Komon sat on the rooftop of his apartment, gazing at the sky just like he had been doing the other day, he found the roof rather relaxing, and it was quickly becoming one of his favorite hangout spots, deciding today was a day for casual training Komon pulled the shinobi painter set out of his pocket, it was quite a useful tool, instead of lugging around scrolls and having to unravel them to do drawings, like shinobi used to have to. One could simply draw on their forearm, and the paper never ran out because the ink is designed to come off of the page in the ninjutsu he utilized the tool with.

Komon decided that in order to shade himself from the sun he’d use the wings of one of his paintings, so he began to slash away at the paper with his brush quickly scribbling the shape of his hawk he had studied so hard to get down. Before he manipulated the chakra he had infused into the ink in order to get it to grow, watching it as it popped off the page and formed itself into a three dimensional object, standing and twelve feet tall.

A faint smile would form across Komons mouth as he did so, this technique was quickly becoming more and more useful. With his mind he would then have the bird extend its wing upwards, blotting out the sun as he rested on his apartment roof next to the streets of the village hidden in the cloud.

Sakana Meijin had woke up after his hard day of training the day before. He wanted nothing more than to sleep all day but he knew he needed to be stronger so he pushed himself out of bed. He threw on his training clothes which was a t- shirt, shorts and his favorite sweatshirt. Sakana ate an apple for breakfast and then headed out the door.

Sakana was on his way to the training grounds. He had figured since he had spent his whole week at the lake he probably should try training at the actual training grounds that all the ninja trained at. On his walk there he saw a huge bird flapping its wings in the sky. It did not look like any ordinary bird though. Instead this bird was black and white. Actually it looked like someone had drew a bird and it came to life.

Sakana was intrigued with the bird so he started to head in its direction. As he was walking toward it he realized he was walking along the same path he took to get to Komori’s house when he had left the training request letter in his mailbox. And sure enough as he got closer the bird was above Komori’s house. Sakana did not remember Komori telling him about any huge ink birds so he wondered where the bird came from.

Sakana knocked on the door of the house. There was no answer. Sakana was not just going to go home so he called out. “Komori, are you home?” When there was no reply he then yelled a little louder, “Is anyone home?”

The sudden voice that seemed to be coming down from below him startled him, he had been almost on the verge of a nap afterall, and the sudden change in volume was alarming to say the least. He groaned as he got up knowing Komori wasn’t home, and that it would be rude to not answer the voice. As he walked across the roof he began to wonder who the voice may belong to. It sounded vaguely familiar but he couldn’t quite place it. However as he peered over the ledge of the roof looking down at the blue haired gennin he would put the pieces together.

“That Meijin kid?” He thought to himself as he recognized the boy. “What was his name? Sockana? Sawkara? No sakana… That's it” He continued thinking, he had only met the boy briefly but remembered komori saying he had helped him out a little bit.

Now he would take it upon himself to answer the boy. “Komori Isn't home, are you looking for him? What do you want?” He’d say as he hopped off the roof and directed the bird to fly into the sky before dissolving it so as not to waste chakra.

“My names Komon by the way, we’ve met but I’m not sure you got my name”

Once Sakana saw him peer over the building he remembered the person. His name ws Komon and he was Komori’s twin brother. They were identical except for the fact that Komon had white eyes and Komori did not. Sakana had met Komon a while ago when he was walking through the woods and Komon was throwing knives through trees. That was also the day he had meet Hitori. He remembered on that day he had learned Chakra infusion from Komon.

After remembering who Komon was Sakana realized he had been asked a question and probably should answer it. “Yeah I remember you.” Sakana said in low tone, that even though he did not intend it to be probably sounded rude. “

Sakana watched as the bird dissolved in the sky. The bird dissolved in a similar way to Sakana’s water clones and he wondered if it the bird was some sort of summoning or clone technique. Sakana figured he would never learn anything by just guessing and assuming where the bird came from so he had to ask Komon. “Hey Komon, where did that bird thing come from? I saw it on my way to the training ground and wanted to check it out and that is how i ended up here talking to you.”

So the gennin remembered him. At least there was that, leaving a lasting impression on people was probably a good trait to have in the shinobi world. Then he watched as the blue haired boy’s gaze followed his bird dissolving in the sky, he seemed to be rather interested in the technique, at least that's what his facial expressions let on. And sure enough seconds later the curiosity in his voice would prove Komon’s theory was correct. Sakana asked him where the bird came from, and said that was the reason at the door. “So he thought the jutsu belonged to Komori I guess?” He thought to himself before he answered.

“Uuuuuh that? That’s the super beast imitating technique, basically I infuse ink with chakra and then manipulate it to bring my drawings to life, right now the hawks the only one I’ve got down but I’m working on it.” He would say while rubbing the back of his head, he often did so when he was explaining himself. He figured he should follow up with his next response so he decided to address the boys curiosity and invite him to learn the technique.

“Why are you interested in learning how to do it?” He’d say, wondering how the meijin would respond. He was a chuunin now, and it was basically his job to ensure that the youth of the village where at least subpar in combat, this technique would go a long way for him.

Sakana watched Komon as he was crafting his reply to Sakana in his head. Sakana waited patiently as the ink hawk was the whole reason why he was at Komon’s house after all. Once Komon began to speak Sakana started to listen intently. Komon explained that the giant hawk that Sakana had been so fascinated with was merely made out of Komon’s chakra. Komon explained that he had infused his chakra with his ink and he was able to make different drawings. The only drawing Komon was able to make at this time was the giant hawk. Sakana was never too fond of hawks because he did not really like things that flew but it was a very cool jutsu none the less.

Sakana was surprised to hear what came out of Komon’s mouth next. Komon had offered to teach Sakana the painting skill and maybe even how to draw the hawk. Sakana was not sure how to respond to Komon. On one hand Sakana had thought himself to be a terrible drawer, but he figured that learning how to draw and infuse his chakra with the ink to make it come to life sounded really cool. And the more he was thinking about it the more he wanted to learn to draw the giant hawk. After about a minute or so of thinking of a reply to say to Komon, Sakana decided that he did want to learn how to draw and infuse his chakra.

A new problem arose for Sakana, he decided to tell Komon what issues he had. “Yeah Komon, I think I want to learn how to do what you did, but we have a small problem, I do not have any drawing tools or any place to draw at.” Sakana said kinda upset that he might not be able to learn this technique after all. He awaited for Komon’s reply.

The problem wasn’t that hard to solve, Komon thought as he unstrapped the shinobi painter set, and reached for the finger brush in his pocket, “Here you can have mine, I’ll just buy a new one later” where the words that would come out of his mouth as he finished unlacing the device, “This is a shinobi painter set, basically it holds the paper in place on your forearm, and turns your finger into a paintbrush that automatically dispenses ink with this” He’d say as he held up the small attachment that fit on the end of his finger, the material was designed to shrink or fit all sizes of fingers.

As he handed the gear over to sakana he smiled and began to explain the technique. “So I know you were there when me and senshi where teaching hitori and komori chakra infusion, the technique basically works the same as that. When your drawing infuse your brush and ink with chakra and as you draw it’ll spread your chakra throughout the drawing so that you can manipulate, for now let's just focus on you making the drawing leap of the page though, It’ll be much simpler than creating a bird. I want you to draw a line and try to make it pop off.”

As Komon finished his sentence he’d watch the gennin that wanted to learn the technique and inspect his method, so that he would be able to give any pointers if he noticed any errors. “You can start now” He’d say encouraging the boy to start.

Sakana’s problem was fixed buy Komon. The gennin’s face lit up with excitement and gratitude once he processed what Komon said next. Komon had taken his painter set off his forearm and he gave it to Sakana. Sakana then slipped the tool and his arm like he had seen it on Komon’s arm. The device changed to fit his arm as it was a different size than Komon’s arm.

Sakana then had to actually use the painter set. He set some paper on the ground and remembered what Komon told him. His finger had now been turned into a paintbrush that could draw with ink. Sakana placed his finger on the paper and started to draw a line. As Sakana was drawing he performed the chakra infusion technique to place his chakra into the ink. Once the ink set in the paper it quickly jumped off because it was infused with Sakana’s chakra. Sakana had learned how to paint.

Sakana realized that it was getting late and he should probably go home. Sakana turned to Komon and thanked him for the painter set. He explained that he had to get on his way home but he would come back soon to learn to draw the hawk. Sakana then left and went home.

Super Beast Imitating Drawing

Komon smiled as the boy thanked him for teaching him the technique and giving him the shinobi painter set. “It’s no problem really, I’ve come into a decent amount of money from my missions and they aren’t expensive at all” Just put it to good use ok? He’d say before saying goodbye as well and returning to his spot on the roof, once more taking cover from the sun under his birds wings.
