Into the Wilds [Travel]

Kiru had a last look around town, the people within had all but retired to their homes this late in the evening and Kiru’s path seemed empty. There wasn’t any particular reason to stay in this village with Kira gone. The amount of missing ninja had drastically decreased, and the village itself seemed much more formidable than it had when he had arrived their. For now...he had to find a way to get stronger, but not by any means necessary. The path Kira took, it wasn’t his path. He had always wanted to help people, and to save lives. Killing good people to supposedly save even more good people...that just made him worse than those he fought against. Kira had never really agreed with these words before, and he doubted she would now. But he wasn’t the Demon of Chance. Right at this moment, he was a traveler without a home. A blade the innocent could use to protect themselves. Until he could find his place in this world, he would simply explore it. He had heard some odd rumours coming from the country borders, and figured that was an excellent place to start his career as a hopeless wanderer.
Lost in thought, he didn’t realize he had made it to the edge of the village. He was quick, it wouldn’t take him long to traverse the country. He took one last look at the Village Hidden in the Leaves. It was a village where legends were born, where heroes took their first steps. It was not his home, however. He wasn’t going to be some hero proclaiming the name of his village as he strode into battle. He didn’t even know if he would find any battles beyond these walls. Perhaps he would find a reason to settle down and stop his pursuits? It probably wouldn’t happen, not to this particular ninja. With that thought he strode on through the woods. His coat that used to portray the symbol of his and Kira’s partnership now only contained the symbol of the Uzumaki clan, though colored blue for Kiru’s personal tastes. He carried no weapons or armor that could be seen, though that meant nothing against a Fuinjutsu user like him. His footsteps made no sound, and his shadow quickly faded from view of the village, as he wandered on to new and different things.
