Hitting the Mark[p, |Queen|]

They were finally in Sunagakure for the long awaited second part of the Jounin exams and Jace was itching to test himself against Queen, his....love interest?....and another contestant in the exams. He had really been hoping that he would be paired up against her in the first part of the battle exams portion, but unfortunately fate didn't seem to agree with him on that. Not being able to wait any longer he had sent Ro, one of his crow summons, to Queen with a message telling her to meet him in the training grounds ready to have a good sparring match. They both had undergone their own personal training in anticipation of the exams and the young Uchiha was certain that she had grown at least as much as he had thus far. 

Now the boy was sitting on the ground patiently waiting in a fairly deserted area of the grounds with his back to a large boulder and his signature umbrella propped up to keep the immense desert heat from draining his energy before Queen got there. It just wouldn't do if he let himself get all fatigued before he even had a chance to stretch. His body was trembling from the excitement, something that rarely, if ever, happened to him. It was so obvious now that even the usually quiet Ro had something to say about it. 

"If you keep on shaking like that the vibrations will end up burrying you in the sand, Jace." she finally said in what seemed to be a bored tone. 

"Oh hush, Ro. You know very well I'm not shaking even close enough to the correct speed or frequency for that to happen. Besides, Queen and I have been separated since before we arrived and I miss her. Not to mention this should give me an adequate reading on where I stand with the other contestants in the exams." the boy retorted calmly. There was silence once again after that as the pair waited for the girl in question to arrive at last.

Queen sat comfortably on the balcony of her hotel room, a refreshing drink in front of her as she looked over Suna. On a small table beside her was a few scrolls she was looking over. Business. Her coming to Suna wasn't solely for the exams but to expand her family's corporation to the desert oasis. Of course for that to happen, she'd have to catch herself up on Suna's business policies and meet up with a few local vendors. Just as she was about to continue her work, she caught sight of a black crow heading to her destination. It gently landed on the railing of the balcony, a small note tied to it' leg. Tri reached out and grabbed the note from the calm bird before it flew off towards the direction of the training ground.

A gentle smile creeped on the girl's face. She hasn't seen jace since those ninja bears had attacked them on the way to Suna. She was glad that he made it safely. The girl placed the note in the small terrace table before heading inside to go meet with the boy. She put on a pair of black heat resistant joggers and a cream coloured silk zip up hoodie. She'd also gather her ninja gear. If he was asking her to meet in the training grounds, it wasn't to go on a date. She was expecting a fight. The thought brought her back to the time they first met inside the boxing ring. Jace had tried to recruit her to join her team, it was way before she had even thought about being a ninja. Now here she was, on her way to hopefully making Jonin. For someone who originally didn’t believe in what the ninja stood for, and their quest for absolute power, she had come to make it far in their ranks. She still wondered where her place was in all of this, but for now she just had to prove to herself that she was capable enough.

The girl arrived to the training field rather swiftly, seeing the blonde boy sitting on the training field with the crow that had come to fetch her. “Long time no see, Jace.” She said, coming up from behind him. “You look to be enjoying yourself on this hot day?” She said, giggling to the umbrella that he used to block the heat of the unforgiving sun.

The boy's reading was interrupted by the sound of a familiar voice from behind him. Queen. He smiled and closed his book before turning his head to look at the pretty blonde girl behind him. They had gotten separated on their way to Sunagakure and this was the first time he had see her since the two of them had arrived. In truth he wasn't even completely sure she had arrived safely when he sent Ro to deliver that letter to her. Of course he never doubted that she was capable and safe, but he didn't really know.

It was a true relief knowing that she had made it there unharmed. A bright smile now appeared on Jace's face as he looked at the girl he was quickly falling in love with. "I'm glad you came." he said as he stood up and faced the girl. "I've missed you, Queen." he said softly as his eyes glanced down and away from the girl, his face becoming flushed from saying that out loud.

"Anyway I was hoping you'd train with me. It's been a while since we last fought. I'm sure we've both grown a lot since then and I wanted to see how I measured up against you now. What do you say?" he added quickly, not really giving the girl a chance to respond to his embarrassing emotional comment.

Queen heard the sound of a closing book as she approached the boy. She wasn’t surprised that the intellectual was spending his time reading. What a fucking nerd. At least, that’s what the girl would have thought if she wasn’t already acquainted with Jace. “Well it was either this, or business.” She said, looking at her cuticles as if disinterested before giving the boy a playful wink. She would never act this way with anyone else, but there was a sense of security that she felt with Jace that almost made her feel like a giddy school girl. Due to Queen’s doujutsu, she wasn’t one to quickly fall in a genjutsu, but the blonde boy had her in one called love. Something that would one day come to bite her.

“I. Umm.. “Queen started off, her face flushing red as she struggled to say that she missed the boy too. “It’s good to see you too... pal.” She said, bumping her fist playfully against his shoulder. She may be running for the rank of Queen of Taijutsu, but it was no doubt that she was the Queen of Flirting. The girl smirked when the question was brought up. “A spar huh?” She would say, cracking her knuckles as she began to back up to keep some distance between the two. “Well, I have one or two things that I’ve been training.” She said, hinting at her newfound Hyuuga abilities. Would she show them to Jace though? probably not. As far as he knew, she had a class that didn’t exist.

The girl would back up until she was a good ten meters away from the boy. “Let’s get this thing started.” She entered her fighting stance, ready to face her future lover.

Ita had not been in the village long before picking up a familiar chakra signature near the training grounds. Ita had been heading that way regardless because he was interested to see what kind of shinobi Suna had to offer. It was the first time that Ita had ventured this far from his home village. It was fascinating to Ita how different the two nations were form each other. This village was unlike the hidden Leaf in many ways. The ecosystem and terrain entirely was different with desert as far as the eyes could see. There was barely a tree in sight. This sense of change really intrigued Ita and got him thinking.

 “What else is out there?” Ita thought to himself as he made his way through the town. Ita’s eyes were wide as his attention switched from local store fronts to all the other amenities Suna had to offer. Ita hoped he would have some time to explore the different stores before leaving. Too bad he didn’t arrive earlier like the rest or he could have done so already.

Ita felt Jace’s chakra signature growing closer, meaning he must be close by. Ita now entered the training grounds and he could see the outline of two individuals in the distance. Ita was wearing a light gray hooded cloak over his black t-shirt and shorts. Ita hoped the light-colored clothing would help keep him cool from the sun’s rays. Ita was wearing black ninja sandals and two ninja weapon pouches containing various ninja tools as well. Ita also had his konoha headband strapped to his belt.

 

Ita came into view of his two comrades and noticed that Queen was there as well. Now that Ita was close enough to the two to talk without them being unable to hear he would speak up, taking note of the fighting stance that Queen had just taken.

 

“I hope I’m not intruding on anything…” ita would say again taking note of the situation.

It was a little embarrassing the way Queen had called Jace 'pal' and nudged him on the shoulder with her fist like he was some kind of friend and not more than that. He always knew the blonde girl wasn't very good at showing her feelings, the awkwardness of her gesture making it excruciatingly apparent. It was over quickly though as the girl heard him mention wanting to spar. Fighting was probably the one thing that she loved more than anything else and that was something Jace could agree with. Though for him it wasn't fighting exactly that got his blood flowing. Instead it was the feeling of growing stronger so that he could protect his home and his family if and when he ever needed to. Needless to say that included Queen. 

She had immediately taken up a fighting stance, positioning herself a good distance away from the Uchiha in preparation for their spar. The boy would do the same, leaving his umbrella stuck into the sand where it was and facing the girl. He pulled out a kunai from one of his weapons pouches and did some fancy handling as he switched it into a reverse style grip. "Ok. I'm ready when you are." he said with a smile on his face.

Just then another familiar voice cut through the air as Jace's friend Ita had arrived. He hadn't seen the other shinobi in quite some time now and it surprised Jace to realize how much he had actually missed Ita's company. "Oh hey Ita." he said as he relaxed his stance for a minute to greet his friend. "No no, you're not interrupting really. In fact, why don't you join us?" he said kindly. Then he looked over toward Queen. "That is, if you don't mind of course?"

Jace’s cue that he was ready was music to her ears. Just as she was about to charge him with almost everything she got, the cock blocker known as Ita arrived. Queen broke out of her fighting stance almost immediately, practically turned off by the situation as she recalled the last time Ita intruded on their spar. She wondered to herself if this was going to be a reoccurring even where the Uchiha was intrude every time the two love birds tried to fight each other. One day it wouldn’t be just a spar and on that day, she wouldn’t hesitate to kill the boy.

Just as Queen was about to tell him that yes, he was in fact interrupting, Jace has told the boy the opposite. Hell he even said he could join the two. As the blonde boy looked to Queen to see if she minded, she was put in a rather compromising position. “Um, of course not.” She lied, almost grinding her teeth in annoyance. That’s when an idea struck “Actually, why don’t you too both face off against me?” She suggested, rather confident that she could take the two Uchiha on.

Ita couldn’t help but feel as though he was intruding on something. There was clear tension in the air between Jace and the blonde girl. It was apparent that she was annoyed with Ita’s presence. For whatever reason, it didn’t matter much to Ita. It had been a while since he had seen the girl, Ita was interested to see what kind of improvements she had made.

 

Jace then invited Ita to join their training session. “I guess I could join in.” Ita said. Queen then proposed that the two Uchiha boys should face her together. That was a bold statement. Ita grinned. “The girl has guts that was for sure.” Ita glanced over to Jace to see how he’d react to the idea. This would be a chance for the two to fight together and work on getting some timing down. If Jace accepted then Ita would allow him to make the first move.

It was pretty obvious that Queen didn't actually want Ita to join them at first. Jace had picked up on that immediately and was about to tell his friend that he should come back later when the blonde girl spoke again, cutting him off before he even got the words out. It seemed she wanted to take on the two of them at once. Now he knew that Queen was good, but he didn't think she was THAT good. They were all Chuunin level ninja after all. Not only that, but Jace and Ita were both members of the Uchiha clan, the clan noted for its strength and capabilities. Still, it sounded like a great idea.

"Ok, sure." he said smiling now. He was still in his position and ready to take on the weird love interest in his life. It seemed Ita was waiting for him to make the first move. With the kunai still in his left hand, the blonde's eyes swirled and turned from their normal hazel green to the crimson of his clan's doujutsu: the sharingan. His left foot slid forward again and he reached into the weapons pouch behind him and grasped two shuriken. In one swift movement he threw the two ninja tools at his opponent(105 speed) aimed directly at her face on eye level. One only a second behind the other so that it was hard to see it clearly. 

When the shuriken were released, Jace began running(55 speed) to his left and tried to circle around her, keeping his distance set at 10 meters the entire time. He watched both the girl and Ita to see what either of them would do next. The two Uchiha had never actually worked together before and there had been no prior discussion this time on battle tactics. It was going to be a lot of improvisation and Jace only hoped the two could get their timing and combinations down quickly.

Ita’s comment was taken quite offensively by the girl. She took is as if she had been over he head with challenging the two uchiha. While this was quite possibly the case, Queen was almost positive she could take on the two, at least well enough for it to be a fair fight. She was cocky, there was no doubt about it. Either way, it seemed as though Ita was down for the challenge. When Ita glanced at Jace, Queen would do the same, as the boy seemed to agree to the challenge. The girl matched the boy’s smile with a smirk across her lips. With the jonin exams here, nothing seemed more satisfying that a challenging yet interesting fight to test her skills.

With that, it seemed Jace would be the first to react. Upon the start of the battle initiating, Queen focused her chakra intensely to her eyes in order to practice the skill she had been working on that would allow her to use her Byakugan without the physical appearance of the veins around her eyes. in a split moment, she was able to activate it just as the boy launched the kunai at her. It was a skilled moved and she expected nothing less from the uchiha boy who hid a second kunai behind the first. Swiftly pulling out the ninjato Jace had given her a year ago, Queen swiftly deflected the first shuriken while doing a quick spin on her heel towards the left to avoid the second that was close behind.

With now at around her Three o’clock and appearing to be circling her, The blonde dashed toward Ita who was at her ten o’clock at a speed of 60 with her blade in hand (right). If the boy attempted to form hand seals, Queen would pull two shuriken and launch them at the boy’s centre, one aims at the mid chest and the other at the pubic region; #SorrynotSorry. Once close enough, she would swiftly change her grip of her ninjato into a backhand one and attempt to slash the boy from right to left, aiming for his stomach at a speed of 100. Reading into the boy’s movements, Queen hopes to use this attack as an empty strike with the real attack coming in after. If the boy manage to simple block of evade without moving, she would use her momentum from the slash to quickly continue her movements onto a sweep kick at a speed of 125, hopefully knocking the boy onto his back. If he managed to evade by moving back or to the sides, Queen would reverse her grip back to normal and pushed forward with a second slash in the opposing direction at a speed of 130
