The Wedding of the Century!

“200 ryo, now take it and get out. We don’t need your kind here.” The rude man in charge of the general store would say, almost glaring at Shin as The Assassin paid him. The man practically snatched the ryo from the counter, ensuring he counted it thrice over before giving Shin one final sneer and skuling off into the stores back room
Well then, it seemed the people that made up this town really didn’t like outsiders… meh, it meant very little to him in the end, this little town was barely a blip on any maps, it wasn’t as though it was somewhere that he intended to visit. From the looks of them they probably fucked their goats anyways, so the sooner he could get out of here the better. As he was reaching the exit of the town he heard something he had hoped never to hear again, the voice of the doddering old woman that he had escorted here.
“Lad! Lad! Wait!” She would call, causing the man to release a silent sigh and stop. Lords above what was with his luck today.
“Lad! I have another job for you! Please. My idiot nephew forgot to send Miku’s dowry to Ren’s family! I need you to run back to the town we first met to deliver it! Please lad, if this dowry doesn’t reach them by sundown my family will look like a bunch of oathbreakers!” She would explain in an extremely hurried manner, tears in her eyes as she explained… something that would earn a small smirk and a nod from the easygoing man.
“Here! Please take this and hurry, when you reach the town you MUST deliver this to the Katsuki family.” She would say, offering him a large roll of ryo. With a small and sweet smile Shin would take the money, and the woman would wipe away some stray tears with a relieved look on her face
“Thank you so much lad, I will never forget this kindness, that I swear.” She would say as he departed from the town, moving at a relatively fast speed in the direction he had first arrived from. Once he had travelled roughly 500m and was out of sight he would come to a stop and retrieve a map from his pouch. After some studying he would put the map away, and step off of the road itself and start to move… and within ten minutes he was on another road… a road that would lead him directly to Sunagakure.
The town in question was, quite literally, in the opposite direction of Sunagakure, so he had absolutely no intention of helping fix this screw up… and besides, it wasn’t like this town had endeared itself to him in the least. The dowry itself must have been around 1,000 ryo, and while that wasn’t much to him… he had no doubt it was a monumental sum for a pair of towns as small as theirs. Heh, whatever, the money was his now, and he couldn’t give less of a fuck that he had just likely doomed that families reputation and ruined this wedding. They would likely never see him again, and he doubted that anyone aside from the older woman would remember his face… and she looked like she had a year or so left in the tank, at most. And who knows, maybe he would get lucky and the stress of this would take her out of the picture even faster.
With a slight skip to his step he would continue on his way towards Sunagakure, his mood lightening as his pouch got heavier.
