Riot? Risako's Concert Is to Blame?
Sun May 01, 2016 5:14 am
- Mission:
- Mission Name: Stop the Riot
Rank: C
Type: Containment.
Character Requirements: Genin Squad/Chuunin or higher.
Mission Location: Village Gates, Konoha
Word Count Requirements: 4000
Repeatable? Yes
Reward: 2000 Ryo
Task: A group of non ninja teens have taken up arms and are beginning to attack the village gates with them, causing damage and creating a ruckus. Your mission is to stop the riot without harming the teens and bring them to a containment facility. Watch out, because they may try to become hostile towards you.
Is it odd to wake up every day with a new mission to attend to? Most people in the village hidden in the leaves said no, but there seemed to be a knock at the door every time Kirino woke up. It got so awkward the guy delivering the missions would call the girl by name and even said it was odd how often I get these things on more than one occasion. Waving to each other the guy said Kirino’s while the girl said. ”Later Jim.” Walking into the house and closing the door Kirino read over the days assignment.
Hmm, so a group of teenagers is rioting over something and I need to figure out what that is and stop them from attacking without hurting them. There are two others on the mission Risako Akara and Maloren Hyuuga. The Kaguya smiled as she realized those were two people she has worked with before, well one them. ”Well this mission should be pretty easy.” The white haired girl said calling for her familiar Foxxy to follow along out of the door, so that she could lock it. After that Kirino would head down the street, running on buildings with the young fox in her arms.
Moving down the street it said the meeting location was by the village gates, so in less than five minutes Foxxy and Kirino would arrive and then would either wait on them or go to wherever they were. At the gates the trouble seemed to be worse than what the girl had originally thought as she herd banging coming from the other side of the gate. There seemed to be some guys on the top of the gates looking at what the rioters were doing. He looked back to inform one of the other people on guard of the situation.
“They found a dead tree and are trying to use it to knock over the gate.” He said as another loud bang shook the gate he called down to the people. “That isn’t going to work.” He yelled as he stumbled slightly when they slammed the log into the gate again. ”How many of them are out there?” Kirino asked of the man at the top of the gates who had counted them before when he issued the request for help at the gates. “There are twenty of them, they are only using swords and they don’t seem to have any ninjutsu.” He motioned for the girl to come forward, but she was still waiting for one of her team members to call her name or tap her on the shoulder. So whatever it was that this guy wanted had to be done quickly.
“Okay, so these people are from the land of fire. Hurting them is not an option, so if you were sent to stop the riot keep that in mind.” Kirino fully understood the situation if they killed these people for attacking the gates, the leaf would be no different than the mist village. A place where people are killed for practice and used to help ninja grow.

((Sorry for the late reply, mono is a horrible thing to live with T_T))
Maloren awoke that morning with a long stretch before sitting up in his bed. He gave his neck a quick crack as he was want to do before standing up and stretching once more. Hey, it feels good okay? He shook his head awake before stepping into his shower and cleaning himself off for the day. About half way through he heard a familiar 'THWACK' that signified he had a mission assigned. See a couple of weeks back Maloren decided to make the deliver guys job easier by putting a target on his bathroom wall. When he goes to shower the delivery guy doesn't have to wait, he just moved around to the window Maloren opens before stepping in and he can deliver it via kunai and be about his day. Our young hero quickly finished his shower, he didn't think the mission would be THAT urgent if an ANBU hasn't been sent to fetch him stark naked. He dried himself off before grabbing the scroll and reading it thoroughly twice. "So a bunch of kids are causing a riot huh? Gotta defuse the situation without it getting violent..And I'm working with someone named Kirino Kaguya, and...Sako? Well alrighty then." He said simply before stepping out of his bath room. He walked over to his dresser and contemplated his wardrobe. If he could wear something that would help for the mission it would make everyone's life easier. He decided to forego his usual t-shirt and cargo pants look in favor of the more traditional Hyuuga Robes. They commanded respect, his were fully black as well so they did well to make his already noticeable eyes even more so. That and his orange hair. But what can ya do? He changed and took a moment to get a feel for moving in them again. The mission was against combat, but you never knew what could happen after all.
Once he was satisfied with how everything felt he moved downstairs and bid farewell to his mother and father. Both of whom were happy with his appearance, and moved toward the village gates. He dashed across the shinobi highway, AKA: The Rooftops, towards the gates, hearing a commotion as he got closer. He eventually landed next to a rather beautiful young woman around his age. He raised an eyebrow at the scene before wordlessly activating his byakugan. He took a quick count of the people on the other side of the gate as they tried to force the gate down with a dead tree. He briefly wondered if that tree was aftermath from Queen taking out half the forest before getting back on track. He counted twenty people all around his age armed with swords. "Maloren Hyuuga..You certainly aren't Risako, so that must make you Kirino Kaguya, a pleasure." He said simply before looking up toward the man on the gate. "Have they made any kind of demands? What do they even want so bad they'd tried to bust into a shinobi village?.." He asked simply as he deactivated the dojutsu. This would allow the guard on the gate to know he had his full attention it was only polite after all.

Re: Riot? Risako's Concert Is to Blame?

She rolled over, closing her eyes in an attempt to ignore the incessant buzzing sound coming from the alarm clock accompanied with sounded like an animalistic snore. Reaching up to grasp her pillow, she pulled the corner of it over her ear, all in a vain attempt to shut out the sound. Finally, the dark haired woman threw her covers off herself and onto the floor, marching right across the apartment, practically kicking the door open as she went out into the hall.
Marching down the length, she squinted her eyes to see a bit better in the dark, saying the numbers of the apartments to herself as she made them out. "308, 309, 313, 314," The next door. "316," bingo. Wrapping her knuckles against the door a quick few times, she heard the beastly growls coming from within and suddenly had second thoughts. When she heard no pause from the bear like snoring, she knocked on the door once more. Again, no change. Biting her lower lip, she started pounding on the door until it had stopped.
Now there was silence.
Followed by sudden thwack.
Followed by more silence as the pieces of the alarm clock finished sprinkling around Risako's nightstand. Her neighbor, satisfied, fled back to the safety of her apartment before the angry Akara could make it to her door.
Not that Risako was really angry at all, and she wouldn't have had anything bad to say anyway. Flinging her own covers off of her body, she got up and made a staggering beeline to the bathroom. Afterwards, she made her way to the fridge, which was a very short distance from the bathroom thanks to the lay out of her apartment. Grasping the handle, she pulled it back and stared into the incandescent goodness of her fridge, perusing the little goodies that had been stowed away into the shelves and corners. It seemed like hours, before she finally grabbed the chilled candy bar. Heading back to her bed, her gentle fingers had went to work of freeing the treat from its plastic prison. Plopping down on the foot of her bed, she ate her meal as she stared off into the darkness of the room.
What, was she a fucking vampire or something? Biting onto the candy bar to free her hands, she took off her shirt and tossed it at the light switch, just heavy enough to press the button style light and flicker power into the bulb.
Her pupils constricted rather quickly as the light had come on, almost so that she didn't have to wince at the sudden brightness. Taking the last bite of her food, she plopped back on her bed and move her hands around, searching for her uniform top, and the rest of her uniform, which was likely scattered around her apartment somewhere. Grasping the first piece of loose cloth, she had found one part to her outfit. A form fitting grey shirt made of a material that wicked away sweat. This was mostly for comfort. Slipping it on, she pulled it down around her waist.
Twisting to get a better view of her bed, she noticed a lack of certain lack of her shirt. Looking off to the side, she found it on the ground beside her bed... It was probably filthy, so she decided to leave it where it lay. This would probably be fine, the only thing on her schedule today was the morning gate shift. Which was easy enough.
Finding the rest of her uniform, she made her way to the gates. As she neared the gates, hands in pockets, slouch intact, and head low, she heard the musings of a mob. Again?
Walking up next to Maloren, she took her hand out of her pocket and let it hang freely. Hmm... She began to wonder why she hadn't been alerted of the incident sooner. She'd have probably not dilly dallied on her way up here.
"So what's going on," she would ask of the two with a cocked eyebrow, disregarding the extra man. His shift was up, so he took his leave and went on home. Risako would make quick eye contact with Kirino before shifting to Maloren as she asked her question.

The girl turned around as she was greeted by Maloren Hyuuga the boy who had been mentioned in the scroll. ”Good morning, Maloren, yes I am Kirino. It is nice to meet you.” She said with a smile while moving closer to the gate to better hear what they had been yelling about. The guard spoke to Maloren, while the girl was listening. “They want money and food, apparently wolves have been attacking their sheep and cattle. When I told them to wait for a response from the hokage, they took up arms and found the tree.”
The girl at this point began to climb the wall looking down at all of the people. There are quite a few of them, all armed and angry. When Kirino thought that Risako had arrived at a brisk pace and as she had the guard reported to her and left, leaving the chuunin and two genin to handle the situation. ”Well there are about twenty people rioting, about their unprotected herds. Maybe promising them to take out the wolf population would help settle them a bit.” Kirino said to the two ninja. She looked back to the gate as another loud thump from the tree sounded once more.
”What do you think we should do Risako?” While the Kaguya had the plan of talking them out of it, if it were not to work she had a plan B readied to knock out all of the people with the help of the other two and let someone talk to them. Just like how it should have happened had they not attacked. She wanted to ask Maloren what he thought they should do, as with three people thinking was better than two. ”Maloren do you have any ideas on how to settle the crowd?”

Maloren shook his head at the situation, a light wind blowing through the area and ruffling his robes and hair a bit in the wind. He sighed audibly as he thought about the situation. The mob was scared for their livelihood, and that was all well and good, but they know how the system works. They pay us for our protection in the form of missions. This allows us to provide for own families and military by sustaining the economy. They couldn't just demand this be fixed. This situation easily outlined a C rank mission for a genin team to handle the wolves. They could even make a D rank mission out of delivering food and supplies. Their own mission was to disperse this mob with non violent means.
"We need to keep in mind the village economy on this one.." He began as he started to voice his thoughts from before. "Taking care of the wolves is easily a C rank mission for a genin team, especially since the animals are now willing to go near human settlements to hunt as they're usually afraid of them.." He continued as he sighed at the situation. "Even a mission to deliver supplies to them would be a D rank mission that would help boost the villages economy, even is only a little..It also puts money and experience in the hands of our own shinobi. We can't just go deal with it ourselves without the hokages order, and they should know that. "I don't like it in this case, but our village and comrades must always come first.." He finished as he looked to Risako for an idea.
"What do you think Sako?" He asked, she had been a shinobi much longer than he had, and had more experience to boot. She could probably figure to take of this mission easily enough, after all anything he could do would injure them, and Kirino was asking them, meaning she was at a loss as well.

Hmm. About the time that Kirino said, “There are about twenty or so people rioting,” Risako would think to herself, “I’m not blind. I don’t have a byakugan, or a sharingan, but I’m not blind,” while still listening to Kirino’s little spiel about what was going on. While doing so, she took a seat on the wall with her legs hanging off the side towards the rioters, swinging her legs back and forth like a child sitting in a chair too large, her back took its regular slouch. When asked what she thought of the situation, she just remained silent, until their white haired little genin decided to ask Maloren what he thought.
She would let him finish his rambling about the economy, and finally the spotlight was brought back to Risako once more. Shrugging her shoulders, she just said, “Follow along I guess.”
Still sitting, she gave a quick wave to the rioter’s, accompanied by a toothy grin. Not shouting, but being loud enough to be heard, she spoke up. “Peoples, calm yourself.” Booing resounded the crowd. “GO home, we’ll take care of the wolf problem.” Would it work? Her ultimately charismatic attempts at persuading the ruffled masses to go home? Certainly not.
Well when diplomacy didn’t work, violence was usually the next step. She would hold off on that for just a bit though. Glancing to each of her genin, she would raise an eyebrow, “Well. That didn’t work.” She stated, staring back to the crowd once more. “Violence then?”, her voice questioned, waiting approval from the easily smitten boy and the brutal white haired Kaguya.

It seemed that Maloren had a few ideas to give about what they could do to help these villagers. He said they could do supply runs and take care of the wolves. They were definitely some good ideas, Kirino had hoped the village was going to do something about the problem since the last encounter she had with the animals. If the ninjas ideas could sway the minds of the villagers maybe nothing would get out of hand and the people would drop their weapons and accept the terms of the village. These people didn’t really have a choice though one ninja was enough to take them all on, there were currently three.
It seemed their leader had another idea by telling them to go home and the problem would be solved. They booed her, so I guess that was an answer of its own. She called that diplomacy? It wasn’t an amazing attempt by any means, but she had tried. Kirino climbed the gates and stood atop them when Risako asked for violence, the genin shook her head no throwing in her vote on the matter. If the chuunin pressed on with the idea though she would follow through with her orders. ”Maybe intimidation.” The bone around her body cracked as they pierced through the girls skin, she looked down at them all.
”You can do what my comrade has said or.” Pulling out her spine she latched onto the log and wrestled it from the men carrying its arms. She then threw the log into the woods with all of her might, making sure no one was still holding it before doing so. ”That can become you.” Certainly fear with a show of might was better than a half true show of diplomacy. If these people were smart they would leave with their freedom and all of their teeth.

Maloren raised an eyebrow and grinned at Risako's attempt at 'diplomacy'. He shook his head and chuckled before moving up to the wall with them. He watched Kirino's attempt at intimidation and raised an eyebrow at the bone whip she pulled out of her back. That sight alone would cause most people to turn tail and move away, but now the crowd was simply trying to assault the door with their swords as if it would help. He raised an eyebrow at the clearly illogical decision. Violence was certainly looking like an entertaining option..A thought occurred to him at this point as he looked to both Risako and Kirino "You know...with the gentle fist style I've been learning for years I could paralyze them with a simple touch...they literally wouldn't be able to move while we took them to the containment facility..." He said, loud enough for the crowd to hear. The word "Gentle Fist" would cause some of them to pause hopefully as it was generally mentioned in regards to the Hyuuga Clan. Meaning some of them would realize the threat wasn't an empty one.
He wondered what Risako and Kirino would think of the idea as a light breeze blew through the moderately high altitude. He briefly played with the thought of jumping down to make it look like he was being serious just to see what they did. Their reactions would be interesting that's for sure. But of course they might attack him, and he'd have to actually go through with it. He had a second thought and looked down at those that were staring up at them and activated his Byakugan. He figured maybe they would think he was getting serious about going through with that same threat from before and a few of them actually dropped the swords and moved toward the back to wait the end of this. He turned to Risako and grinned "Your turn again, let's see what you got eh Sako-chan?" He said in jest.

Before Kirino could finish moving to the top of the gate, Risako would shout and stop her. “Kirino!” Vague flashbacks of what happened to that one bandit who tried to steal some of the Hokage’s intel flashed through her mind, and for a split second her knees were weak, her palms sweaty, oh lawd it’s on her sweater already, mom’s spaghetti. “No.” This would cut off whatever Maloren’s plan was as well, provided they both listened to her. I mean, not listening to her would be treason, which is punishable by death, so.
While Risako may have threatened with violence, her real plan couldn’t be farther from the truth. As she stood up, she began to speak. “Alright. I’ll say this, as of right now, your wolf problem lies on my shoulders, and I shall take care of it. Now go home.” As she said go home, she gave a wave of her hand, making some lame gesture. While her hand was moving, she was busy focusing her chakra into disrupting that of the villagers, as well as her teammates. To everyone within twenty meters of the spastic chuunin, including Maloren and Kirino, the villagers would lay down their arms and head home. Or they would appear to, for everyone.
Each and every individual villager would at first continue their protest until they thought they realized the rest of the protesters had given up. At which point, they would also head home, believing that their comrades had already done so. Maybe one or two continued, but they would just wind up detained. After the area was clear, she would let the genjutsu go, and Maloren and Kirino would see the two that remained. Actually, Risako wasn’t sure if Maloren’s Byakugan would let him see past the trick, but if it did then props to him. If he messed it up, she’d break him.
“Detain the rest and lock them up for twenty four hours, I’m gonna go take care of this wolf issue.” Hopping down from her spot, she would take off into the forest, trailing the rioters back to their homes. The fox would then search and wait, all day and night, perhaps more than one day, but not really, if she had to, to catch or kill these wolves.

Re: Riot? Risako's Concert Is to Blame?

Whilst climbing the gate the chuunin said the genin’s name and no. No what? Kirino thought getting to the top as to stop wasting her own energy. Does she not want me to do anything to solve the problem? Has she come up with a solution? It would seem the chuunin had arrived at a solution, one which she had already attempted. Risako once more said for them to go home and the difference now was that she herself would handle the wolf problem. You already tried that once it didn’t… As the girl began waving around her hands some of the rioters dropped their weapons and turned. ”Wow, it seems you have a tongue of silver. It would be gold, had they left the first time.” The girl said smiling from atop the gate, giggling at her own joke.
After most of the mob had left it seemed that only two had remained who were to be arrested. The genin jumped down next to one of the men, who took a swing with his club. She didn’t move and only let the thing smashed against her hardened skull and break. ”Sticks and stones can’t break my bones.” She giggled and wrestled the man to the ground while tripping the other with a swift kick to the back of the leg. ”By order of the leaf you are both under arrest.” Kirino cuffed both of the men and threw them over her shoulders and climbed the gate. Both men were relatively unhurt the kick was not enough to break bone, but would definitely leave a bruise. She looked at Maloren. ”I can handle this if you want to go with her.”
After saying that Kirino did as asked and told the jail guard to hold them for twenty-four hours. Thirty if they gave him a hard time, but no more. She would then leave and collect her reward.
