Long time, no see (Coco, Sal)
Sat Jan 09, 2016 8:22 am
Salzem awoke from a particularly long nap underneath the shadow of a building. He must have slept longer than he intended, however, because the sun was sinking beneath the horizon. The sky was already fading from orange to black and a few early stars could be seen. It was a little chilly, but nothing extraordinary in Suna's nights. Salzem proceeded to get up and brush the sand off his body and hair. He never slept in a bed since he's been in Suna. He only had a set amount of money and no one would hire a Missing ninja for work. Nonetheless, Salzem did what he could to keep Suna village safe. He wasn't allowed to patrol the walls, nor was he allowed to do work directly for the kage, however, Salzem hunted outlaws of his own accord, bringing in who he could, killing when necessary, the classic code of a ninja in his book. Salzem stretched and sighed, loosening up his muscles as he went about his normal rounds. His sanguine eyes peered through alleyways, down long streets, sometimes on the edges of rooftops to see if he could spot any other people who might be a threat to public safety. Although he'd tell anyone who asked that he was just doing what he could to help the village, that was only half of it. Salzem knew the other half was that he was bored and needed something productive to do. It was a long time since he figured he'd reached his maximum potential. Training was a fruitless exercise. He no longer needed to push himself and only trained to stay in shape. A depressing thought. A taijutsu specialist that couldn't get any stronger, any faster, any better. Perhaps he was helping the village in this way to distract him from this thought. If so, he was a selfish being. Perhaps he was doing it because it needed to be done. If so, he was a true ninja. He couldn't tell anymore.

Coco woke up awfully early, she was planning on buying some supplies and what not for when she left suna to do some training in Akira's home village. She didn't know all that much about it but knew that it was an important part of awakening her new bloodline. So it looked like trek into the desert was needed. Not only that but she felt like she needed to clear her head. She was getting a sedentary feeling from life in suna. While that was fantastic for her children and everything there was just something that wasn't sitting right with her. She chewed her lip as she walked through the streets, the head, the sand, the dryness it just didn't feel like home. It didn't feel like Ame. She felt like she would never be truly comfortable here until she found out what happened to her father. She might have to make a stop at the Ruins of Ame before she came back to Suna.
Along her shopping spree she spoted Salzem getting up from sleeping in the shadow of a building. Coco coked an eyebrow, and with a bag full of bagels walked over to the leaf ninja. "I thought someone had said that you'd stuck around. So have you decided to stick around Suna or are you just waiting until something else calls you?"

Salzem had just finished stretching when Coco, a person he hadn't expected in the least, came up to him. He'd first met the... "Something" ninja back when he was a leaf ninja. She went about beating down him, risako, then the hokage, or so he heard. He'd met her again when she became a Suna ninja and granted him access to Suna the first time. Seeing her again still felt slightly awkward with how easily she thrashed him. Nonetheless, Salzem nodded his head politely in greeting as Coco approached him.
"Its good to see you again, Coco." When she asked if he decided to stick around or not, Salzem had to actually think about that one. He might, he might not. He kinda missed moving around, even though it was dangerous. Perhaps Coco had a job for him? Something to do would be a great blessing. Salzem shrugged, not really sure himself.
"I might be leaving soon. Gotta start moving again." He then cocked an eyebrow at Coco, not unlike the look she gave him. "Why?"

Coco shrugged and took on a bored look. "No Reason in particular. I just find wandering souls so intresting. My Fiance is one you know. I just want to know if you'd ever consider settling down somewhere." She smiled at him and crossed her arms. "What would it take do you think? What could Coco do to help you find a place for you to call home?" The suna wind whipped across her and sent her hair flailing about for a little bit. She'd never really known what sort of man that Salzem was. However as far as Mn went he seemed to be some what reliable. Besides could she really blame him for leaving his vilage? She'd done the exact same thing.

Salzem looked at Coco oddly when she mentioned her fiancé. She had a fiancé...? Well... good luck to that guy, whoever he was. Comparing Salzem to that guy must've been a massive compliment, for whoever had the fortitude to stand with/tame Coco is a legend in it of himself. Then, his eyes widened in surprise at what Coco said next. It sounded as if she was offering him a place somewhere... He caught that smile that grew upon her face, and Salzem met it with a stare. He wasn't quite sure how to react to such an offering. He didn't know Coco that well, besides having a vague idea of her strength... But... She was offering him a home... A place to call home once again... It was a very tempting offer... to have a place where your safety is assured... to have a place where people back you unconditionally... He missed those feelings... The leaf spurned him. The Sand didn't quite feel like home. If Coco's offer was genuine, Salzem wouldn't have to worry about the Leaf anymore...
"You have a place in mind?" Salzem asked, genuinely curious. Were he anyone else, he would practically be throwing himself at her in a hug, but thankfully, his restraint prevented such an embarrassing episode. Instead, he offered a thankful smile from behind his gas mask.

Coco just shook her head. "Well I guess it all depends on how much you like beaches." She smiled and turned to leave letting a few meters pass between them before she was out of there. "I'm leaving suna in a few days to do some training. I'd love to have some company on the road." With those words on her lips she vanished down a crowded road giving Sal something to think about. Hopefully.

Salzem looked at Coco oddly when she mentioned beaches. Beaches? Are they going to be on some kind of island, isolated from everyone else...? Salzem had heard rumors of Kirigakure. A place where murder and bloodshed were commonplace. The insane and the powerful are left unleased to wreck the landscape as they will. A place of unrestrained, uncensored chaos. A horrible place to build anything, much less a new village. Salzem, however was up to the challenge if, of course, that's where they were going. Salzem, deciding he wasn't in the mood to watch the streets, returned to his shadow and got some additional shut-eye. Something told him he was going to need it.

As a trial member of staff, I'm gonna approve the exits. If anyone sees an issue, state otherwise.
