The Sarutobi Hidan: Ash (Kiya, P, NK)

Mako had just returned from a long training session somewhere within the land of fire, though its exact location and how to return there was completely unknown to him.  He had spent what felt like weeks with the Monkey sages of the jungles of Naya.  However upon his return he came to find that he had actually been gone nearly 6 months.  In heated training he would have destroyed the only pair of clothes that he took with him, an oversight on his part.  With a poof he would appear having been reverse summoned from the jungle.  Standing before the gate he would be hardly recognizable, his beard grown out to the size of a vagabond and his hair long and tied back in a topknot similar to a samurai.  His current clothes were a robe and some trousers made from animal fur which were easily the least comfortable things he had ever worn. 

He would wave politely on his return every once in a while having to replace the cigarette that had finished up and light a new one.  Though Mako would be making a b-line straight to his families district in town, having just purchased a small house there the moment his trust fund had matured.  He gave up his studio apartment and wanted to build a repertoire within his clan and become a well known member of the village.  He had several ideas on how to do this but the first step would be to get home and cut his hair.

Mako would pick up his pace and leap to the roof tops and begin moving in a hurry toward the district.  His beard itched and he could not remember the last time he had a hot shower.  He felt and looked like a vagabond, all he wanted was to begin getting cleaned up. MAko made the leap over a house and could see the Sarutobi district, as well as his newly purchased home.  He would leap down and run full pace to the door of the home,  He passed by his parents house, the one he grew up in, noting that all of the lights were off and the doors shut up tight, despite it being the middle of the day.  It seemed unusual to him though all he cared about was getting back into some normal clothes and cleaning up.

He went into the house and shed his clothes hanging up his swords on the wall.  He sped through the house turning on the shower letting it warm up.  He would trim his beard to its much shorter and well maintained state in which he liked it and would then cut his hair to a much much shorter length.  Mako would clean up the mess and then jump into the shower.

He felt immensely better as the hot water cascaded over him, and began planning what he would go about doing next as far as training, having completed unlocking all of the monkey summons as well as the nature chakra sage mode senjutsu.  For now he decided he would focus on his weaponry abilities, namely the shadow shuriken jutsu, one that would open up a more powerful area covering span for him to use, Additionally, he needed to master the kage bunshin no jutsu which allowed him to make his clones more effective.  He concentrated on the hand signs while he stood beneath the water.  He easily stayed there for as long as he could before the water got cold,  He would then climb out and put on his usual gear consisting of a black v neck shirt and khaki pants with ninja pouches tucked in the belt.  Then his chuunin flak jacket and put one sword on his back and the other in the back of his belt and tied his head band about his leg.  He found a note on his bed, one that he had missed before, Mako would wander over to it and lift it off the bed opening and reading its contents

"MAko,

Your parents have been called off on an important mission, whenever you return please come visit me. Its about Kiya.

Isako."

His annoying little cousin Kiya, he remembered when she was young.  He had not seen her since he moved out of his parents house and he wondered what type of shinobi she had become in his time away.  He hoped she took up weaponry like her older cousin, though it was unlikely as it wasnt very common among the Sarutobi clan.  Likely she was the shining star of ninjutsu.

MAko would then head out fresh and ready for the new day before him.  He would pull a cigarette from his pouch and place it in his mouth and walk toward his uncle's place and meet him about whatever they had to speak about.  Mako ran up to the door and knocked.  As his unlce and aunt came and met him.  He couldn't tell if the other chakra's were Kiya or her siblings though he could tell someone in there had some decent chakra.

MAko would greet them and show them humble pleasantries, and would ask about what they needed him for.  They sat on their knees around the table, Mako was unsure where Kiya would be.  As Akira poured the tea and Isako and Mako would discuss the matter.

"Would you mind teaching Kiya the Ash Hidan? The few in our clan who have a great deal of control with it are off on missions and we know that you are one of the best.  We believe Kiya could be quite skilled with it."  Isako would ask.

"Hahaha," Mako would snort." Well that is quite a compliment I think, but yes, I would be glad to help.  I have Jounin exams in less than a month and I could use a worthy training partner."  Mako would then reply.

Kiya Sarutobi is a promising kunoichi in the Villiage hidden in the leaves, by the age of 8 she had mastered every academy level Jutsu with relative ease she was a prodigy some would say. As smart as she is her life began with tragedy. When Kiya was the age of six she had heard news her older brother Toson was killed on a mission to the Village hidden in the mist and two years latter news would break that her sister, Tieka was also killed on a mission, Kiya would become cold and distant from others.  She spent, most of her youth avoiding others and training so that she will not end up like her siblings she will be strong so that her parent will never know the pain of losing their last child to the life of a shinobi.
 
 
It was just a normal day for the young kunoichi. Kiya at the age of 13 stood at about 5’3 and 100 pounds even. She had a nice greenish black hair that reaches a quarter of the way down her back with shapely bangs dignifying the side of her face. She was wearing a yellow Kimono top with red accent and a purple skirt which went down to her ankles. On her feet, she was wearing the typical sandals of a young lady. Kiya was out for a stroll walking to the Yamanaka flower shop by request from her father she had assumed it was for her mother's birthday but that would be giving him to much credit. Walking to through the village Kiya always observes the individual personalities of the people around other people intrigued her. Kids picking flowers mothers gossiping about how their kid is better than another. 
 
The young girl would normally be training at this time of day but her father had something important to tell her so she determined one day would be okay to skip rather reluctantly to say the least. The genin had just been promoted and had not been assigned to a proper team yet for unknown reasons and took her combat education into her own hands.
 
Kiya walked slowly back to the Sarutobi district. Her family is one of the most prestigious in the Villiage. She loved her family very much and they are very near to her heart. Walking back to her house she notices the lack of light in her Aunt and uncles house."They must be on a mission." she remarked to herself carrying the vibrant bouquet of flowers. Finally reaching her house she heard her father Isako talking to a man the voice, at first, was unfamiliar but upon closer examination she realized it was her cousin Mako he had been away for what seems like a year training god knows where. Kiya opens the door quickly and looks at her cousin. “Welcome back.”

Mako would smile when the girl would come in through the entrance, seeing her brought up nostalgic memories of the past, both good and bad  This situation helped him forget the stress that he currently endured after being gone for so long.  Mako would stand up off of his knees, facing his uncle and bow in his direction, as well as bowing to his aunt.  He would then grab his tea and down it in one large gulp and walk toward her, where she stood in the doorway. He saw the bouquet of flowers in her hand and figured they were meant for someone so as he passed her on his way out the door Mako would simply say, "Ready to do some ninja training?"

Mako would then proceed to step out on the porch and light another cigarette, and as was typical with any training he did he would bring his spectacular training companion along.  He would prick his finger on a kunai, since he hated biting it, and would place his hand upon the ground channeling his chakra into a seal that would form from the connection.  A large cloud of smoke would appear as a small monkey would fly out of the cloud and land directly on Mako's belt pouch.  The monkey would begin viciously rooting through Mako's belt pouches until it produced a cigarette.  The monkey was no bigger than a spider monkey only about 3 and a half feet from tail to head, it had a red fur color and wore a bandanna about his head with a fire symbol in a red sun upon it.  The monkey had a scar over its left eye, seemingly a gash from a claw of some sort.  Sushma would then run up Mako's flak jacket and perch on his right shoulder lighting the cigarette and laying back.  "Ahhh, this is the life aint it Maks?"  Sushma would then state to the chuunin. "Its nice to be back in the village." 

"Yea, you got that right buddy." Mako would reply to the monkey's last statement.  "Today we are going to teach Kiya ash, and since you trained me, I figured it would be good to have you along."

"Oh yeah, no problem big guy, but it'll cost ya..."  As the monkey began trying to haggle with Mako about how many cigarettes Mako would owe him for the training.  Of course Mako would not be out haggled by a monkey.  They began arguing somewhat about how many smokes a training session would cost.  They likely wouldnt find a solution ever but for anyone watching it would be an absolutely hilarious thing to watch as the monkey ran circles around Mako trying to steal from the pouch only to be caught by its tail and held out forced to comply.  The Monkey and Mako would stand outside awaiting Kiya's return and they could head off toward the training grounds where Mako would do some studying and teach the prodigious Sarutobi how to access her Ash Release.

Kiya having had he cousin walk past her walks to her room and changs into her gear. Kiya wearing a brown chest piece standard ninja pants and sandals with a brown shin guard and her standard Konoha headband. Kiya walks by her parents who are sitting at the table having seemingly gone back as if everything was normal and fine. 

Kiya was running to the training field, she always secretly wanted to learn Ash but never had a member wanting to teach her how to do it now that Mako is here she was estatic to be able to learn from her older cousin who she now looks up to as an older brother type after the tragedy that recently befell her older siblings. Upomn finally reching her cousin's locatiaon she would be shokced to see a monkey tormenting him. She has always loved monkies and freaks out when she sees one it might be becasue her family and monkies have always had a very sacred bond. "He is so cute." Kiya rushes to the chimp and begins to play with his cheeks "Look at how chubby they are! Oh yeah Mako I am ready to begin learning the style of ash when you are." as she is till playing with the monkey unaware of how uncomfotable he is becoming as his agitation grows her intrest dwindles. "Ready?"

Sushma, following the compliment would be absolutely ecstatic, the monkey would then run in a circle and climb up her back and perch on her head, being a spider monkey he weighed no more than 5 pounds and would not bother her much, besides possibly messing up her hair.  Given that they were going to begin training soon, Mako thought messed up hair would be the least of her concerns. 

Mako would proceed to place a cigarette in his mouth flicking out the old one with his right hand.  He looked down at the ground letting his hair cover his eyes.  His face taking a very solemn appearance, his left hand striking the match and lighting the cigarette.  After breathing out the light gray smoke he would speak.  "I am truly sorry about your brother and sister, trust me, it had nothing to do with their skill as shinobi.  Your brother was one of the greatest in the clan.  There are monsters in this world, monsters with unimaginable strength. and that is why I fight."  He would finish with a long silence then sigh, exhaling smoke. Mako would then Lift his head, then look at her and smile with the freshly lit cigarette dangling from his mouth.  The brand of cigarette he smoked was backed full of nicotine, but was wrapped with a unique paper that made it produce a dull smell easy to cover.  Perfect for shinobi.

"Now, we need to discover your main element, though like most Sarutobi it is most likely Fire. If it is, I will most likely only have to teach you how to unlock Earth. Once you have both, I can teach you Ash,"  Mako would say to her.  He would then form a one handed tiger seal and focus his chakra downward to the ground.  The ground would shift as a long cane would rise from the ground it was about 5 foot in length and was harder than stone as it was made of chakra enhanced earth.

Sushma the monkey would lean forward from where he sat on Kiya's head and whisper " I taught him that."

MAko would slide his foot roughly connecting with the bottom of the cane and grab it with his right hand breaking the cane off.  He would spin the rock staff around once and slam it on the ground.
"Come on, Kiya, once we figure out your main element then we can show you your second element, but first we need to go somewhere to train." Mako would say as he walked over to a  large section of ground, that had dummies and trees and other assortments of training stuff that all of the Sarutobi's in the district used for training, Including a big pond in the middle.  Here he would proceed to jaunt over to the edge of the pond and turnabout to face her.  He had been using the staff as a walking stick though it was somewhat heavier than a normal walking stick.  He reached into his pouch and held out a small strip of paper.

"This is chakra filament paper it will help you to determine what your main chakra element is just focus your chakra into it like surface walking."  He focused his own chakra into it.  It then ignited and burnt to a crisp in his fingers.  Mako pulled out another and handed it to Kiya.

Standing silently as Sushma sat on her head Kiya fixes the back of her hair in order to look decent. lifting her left arm she  pets the simian and smiles once more. Looking onward toward her cousin she notices his cigarette goes out. She was never into the whole aspect of smoking like so many others in her family and most probably won't start with the habit. 

Standing in the field a soft gust of wind is felt periodically as it carries her hair and flower petals with it. The breeze was calming in a way seeing as how nervous Kiya was to finally learn the release  of her family and cement her name firmly into the Sarutobi namesake.  With a soft sigh leaving her lips she takes the paper from his hands. 

Upon inspection, the paper is no different from  well a normal paper. Instead of showing her novice by asking if he had handed her the same paper as the one he just demonstrated with she  begins to focus her chakra into a the palm of her hand and like that the paper burns up in her hand. Her instructors have always noted she had great chakra control as she learned how to walk on walls and water at a very early age this felt no different then doing those very things to the young woman. "SO I guess Fire is my element as you expected."

Mako was quite impressed with the chakra control Kiya had shown him just now.  This was something that took Mako days to accomplish on his own.  He was impressed, but not surprised she was a Sarutobi after all. He always knew his younger cousin was driven, and unlike himself had managed at a very young age to be quite impressive, and that showed through her skilled manipulation of chakra.  She would easily surpass him in ninjutsu one day, of this Mako did not doubt. 
 
Mako would jump a bit when she managed to ignite the fire paper, and would reach up and scratch his head. "Well, fire it is." A smile would appear on his face and his eyes would slant while a lit cigarette dangled out of his mouth. "That means you need to learn earth.  Earth is the master element, it is the basis of everything.  It is everywhere you go and available to you at all times, it is versatile and extremely useful, and even without the requirement to know how to perform our kekkei genkei it is an element worth learning.  How I found my element was a matter of luck, and I didnt even expect it." He reminisced of his training with the strange Yuki boy Cole and his immense mastery of Ice. "Though you are much better at chakra control than I was at your age so it may not be so difficult for you.  Just follow Sushma's lead and he will show you a meditative position that allows your chakra to flow perfectly through you uninterrupted, this should speed it along.  Though don't get in too much of a hurry all you have to do is discover that you are capable of using it, then we can move on to ash.
 
Mako would flip out his Shadow Clone book and begin reading it next to the pond.  Sushma would do a leaping cartwheel off of the girls head and land gracefully balanced on his tail.  "Now kiddo you sit kinnda like this." The monkey would cross his legs in front of him and place his hands on his knees straighten up his back, the stolen cigarette still in his mouth. "Then ya just wiggle around til ya feel that chakra spring through ya, once ya do just hold still no matter how uncomfortable it is."  The monkey would then wriggle about on the ground and then stop.  Sushma would then leap off the ground and start digging at his leg until he caught a flea, Sushma would then toss the flea within his mouth and go back to a sitting position trying to pretend that didnt just happen.

Mako would look down at his watch realizing how late it had become, the girl would have been working on the earth element.  Mako was a busy man and a busy chuunin who had just recently been given a team to look out for.  He had already smoked about a half of a pack of cigarettes down to the butt in this time period and needed to go somewhere.  He would stand from where he sat next to the pond edge, he needed to at least try the jutsu once while Sushma tutored the girl.  Mako would reach around and  fiddle in his pack of ninja tools producing a shuriken. Mako would spin it between his fingers and launch it toward a tree, in the blink of an eye he would perform the hand signals and focus his chakra into the flying shuriken.  At that point the shuriken would turn into 20 more flying at a speed of 140 and thudding into a tree with 20 dull thuds with a few rings scattered here and there as the shurikens crossed over each other.  Mako would walk up to the tree and pull out the original investigating the tree and the spread of the justu.  Not as accurate as he would've liked but for a first attempt he guessed he couldn't complain too much.
 
Mako would look around and watch as the monkey showed her the monkey meditation, a form of meditation he had learned a long time ago.  Mako would walk over to the girl, and put his hand on her head and ruffle her hair a bit, "Hey, I gotta go.  If you need anything, I'm here.  That's what family is for.  You know where I live, just knock.  And if yhou need any more help getting these elements I can show you then."  Mako would say with a cigarette dangling from his mouth.  Mako would then proceed to walk out of the small training area they were in.  He would look around thinking about hs two lost cousins and of how that affected Kiya and the rest of his family.  Mako knew he needed to get stronger, and the only way to do that would be to pass these exams.  He was a miltary man though he hadn't always showed it.  Something about training in the land of monkey's had brought it out in him.  He let his hands rest on his collar of his flak jacket much like Bane.  He continued walking through the streets and would go back to his normal duties for a while.  He had so much to accomplish and little time to do it.
 
It would only be a few days until the Jounin exams started and he had too much work to do, Mako would dismiss the monkey not long after leaving the girl. Letting Sushma go back to his home with the monkey's.  Then Mako would head for home and pass out.
