Mako would see the serpent dodge the growth and knew that Genma's final attempt would spell doom for the Monkey King.  Mako knew from the smoke dispelling from the desummoning he would lose track of the beast.  However as the timeline put the current situation Mako would have only just finished his attack on the substitution.  He would have some time to react to everything occurring. Instead of placing the sword away he would instead reach into his weapon pouch and produce a kunai that he had previously wrapped an explosive tag around the handle of.  Having just finished his quick draw.  Seeing the growth of his allies blade Mako would easily predict the destruction of his platform, so when he saw the creature move to dodge the sides of the blade Mako would start his reaction he would throw the kunai at the beast lighting the explosive tag, toward where the clone would start to disappear in the smoke.  Given how he would have to move for maximum trajectory he would then find the balance on the log while weaving the hand seals for the shadow shuriken jutsu with his free left hand.  This would serve to copy the kunai one thousand times.  Finishing the tech slightly before the first thrown kunai would hit which would be just where orochimaru would erupt from the smoke, having aimed perfectly.  The timing of the jutsu would be ideal allowing him to copy the shuriken just as the snakes began flowing from his mouth as a thousand kunai began impaling snakes and the beast simultaneously speed of 133 (sharpness of 50),  making sure they hit Orochi with kunai and using much of them to catch the mouth snakes with kunai and the explosion up to come.  The spread of the kunai would make dodging the kunai difficult and the explosion even more difficult to dodge.

 It would be just as the logs slapped the water which was not very high away from where the log sat over it.  that the explosion would then go off and covering a great area. catching all of the regurgitated snakes within it and Mako would lightly leap onto the water moving hastily to get back to land.

-40 for shadow shuriken, -5 for water walking

Nothing he had done was working,  Mako would barely make out the snakes form as it ducked below the  kunai barrage and slithered away to safety, though he wasn't entirely certain whether it got out because he only glimpsed the movement.  He had to go with his gut, that he had once again failed to ensnare the snake in his attack.  Not taking any chances Mako would decide his only action he maintained at this point was to flee the area and recoup in a more advantageous position.  So just as the snake hit the water following the useless explosion Mako would run out of the water and as far away from the current battlefield as possible.  Starting his run at a humble 62.5 and out and away from the battlefield, hoping to escape the water and the snake fiend who would soon be chasing him,  he would find an open clearing surrounded by a copse of trees with little to no water, choosing to keep his chakra treading jutsu active to aid his movement through the gunk and mud allowing himself to stay atop.  If orochi continued his jutsu with the ten thousand snakes Mako would attempt to outrun them as well, knowing he could speed up to much higher than they could move.  If he would be able to enter the copse unattacked he would stand front and center hoping to not be accosted and gain a moment to speak with his enemy.
