Heavy Jutsu Training Before the Chuunin Exams Empty Heavy Jutsu Training Before the Chuunin Exams

Tue Oct 04, 2016 1:03 pm
Beafōsu woke up this morning with excitement. He had just met new friends, Kōmori of the Hozuki clan, and Kamina of the Uzumaki clan. Although he didn’t especially like Kōmori due to the first thing that came out of his mouth, an ally was an ally. And with the wide variety that these four showed, they could be a powerful force for Kumogakure. Their powered balanced very well, and with the new academy students, she knew this would become a group of friends that could never be separated. She knew that the Chuunin Exam path was before her, but she wanted to make sure she had some non-taijutsu related techniques, just to make sure she could do something to either make it easier to land his close range punches, or to even hit from afar to widen his variety. He had already picked the jutsu he wanted, and it would be a lot to pack into one day. It was 7 Jutsu; Basic Medical Ninjutsu, Puppet Art: Ventriloquism, Body Flicker, Mist Servant, Shadow Shuriken, Hiding like a Mole, and Earth Release: Flying Thrown Stones. It was a lot, but she knew that she could get it done.

The first thing she wanted to do was just to go to the library to gain more information on each one. Grabbing a notebook from her room and getting a quick cereal bar for the walk, she set out to the Library. Walking down the street she saw the street was quieter than usual, now she had no problem with it, but it just seemed a little off. Normally you would see the ramen bar full of kids and the library full of scholars, but it was just quiet. Getting to the library, she saw the librarian that helped her with the Seven Heaven Breathing Methods and quickly walked over. “Hey! I just wanted to say, thank you for the help a couple days ago! I was able to get the technique down and now I’m learning some more. And I was wondering if you could help me.” Giving the clerk the list of jutsu she wanted to read more on, the clerk quickly walked out of the his desk area, and grabbed a stack a books. Bringing them to the desk, the clerk then explained to her, “Ok, what I have here is six books. We have ‘Basic Medical Techniques’ for the Basic Medical Ninjutsu, ‘Guide to Puppetry’ for that Ventriloquism technique, but once you learn that you really won’t ever need this book again. We have “Basic Ninjutsu for All” for Body Flicker, which if you ask me is a ninja essential, “Basic Genjutsu” for Mist Servant, “Basic Weaponry Manipulation” for Shadow Shuriken, and last but not least, “The Guide to Earth Release” for Hiding like a mole, and Flying Thrown Stones.” Well, this is what you asked for, so I’ll see you later. Beafōsu picked up the books, a little heavier than she expected, and walked off. Again, the town was quiet. But she just kept on walking, Waizu by her side, she was also kind of worried, but she just put it aside. Getting to the training ground, it was time to do some training.

Getting to the grounds, she got right to work. First she wanted to make sure she had an order and organization of what she was learning. The first thing up was just to master the basis of medical ninjutsu. She knew that although menial. It's a necessary technique for the survival and well being of Waizu. Flipping into the book, it states how this basis for all of Medical Jutsu was the technique she was about to learn. It was just a control over one's Chakra really. First putting some minor cuts into her, her fingers and palms illuminated with chakra. Applying her hands to this area, they slowly closed up as she transferred Chakra . But it took a long time. Making more and more small cuts and bruises and healing them, the time and focus required got shorter and shorter until she felt satisfied. One down, six to go till she was ready for the Chuunin exams. She already felt progress in her journey.

Seeing that the jutsu she was going to be learning for her upcoming adventures didn't really have any physical qualities associated with them, so she had to have Waizu doing something. The Medical Jutsu seemed easy, this new one was about the same difficulty, so she knew this one was just as easy. Opening the seemingly short book on Puppetry, it took a lot of time to even found the part she was looking for. It was mainly about how to control and what a puppet can do. It did spark some interest, but she moved on. Finally finding the section, it was described as a technique to make it seem as though your puppet was a human, and to confuse targets. She had a reason for this that was similar. To make it seem as though Waizu was her, to confuse the opponent. Described as another simple chakra control technique, all she had to do was augment the vocal cords with chakra. Doing just that, she tried the technique and it went horrible. She sounded as though she was just speaking regularly, and it was only a few feet in front of her. Man, this technique was harder than she thought. Simple chakra control shower her just how complicated the human body is, especially the vocal area. So many parts and areas to manipulate. She had to try and try again before finally being able to focus more chakra and spread it around, so she tried again. And she was able to make her distinct voice come in the sky. She felt accomplished. After that, she was making voices left and right. Kōmon next to her, Waizu in her ear, and a lot others. It became easy later. She was about 40 percent done, but this was the easy stuff. The next would be a lot harder.

Now it was time to move on to some of the more important techniques. Sure the last two were useful, but they were simple E-Rank, academy level techniques that would be laughable if you had a hard time learning them. Seriously, basic chakra control to your vocal cords, and transferring chakra to a wound? Clone jutsu was harder than that. Opening the book to the correct page, she found it. Shunshin no Jutsu, or the Body Flicker Technique. It was described as a general skill as old as shinobi themselves. This technique applies the user’s chakra to their speed in order to move at high speed, but direct, movements. The actual style that the jutsu shows is different per person. For example, for some ninja it’s a puff of smoke, but what she saw in the spar when Kōmon tried to activate it, is that he was splitting into horizontal fragments and shifting, as if a vibration went through his body. The only problem that she could really see is that unless she was carrying Waizu, this movement was only her, in fact all of these jutsu were only her. If she wanted to do anything for Waizu, it’d have to be either holding her, or just leaving her behind. To be honest, both had their advantages and strategies, so it was for the better. She was fast enough normally, but this boost enables her to have better silent steps, and even be able to get from point A to point B even quicker than before. Also, it was only one seal. HOW EASY! Forming the ram seal she concentrated the chakra to the tenketsu on her feet and ran. She failed…. sure she was quicker. But enough for it to seem as though she was a blur, hell no! Infact, she wasn't even “teleporting” or “flickering” she was just moving. It wasn't enough. She had at first just been concentrating the chakra, but she needed to force it. She never really had done that before, and it kinda scared her. This was her first real ninjutsu after graduating the academy. Calming down from this nervousness, she closed her eyes, and “found” the chakra within her. As if her mind was a bunch of boxes, she reached in, and boom. She exerted the chakra and ran. Well at least, the was the plan. Once she had actually forced the chakra out, something that she was pretty new to, she didn’t know how to react to the sudden feeling. Kind of like when she was learning the Seven Heaven Breathing Method, the intense amount of energy that was being exerted was just too much for her. Looking at Waizu, she was just seeming to do some drills that they’d gone over. Simple stuff really, like jumping from tree to tree, the mobility of being able to attack and retreat, and then the basic jabs, push ups, and such. She realized that she was looking at Waizu for a while once she saw the sky was getting dark. Like, really dark. She knew that once she was able to actually make the Body Flicker Technique useful, she should probably go home. She calmed down once more and blazed it. The technique worked, and she ran. Her very steps caused smoke. She felt so powerful, sure it wasn’t as fast as the Passing Fang, but with her thoughts on expanding on Ninjutsu and Genjutsu in the future, the capabilities of her chakra control would allow this technique to definitely surpass by a LOT more. Once she started running, she just could not stop, the power felt so good, being able to run from space to space, the possibilities were endless. It could be used to catch up to someone, to sneak past something, to even get an advantage on attacks. These thoughts flourished in her mind. She really couldn’t contain it.

In fact, she never could. Back home, well at least back where she was born, she was always talked to about how her mind always wandered. Of course, her mind wandered during those talks so she never really retained the information given to her, but ehh. She still began to gain prominence in the tribe, surpassing her brothers even. When she was on a mission, that's when it happened. A bear normally wouldn't even acknowledge some one of our tribe, but this time, he charged at her. She had no choice. She killed it…. right when this got back to my parents and the tribe head, Beafōsu was immediately forced to pack her stuff and leave. They almost took Waizu from her, but both of them persisted. Losing your Animal bond was like like losing half of your soul. The bonded rituals that happened near the birth of a Chōkyōshi literally bonded the soul of the human and their partner. Once she had escaped. She had never been back, and now there was someone chasing her. This new skill was valuable and made her think of the future. Would she go back to her tribe, would she die trying? Those were thought for a latter day however. Once she broke out of her daze, it was late night and she needed to get back. Grabbing Waizu and heading back home. It was still super quiet. Now she was starting to be worried. The entire day she didn't hear a peep, not from friends, not from strangers, not even from birds. Once she got to her house she found a new clue. A clue to the Hoshi-Missing-Nin that attacked her. On the east wall of her two story house, it was a star and bear under it. The star she recognized from the Hoshi-Missing-Nin’s headband, but the bear! Now she knew that she was specifically getting targeted. Reaching into her bag she grabbed her notebook and drew the picture in it. This was starting to get freaky, but she was tired. Going into the front door, she didn't even eat dinner, she walked up the stairs and fell asleep without even having to try.

Heavy Jutsu Training Before the Chuunin Exams Empty Re: Heavy Jutsu Training Before the Chuunin Exams

Sat Oct 08, 2016 10:35 pm
The morning started a little slow today. It has begun to cool down a lot more now temperature wise, ranging from low 60’s to high 40’s, and this helped so much with her training and thinking as a whole. Back home, Winter’s were definitely the worst part of the year, being all tribal and all. Sure, they used some electronics but never enough to amount to a village like Kumo. Here, the AC blew in the summer and the heat in the winter, the food was much better due to the technology and science implemented into every aspect, from farmer to table. It was nice to know that life for everyone was different, but the better the society, the more chance they had to survive, the better. When she first found found refuge her, when she was 14, everything was so new. The landscape, people, hell even the way people talked was weird to her. It was a rough adjustment, but it was one she would never regret. Sure, the Raikage was a little weird but she never really interacted with him enough to actually find out too much. As a growing shinobi, she knew she would have to eventually. Waking up and making some quick cereal for her and Waizu, she had some thoughts she brought to sleep on her mind and she needed to asses them. Her original list had 7 jutsu on it. Basic Medical Ninjutsu, Puppet Art: Ventriloquism, Body Flicker, Mist Servant, Shadow Shuriken Jutsu, Hiding Like a Mole, and Earth Release: Flying Thrown Stones. She had looked at all of these jutsu before and knew how wonderful they were. But with the Chuunin Exams so close by, she was anxious to go forward. The first thing she didn’t see as necessary was the Hiding Like a Mole technique, a technique that turns the earth you are currently standing on into a quicksand like substance and allows you the ability to “swim” through the earth, It had great offensive capabilities, but was it really the right thing for her? As a chuunin she would learn it, but looking over the challenges that await her in the Chuunin exam. It wasn’t worth it. So check that off. Then, Earth Release: Flying Thrown Stones. She knew it was a highly offensive ninjutsu that could easily provide both harmful and strategic uses, but for the same reason of Hiding Like a Mole, that’s checked off.

Once she had finished her cereal and gotten her gear on, and eventually had to wake up Waizu and have her do the same, Beafōsu set out for the training grounds. What had happened to her yesterday still confused and scared her, so she was extra vigilant. People were actually outside today, so she knew she was going to be just fine. Once she got to the training ground she got right to work. Her thought process this morning had already gotten her mentally prepared for the day, and now it was time to be physically prepared. She started out with her basic regime and sent Waizu off for her individual training. She started with push-ups, then leg lifts, then sit ups and the rest. The basic body maintaining stuff had become a chore for her, but she needed it to get by. The first thing she had to do was learn her very first Genjutsu, the Mist Servant technique. She did not know much about Genjutsu and how to execute it. Looking into the book, it had to do with manipulating the senses and chakra within a person and disturbing it to “gain control” of their senses. In this case, it was sight. Going to the Genjutsu training facility, Chuunin, Jounin, and some non-shinobi volunteers stood in an area. Signing in, she walked over to an empty station and got prepared. The handsigns listed were just a simple Boar to Rat, and she easily was able to perform them. Repeating these motions over and over again, the transition was so smooth, it was as if she had always known them. Hand seals always came easy to her, and the fact that this was just a simple two step seal configuration made it even easier.

Now, she had to find a way to actually manipulate her opponent. Finding a way to manipulate and disturb their chakra flow seemed as though it would be easier for her than most people as she had experience with others chakra and spiritual networks, in reference to the Human Beast Clone technique with Waizu. Staring deep into the person before her, a Chuunin she had learned that his name was Heyotu, she formulated the two hand seals and emitted the chakra into him. When she had cast this Genjutsu, her mind felt as though she was seeing inside of this person before her. His mind, and she assumed everyone's mind, was like a maze. At first, she didn't know what to do, but she easily caught up to speed. The way Genjutsu works is by manipulating the opponent's senses and chakra. She knew she had to achieve the chakra part last, so this was definitely the senses part. This Mist Servant technique relied and preyed about the user’s sight, and so that was what she was “looking” for. Maneuvering through this maze, the mind seemed to be a lot more complex than she had thought. In fact, it had mesmerized her so much that she had run out of time to make the Genjutsu effective, and was essentially forced out of Heyotu’s mind.  Right when she had “left” his mind and reentered the real world, Heyotu offered his criticism. “As a Genjutsu specialist myself, I know what you just experienced, and I’m assuming that this is your first time learning and trying a Genjutsu because what you just did, getting lost in the opponent's mind and not knowing what to do. But don’t worry, it’ll become easier as you go along.” Beafōsu listened closely to these remarks and made both mental and physical notes for the future.

Seeing that Heyotu was standing back into his station, she got ready. Now she knew what to expect and that it was time to actually complete her first ever Genjutsu for the Chuunin Exams. After configuring the two hand seals, Boar then Rat, she activated the Genjutsu Art: Mist Servant Technique! Once again entering Heyotu’s mind, she immediately got to work. Running through this maze, she tried countless different paths. It seemed almost never ending, but she had a feeling she was in the right place. Then, once she found the “placement” of where she was supposed to be, she felt the chakra flow out of her and into the mind, and she transported out and gained the senses of the real world. It had seemed as though no time had passed by as the environment around seemed to pick up where it was before she entered the mind. So she did this all in an instant, interesting. Right when she had come to her senses, Heyotu became vigilant and assumed an attacking stance, Beafōsu’s technique had worked and she could see it too, Mindless sluggish clones of herself trudged towards him and she got her kunai ready. Right when one struck, she launched the kunai. It was a way to make it seem real, however Heyotu already knew about this technique and blocked the Kunai. After he blocked that attack, he did the Genjutsu Release and the illusions dissipated into thin air. Once she had regained her calm, she gathered her things and thanked Heyotu before leaving.

Leaving the Genjutsu Training facility, she walked back to her little area and found Waizu. Seeing as though Waizu was exhausted from her regime, Beafōsu called her over for the lunch she had prepared. It always had the same apple, lemonade, and sandwich. But everyday she tried to switch up the the snack in her bag. Yesterday it was some marshmallows, the day before it was bacon, and today it was chocolate chip cookies. Finding some shade to sit under, she munched into her lunch. Waizu no pō had to be really hungry because she finished her complete lunch before Beafōsu even got to her apple. But once she finished her own lunch, she got right back to training. The next technique she was learning was the Shadow Shuriken Technique. A weaponry based jutsu where you throw two shuriken, one directly in the shadow of the other, and it appears as one, causing the second to appear as a surprise attack for maximum damage. She had not really done much shuriken training since the academy, so she headed out towards the accuracy area.  A bunch of targets lined up a Beafōsu quickly got to work, she had only had 5 Shuriken from her ninja starter bundle, but it was fine. She worked with what she could, and worked with it well. Her first couple of throws were really rough she hit some of the outer circles, but that was the best she could have done. Two of them even went past the target. The Shinobi around her all looked at her and scowled, and Beafōsu felt pretty embarrassed, but that never stopped her. Going forward, she picked up all five shuriken and went back to her station, time to try again. She kept on the regular throwing until she got consistent in at least the middle area, and then went on to the moving targets until she got comfortable enough. Now it was time. Moving back to the still targets, she grabbed two shuriken in one hand. This was going to be very hard in comparison to regular Shuriken throwing, and it was time to attempt.

Throwing the two shuriken, they flung out with power but of course, it didn’t go as planned. The two shurikens both derailed off path and split off of each other early in the throw. Any shinobi, hell even some Kumogakure Academy Students would be able to see that and dodge it. She had to find a way to make it seem as they were one. Grabbing two more Shuriken, she applied some chakra to fingers and onto the shuriken and threw them again. Another fail however, these two splitted much later into the throw. She then did multiple attempts, slowly gaining the knowledge and technique down. One time however, on her 17th or 18th try, she could not remember which, it started and did not separate at all, however, without her even seeing anything happen the Shuriken hit nearly identical to each other, but not to the target. A non-humanoid figure jumped in front of the target and got shredded by these Shuriken. It was the shape of a bear and Beafōsu went into a frenzy, quickly running up to the board, she examined the figure. It was Waizu no pō. Beafōsu screamed and cried in an instant, but right when she hear a shuriken nearing towards what appeared to be Waizu, she immediately pushed her aside and took the Shuriken to the leg. But of course it had to be the Shadow Shuriken Technique being used on her and she got hit with yet another shuriken to her other leg. She fell to the ground, screaming with tears running down her face. But everyone around just looked at her confused. Finally, someone ran up and shook her. Right when this random Genin shook her, the world around her changed. Looking down, nothing was in her hands, and there was no pain in her legs at all. She was placed under  a Genjutsu and she fell for it. Quickly running to get her stuff and bolting to Waizu, she saw that she was OK and was able to calm down. Walking over to her and saying it was time to go, they went off. Once she got home, she immediately wrote the Genjutsu encounter down. It was time for the Chuunin Exams, but after, she HAS to investigate this.
