Chisana on a role
Tue Nov 29, 2016 12:02 am
The young, aspiring student spent her time in the classroom asking a million questions as the instructor went over the training the students would be taking on that day. She'd spent the morning eagerly applying herself through four jutsu and this next period would be spent on the one she was desperate for, Genjutsu Release. So of course there was much to be learned. Question after question after question weighed on her instructor. At first he was as eager as her to answer, but her informality left him waning.
"Can you control someone entirely through Genjutsu? What are the limitation? What could be the potential? I haven't found enough books or scrolls yet are there any available, our text books aren't nearly as detailed as neccessary to succesfully leave informed for battle and training. And if we were to come into contact, would the genjutsu release always work or is there much more we need to-"
The instructor slammed his text book to the desk in front. A few jumped, but many were now used to this strange exchange of interogation from the last handful of days Kiseki, Chisana had arrived. It was one thing to be the class pet, it was another to be the class annoyance. But Chisana was never fazed or even aware her peers thought of her as such. In fact she simply wasn't bothered in the slightest, nor surprised at her instructor's intiative.
"Kiseki. Enough," he sighed, reigning the fever back in. Red flushed his cheeks and he pinched the bridge of his nose, hoping to keep the rage from reaching his brain. This student would be one of his most intelligent graduates, but his patience with her....was more limited than ever. "Class, to the training grounds. Pair up, start practicing the techniques listed on the board."
Students rose from their chairs and shuffled in their pairs and groups, excitedly talking about their upcoming training hour and how nice the weather had been, hair styles, new clothes, and whatever else the hormonally awkward academy students spent their time with. Whilst the smallest of the class stood waiting by the door, text book open in one hand, her other scribbling notes furiously in it. The instructor slowly reached her as the last of the crowd exited down the hall.
"I take it I'm your partner?" He offered more as a statement than a question. She didn't even look up at him as she responded, "You are the only one in this class capable of contracting a genjutsu, correct?" She to offered this as a statement more than a question. Turning quickly she snapped the book closed, stuffed it in her pocket and from another pulled that rice cake from the morning and started nibbling it along the short walk to the grounds. The instructor sighed and followed.
On the grounds, the air was crisp, the clouds were thick and the sun shone in a broken patch warming only to that of a cool bath. Dew still sat upon leaves and grass blades, and the patches of clearing were moist enough none of the gathered students, tumbling and racing about, were kicking up dirt. With his prescense, order resumed and the voices of students shouting techniques and throwing about handsigns could be seen. Kunai hit stumps and dummies and there were only but a soft murmur of voices outside their training conversation. Chiseki led on to her patch from the morning. The instructor kicked at the impaled garden snake. "Your doing, I assume." Chiseki shrugged and awaited, twirling a strand of strawberry wine hair loose from her ever falling braid. She'd just finished her rice cake and stared evenly at him. Her chakra reserves were low, but her determination high. The instructor stared evenly at her, "Very well."
She awaited a moment for some handsign or signal. But it was a moment wasted.
The air was somehow different, breathable, yes, but different. It was still. The sunshine wasn't warm, the clouds were stiff, and the students around her were subtle, like shadows or echoes of the past. Her biggest cue was nothing as obvious, but something entirely of detail. She felt content.
Probably a bit hastily, she pulled her hands together, summoned the chakra and pushed out, sending her strength and prowress with it.
The instructor seemed to hesitate. The students around her fell back into distinct clarity, the clouds lomed like waves in the sky, the sun held it's warmth on her face and her studious control was back in order. Though, now there was a bit of rage underlining.
"You had to make me happy?" She asked tensly. Raising an eyebrow, crossing her arms and tapping one finger upon her arm.
The instructor's chin raised a bit proudly, but he decided not to respond. "Well done, your timing could be better, but it was quick as usual."
She looked about and seemed a bit out of place, she was exhausted, and her instructor didn't seem interested in answering any more questions. But with good graces, "Go home, Kiseki." And with that he left. As well with that, so did she, another rice cake in her mouth.
