Fly Away, Young Birdie [solo,nk]

It was the time of the day when Kozai usually would be preparing for a long night's work. He had some rudimentary lab gear set up on his coffee table, and a desk that had a bunch of records on it from the library. Before getting to looking at some of the cells he had created from The Seed, he went and reviewed the records. Uh-huh... all seemed well.

It was then that he looked at the map on his wall. Hold on a second...

"CRAP!" He slammed his fist on the plywood desk, causing it to shudder and collapse for the 3rd time since he had started living there. Hmph, he had missed out on something important; it was a linguistics twist that he had failed to think about when talking to Aki. How could he have missed it? I must be slipping, he thought.

Oddly enough, it seemed like there were no messenger birds available. Reaching out his window, he'd speedblitz a passing pigeon and grab it. Reaching out with his chakra senses, he located Aki at her residence. Hmm, he'd need to exert himself a little bit. He quickly jotted down a message:

To Akihana

Re: Water

I have more information on the well you were asking about. Tying it to the bird would make it too heavy. Come when you're available.

With that, he tied the paper to the bird and stepped outside.

"HUP!" 

He chucked the bird, and it went sailing in a nice parabolic arc, landing the trussed and concussed pigeon on Akihana's balcony.
