Teaching a Spark to Ignite [Julienne]
Thu Sep 01, 2016 2:13 pm
The start of this story would have the Akari skating in the middle of the arena with no real reason other than him trying to gain a bit more speed. While his efforts were in vain, it was really just him trying to doing nothing but skate, which was weird since he was a child and could skate for as long as he felt. Not like anyone would judge him for it. So as he would go in loops, he would notice that not too many people were there, and it was not too odd either. Recently, Suna had been getting an incline of Genin, so at least that was a thing. Why they were not training here was something he had yet to understand. Oh well, though, it was not any of his business anyway, and if they wanted to be elsewhere rather than train, then that was on them. As for Haruki, he wanted to be the best him that he could be, so when the Chuunin exams come up, he would be ready to take them on. If he were to have the unfortunate result of failing, then how many others would be able to pass? It took skill, surely, but skill was nothing without hard work, and Haruki was an active believer of such a thing. So he would continue to aimlessly spin his wheels around the edges of the training ground.

Cold water touched hot skin and went up in fumes. The sound of water tapping across a stone floor echoed around Rae's small apartment as she took a nice shower. As the sound stopped after a couple of minutes a pale hand reached out of the shower curtain and grabbed the white towel, quickly wrapping it around a gorgeously toned female body. Water dripped down from the long red locks of the silhouette down onto the beige carpet as it moved into the living room. The girl proceeded to put on a bra and underwear before picking up the towel and rubbing it into her wet scalp until her mane assumed the dry volume that it usually had. Her long legs were afterwards quickly adorned by a pair of black shorts and long black leather boots. With a zip, her black top had also been slipped on. All that remained of the beauty's attire was her long white coat, which she quickly put on, tying her black Suna headband around her right arm before she exited the building.
Rae needed to train more. If she was going to call herself the Queen of Fire she needed to know more fire-style Jutsus. The amount that she knew was simply not satisfying enough. It would definitely not allow her to pass the chunin exams which were, as she had heard mentioned around, coming up sometime in the near future. The fiery kunoichi was greeted by several people on her way to the training field, a usual everyday occurrence. She, in return, smiled back at all of the people and waved at them. As the kunoichi reached the training field however she felt her eyes widen slightly at who she found here. "Haruki?"

As he would pass a few people, one, in particular, seemed to have talked to him. And the wind blurred out the simple word that she had said, but it was enough nose for his attention to be obtained. So he would stop himself for the moment, a little bit dizzy after all of the loops before he would activate his eyes to stop all of the images from causing his eyes to see many blurs. In doing so, he would see one familiar figure, why the redheaded beauty herself! The Akari would pace towards her with his hands in his pockets before then speaking to her, not acknowledging what she had said since it was so brief anyway. Hi Rae! What's up? What are you doing here? Was it not obvious? She was here to train for something, and the question more likely was if he could help her, but it was kind of random to start with such a phrase, so he'll just play it off and hold it until later. For now, he would just flash his genuinely happy smile to her. The last event he had with her was when she gave him a small kiss on the cheek, and it was something he overlooked since it was just for that moment.

Rae let out a small chuckle at the male's sudden stop of movement. He seemed to be trying to focus his vision. He greeted her and asked her what she was doing here, causing her to raise an amused red eyebrow at him. While the answer to that question was indeed obvious her wicked mind had already come up with another one. A foxy smirk replaced her current smile as she sped towards Haruki and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Why I came to see you of course, silly." The girl said with a small girly giggle. As she pulled away from the hug she gave him a small wink before ruffling his hair. She did it in order to see his always-amusing reactions to her. Afterwards she proceeded to take her Fire Technique textbook out and show it to him. "That, and I wanted to train. The Chunin exams, from what I've heard, are approaching and I can't afford to waste any time." She explained blankly as she started flipping through the pages, deciding on which Jutsu to learn this time. Rae wanted to try for something harder this time, something like...her crimson hues landed on a page. The Fire Style: Flame Whirlwind technique.

She would wrap her arms around him before pulling in him for a hug. While he was not used to kisses since he only ever received one, he knew what it was like to hug someone. The was Haruki saw it, it was to show comfort and tell someone that they care. While she did not have to hug him, she did show how she cared and came to see him, so he would just return the small hug for the moment with a casual smile before letting go. After that, she would then list the second reason why she was here, to learn of the Whirlwind. Oh my, that's a fun one! With it, you can send many people running with it! Good choice for the Chuunin Exams. Haruki would tell her. He was glad that she was working hard for the exams, there was at least a little bit of hope for Suna, and with her ambition, it would probably not take too long at all. He would step back a little bit before he would then point to her with his right finger. I know how to do it! Maybe you can show me what you have so far, and I can try to fix it! Only with your permission of course.

Rae gave Haruki a small smile as she read through the details of the jutsu. It consisted of four handsigns- The Monkey, the Bird, the Dog and the Ram. The chakra that was needed for it was, surprise surprise, the fire style. She would have to have the flame energy erupt from around her body, moving in a spiraling matter at around 30 speed max. The technique seemed to be launched using had gestures, which thank the gods was easy. If the technique were to hit it's target it would send it spinning while having it burn as well. Rae closed the book and left it on the ground next to her before she jumped back a couple of meters and practiced the hand-signs a couple of times. When she felt more comfortable with them she took in a deep breath and let the chakra flow through her body spin. This jutsu, unlike all of the other ones that she knew, was not expel-able through the lips. She needed to manage to make the air around her move and infuse it with her fire nature chakra. That already seemed difficult. Closing her eyes, the girl did the hand signs and remained still for a moment before a small flame appeared in front of her chest, that flame than started moving in a rather slow circular motion but expanded as it did so. When it had finally engulfed her entire body she used her hands to send it towards a random pile of rocks that was lying around. As it hit it however while the target did burn a little bit, it had barely spun. "The speed is definitely a huge issue. If I get at least that fixed than maybe I can focus on the potency of the beginning flame."

She would start off okay without any of his tips, and while it could have been better, how was it going to catch anyone? Fortunately, he full well knew how to handle the situation. The Akari would nod his head and place his hands on his hips, but still, smile towards her as he would then acknowledge her comment. Well, if she wanted to work on speed, she was going to have to work on putting Chakra into something. It travelled slowly probably due to a lack of Chakra being focused. All right, we're are going to focus on one stream of fire first, so that all of your Chakra can focus on that first! It should increase the speed. Once you do that, we will move onto two streams, which no doubt will be weaker, but you will keep practicing the Chakra control until it perfect, all right? He would explain before placing his hands back up to the back of his head, relaxed as he would then remember to turn his eyes back to light brown like they were supposed to be. Do you need me to show you what I mean? Or do you have it? Alternatively, you could try to skip is and see what the whole thing looks like before trying it, but it will take a lot more time. Your choice of course.

Rae's eyes widened as she listened to Haruki's instructions. The jutsu had suddenly seemed a lot easier. A stream huh? She definitely knew how to do that. It was the first fire-style technique that she learned, but would she be capable of creating one without using her lips. It was worth a try. The red-headed kunoichi resumed her previous stance and this time while closing eyes focused her chakra to be more flowing and straightforward. After doing so she spun the flame style chakra without opening her lips to do so. To her surprise as she opened her eyes she was indeed engulfed in a decently large spinning disc of fire. While the maximum diameter of it was 5, she had probably made hers about 2,5. It wasn't bad for a beginner but she wasn't satisfied. Thankfully the jutsu had indeed increased its speed as when she threw it this time, the infamous Suna ninja managed to move the rocks in a circular motion. It wasn't a strong a rotation as she would've wanted but it was alright. The red-head then tried the jutsu a couple of more times. Practice did make perfect. She was going to try the double streams after a few attempts.

Haruki would be watching her style go down, placing his hands in his pockets as he watched the scene in front of him. Rae seemed to be doing pretty well, her power seemed to be increasing so far! As she would begin to increase, she seemed to try two, only for him to place his palm outstretched towards her. Now you need to learn how to control your Chakra evenly! What I suggest you do it gather a bunch of Chakra, then split it in half as you fire the first stream, then use the second one. It seemed a bit confusing of an explanation, but Haruki was more than willing to help her. He would form the four signs in front of him quickly before then creating one spiral of fire before launching it, saving the other half of chakra for the rest. With that, he would then place the second half of the Chakra into the second spiral formed a few seconds later. I saved some Chakra so I can make a second one! That sort of conservation will be able to save you a lot of Chakra, and will often be used in many different techniques. All right, NOW you can try it. And so he would roll out of the way once again, giving her some space to work with.

Rae had yet again listened to the male that was willing to help her. She did understand him as she explained it to her but continued to watch him as he demonstrated and explained his take on the jutsu. It did indeed seem easy with the way Haruki had put it. Her eyes scanned the boy in front of her. Why was it that this immature sweetheart knew more than her? The red-head than noted that he had indeed graduated from the academy before her and was thus much, much more skilled. As she returned her interest back from the boy to the jutsu that she was trying to learn she resumed the handsigns: The Monkey, the Bird, the Dog and the Ram before chanting "Fire Style: Flame Hurricane." She would then follow her friends' example by splitting her chakra in two before attempting to follow through the jutsu. It was an efficient way of not wasting any excess chakra. This time she released the first stream and then quickly followed up on it with the second one. White jutsu was definitely faster, one area at which there was an improvement, but it hadn't grown anywhere near its max radius in size. "How annoying." The girl commented to herself as she attempted it several more times. Rae knew that she was quickly growing tired and using up her chakra reserves, and with this was sure to come one thing: Hunger.
