Re: Wedding Planning 101

Valen would sit next to Nano during the ceremony, he had seen the kid use that powerful fire technique earlier and he was honestly impressed. He could certainly see the potential in his fellow genin. That didn’t matter at the moment though, right now all that mattered was the ceremony. Valen looked up to the altar to watch the quick and simple ceremony take place.
I take you as you are, loving who you are now and who you are yet to become. I promise to listen to you and learn from you, to support you and accept your support. I will celebrate your triumphs and mourn your losses as though they were my own. I will love you and have faith in your love for me, through all our years and all that life may bring us.
It was at this point that an Valen heard an odd thing. "Weak.." It would sound like, the word being carried on the wind as a whisper. He would shake his head at the sound and brush it off as hearing things. After all he was surrounded by people and experienced shinobi, someone would've heard it to. "You're too weak.." He would hear more clearly. He would look around, confused, eyes wide and panicked as he tried to figure out where the noise had come from.
I love you unconditionally and without hesitation. I vow to love you, encourage you, trust you, and respect you. As a family, we will create a home filled with learning, laughter, and compassion. I promise to work with you to foster and cherish a relationship of equality knowing that together we will build a life far better than either of us could imagine alone. Today, I choose you to be my wife. I accept you as you are, and I offer myself in return. I will care for you, stand beside you, and share with you all of life’s adversities and all of its joys from this day forward, and all the days of my life.
"They'll all so weak, but you could be so much stronger..." There it was again. Calin had just decided that the voice had gone when it had been a minute into the vows. It seemed to want his attention. He schooled his emotions quickly, his mind however was running a mile a minute as it tried to sort out what the voice could be. Was he going insane? Certainly not if he had the forethought to ask. Obviously no one else could hear it...It had been quiet for a bit longer now, had it gone?
Today I promise you this: I will laugh with you in times of joy, and comfort you in times of sorrow. I will share in your dreams and support you as you strive to achieve your goals. I will listen to you with compassion and understanding, and speak to you with encouragement. Together, let us build a home filled with learning, laughter and light, shared freely with all who may live there. Let us be partners, friends and lovers, today and all of the days that follow.
"You could have the strength to kill them all if you would simply take it." There it was for a third time..Was it trying to teach him something? Could it be some insidious mental attack from a jutsu? What in the world could this voice be? It obviously respected strength, and saw him as being weak. This was true of course, but he was still a fresh genin. What could some random voice in his head do that he couldn't do while training? After all it wouldn't make sense unless it was some kind of attack.
This was getting ridiculous, where was this voice coming from? He could feel his breathing getting heaver and sweat starting to form on his brow as he began to hear what sounded like cackling around him, as if some power entity was playing with him. His mind began to roam and mental images began to flash across his mind as he closed his eyes to try and stop them. They wouldn't quit coming though, they were relentless. Images of a loving family, a forge, the sound and smell of the metal being worked into what could only be called true works of art. The images began to move faster and faster through his mind. He thought somewhere he stood up to get some air, but it seemed he was wrong. What was this thing? What was happening to him and why now all of a sudden?
Do you, Alex promise to be a loving friend and partner in marriage, to talk and to listen, to trust and appreciate, to respect and cherish Sam's uniqueness? Do you promise to support, comfort, and strengthen him through life’s joys and sorrows? Do you promise to share hopes and dreams as you build your lives together, and to grow with Sam in mind? Will you strive to build a home that is compassionate to all, full of respect and honour, filled with peace, happiness, and love? Do you promise to always be open and honest with Sam, and cherish him for as long as you both shall live? -Priest
I, Alex take you, Sam to be my husband. I promise to always be your biggest fan and your partner in crime. I promise to create and support a family with you, in a household filled with laughter, patience, understanding, and love. I vow not just to grow old together, but to grow together. I will love you faithfully through the difficult and the easy. What may come, I will always be there, each one believing that love never dies. As I have given you my hand to hold, so I give you my life to keep.
The voice had stopped it se-"Come claim my strength, no one else can, come claim my power, and kill all those that stand in your way" It appears he was wrong. What could this voice be? There would be no reason for anyone or anything to attack him mentally, he had no real standing. So why was it calling to him? Whatever 'it' was? He briefly wondered if it could hear him. 'Can you hear me?..' He'd think out, shaking and terrified. Wondering if the now much stronger voice could hear his thoughts.
I, Alex, take you Sam to be the husband of my days, the companion of my house, the friend of my life. We shall bear together whatever trouble and sorrow life may lay upon us, and we shall share together whatever good and joyful things life may bring us. With these words, and all the words of my heart, I marry you and bind my life to yours.
I, Alex, choose you Sam to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, trusting what things I will discover. I will respect you as a person, a partner, and an equal. There is little to say that you haven’t already heard, and little to give that is not already freely given. Before you asked me, I was yours and I am devoted to you in every way. I marry you with no hesitation or doubt, and my commitment to you is absolute. Do you take me to be your lawfully wedded wife?
I choose you. To stand by your side and sleep in your arms. To be joy to your heart and food for your soul. To learn with you and grow with you, even as time and life change us both. I promise to laugh with you in good times and struggle alongside you in bad times. I promise to respect you and cherish you as an individual, a partner, and an equal, knowing that we do not complete, but complement each other. May we have many adventures and grow old together.
"Yeees" It would respond in a satisfied voice, as if the contact it had been trying to establish had finally been made. "Yes, I can hear you young one, you are weak, compared to those around you. But come to me, in the desert, you know where to go instinctively. Come here and claim me for yourself, and you will begin the path toward being strong. I can help you kill your enemies, and defend your loved ones." It would tell the very startled Valen as he nodded his head softly. This had to be some sort of prank, he'd ignore it for now. After all it's not like the damn thing could hurt him. Whoever it was controlling the jutsu would get bored soon enough.
Today, surrounded by people who love us, I choose you Sam to be my partner. I am proud to be your wife and to join my life with yours. I vow to support you, push you, inspire you, and above all love you, for better or worse, in sickness and health, for richer or poorer, as long as we both shall live.
That was it, it had to be a prank right? He would ask himself trying to keep the frantic gleam out of his eye. It was safe to say that his composure had shattered and he was barely keeping it hidden from the people around him. His breathing became labored and he became light headed and dizzy as more and more images assaulted him viciously over and over again. He fought the urge to reach for his head and squeeze it, he couldn't draw attention or he'd ruin the ceremony, he'd fail the mission. Images of the loving family he saw before, only the wife and kids brutally murdered. A howl of pain and rage into a rainy sky and the rush of power as chakra flooded his veins. It all seemed so real but he knew it wasn't.
I, Alex, do pledge you, Sam, my love, for as long as I live. What I possess in this world, I give to you. I will keep you and hold you, comfort and tend you, protect you and shelter you, for all the days of my life. -Sam
He would quickly perform the ram hand seal and be miles away with the body flicker technique before anyone even noticed he was gone. He would appear a few miles from the village, safe from prying eyes as he fell to his knees and puked. The images swam through his mind again, the raw anger and hatred being fused with metal and chakra, the fine, minute details of a weapon that could easy have a place in legend. The depraved anger and thirst for revenge as the blade cut through the creators tormentors, butchering them like sheep. The steep relief as he stuck the sword in the ground and left it forever, it's purpose fulfilled. Something else tugged at his mind, the feeling of immense loneliness. Something was out there, angry, power crazed, and alone. It had been out there for a very long time. He decided he would claim whatever power this was. If he could master that weapon he'd seen, which at this point he assumed was the source of the voice. He would step into history and leave a legacy.
As these thoughts flew through his head he could've sworn he heard a dark chuckling in the back of his mind and a sense of satisfaction as a pull toward the southwest direction of the desert came into his mind. 'Not yet, I'm not prepared for the journey..' He would chide the voice, now seeing it as another entity seeking a companion. 'It will also be night soon, as it is ill advised to travel alone at night especially in a place where the sands can swallow you whole.' He would continue as he turned toward the village and home 'I'll leave in the morning, surely you can wait until then yes?' He'd finish with a small smirk on his face, he felt better now. He would go claim this weapon, and become a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
