2 Slow 2 Cocky

The goal of today was to master the art of Rollerblades. These were materials seen as just toys, but he saw more use in them. Buying one took a heavy chunk of his Ryo away, but he eventually got it, and now he was able to modify them. What did he want them for specifically? Well, when one uses a pair of them, they make the user travel extremely fast. And to fast give him a much higher advantage over the enemy. Now, while he will not gain an insane amount of speed over an opponent, any amount that will increase his own will help him. So that was what he liked to think when he made the purchase. Now, he needed to give them a bit of a boost. With this boost, he would allow them to take some damage without breaking. It would depend on the amount of Chakra that he placed into them. All right, place a bit of Chakra here... One the four wheels... The sides... And the strap.s He would think, placing his palm over it as blue light would emit. This was a hit or miss situation, where he could either really enhance the blades, or completely screw them over and never hope to see them again, in which he will have to take another chunk out of his Ryo. At this point, he would not like that. All right, once he had that taken care of, he would then look over towards the ground below. It turns out, he was able to cover a lot of practice if he did it now. The more people, the more obstacles he had to avoid. Now with his amplified rollerblades, he would be able to cut through traffic with ease. All right, ready! Haruki would exclaim before placing on the blades. They worked like regular ones. However, he lost a sense of balance since he was so used to walking. Oh shoot! The Akari would exclaim, falling onto the ground to the side... Ouch. On the plus side, it was not concrete, so things could have been worse. So he would get back up, flail his arms so that he can obtain a good grip onto the surface that he was standing on, and then slowly push himself forwards. Patience, it was a trait that many tried to teach him.

All right, bring it on! The boy would push forward slowly, the speed of the Chakra allowing him to move on the ground easily. The friction was minimal due to the wheels that are rolling, but the weight allowed him to stick to the ground. He'd push his left leg backwards, his right leg, slowly... Calmly... Taking gentle steps so that he would not fail his mission. Soon, he would be going at a moderate pace. I am beginning to get the hang of this. The boy would tell himself as he made a gentle turn towards the right, making a U-turn in the progress. Perfect. Once that happened, he would place his body to the side a little more, trying to ignore balance so that he could make even sharper turns. His palm would press against the ground he got closer to, pushing a little in case he would go too far. But eventually, he would make the sharp turns, and a successful switch had been made. Finally, he would accelerate at a decent speed, the rollerblades no longer having a problem with him once he learned how to balance. The Chakra would allow him to go on any terrain, whether they be rough or flat. Haruki would then make a sudden stop to prevent himself from going too fast. He knew that he had control over the skates, so there was nothing left for him to do with them. Actually, there was one thing that he might be able to use it for. There was a whole set of meadows and deserts for him to look through, if he were to try the skates over there, he would have a better time with that rather than just on the flat lands, so he could get used to it. The result would be a lot bumpier if he had to guess, but the blades were able to help him get through the town. It took a lot of time to get through the village without bumping into anyone, so he was taking minutes to get through them all. Yeah, he had yet to master the blades, but they were here to stay. It was much faster than the running that he would do previously. Screw walking, he would love to just use his rollerblades to get him around anywhere. And so that was when he decided to just use them whenever he was in travel. Fighting, however, was going to be a different subject, as it would require him to focus on not just balance and speed, it would make him adjust his fighting style, and not to mention those moments when he had to stay still, hard to do while he was on wheels... WHEELS. Oh well, it did not matter, it was something that he found to be a treasure, a set of Chakra Blades. That was the only name that he could give them since he was not the most creative with them. Oh well, they were his now, and who cared about what others thought about it anyways?

Time to bail towards the desert. The sand was kind of hard, but the Chakra would keep him above the sand, preventing him from sinking into it. With that, he knew that he had good control over the blades when he was not falling, and since this was a bumpy area that one had to consider, it was comforting for him to have found his style of fighting. And then the many things that he could do with this. For example, when he uses Chidori, he has to travel in a straight line, and in doing so, he might miss his target. But if that said target did not have enough speed to dodge him, then they were going to have to take the hit. Even with maxed out speed for Haruki, it was not enough to compete with the current world of ninja today. Part of it might be his age, but he hated being spat for that. He wanted to be treated like any other ninja, and him improving in combat will allow for his wish to come true. So that was how things are at the current point in time. He was prepared to take the risk of losing balance so that he could gain speed. Was it worth it? To him, it was worth a lot more, but this was the best that he could get out of it.

The terrain was still a ittle bit rough on him. Sure, he was able to travel on it, but he still needed two things. Perfect balance, obviously. And while he thought he had that, he should probably try to perfect it. And then there was speed. Speed in the desert was very lacking, in a real fight, he would have been beaten in a race by any child in the Academy with his speed. It was supposed to make him faster, yet he was going slower. That was going to change however, since he planned to put the Skates back out into the desert. So he would skate normally through the village, narrowly cutting through the traffic while barely hitting anyone, and no major incidents resulted in the end of it. Seems like he was getting better, soon he will not have to pay for any of the things that he damaged. At least he had that much Ryo though, to spend some so freely. As he would skate out of the village, he would feel a warm, thick air around him. Yup, that was the desert that he knew of. The Chakra on the skates would emit a blue light, showing that it had to use Chakra in order to even travel on the current terrain that he was on. It was going to be a bumpy ride. Once the rollerblades had been placed onto the sand, he would then feel a sudden loss of balance for trying to start out fast. Damn it… Oh well. He would flail his arms to the side to manage his balance, which somehow did work actually before he came to a sudden halt, standing on we wheels in the desert. All right, he needed to take it slow… Slow… With this thought in mind, the strokes he would give would push him forward gently, making sure that he did not throw himself into the hot sand. The sun was beating downwards onto him rather hard, but he knew that if he reduced his focus to that, that he would end up falling again. Besides, the skates were fine under any condition. At least, that was what his local store manager told him, and he was not even a ninja. Eh, if he said it, that was good enough for the child to take his chances with. And so the skates would gently roll on the desert. Every time they hit a downward slope, he would increase his speed and lose a bit of balance, but he did his best to keep his leg strength high, and so he would prevent himself from falling to either side. Letting out a gentle sigh of relief as he survived the first few bumps, the Akari would dare himself to go a little bit faster, because screw safety and everything it represented, like living for example. Both legs would swing back even harder than before, causing him to thrust faster. Body crouched low so the air resistance was not so huge, and he would finally make it to the middle of the desert after a bit, his balance now a lot more decent and his speed growing considerably larger as time went by. It was half of an hour, and he was already making some decent progress. He knew that this was not the results he wanted though. He was going to have to go all in if he wanted the best of results.

Seeing as he had to get home soon, he would look back towards the area where the village was. Aunt Nea was going to return home soon… It was only going to be in a matter of seconds according to the sun clock. He wanted to be there when she arrived, rather than leave her alone for no one to say hi to, especially when she had a child who wanted to put her as a priority. Leaving any thoughts of safety behind, he would push himself to get to her. The terrains were bumpy, the Chakra being emitted from the footware was insane, but he was not losing balance. All because he was not giving it a thought. While it did help him a bit to think about it, avoiding the subject altogether was able to give him a decent amount of it all while going at his fastest speed. The world seemed to blur even more than it did while he was sprinting. Legs feels a devastating amount of heat due to all of the pressure placed on them, he’ll probably feel sore the very next morning. The adrenaline running through his body and the blood running through his veins would inspire him to continue, all of the pain being numbed and the fear being drained away. The childs eyes were locked onto the village tha was miles away, a Golden shade wrapping over them as he was magnifying them to see the village. It was almost time to get back home. Many people seemed to be at the gate by this time… He can’t afford to stop for them either. So of course the Akari would make the rational choice of jumping up onto the wall of the village, pressing all of his aching leg strength onto the village, and then being to charge up and forward. The struggle to get to the top was real, as both gravity and the wheels were trying to bring him downwards. But his leg strength and his determination were both encouraging him to go up. He was literally in place as he tried to skate upwards, it was sort of like moonwalking. But eventually, the challenge would be taken down as he was slowly inching his way up. Many beads of sweat were on his forehead, a few that were dropping down towards the ground. The villagers through the gate were still going, some witnessing what he was doing and playing it off like it was normal. Yes, Haruki has done some worse things other than that. And so finally, he would make it to the top, his body flipping over the wall and landing onto one of the buildings. More rough terrain, like tiles for example. He was pressing forward, leaping through the buildings, though he did almost slip up and fill into an alleyway. In the end however, he pulled himself back up onto his feet and made it to the end of the road, where his house was located. Unfortunately, it seems like he was just a little bit too late, as she was right at the door, just about to enter the house. And the dynamic entrance was him falling off of the roof, onto the side, and eventually, landing on the ground with fatigue.

I'm kind of confused now. When I read the Armor Cration Rules, this was given to me as an example. "(i.e. a mail costing 6,000 ryo normally could cost 3,000 ryo and 1,500 words to acquire.)".

With this in mind, the 4,500 Ryo is the base cost, reduced by 50% for the price,  2250 Ryo. And then I had to make a thread of 1125 WC x3 Am I wrong?

Because the Word Count for the example is half of the reduced price x3 See, this is the formula I went by.

Original Price / 50% = Reduced Price

Reduced Price / 50% = Word Count.

I figured that the Word Count for the price reduction is half of the reduced price, if the example provided above was read correctly x3

It probably does make sense lD I'm not quite getting it though. Eh, I'll just try to get the other 1.125k words up x3 It's not that big a deal. I'll bump the thread once that is done. Thanks! ^.^
