Kaane had somewhat expected the answer he received, being in Kiri rather than somewhere like Hoshi or Konoha, but it was a welcome outcome nonetheless. Though the fact he even responded at all was somewhat surprising to him. Perhaps this ninja was a bit...odd at his core too, like Kaane was.
"How are you is just boring is all. Beats around the bush a bit too much, dontcha think?" he responded, with a genuine, well-meaning smile on his face. "You always get to know someone better when death is part of the equation. But...whatever, was just curious I guess. You seem cool is all."
He would then turn, dismayed to see the fight had already ended, hearing the other guy who interfered start complaining about something or other. It somewhat mystified him, how someone could join and win fight one minute and start crying the next. He let out an audible "huh" before noticing the authority figure in the area go and give him a stern talking-to.
He could make out that he wanted the two to fight...now this was something, surely it would end interestingly. Kaane wanted the student to win and prove himself more than anything else, and now that it was a one on one brawl with no jutsu allowed, he actually might.
It made him excited more than he'd been this entire week. Taking a step forward, he cupped his hands next to his mouth and called out to Alex. "I believe in you dude!" he yelled, his smile brimming with vicarious confidence as he pantomimed a punch or two. "Show this joker what for!"
However, he was sure to reel it in as he saw the older ninja walking back towards him. Though he didn't mind mixing it up himself, he didn't want to get himself punished or anything. He had no idea if they kept punishments on a record and held it against you later or something...but he sure as hell wasn't going to be kept from being a Chuunin by something as dumb as insubordination over a schoolyard melee.
He would nod and quietly respond with a firm "yes sir" to his orders, watching the ensuing fray carefully. He was almost sad he didn't have some chips or popcorn to munch on. 'Cause this was gonna be good.

Altar was happy with himself, the smirk once again returning to his face as he watched the two younglings about to spar. However, it seemed once chickened out at the last second and ran away from the opportunity to improve himself. What a shame, truly. Rather than chase after an unwilling student, a lost cause if you would, Altar decided to simply sigh and shake his head, looking to the boy next to him and motioning for HIM to be Alex's opponent instead.
"There WILL be a spar, i'll see to that. If one of you is going to run from this new match as the last one did, do it now." the boy would say, waiting for either to run.
Assuming neither of them did, the boy would nod. "Good. Now, i'll be watching closely. After a winner is decided, there'll be a pop quiz on what went right and what went wrong. So, show me what you can do." Altar would say, motioning for the two to fight.
(OOC: Skipping Azure cause i'm p.sure he's not coming back to the topic cause he'sa total wuss not looking for multi-person training right now. So instead, Rayne and Kaane will now be sparring, and Altar will be inspecting. The new post order is as folows: Rayne, Kaane, me. Have fun and kick ass.)

(OOC: Alex asked me to post first, so post first I shall)
Oh snap. It seemed as though the mysterious, dangerous-looking stranger wanted Kaane to spar in place of the coward who'd run from the fight. He would make a sudden motion as if he was about to bolt when called, but the smile that followed revealed he was merely faking them both out before walking towards Alex.
He would slip out of his trench coat, letting it drop to the floor as his long-sleeved, equally pitch black shirt was revealed underneath. He then removed his scarf and the Kiri head-band that was attached to it via a sewn-in zipper, tying it around his arm instead.
"Before we spar, you need to know exactly three things. One, I am Kaane, son of Nakano Tsuruya, and proud Genin of the Hidden Mist. Two, I believe in your abilities. Three, because I believe in your abilities..." his smile would then take a slight hint of devilishness. "I won't go easy on you."
At Altar's signal, he would form the Seal of Conflict with his hands, a signal akin to the ram handseal that he had learned from his father had always been a sign of mutual respect before a spar.
And then he would waste no more time with pleasantries.
Taking into account the boy's Muay Thai, top-heavy stance, Kaane would rush at him, closing the small distance between him. As soon as he reached within kicking range, just outside of his capability to punch, he would perform a low, sweeping kick, meant to take him off balance if it connected. Should it be successful, he would follow up by regaining his own stance and attempting to stomp hard on his downed foe's abdomen or back, depending on how he landed, a strike that might cause some legitimate damage if left unblocked or undodged.
When he said he wasn't going to go easy on Alex, he meant it. Even if he was weak in taijutsu, this would only serve to make him, and by consequence, the village stronger. And judging by his fighting spirit, it was something he fully deserved.

Azure, the Genin who tried "Saving" Alex. As if he needed to be save. Alex shook his head maintaining his powerful stance. Bouncing gently on his back foot he was ready for almost anything coming from his direct front. The wind picked up slightly and he took into account the shaking of the leafs on the trees as he waited for what seemed like ages for his opponent to do something. The second Azure moved Alex tensed up in preparation for some sort of attack, but that isn't at all what happened. Even with all of Alex's insults and degrading the boy still walked away. What a fucking pussy, how the hell is he even a genin? Whatever, I can finally get the fuck away from that ginormous asshole that kicked me in the chest today.. Alex thought to himself as he glared and eyed the man who had almost caved his chest in at the academy that morning.
Alex found it hilarious that the Man had threatened his life and wouldn't act on his decision. If it was anyone else in the village they would have made an attempt to murder him by now. As a matter of fact, the only reason Alex was still playing along was because he wanted to see exactly how far he could push this man. He listened to the man carefully as he spoke on fighting the other boy Alex had barely notice show up. He had a headband on and stood with a very proud air about himself. Alex wasn't sure of his first impression of this kid but maybe if he beat the shit out of this boy he would get out of any other bullshit the strange man was going to make him do that day.
Standing back into his Muay Thai stance he eyed the young man as he made his way to face Alex. So his name was Kaane? Even weirder was the fact that he was the son of reknowned village Mortician Nakano Tsuruya. No wonder the boy confused Alex so, the boys aura screamed freak.
Alex watched as the young man took his time readying himself for the fight that was about to ensue, Alex could have made a move and smoked him at anytime but he was being watched. He had to keep his hands slightly clean throughout this or he would no doubt find himself in trouble. The problem was he could not stop thinking about the stupid bitch who said the Fuuma Shuriken was from Suna..Someone was taking the ass whooping for that.
The boy stupidly rushed at Alex. Alex decided instead of playing Patient, he would immediately go into becoming the stronger Agent. Alex took off fast towards the boy (speed 5) and when he got outside of punching range he planted his left foot hard onto the ground and then pressed off mid run leaping forward raising his right knee forward. He was attempting to crash clean into the boys chest but found himself flying with his knee headed straight for the boys exposed face. The knee would crash into the boys Nose with full force 7 strength. This attack was accidental, but thanks to the opportunity given by the boy who foolishly tried to start a fight off with a leg sweep. The kid sealed his own knockout in his first move. Alex saw that with the boys own momentum he could have brought that flying knee to Kaanes chest possibly bruising some ribs due to the collision of there momentum coupled with Alex's strength of 7. Seeing the way the attack was turning out, Alex was sure this would be a one hit knock out now that the attack was headed for Kaanes nose.
If the attack were to either land or be somehow stopped, Alex would tuck and roll and immediately get back into his defensive Muay Thai stance and await the boys next move.

Kaane was beyond surprised to see the knee flying towards his face, his sweeping kick having backfired on him due to his negligence. Perhaps he had slightly underestimated this scrapper if only due to his rank and youth. But as he barely managed to get a hand up in time for what he knew he had to do, he also knew he would not make the same mistake again.
As he had kicked with his left leg, his left arm was currently behind him keeping his balance, and his right arm was forward. He would use his left hand to push the knee barely out of the way of his face. However, this would also mean that Alex's forward momentum would crash onto Kaane, forcing him underneath Alex in what was sure to be a dangerous position if he didn't get out of it.
He would be laying down on his back, while Alex would probably be above him ready to throttle him or something of that nature, unless he had somehow maneuvered off of him and avoided falling on top of him.
In the more likely case, Kaane would curl his right leg under him in desperation, attempting to push him off with a kick to the abdomen before he could get him in any sort of hold.

Just as predicted, The knee that Alex had sent towards the chest of his opponent ended up heading straight for the boys face instead. Alex smirked and rode out the attack waiting to feel the impact of his knee to the boys skull. He felt soft flesh but no skull as the boy sent a hand up to block the knee just in time. Alex frowned as he would see yet another opening from the boy. From the momentum of the jump Alex would land with his ass on the boys chest and crotch in his face. Not the usual mount Alex would go for but it's a good start. The position in question would render the boys legs useless for any sort of offensive unless the child started bucking his hips in an attempt to throw Alex off balance. Alex wasted no time on attempting a submission. An arm bar would be difficult from this position.
If the boy found a way to get his arms from under Alex's legs from this position then Alex would no doubt go for that exact submission, resting a hand on the boys right collar bone after trapping the boys wrist under his arm pit. He would simply raise his right knee and throw himself onto his back grabbing low on the boys forearm. Then he would let the arm fall between his leg with the elbow right below his groin. He would crank back on the arm with all of his strength til the boy tapped.
That was Alex's back up plan of course. Until the boy actually got out of this mount he would rain punches and vertical hammer fists down on the boys face until either the fight was called a victory in his favor or the boy was knocked out. Whichever, Alex began swinging hard with all of his strength and speed at the boys face in no real pattern. Just random rights and lefts with the occasional hammer fist strike to the bridge of the boys nose.

Altar would watch in amusement as the fight started. The well mannered, yet somewhat offputting boy started with a gesture of good will, something few nin remembered nowadays, especially in Kirigakure. The ill tempered boy, however made no such gesture, very clearly more interested in the fight than the foreplay. Something vaguely respectable, as in a real fight there were no niceties, but it still had an air of...arrogance about it. Or perhaps the boy just carried that with him everywhere.
As the fight started, Alex took a strange, rather top heavy stance. Kaane rushed in and dropped down for what appeared to be a leg sweep, but not before Alex also took off and aimed a knee at the boy.Altar then watched in hilarity as the knee went well over Kaane's head. The knee seemed to almost catch Kaane in the face, however instead of countering the boy simply let Alex land on him. From here, Kaane tried in vain to worm his leg into an awkward position under Alex, while Alex started attempting to rain down blows on the boy trapped underneath him.
Altar would sigh and pinch the bridge of his nose, looking at the dirty scrap in front of him in exasperation. "Kaane, you won't be able to get your leg under him, he's too far forward on your body. Use that to your advantage. You should be flexible enough to knock him in the back with your knees, or push him further forward and off" the boy would say, cocking an eyebrow at the two. He wouldn't call the spar off unless one of them admitted defeat or were completely unable to fight back.
(OOC: Okay, so down here i'm gonna post anything that could've gone differently from how it actually panned out. I hesitate to say mistakes, but I lack for a better word.
Kaane - You took a hit you totally didn't have to. Seeing as he already declared himself in the air with the target being your chest, it was too late for him to change trajectory, and your head would've been far below where your chest was. The most you would've gotten were his toes brushing your hair. You also let yourself fall into an awkward position, as Alex's momentum would've kept him moving forward and landing just past where you were laying.
Alex - Nothing much so far seeing as you've had the fight more or less handed to you thus far. Just a few things that are more generally NRPG-specific. A Muay Thai stance won't help you on here, it'll end up hindering you more than anything. A general L-fighting stance is more than enough unless you're 100% tai based or a hyuuga. Also, submissions are useless. If you're strong enough to break a bone via submission, you're strong enough to break it by hitting it real hard. All you'll do in a submission is put yourself in an awkward, vulnerable position.
You both should specify left/right, as well as distances too. Alex so far has done well in labeling his the speed and strength of his attacks.)

(OOC: Thx for the info. To be honest, I saw no way out of it. I'm bad at contesting things and muddling over details. And Yen and Alex convinced me leg sweeps were objectively terrible. Also I might be cheating with my stats since I claimed them two days after i entered this thread but I forget what they were before)
Kaane was positively stunned at how he'd been apparently decimated so quickly. His slow wit for taijutsu really put him in a bind here. And now his face was literally getting turned into mash and he couldn't do anything about it. His mind was trying to be angry, frustrated, even sad, but he was more so amazed that this kid, a student, was beating the crap out of him, with such anger and intensity behind his untrained blows.
How was the only word going through his mind, along with the volatile mixed bag of emotions immobilizing him. It was tough to think of anything else as he felt his nose crack and bleed from a particularly strong punch to it. But he had handled beatings like this before, and he knew he could do it again.
Even as Altar began to speak, the same thought clicked into his mind. He barely heard him finish his sentence as he brought his anger to bear, digging in past the pain of his face getting wrecked as he pushed with all his right side's might, tossing him off to his left with a strength of 13.
Now they would both be likely on the ground. Though a part of Kaane was angered and wanted to kick the shit out of him right then and there, he knew he couldn't. This was just a kid that needed to learn real taijutsu. And perhaps most importantly, as he had been taught numerous times in the Academy, acting rashly in hatred was not the shinobi way.
He pulled himself back from the brink and instead leapt to his feet, ignoring the feeling of blood rushing to his bruised head as he gripped Alex by either the back of his shirt or his chest and throwing him to his feet. Combined with Kaane backing up a bit, they would end up about 7 meters away from him.
Kaane wiped his nose with his sleeve as he turned his head to the Anbu. "I'm sorry sensei."
He would then turn back to Alex with the same, ethereal smile on his face as ever. "Let's try this again."
He would leap forward, high enough to have enough time to manage a reverse roundhouse with his right leg, swiping through the air with his calf facing its imaginary target. However, this wasn't meant to hit him, it wasn't even within range of doing so, or within range of a counterattack, unless Alex decided to leap in the air with him. Moreso, it was a feint and a way for him to get his speed and power up for the next techniquethat may or may not have been learned by the time I entered the thread but timeline is fluid and i'm a bad PvPer so screw you
Landing just within kicking range on his left foot, just as his right leg had almost completed a 360 degree rotation to his right side where the kick began, he would attempt to slam the leg against the top of Alex's muay thai stance, the side of his left arm with a speed and strength of 10 and 13 respectively. Then with that momentum, whipping his head around to keep his eye on his opponent as he was forced to turn after completing the kick. He would then follow up with a side kick with his left leg, also directly into the front of his guard near his elbows, with a speed of 17.5 and strength of 20.5.
Then finally he would complete the Leaf Whirlwind combo with a speed of 25 and a strength of 28 by performing a forward roundhouse (shin facing instead of calf) directly into the boy's left side of his hip, much lower than his attacks into his muay thai guard. After most likely being forced on the defensive by his previous two attacks, he was sure he had made some headway this time around.
