Sora went straight to business, the boy hadn't wanted to slack off when the other two were working so hard. Like Reizo had said Aerial Strip was really easy; all Sora had to do is control his chakra steadily, and then let it all out in the form of a punch. The reason for the name was if you were strong enough you could literally knock the clothes off of someone, that's why the chocolate-brown haired boy would never use it on girls.
Ever.
Ignoring that fact Sora went to the other side of the training ground for space. The boy started to channel his chakra with a simple hand sign. When he had enough chakra in his arm - enough to not completely obliterate his appendage - he would attack the straw mannequin.
Sora watched as the others went through their techniques. The small boy had opened a tattered scroll causing the boy to raise an eyebrow, what was that? He didn't want to pry, but the Genin was also curious. His acquaintance started to tear up causing; Sora turned towards Reizo not wanting to get into someone else's business.
It seemed Reizo was still working on his weapon techniques; was he also a weapon specialist? No, that wasn't it. The Genin was experienced, but Sora didn't think he'd be able to take up two different specialties. Only Chuunin were able to do that, so maybe Reizo was going to do it later in his career.
Sora chuckled to himself slightly as he finished channeling chakra. His final thought before his fist connected with the dummy was he wanted to be as strong as those two; not physical, but mentally as well. The Genin's fist launched forward connecting his flesh with straw sending it flying. The rope hadn't come off causing Sora to frown as the target hit the floor with an audible crash.
Instead of giving up Sora ran to the fallen dummy and picked it up. He grunted as he dragged it back to the place it was before he had launched it. Sora's eyes furrowed in determination as he brought his hand back without the hand sign. It was difficult to channel chakra throughout your body without some sort of conductor. It was like electricity; it needed a conductor to be useful. Still, that didn't mean electricity couldn't be used without a conductor; it'd just be very hard to use the raw energy.
Sora breathed in and out with clenched eyes. He opened them his fierce but calm blue eyes shone in the light as he mustered all the chakra he could into his right arm. He launched his fist forward slamming it into the dummy causing it to fly farther before. His calm face turned into one of sheer joy.
"All right!" He cried happily hopping into the air in a stance similar to a certain plumber. He took off in full sprint to see the dummy had been unraveled and straw was all over the place. Sora raised his eyebrow; he wondered where the rope was? He looked up in the air to see the rope flying through the air and to hit the earth right next to the dummy. Sora grinned once again, he had done it perfectly!
He slammed his hand into his palm with even more determination than before. Sora was going to finish the other skill, and then learn the other two from Reizo perfectly. He rushed over to the next dummy, and if confidence could glow he'd be basked in light. Time slowed down for him as he comprehended the skill. He skidded to a halt with the look of disbelief on his face.
"Reizo!" Sora yelled with cupped hands, he'd rush over to the boy. "Do you know Leaf Whirlwind? Apparently, the technique is based off that one, so I need to learn that before I can learn Leaf Gale."
He chuckled lightly scratching the back of his head awkwardly, "Sorry if I interrupted your training... I won't ask for anything again! To make it up to you just tell me the other skills and I'll learn them easy peasy."
Sora would then wait for the other Genin's response.

Happy that he had found his clans formulas, Max would read several of the entries. They were all so fascinating, each one a prized work of a former puppeteer. Max would sit and read the scroll for quite some time, barely noticing the training going on around him. This was a goldmine, and with it he would be able to amplify his skills and puppets far beyond their current state.
Finally looking up, Max notices that the others look to have broken a bit of a sweat with all of their training. Such was to be expected, as they had been practicing the physical arts of Taijutsu and Kenjutsu. He himself hadn’t really seemed to do much of the training that he had wanted to so far, but that would be fine. There was still time to do so. Max would warm up a bit, stretching out in various ways to try his best to “limber up” before any of this hard physical training.
“You guys look like you are working hard. Napa and I will practice some too. Maybe I’ll get as buff as you Reizo!” Max would say with a slight chuckle. He knew that would never be the case, and Reizo had probably known this, too. Still if Max was to pass his Chuunin Exams he might have to learn to be a bit more capable a fighter. Napa can’t always be there to protect him, and neither can Stein. More unpleasant thoughts, but ones he had to consider. Should he ever be without his puppets, or find them destroyed by a capable opponent, what would he do? The boy knew a little bit about various disciplines, but he wasn’t going to be able to do much without the support of his little puppet squad. He of course had his team to rely on during missions and anything of that sort, but the Exams were an activity that one had to do alone. Of course, he also knew his strengths and weaknesses. He wasn’t a front line fighter type. No, he would prove most useful at a distance, supporting his allies with ranged techniques while he puppets aided in the melee combat and helped draw some attention away from the team. That was his role, and despite the exams he would only grow stronger as a shinobi if he understands and accepts his own faults. He had an extensive chakra pool though, and his mastery over his chakra had really started to flourish. It wouldn’t be long before he had complete mastery over it. And one he had mastery over his own, he could begin to better understand others, and maybe even eventually recreate such through his puppetry. He realized quickly that he should focus more on the here and now though.
The first mission was stealth based, and Max couldn’t say that he was the stealthiest of the shinobi. In fact, between his puppets and the reek of death, he was normally fairly easy to find. Max would have to find some way to be able to “hide” in plain sight. The transformation technique was available, but that would only prove to be slightly useful. It required heavy concentration, and it was a fairly simple technique to break. No, he would require something else. Something a little bit more… creative. Max would flip through his Jutsu Encyclopedia quickly, trying to find something useful. It wouldn’t take long before he came up with an idea of what to learn, and so he would flip to that section.
“Deception comes in many forms, and it can be a powerful tool to any shinobi. I should use this technique and see how it works.” The boy would whisper to himself. The technique was a strange one, as it didn’t utilize much to focus the chakras. No, it seemed to be that one would simply have to “will” such a technique into existence. But how could someone do that? How could someone just utilize their chakra in such a way to will such into play?
Max would begin to sense out the area, looking at everything and taking in all the sensory data he could. After getting a firm grasp on what he wanted to do, he would immediately begin to funnel chakra into the area around him, “energizing it” of sorts, and making it easier to mold his will into existence. After pouring chakra out into the area, Max would immediately shift his mind, thinking about another place and time. His mind stretched out to the past, images of the attacks coming to mind. Those red eyes… those evil red eyes… violent, and hungry for blood.
One of the training dummies shifts its appearance into that of a twisted, deformed image of Mortarion, this sight looking more like it had been made up of the stuff of nightmares even than the actual Mortarion had been. That alone was a disturbing thought. The ground would grow slick, a river of blood raging from the feet of the monster. Its eyes glowed with a fierce intensity, their red orbs always seeming to follow you no matter where you go.
Max stood up, staring down the false image. His eyes wouldn’t budge, almost as if he had been in some sort of trance. Max's own eyes were black as night. Was the man this image stemmed from really the monster that he had been in the mind of Max? Only time would tell for sure.

Reizo was alerted to Sora's struggle by his name being called by the junior Genin. Curious to see what the problem might be, Reizo ran over to where Sora was training. He would listen to Sora deliberate about the requirements for the Leaf Gale, and gave a response, blushing as he did so. He forgot about such requirements for the jutsu. He had learned them at just about the same time so he hadn't quite sorted it out in his head the order in which he'd learned them. "Hmm sorry about that, Sora. Of course I'll show you the Leaf Whirlwind, it was an honest mistake, I promise," Reizo would say, sweating not just from his training but also because of his nerves while issuing such a pathetic excuse. Sora then apologized, which caught Reizo off guard. Why on Earth would he apologize? It was Reizo's fault. To be honest, even though Sora was a very nice kid, Reizo wasn't quite sure he was so cut out to be a ninja. He was being too nice. Reizo honestly worried if the kid would have any guts or backbone to stand up for himself when the time came. Then again, at one point Reizo had been somewhat similar, and perhaps like Reizo, Sora would grow out of it as he learned how to fight and had actual team responsibilities. Reizo had only grown out of it as a direct result of training and being repeatedly put in combat experience and learning how to fight at a higher level than most Genin. Given the time, Sora would probably end up the same way. "First off, there's no need to apologize, it's my mistake. I'll still take you up on the offer though, if you really want to learn everything at once. You seem like a smart kid, I'm sure you can handle it," Reizo would tell his junior.
[color=#33ccff["Leaf Whirlwind is pretty simple as far as Taijutsu go. The premise of it is that you want to be able to use a high kick, and while pivoting on your other foot, you strike low in a consecutive fashion. It's all one fluid motion. Typically the high kick is used as a feint, as it's not an attack that is usually very practical in combat, however if the opening presents itself, it can prove to be an effective and powerful strike to the head while sweeping them off their feet with the low kick. The Leaf Gale is an extension of this, where it's essentially just the low sweep. The main difference, however, is that while the Leaf Whirlwind is more designed to cause direct injury, the Leaf Gale is used to turn an opponent's momentum against them. That is to say, the Leaf Whirlwind is more of an attack, while the Leaf Gale is typically a counter attack or riposte, if that makes sense,"[/color] Reizo would pause to make sure Sora understood it all before continuing. "I'll demonstrate the Whirlwind in slow motion first, and then in real time. For Leaf Gale, just do the second half of the motion, but instead of sweeping behind or with the opponent's direction, you'll want to sweep into them to trip them up," Reizo would say, stretching his legs briefly to prepare himself for the jutsu. Reizo would take a step away from Sora before demonstrating, showing Sora a profile view of the jutsu only 5 feet away from him.
Reizo slowly lifted his left leg to above head height, swinging it counterclockwise so his heel would strike an imaginary target in the temple at an exaggerated pace. As his heel would connect with his fake opponent, he would bring his leg down, and pivot on his right foot, crouching down to ground level. Using his left hand to maintain his balance, Reizo would switch to his right foot and continue his counterclockwise strike at just above ankle height so that his shin would strike his imaginary target's calf. The Genin would stand back up once the motion was completed, look over to Sora and make eye contact to ensure it made sense, the nodded and went back to his hypothetical target. He would now speed it all up to show how it all looked at full speed. Reizo would use the Leaf Whirlwind in the same fashion as he had just demonstrated it, but now at full speed (99 speed). It would almost certainly seem like just a blur to Sora, who was fresh out of the Academy, but Reizo hoped it inspired some motivation in the young Genin to train and become strong. Sora would at least be able to make out that there were two separate kicks, one high and one low, even though the transition between them would look nearly instantaneous, the kicks appearing almost simultaneous. Reizo's kicks would cause the wind around them that was created to whistle, and the sound would in fact sound similar to that created from high speed winds as would be heard during an actual hurricane or whirlwind.
Reizo would turn back to Sora with a big grin, rubbing his nose with his index finger. He knew he was stronger and faster than Sora, and definitely wanted to make it clear to him, but at the same time he didn't want to seem like an arrogant tool. "I hope you got that, cuz now we're moving onto the next jutsu. Next I'll show Dynamic Entry, to keep it related to Taijutsu. This is a simple jutsu, all you need to do is focus your chakra throughout your body so that you can move at your maximum speed, and then you deliver a flying kick," Reizo would say, walking away from Sora so he was adjacent to him, but this time he faced the treeline behind the other Genin. He wanted to make sure he had something solid to connect with to demonstrate the power of the kick. Reizo took a step back and crouched so that he was in a lowered stance to get all of the power out of his legs. Reizo then lept forward (speed 89) and straightened his right leg while bending and withdrawing his left leg. He went flying past Sora and connected with a thick tree behind him. He held back a bit in his strength so that he wouldn't fell the tree, but instead just shake it violently, forcing any animals taking residence to flee wildly in panic. When he connected with the tree, Reizo would then push off with both legs, performing multiple back flips to land right beside Sora.
"Because it's not the fastest or safest jutsu, I like to recommend preempting it with a kunai or shuriken to catch an enemy's attention first. Next I'll show you the Body Flicker Technique. It might be a little hard for you to catch the difference between my max speed and when I'm using the Body Flicker because my chakra isn't all that strong yet since I've lately been working on my body, but I'll show it anyway. The idea behind the Body Flicker is similar to Dynamic Entry- you want to use your chakra to invigorate all the muscles in your body to move beyond your top speed. You want to be able to keep this up for a bit. The biggest downside to this is that you can only move in a straight line, and because it requires a hand sign, you can't really use it while your hands are occupied, making its offensive use somewhat limited unless you have an alternative way to weave the hand sign," Reizo would say. First, Reizo would run full speed (69 speed) to the tree line to demonstrate his top speed. On his way back, Reizo would form the Ram hand sign, indicating that he would use his Body Flicker to take him back. He would speed back to his spot next to Sora in an instant (99 speed).
"Building off this concept, I'll show you the Flicker Movement. It's a similar concept, but it's a Space - Time variant. It's not nearly as fast as the Body Flicker, but you might find it has more utility as you can up your overall speed with it, your reactions will be improved, and you can move in other ways that aren't as direct as the Body Flicker," he would explain. After forming the needed hand signs, Reizo would show his improved speed, running in wide circles and showing off some punches and kicks. "It's one of those jutsu that's hard to demonstrate, but you'll definitely know when you get it right," Reizo said. "Just make sure you don't put too much chakra into it, or you'll hurt yourself like another friend of mine did when he was first learning it. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen that kid since, I wonder what he could be up to," Reizo wondered aloud.
Getting back on task, Reizo would introduce the final jutsu he would demonstrate, as requested. "The last jutsu, the Shadow Shuriken, is kinda unrelated to any of the other ones I've shown, since it's a weaponry jutsu. Nonetheless, it's a difficult jutsu to learn. You want to throw two shuriken, or other weapon, consecutively so that one proceeds in the shadow of the other. It's pretty tricky to get this illusion to work because they're traveling at different speeds and are thrown at different times, so you have to calculate intuitively how your opponent will view the weapons from their perspective given their distance from both you and the shuriken. My only advice to you on this one is to not get discouraged if you can't do it for a while, it takes a lot of time to figure out, especially if you don't have a lot of prior experience with weaponry jutsu like I did when learning it," Reizo would say, drawing two shuriken out of his weapons pouch. He would point to a tree in the line behind Sora which he would use to demonstrate the jutsu. He threw the first shuriken between his index and middle finger, and in a seamless motion would throw the other shuriken trailing behind it in the shadow of the first, nearly invisible, from his middle and ring finger of the same hand. The shuriken would embed into the tree simultaneously, one below the other. Reizo would retrieve the two shuriken, and put them back in his weapons pouch. "Good luck with learning them, I hope you figure them out. I actually have to leave soon, as I forgot I had something to do, so I'll leave the rest to you," Reizo would say, turning to Max to say his good byes.
Reizo chuckled at the puppeteer's suggestion that he'd be as strong as he was. Of course that wouldn't likely happen, it wouldn't make sense for Max to train his strength to such a degree- he was neither a taijutsu nor a weapons specialist. Reizo soon noticed that one of the training dummies had transformed into a nightmarish version of the Raikage. It was strange, because while it did look like the Raikage in some respects, it was certainly not human at all. Is this what it's like to be in a Genjutsu? I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this, but it definitely fits the description of some of the Genjutsu I've read up on in my Jutsu Encyclopedia. I suppose I could definitely use this time to test out the Genjutsu Release. I've been meaning to try it, but I've never had an opportunity to try it, Reizo would say, forming the needed hand sign. Although his chakra wasn't that strong, he knew such a basic illusion would be easy to dispel regardless (30 Chakra). The illusion would dissipate and Reizo would see the dummy for what it really was. He wanted to ask Max as to what the meaning of using the Genjutsu was, but he was worried it'd be too sensitive a topic. He recalled when their sensei had asked them about their desires of being a ninja and their motivations, and that Max's primary motivation was to take out Mortarion himself. Reizo questioned his own beliefs at the time, but after all he had been through, he wasn't sure he still hated the Raikage. It'd be interesting to see how Max's own journey shapes his vision of Kumogakure and its leader.
Reizo practiced a few punches just before he would say good bye to Max. He wanted to make sure he had completely nailed down the Sucker Punch jutsu. He went back to using his fast twitch muscle fibers, and attacking with his full body strength, launching his body behind his fist to increase the power of the attack. He imagined an enemy in front of him, slightly taller than the Genin himself, but of a leaner build. He hypothetically struck the man in the stomach with his full punch, and the guy crumpled to the ground before the Genin. Reizo had mentally figured out the jutsu- the angle, the speed, the power... all of it. He was nearly 100% certain he had figured it all out without even needing to demonstrate it on a real person. Seeing how Reizo had figured out the Sucker Punch technique, he didn't see much of a need to continue his training, and he simply wanted to move on. Reizo said his good bye to Max and waved back to Sora as he headed back into the village to run whatever errand excuse he had made up.
Reizo made sure he had everything before departing, and he would make his way back home to shower and get ready for dinner. He hadn't realized just how late it had gotten and rushed home. He had a tendency to get carried away while training, and he hoped his mom wouldn't be too upset that he would be a little late at getting ready. When he got home, Reizo would slip out of his sandals. His mom wouldn't even notice that he had snuck into the house through the front door. He quietly made his way to his room and stripped himself of his clothing and hopped in the shower. He forgot it was his mom's anniversary, and without his father there to commemorate it, Reizo was stuck with the duty of entertaining his mom at dinner for the night.

Max would stare into the abyss that was the red sharingan eyes of this nightmarish creature. The creature would reach out, touching the boy on the chest. It would press its elongated fingers into the chest of Max, sending him into shock. The beast would clutch at the heart of Max, his eyes black and lifeless like pools of ink showing no pain nor emotion. Just the void.
Tears would roll down the cheek of the boy, his pain magnifying as he gazes upon the man that caused him so much pain. Without so much as a motion, Max’s puppets would come to his defense. Napa would slice the arm off of the figment, as Stein picked the boy up and cradled the youth. He still hadn’t moved, like his body had been paralyzed or such. Stein would put him down gently as Max’s eyes returned to their normal blue state. Napa and Stein would slump over, unable to move an inch. The boy would return his gaze at the monster before him. He could not fear the beast that was Mortarion. No that would be counterproductive. One shouldn’t fear their Raikage. Respect his power, yes. Fear him? No.
This was all just a figment of his imagination, it had to be. He recalled this as he thought back to what he had read right before this had started. Max would begin to focus all of his chakra trying his best to remember the technique used to break Genjutsu. It took a moment, but he eventually figured it out and began to form the necessary seals. In an instant the jutsu broke, and the “beast” had returned to the training dummy in the eyes of the boy, dissipating for Sora as well.
Max would gather his things and wish Sora a farewell. “It was good to meet you. I hope to see you soon around the village. I have a lot of work to do on my puppets,” he would say as he gazed back at the scroll and thought about all that he could do with such information. His clan secrets were all hidden away in here. Waving farewell, Max would walk back to his shack to begin work.
“Napa, I’m pretty sure you will be getting an upgrade here soon. With this, I’ll reform your body. I’ll give you a frame that is worthy of your greatness. Only question is, where do I begin?” Max would ask, his puppets following behind him as he walked.
“I’m sure things are going to get…interesting.” Napa would say as he followed Max directly on the right. The image of that beast was on Max’s mind, so Napa’s seeds were starting to sprout. Now it would only take proper care over time and they would grow and prosper.

Sora watched carefully as Reizo demonstrated all of the moves. He'd recall all of the words the Genin had said as he went through each skill.
"I'll demonstrate the Whirlwind in slow motion first, and then in real time. For Leaf Gale, just do the second half of the motion, but instead of sweeping behind or with the opponent's direction, you'll want to sweep into them to trip them up," Reizo had said as he demonstrated it almost perfectly. It was so fast that the wind was distorted from it causing Sora's eyes to widen. He wished one day he'd be that strong.
'No wonder he is a Taijutsu specialist, I'd be defeated so fast!' Sora thought with a comical trail of sweat rolling down his head. The demonstration wouldn't make Sora feel down, it'd inspire him, even more, to get this down.
He picked up another straw dummy and crouched down low so he could bounce back up in a clock-wise round-house kick to the imaginary temple. As soon as he blinked he flew forward slamming his leg into his head (Speed & Strength: 30). It wasn't as near as fast as Reizo's.
He had gotten it down pretty easily so he went straight for the Leaf Gale. He performed Leaf Whirlwind once again and then as he finished the high kick he performed the low kick towards the dummy's heel. It cracked the wooden pole that held up the straw dummy.
Sora inhaled and exhaled catching his breath. Those moves weren't easy to learn, they were quite difficult. Next Taijutsu move!
He recalled Reizo's words once again.
"Next, I'll show Dynamic Entry, to keep it related to Taijutsu. This is a simple jutsu, all you need to do is focus your chakra throughout your body so that you can move at your maximum speed, and then you deliver a flying kick," Reizo had said.
Sora ran to the other side of the training grounds. He kneeled down in a running position before taking off at full speed towards another straw dummy. He channeled chakra throughout his body with a single hand sign before he launched himself forward slamming his leg right into the dummy's chest knowing if that was a real person it would've done some serious damage.
He used that dummy as a board to push off into a back flip and land it gracefully. Sora smiled once again at his success, he turned to look at Reizo and Max and it seemed as if they were almost done training. He smiled, it was now time for the speed techniques.
"Because it's not the fastest or safest jutsu, I like to recommend preempting it with a kunai or shuriken to catch an enemy's attention first. Next, I'll show you the Body Flicker Technique. It might be a little hard for you to catch the difference between my max speed and when I'm using the Body Flicker because my chakra isn't all that strong yet since I've lately been working on my body, but I'll show it anyway. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen that kid since, I wonder what he could be up to,"
They were similar but different. One was a Ninjutsu and another one was a Space-Time jutsu but they both enhanced the speed of their user. Sure it did depend on your chakra for Body Flicker and Flicker Movement was slower for only you, but they were both still useful.
Sora made the Ram sign to channel the chakra throughout his body and every muscle. He breathed in and out before he flew at a speed he never imagined he could move (Speed: 45). His eyes widened as he saw himself on the other side of the training grounds once again. Sora felt dizzy, it would take him a while to get used to that technique.
The Genin used Flicker Movement right after. It was like everything slowing down... it was like the world around him was not active and the only thing alive was himself. He reached his hand out slowly but as soon as it had started it had ended. It was likely designed for a quick attack, not a tripping moment.
Sora laughed at his own joke. It was now time to learn Shadow Shuriken.
"The last jutsu, the Shadow Shuriken, is kinda unrelated to any of the other ones I've shown since it's a weaponry jutsu. Nonetheless, it's a difficult jutsu to learn. You want to throw two shurikens, or another weapon, consecutively so that one proceeds in the shadow of the other. Sora grabbed two of his shurikens and held it tightly in his hand. He brought it back remembering the words that his Genin friend had said once again. He brought back his hands and then threw them at the same time, it only looked like one of them was thrown, as like the technique said, the shuriken was shadowing another shuriken. After he learned all of them Sora went over them again.
Inner Flame, the one that he had learned before he came to Reizo, was just a survival technique that would come into great use when he went on a mission outside the village.
Leaf Whirlwind and Leaf Gale, with those two moves he could make a good combo! They were the first Taijutsu moves he had learned so he was going to be happy to use them during a real fight, or maybe just a spar. It would be nice if he could get some combat experience from sparring with others.
Dynamic Entry was a move that he could start a move with, or counter someone launching at him. He could do this move and then follow up with either Leaf Whirlwind or Leaf Gale.
Aerial Strip, another good move. A perverted move if needed to be... he was still skeptical about using this. He had always sworn that he would never use this against a woman.
Body Flicker and Flicker Movement would allow him to be faster than he already was. He was just thinking about coming up with millions of ways to use the Taijutsu moves with these moves as well.
Sora had told everyone goodbye as he walked home. He couldn't wait to show Roxas everything that he had learned. As soon as he made it back to the orphanage he ran inside.
"Big brother!" Roxas screamed jumping at him in a hug. Sora caught him with a little laugh as he spun him around and placed him onto the ground. "Want to see some moves, bro?" Sora had asked. As soon as he had said it that small twinkle had shown up in his little brother's eyes.
They had gone to the backyard as fast as they could, and in Sora's case, Body Flicker had made him beat his little brother in a rockslide. All day he had shown his little brother a technique before he passed out with a smile on his face.
