Zap Zap! (Jaytori)
Tue May 24, 2016 4:03 pm
Ichiro waited at the training grounds for his sensei, Jaytori. Today was the day he was supposed to be taught cool lightning tricks since he hasn't even got around to learn any. Yeah it's true, Ichiro is a bit of a slacker and just didn't feel all too comfortable yet to even try anything lightning related, well he had infused lightning in his tanto but that was super easy and he wanted more! He wanted something more challenging than that so that's why he was here waiting.
Ichiro actually came an hour early before Jay did to actually give him time to prepare and show the higher ranked shinobi that he was a studious ninja...or just some over energetic kid who seeked knowledge because that's what he was. Ichiro wore some shorts and sandals along with his headband tied tightly around his head and he had the sleeves to his shirt rolled up as he couldn't find a tank top before he left. The only other thing different about him when he last met his sensei was his hair. Last time his hair was longer and completely covered have his face and of course it was blonde. Now it was red and shorter than before and even spiked out everywhere as it blew in the wind. Ichiro also took time to have a quick target practice session as he waited setting up cups, bottles, and pretty much anything else he could get his hands on.
Ichiro made sure not to accidentally over power any of his hand cannons so he couldn't just take out everything a mile in front of him because that will be horrible. He was burning up and pouring sweat! Every step he took and every little movement he made caused his sweat to just fall off of him…...yet he wasn't even tired? That was a thing about suna shinobi, they train in intense heat without a single care in the world making them a bit better than those who have normal cool weather rather than blazing heat.Nevertheless Ichiro was just gaining this form of resistance much like the rest of his village.
Anyway that is what he was doing as he waited for his sensei to appear, just….shooting stuff….thangs.

When the Jounin arrived in training fields, there was one thing he noticed immediately. The young ninja he was supposed to be training was definitely there, except he looked a bit different. Instead of long blonde hair the boy sported short red hair that was spiked up in places. The boy was, uh, shooting laser like things at bottles and other objects that were set up when Jay arrived. This kid was certainly unique. Walking over to the redhead, Jay would speak up when he was just closer than 2 meters. "Hey chef kid! When did you learn to shoot laser beams like that?" he would ask Ichiro. After hearing the boy's response he would speak again. "So are you ready to learn a new lightning jutsu? This one is an A rank technique that requires a lot of skill and concentration to master."

Ichiro had stopped shooting lasers from his arm cannons as soon as Jay appeared. Upon hearing his voice and his question, the teen turned to face him and shrugged as the skin which was now returning to its normal from being grey. “Hey Jay! Uh I'm not sure...around the same time I was able to fly?” He answered still a bit confused about it himself.
Ichiro's interest was now fully onto Jay as he mentioned an A rank jutsu. Those are high in skill and will definitely be useful. “A rank?! Which one is it?” Ichiro still had poor knowledge of most of the Lightning element despite wanting to learn so he wwasn't familiar with any unlike he was with earth jutsu. The teen wondered if it was cool and how devastating it could be against someone either way he was going to learn this. Now he was pump amd ready to learn!

The Genin simply said he learned to shoot lasers around the same time he had learned to fly. This kid could fly? What the hell. Anyway Jay just shrugged that off for now and continued to talk about teaching Ichiro a new jutsu. When the boy heard it was an A rank lightning jutsu he seemed to get excited all over again and immediately asked what the jutsu was. The Jounin was glad to see his student so eager to learn and train. "It's called Chidori. This technique channels lightning chakra in the palm of your hand, turning your hand into a deadly weapon. Watch." After that brief explanation, Jay would perform three hand seals. Ox-Rabbit-Monkey. Then his right hand would become engulfed in lighting chakra that produced a loud chirping sound reminiscent of birds. The Jounin then used the Chidori to break a nearby boulder. When he was finished, he turned back to speak to the chef kid. "It takes a lot of concentration and skill in chakra manipulation. This technique requires three hand seals. Ox, Rabbit, Monkey. Why don't you go ahead and start by trying to gather lightning nature chakra into your dominant hand."

”Chidori?!....uh is it bad if I never heard of it?” You may think he would be joking but he actually wasn't. His knowledge was very limited on any jutsu outside of the earth element so this would be the first time he ever heard of Chidori. Chi nodded as he listened to Jay’s...or I mean Pup-Pup’s explanation and then looked at his own palm. Ichiro knew just from this explanation that this was going to take some time to train and getting used to. If he just had to focus on gathering lightning chakra this could have been slightly easy but it really wouldn't be. He had to make sure he gathered the right amount and to make sure he was able to perform it. If not he would just have to train harder and build up his chakra to perform it.
Either way the redhead wasn't going to let this opportunity go to waste so he watched his sensei with greedy eyes, taking in all the actions he saw, the hand seals and exact positioning and movement. Then it came to life in all it's glorious beauty. If he could have taken a picture of the first time he saw this performed he would and he did; mentally anyway. If he was a dog, his ears would do the alert twitchy thing when he heard the noise the jutsu made. It was loud, like literally one thousand chirping birds loud. Well good to know this is probably not good for stealthy kills since it would definitely alert everyone, and when I mean everyone, I mean EVERYONE! So yeah no stealth stuff while using the jutsu.
“Ox, Rabbit, Monkey. Okay I got that and yeah just concentration on gathering chakra into my hand?” Ichiro needed to get the feel of it before actually performing the jutsu, This concentration chakra into his hand would be easier if he could measure the volts of lightning to an exact number. He raised his right hand in front of him as he concentrated, focusing all his chakra into a single area. Ichiro figured this was going to be one of those close range jutsus after watching Jay completely own a boulder with Chidori. “Eh so does this mean I have to actually get close to a person and hit them with this? Also is this really just it like….if Someone was to be in water and I just hit the water with Chidori would that electrocute them?” Yes of course he had questions, he usually does. Thinking back for a second to their spar from early, Chi face had a very noticeable frown on it. “Wait, that time during our spar….what did you hit me with?!” Oi he just had to know.
Anyway back to the more physical part of this training. His hand gave off a bit of a crackle and lightning as he continued focusing the lightning nature of his chakra into his hand and it was obviously working. The chakra he gathered just kept coming and coming. Now he was sure he was done with that part and was ready to try his first attempt at using it but before he had to continue he wanted to make sure this wasn't all of Jay’s instructions. “What's next?”

The boy was certainly full of questions. They were good questions to ask though. "Yes this is a close ranged jutsu. There are other ways of using this jutsu once you've learned the basics of it. One of these adaptations is what I used on you during our spar. That particular jutsu is called chidori current and is a lot harder to learn." With those questions answered it looked like Cho was ready to continue. "Alright. Now that you've begun gathering the lightning nature cakes in your hand, I want you to try to manifest it surrounding your hand. When done correctly, it will give your hand blade like cutting and piercing capabilities as well as make a unique chirping sound. Go ahead and begin." The Jounin thought about something for a second and then reached behind him and released a ninja to from one of the scrolls he carried with him and tossed I to the boy. "Oh and here's a gift for you. I'm sure it will come in handy later on."

This was fun. Ichiro smiled at Jaytori as actually having someone to teach him things was great. He couldn't really turn to his parents for this nor could he ever imagine being able to train with this imaginary perfect Sensei full of all knowledge Chi wanted to know. Actually he liked training with Jay, this man was his role model. Forget the Kazekage and everyone else Jaytori was the coolest of them all. The guy took his time with Ichiro and all his questions he had about the jutsu and tried his best to explaining it to Ichiro.
The boy wouldn't have even got this far if it wasn't for Jaytori. When they first met he was some Genin fresh out the academy who was all cocky. Then he sparred against Jaytori to prove he was good. That spar opened his eyes.
Ichiro lost. There was no way he could have won at his skill level. Heck the skills he had at the time wasn't even good. He thought knowing some B-rank jutsu like Shadow Clone meant something. He thought his Clan’s KKG made him special...better than the others but in the reality. It didn't mean jack shit. All the things he had thought about himself was shattered in a instant when he lost his first spar ever. That woke him up. Ichiro since that day on trained like hell.
His training montage was fun he learned new things, met new people and all the good stuff. In truth he probably would have never made it this far if it wasn't for Jay kicking his butt. All the training he did up to this point was all because he wanted to best Jaytori...a rematch...anything he just wanted to be like him? Let's not get lost in thought Ichiro needed to focus on the task at hand.
The boy raised his hand and examined it. He took in all the knowledge he could from Jaytori. “Close range eh?” Stabbing close range lightning jutsu like Hell Stab? Easy. He can do that. He truly just had to manifest the lightning around his hand in the purest form as possible. Once he did that, he could go stab and pierce things all cool like with the electricity. A smirked appeared on his face at the thought. Ichiro moved his hand a bit lower and away from his face as he had to focus on that chakra build up of lightning. Doing that near your face is seriously a bad idea guys, never charge deadly lightning things in front of your face at home.
The fact that this jutsu was able to have different variations was great. He could potentially use chidori around his body and go rekt some fools?! He needed that. Not like he could learn it anyway but the idea of that sounded cool to him. Way cool. He then assumed there was more than just close range stabing and coating oneself with a current of lightning. Ichiro wasn't going to ask Jaytori what else Chidori could do as he wanted to find out himself. He did assume he can charge up a blade with chidori cause uh why the hell not?! Chidori on a sword sounds dope.
Since this post was on the subject of swords. What do you know...a sword! That's right a sword poofed out of some ninja scroll Jaytori had and he gave it to Ichiro. If this guy wasn't the best sensei already...he WAS NOW. Ichiro eyes widen a bit as he held the sword in his hands examining it fully. He actually wanted a sword as his tanto wasn't really cutting it. Ichiro hands carefully drew the blade from out it's sheathed and examined it more. He did a couple of swings and slashes as the blade felt right for him. As easy to use. Plus it's a ninjato so coool.
Back to Chidori training. Lightning, crackling, zapping, electrifying, and deadly. Super deadly. Yeah lightning is no joke guys especially when you get stabbed through the chest with it. That is painful yo. Not speaking from experience or anything. Ichiro kept his palm aimed towards the ground as he focused chakra into it. Lightning chakra. All that crazy builty up energy in his palm will now take form in lightning. He could feel and see it begin to spark and crackle with life. The lightning roamed his hand before just dying off. HE DIDN'T GIVE UP.
This time more power, more lightning, more chakra! Lightning coated his hand as all the cool effects took place again. Ichiro kept focusin and stuff adding more power and stuff and more lightning appeared. It really did sound like a thousand birds to him. That's how it got the name he assumed. This was a loud jutsu and literally hard to control. So easy kills won't be as easy as he thought. Lightning stabs.
Okay Ichiro was able to do this. It took a bit of time but he was actually able to perform the jutsu. Fun. Great. Now he just needed to try and hit something with it. Jaytori didn't really give him anymore instructions after that nor a target so he had to wing it and hit this large boulder not far from his position. So as Ichiro decided to run towards thr boulder dragging that chidori with him...he realized how hard it was going to be to move around with said jutsu. Like it was seriously going to be a bitch trying to change course now. Anyway he hit the boulder it got rekt.
Celebration with Jay and gave him thanks and Ichiro was off. Is this really a goodbye? Maybe. It has been fun rping with Jaytori though.
