Step by step
Tue Jan 24, 2017 7:14 pm
The man crossed the field, his eye set on the city in front of him. It had taken him a day or so to arrive here. Not all that long considering the distance travelled. Hoshigakure hadn't changed much since his last visit. Not much as in at all anyway. It looked pretty much exactly the same. Quite odd really. His right eye bandaged over, a mess of long white hair covering the majority of his face and back. Accompanied with a dusty white coat over that. It was suffice to say that the man stood out quite a bit. It didn't matter that much to him however. He wanted to draw attention to him. The more notice he received, the more likely that he would catch the attention of the man he wished to meet with. Simple logic in the end.
The man moved through to the gates, passing through them unless something prevented him from doing so.

Another day at the gates with as little fun as humanly possible. The fun however was seeing the faces of the people who came to seek solace within the walls of Hoshi, his eyes taking a gentle glance at each person before asking what their reason for coming and length of stay. For those seeking a new home he directed them to another line which would help them sort out their business while he handled the short term and possible ninja convoys that may have made their way here. Among these people one stood out the most, not because of the looks or clothing but the feeling Dusk had felt. It wasn't often the young chuunin had dealt with things like this so he reluctantly decided to gain a closer look. Upon him actually becoming closer to the male he recognized him from the day that he had signed the snake contract (And tried to hug him despite the danger). Stepping just in front of the male, Dusk would give a slight wave before speaking," Hello there! What brings you back to Hoshi?," the ever friendly smile stayed complacent of his face as he relaxed and waited for an answer.

The architecture of the gates was quite grand. He took note of that now. Maybe he had before also, he wasn't too sure. Not particularly paying attention to the people that were filing in and out of the city, it came as quite a surprise when someone suddenly came into his vision. They seemed somewhat familiar. His eye scanned them up and down as the man stopped walking a few steps away. They asked a question, standard affairs. He paused for a moment, trying to put a name to a face. A memory flashed through his mind after a moment. One of the lesser shinobi from when he encountered Den here. One of the few that didn't run off if he recalled.
The man nodded slightly in the boy's direction. A sign that he had actually acknowledged his presence and wasn't simply blanking him. A moment later he replied. "Visiting former friends I suppose." The sound of his own voice surprised him. It had been awhile since he had spoke out loud. His voice seemed to lack any enthusiasm, though that didn't surprise him nearly as much. "Denkiteki Hayato and Akihana Akari. Though the second one doesn't matter nearly as much. Sightseeing also I guess."

He thought by friends he had meant Den since the last time he had seen him, a fight had broke out far beyond his eyes. Though he was a genin he stood there while many other ran and fled, his own life forsaken by his curiosity dwelling within him. His thoughts however were confirmed as the male mentioned two people he had been very close to which made him think he wasn't here for trouble," Oh! Lady Akihana is...I don't know where she is actually. No one has really told me anything, but Den should be in his study as usual. I rarely get to see him for training anymore but he's still alive," seeing as his reasons for what was to him valid he removed himself from in front of the male and motioned for the guards to let him pass. After a moment or two he would turn back to him and smile," Well I hope you enjoy your time here and get to see them. If you do tell them I said hi," with that he went back to the gates providing nothing else was needed from him.

The boy's response gave him some answers. Akihana had not returned to Hoshigakure. Perhaps she was dead. It wouldn't surprise him, considering the monster that she had decided to marry. He supposed it didn't concern him anymore. Akihana was not one of the pieces that was required, so it didn't matter in the end. He nodded once more, responding to the boy. With that he would enter into the gates, unless someone else tried to stop him. There was a brief moment in which he debated on informing the person about Akihana's situation. Would it put his mind at ease? The man thought about it. But it was just a thought, and that is what it would remain.
