctly primate in nature, a monkey wrench. Yes, the villagers meant well, this much operative Wolf knew and respected. However, perhaps what the villagers did not know is that they were putting themselves in unnecessary danger? Who was to say really. So, when, shortly after Wolf issued her threat, the once stationary professor of the leaf appeared to be thrown forward a singular thought dominated her mind:
Well, shiiiiit.
Instinct, instinct and training now took over now. There was no time to wait for an answer from her quarry, she had to act before the professor got hurt. Act now. So, much like the flying swordsman, operative Wolf took action the instant she saw the professor launched into the air. A single hand seal, bird, started it all. Continuing in a fluid motion by dropping to a single knee Wolf touched both hands to the earth with her gaze still fixed on the scene unfolding in front of her eyes.
This will be over soon.
While the professor was a quarter of the way through his flight and Konoha's flyboy's sword was halfway through it's arc Wolf's jutsu would start to take effect. In front, behind and on either side of the aggressor, Kasai, spikes of earth would shoot forth at a speed of 40, four in total looking much like cones coming to a sharp point with a rough diameter of a meter and a half. Each set at forty five degrees with the ground the spikes would converge on the young man's waist hoping to ensnare him.
Sure, the spikes were slow but Wolf was counting on all the action going on around her target to act as enough of a distraction. In fact, the spikes would be fully grown by the time the professor would theoretically reach Kasai and a few moments after flyboy's sword may or may not end this whole affair. Luckily for Kasai, the spikes, were they to entrap their target, would stop upon making contact with their target pushing into his skin ever so slightly to make movement without impalement near impossible. On the other hand, were Kasai to somehow escape the maw of the stone, the spikes would continue on until they smashed into each other as a result of their trajectory sending small chucks of earth falling to the ground.
Time to go
Operative Wolf, much like her jutsu, would not stand idle. After calling on the earth to entrap her foe, she found herself keeled on one knee much like a sprinter about explode off the mark. And explode she did. Finger nails growing an inch in length and a wildly hungry look appearing on her hidden face were the only indications of anything awry. Oh well, and the fact that she was now running on all fours. Yeah, might be a dead give away too, just a small one. Making a beeline for the original location of Kasai she ran on with Chai following a few steps behind her-five meters. Her path was clear as day, standing in the center of the barren road Kasai, her prey, would not escape. After all, the debris from the smashed gate lay within the village walls and there were no logs or unsightly rocks lying about thanks to more than a few beatification missions by genin. She would not trip up, not this time. This time she would protect her village.
What the pair would find there depended on many things, but what did matter was that operative Wolf would be there. Be it to collect a body or extract a confession, well, she would soon find out. After all, by the time Wolf closed the first four meters of her charge, the fly-boy of Konoha's sword would have reached it's mark. Did it hit? What happened to the airborne professor with these new developments? Time would truly tell.
Exciting, I have your scent now; there is no escape.
And it was true, Wolf could smell her quarry-she could smell everything.

Boy it was sure hard to be scare when Ling has this big of a posse. Oh well! Yen Flew well! <3. So Kasai seeing Yen fly at him would involve him looking out over the distance between them. Right? Well along the distance was a big ol' pool of water so reflective it looked like the rainy clouds up above were below as well. Not only clouds though. THE GIANT MOON that was in the sky that no one had even noticed. Oh well. If Kasai truly did see Yensung flying at him he would have seen the moon reflecting off the water which would mean....
Bum bum bum!
Genjutsu!
When Kasai's eyes moved across the water he'd grow bleary eyed for a moment before his gaze went back into focus. He'd find himself still looking at the moon reflecting off water, so it'd probs take him a few moments to realize that he was actually not where he used to be. He'd be on a nice beach in the middle of the night with a gigantic moon floating up above and reflecting off the inky blackness that was the ocean in front of him.
Naturally he'd notice this was a genjutsu at some point, well hopefully. So he'd tried to break out. Sadly he'd discover that this was no ordinary Genjutsu this was a Seigan enhanced Genjutsu. With it's power this simple C-Rank Genjutsu had a power of 110, which would mean Kasai would need 82.5 points in chakra to break out. Of course Ling is often, if not always wrong so Kasai might not have any trouble breaking out. Buuuuut Ling was really hoping that he'd be stuck in there for all three turns. Fingers crossed!

(Taking back to before I make contact with Yen, as that's where I got interrupted.)
Kasai took full notice of Yensung as he flew through the air, but did not look at him. He did not have to; he could feel the chakra moving towards him quickly, and hear the movement as well, and if the flying Yen had been a greater threat, Kasai would have looked at him. Yet, while the plan of throwing Yen himself came into his mind, the chakra signature in the sky moved, and at such a speed that it caused Kasai to look up.
He knew quickly that this being would make contact with him before Yen would, and therefore he had no reason to look at Yen, only this flying thing, be it shinobi or not. It moved so quickly that if Kasai had not heightened his speed with the ape transformation, he would not have been able to notice it at all. (reaction time is 210: 150 speed + 60 for reaction time). It was impressive to move so quickly, whatever this flying being was, and Kasai knew it to be a formidable adversary. However, fast as it was, Kasai noticed it, and was able to keep track of its flight pattern, as well as the weapon it carried -- possibly a sword-- and keeping his eyes on it was all he needed.
It was then that Kasai noticed the ground moving around him, slowly coming up in spikes, and guessed it to be the work of the ANBU behind him, as he knew everyone else here, as well as their elements, aside from the flying being, whom he guessed could not use a jutsu while remaining air-born. Kasai, however, took this as an opportunity to vanish, and perhaps cause the tossed Yensung and the flying being to crash into these earthen spikes themselves.
While the spikes began to form, Kasai dropped himself onto them, allowing one spike to dig deeply into his arm as it came up to meet him. However, the very second the spike would have punctured his arm, Kasai used this as an opportunity to activate his substitution, which in its mastered form did not require any hand signs. He figured that one of the debris of the gate would suffice to switch with, and chose one that had landed near Tatsuya. Perhaps it was time that being closer to his one ally would be beneficial in the battle.
So in a poof, Kasai had vanished, a splinter of wood being split in half by the spikes which rose from the ground, and he reappeared closer to Tatsuya, well out of the range of the incoming flying man carrying a sword (for that is what it was), and out of harm's way for the time being.
Or so he thought.
When Kasai came out of the substitution, he noticed in a split second that the attack which Tatsuya had made was not targeted towards the man in the sky, the ANBU, or Yensung, but instead, at Kasai himself. He looked towards his friend as he felt himself become impaled a thousand times, hundreds of cuts forming over his body as the shadows attacked him, the darkness of the shadows quickly covering the bright yellow and red of the paintings of fire that were on his robes.
Then, the fireball hit, knocking Kasai out of the shadows, and sending him a meter, before he fell to the ground, and slide another foot, where he lay, never to rise again.
The mask had been knocked off his face, and lay beside him now, face down in the dirt, while Kasai found himself unable to move. As his eyes looked to Tatsuya, they began to fill with tears, and as he took in a shuddering breath, he could feel blood begin to fill his lungs, and in that moment, Kasai knew that he had been killed and only a few minutes at most remained of his life.
But instead of cursing his life, or his murderers, instead of being angry and attempting one last attack, Kasai smiled. Konohagakure had proved strong enough, and in such a way that Kasai had not seen it coming. He supposed that now, he could finally rest in peace, knowing that the village he had spent his whole life in was finally back on the right track, and could once again stand for itself.
"I should have remembered," he said, out loud, each word a struggle for his body, draining away at the few bits of strength that he know found himself with. "That when I looked at the ninja who would defend this village, you were still among them, old friend."
Kasai stopped, coughing, feeling a strange cold come over his body. To die would be a very strange adventure, he thought to himself. He was glad that he would only have to do it once.
The smile came back then, and through the pain and his joy, a tear slide down the side of his face.
"I suppose," he said, pausing to take a ragged breath. "That the village is in better hands than I expected," he said, though to no one in particular. "That is good to know."
Again, he struggled to take a breath in. He wondered briefly why it became harder and harder each time he tried. It was as if the air around him was slowly growing thicker, and making his vision become slowly blurry.
He glanced first to the anbu, then to where the man in the sky and Yensung would have been, then Risako, where his gaze held a while, and he smiled again, glad that she had finally passed his very last training session. Then, he looked to Tatsuya again.
"I guess this means you pass," he said, finding it increasingly difficult to keep his eyes open. "But the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. Perhaps I will see you again in life," he smiled once more. "Just like a phoenix, rising from the ashes." He chuckled sightly at the thought, which brought about what felt to him like he was coughing on the inside, and when he opened his mouth again, a trail of blood came from the corner.
"But don't think of me," he said, each word now a strain on his body. "I knew I would die today; I was hoping I would. Think of..." his eyes closed. "Think of yourself, and how far you've come." He paused, then added, "all of you. You might not know me, but I know of you, and I'm proud of the Shinobi you've become." And with the exception of the man who had flown, it was true, Kasai had known them all, or at least seen them at some point. He had spent his life in the village, and now, well into his twenties, he had watched and trained half the village to where they were today. He knew some of them would not remember him, but he remembered them all, and he was proud to say that he came from the same village as those who surrounded him as he died.
"Proud that... that you're stronger than I am," he said. He felt it strange that he was unable to open his eyes again. "Because I... I was never enough for the village. But you...." he said. He wanted to keep talking. They had passed, they didn't need to hate him now. They had killed him, through teamwork and the power they had. It had worked, and Kasai had proven that they were able to defend the village against someone as strong as he was, likely even stronger. Couldn't he tell them that? Why wouldn't his lips move? They would like his plan, surely. They would like that it had worked.
It almost made him mad, that he stopped there. His eyes refused to move, and now his mouth did too. No one made a noise, or if they did, then he had lost his sense of hearing as well. The cold had finally stopped, but he could still feel the remainder of his strength fade from him. He hated the feeling, but he fought against it with all the emotion in his heart. This was a good thing. He had died, because he was meant to, and they had done it well. They were ready now, and that was something that Kasai had never thought about himself.
Then, at last, he felt the strength come back in full, as his body relaxed completely, never to move again, and he felt more calm and at peace than he had ever before in his life.
"You are more then enough for this village," escaped his lips, almost as a whisper.
He was proud to be a Shinobi of the Village Hidden in the Leaf, and to be watched over by these guardians of Shinobi.

Yen burtled through the air now with yet more time apparently the20 actions came with little to no shock. As he could hardly move. Now the subsitution as a puff of smoke was where kasai once was and the bumb apparently as nothing occurred brushed off his skin as yen having no logical stopping force went burtling thanks to the pitcher being a monkey non the less was a very good arm. All together thogh was beyond yen as he hurtled through the smoke and such at his now reducing speed. The impact with the spears as they were effectively offered yen no gratitude of pain thamks to his enhanced health not that it mattered to him. The crashing of a tree as stupid monkey finished its throw drowned out all but a slight "splish" now as water was still falling it made sense to yen one would step into a puddle. However there was something different. A light had faded as even the sensation of a radiating heat was fading fast. Something was not right.what's this feeling the warmth of the sun fading despite the rain vanishing... The heat of pure flame extenguished? Or another's flame gone. Yet it's beyond a doubt that only one had a heat so strong.. who struck him? yens question was awnsered as he as quickly as he could got to his feet. What intention to harm a man who posed a threat yet had such a empty stand. The madness had to end even if he had to save him himself.
Yet that was not so as his hands suddenly glowed green and stared at the shadows that enveloped the man like daggers. No these were not peices of rock that would jam through all but his own skin. But the shadows of the one who controls them an nara and further a nara none the less as was there. Tatsugya. "Let him go tatsugya let us save him!" Yen despite a mere order even the fact his words and logic flew out of place. He did not want death. The flashbacks of watching his own parents succumbing to their own ailments came to mind. Kasai was no father but he was looked up to. we may walk death hand in hand but backstabbing by our own despite the side. Good or evil. Corruption or purity. Was not in the cards not an option yeah I don't care how long it takes me I'll stop this death was not in the cards. We had enough to subdue and further convince him otherwise. Don't you even think of giving up you flaming child. As long as there is your will of fire you better stand up yen thought as his chakra flared around his hands green once more.
blood loss, high, implement, check, fuck the odds being a million to one no shinobi die on my watch and so help me if he does I'll give up the offense, bargain and deals. But my allies shall not fall. You fool! Why did you give up! You knew that what I spoke was true. It was all a front to be killed for? No not dead yet. I'll buy him as much time I can even if I must go beyond my own reseves. yen thought as he ran as fast as his body could carry him towards kasai. His breathing shallow and labored as he spoke his laminating speech to tatsugya. "Let him go tatsugya! That's enough! He is no fugitive to hold as an example he's of konoha despite what his actions were must you go and backstabbing your own friend? We reason and even till the very end reason. Life is cherished and preserved not snuffed out. Help me heal him someone. Death was not deserved to kasai and shall not. We must try and will. Even if I must do it myself!" Yen knew deep down his calls were futile the damage looked unrealistic to heal unless sn incredible medical ninja even then it was not in his nature just to give up.
As yen reached kasai he began to grind his teeth his one eye caught the damage as full. Up close the smell of iorn filled his nose as he noted the fresh scent of scorching blood sizzling from kasai unique case. The futileness as yen gazed up close taking note of every puncture as the last breath of kasai vanished like smoke in the sky. Evaporated at now a cold husk remained of the smile on his face at tstsugya... why smile at deaths door? You who would attack the village but yet my words never hit one once! Not a inkling! It was a ploy and a futile effort. But to toss your own life away for a claim that never was true! You lie kasai you lied and knew I was right. That embracing it all at whole and yet you stepped forward. Why? What was there to prove? That together we slay our own brethren! Allies we could talk to one day then get shanked by the your own best friend the next day!? Why continue forward! What did you defend? The village but just to pull an act. yens hands went silent as they stopped flowing with chakra and his hands fell helplessly to his side.
His voice silent like the whisper of a storm as he adressed tatsugya. " you knew all along. Yet even now you still didn't talk it through. You had your hands bleed his blood and yet you knew that even if you had to do this you still didn't stop to think we could hold him down and back? And yet you are content to stab one who you cared for yet never stood there and bagged him to stop?. Have the shadows consumed your light that much that once upon a time you dared to dream. And I don't care about no stupid demon. This is what creates demons. The hand that takes the will to plunge it in their own friends back. We are konoha! And we don't strike down our allies like flies!. We are stronger then the killers we show mercy! Not strike down our ally. You sat there and watched and did nothing to convince him still!.he hesitated and yet you had more influence then me tatsugya! So this is what a leader is for! To strike down and yet not question the motive? I am ashamed to know you as a konoha ninja tatsugya. More then that sitting back and letting one loose on the village alone. Why did you not act? Why did you not do it? It could've been prevented and yet you sit there and never once left just to stab him in the back!. That's no hero under no instances. In fact that's a tyrant and a backstabber!. A back stabbed of his own kin! For what have you gained from this death of your own friend! You may as well have killed yourself as well for the action. One less flame, one less leader, one less man that could've been saved!. Now look at your friend and tell him as you reflect on your actions you tried your best? Go ahead! Tell his corpse before konoha you tried. You lost arms, you died trying to snap him out of it, came running from your death bed to stop him. But a shadow does not understand this does it? So before me go ahead and admit your failure as both a friend and a leader for standing by. Not restraining! And not reasoning! So tell me now in three words why you did such a tragic action!"
Yen was furious as he stared at the figure of tatsugya ignoring to turn off his buff as he was half inclined to just lash at tatsugya as the last bit of his logic subdued his tendency to the harpening of his verbal lashes.
She'd made it just far enough to assess the situation, studying the scene before her as she continued to move towards the gates and stopped. It looked as if the assailant was against quite an opposition, more even then the last time they'd had a situation. She moved to the edge of where the gates had once been, peeking her head around the broken edge of the wall of konoha for barelly a moment to see the man impaled and then more then destroyed further. Assuming these went as they were described she'd simply nod.
~Everything is fine. The village seems to be safe for now.~ Taking a couple steps out she'd take one more look about the village and then seem to disappear into nothingness as Amber summoned her away, each of the trinity going back to the tasks they'd been working on before the danger began.

Zakary only managed a few gasps and sighs of high velocity that were meant to be words. Not only was this the first battle he'd ever seen, if this could be called a battle because of its sheer one-sidedness, it was the first death he'd witnessed. Apparently, Tatsuya wasn't sided with the arsonist, or maybe he was and had a change of heart. Regardless, it was evident that anyone who would assault the village would more than likely not live to regret it unless the guardians of the village wanted them to. It was good that a criminal had been stopped and better that he would be able to train with Tatsuya now that he didn't have to leave, but the fact that someone had died. Zakary wished that people would make better decisions. More prominent than anything, he felt sad, and second to that confused. Still, he couldn't speak for the shock of the events having transpired before him, but he supposed it was just new. He'd get over it. For now, he assessed what had happened more in detail, especially the exceptional teamwork of people who were not communicating. This was mostly to put his other thoughts on the back burner. Zakary carefully and quickly scaled down the wall with his surface walking, and simply started to go home. Only barely could he hear Yensung's verbal tirade against his relative, and though he'd normally stand with Tatsuya on the matter, it was probably deserved. Assuming he wasn't stopped by anyone, he would walk home and go to sleep while trying to avoid thinking about what happened. The only things he'd really learned was how a body dropped and how powerful some ninja were. To his own scorn, he thought that he would definitely have to train his shadows.

The end had finally came. The sword would plunge into the ground as the young males eyes trailed over, the chakra of said target disappearing and reappearing only to be cleaved by the shadows which had been sprung by his partner. With his body floating mere meters from the ground, his eyes now deactivated looked at the body ignoring most of what had been going on before shaking his head and looking onward towards the masked person. While the gender had been unknown he could at least tell that she had to be ANBU, while he could be wrong he would address her none the less," Since you are here it means that everything after this will be handled swiftly...Tell my old man that i'll be heading out to find my older sister," assuming that the masked person knew he was speaking of Kurisu, he would nod and return to the air floating about towards the area of the village to pack his things.
