Training Taijutsu (LIKE A BEAST) Empty Training Taijutsu (LIKE A BEAST)

Sun Mar 19, 2017 1:49 pm
Akemi woke up with a start, he couldn't tell why, but he felt like it was time for him to train as hard as he could, today, he would learn lots of things. Deciding to test how fast he was he pushed his bed covers off himself, launching it into the air. He wanted to see if he could get changed before it landed, he probably couldn't but who knows, it would be cool if he could. Once the sheets were pushed into the air he hurriedly got out of bed and took out his clothes from the draw, at this point the bed sheets had just reached the peak and were starting to fall down. He pulled of his pyjamas and put on his t-shirt and jeans, at this point the bed sheets where about 7/8 of the way down. Dammit He thought. He was still pretty impressed with himself, being a Hiyu granted him loads of strength and reaction time, something that he needed loads of if he wanted to be a close range fighter.

He realised that if he wanted to be a close range fighter he would need someway to deal with long-range chakra attacks, though he left that thought, he wasn't going to be fighting anyone yet! He put the rest of his clothes on. His usual grey baggy jumper and blue scarf. Quickly brushing his teeth he grabbed a couple bottles of water and a few apples and left the house. That was when he remembered that he had forgotten the jutsu scrolls he had gotten yesterday. Quickly opening the door again he grabbed up 3 scrolls and slung them over his shoulder, leaving the house for the second time. He didn't know where he would be going, hopefully somewhere quiet where he wouldn't be seen or heard practicing. He walked through the empty streets, seeing groggy eyed shop owners setting up their shops.

Akemi always woke up early, it was because he could get out and do things before the majority of the people woke up. Continuing to move through the streets he eventually found a secluded forest to the side of Hoshi. He stepped inside, using a Kunai to clear a path through the densely packed woods and eventually found himself in a small clearing in the middle of the woods. He smiled to himself, no one would find him here unless they were actively searching for him, and considering Akemi had no friends, no one would find him. He stepped into the middle of the clearing he unpacked all his supplies and laid them down. The 5 red apples, the 10 bottles of water and the 3 scrolls. Akemi doubted that 5 apples would last him the day, but it wouldn't hurt to get as much as he could.

He rubbed his hands together, it was time to train. He started stretching and doing light jogs around the clearing. He had realised when he was little that training without warming up first had really hurt, and probably wouldn't have been good for him in the long run. As he ran he pulled out three Kunai from his pouch and chucked them towards a tree and was pleased to see all of them hit where he wanted them to. Ever since he was a kid he had loved chucking weapons, he hoped someday that he would be able to curve weapons dramatically and be able to confuse opponents, though that was still beyond him.

After he stopped running he collected the Kunai out of the tree and replaced them back into his weapons pouch. He felt like he was warmed up now. Now it was time for the good stuff. He went to the middle of the clearing and picked up one of the Taijutsu scrolls. He unfurled it and began to read. The move was called "Wind Strike" and it seemed like it fit him perfectly. Akemi was a taijutsu user and he had wind element. It was definitely going to be fun to learn. Before doing anything that required chakra he decided it would be best to practice the movements of the technique first.

He got into stance and started punching and kicking in rapid succession. Imagining an enemy in front of him. The wind strike technique didn't seem to have any specific way to strike, which meant it could be used in many different ways. Akemi realised he could use this with any kind of punch or kick, such as a jab or an uppercut. Akemi loved things to be versatile, maybe it was why he thought the idea of the Hiyu bloodline was so amazing. He continued to practice the different punches and kicks, imagining in his mind what the increased power and speed from the technique would do to change them.

After punching and kicking for a few more minutes he decided it was time to actually try to add chakra to them. He put his hands into the correct seals Ram-Rat and felt his chakra mold. He then started to channel the wind chakra into his fist. Though, according to the technique, there was supposed to be a small breeze forming around his fist, but he could see nor feel anything. Letting the wind chakra die down he mulled over what he could be doing wrong. Was he not using enough chakra? Slowly he let his hands perform the seals for the technique Rat-Ram and this time, pushed more chakra into his hands, feeling the breeze circling his hands he walked up to a tree and punched it.

He yelped in surprise when his fist traveled harder and faster than usual and smashed right through the tree, causing it to smash to the ground with a large THUMP. He stood there, fist still in the air. Loads of people were guaranteed to have heard that, would anyone mind about this tree? He had done it completely by accident, surely there must be loads of jutsu mistakes, especially in a ninja village. After going through different scenarios in his head he felt a little bit calmer, there was no point in panicking. If anyone where to tell Akemi off, he would just tell them the truth and hopefully he wouldn't get more calmer.

On the bright side he had semi-learnt the technique, he just felt like it could be stronger. No more punching trees he thought. Performing the hand seals again he imagined an opponent opposite him and him punching it right in the face. He noticed how much stronger and faster he felt when he used the technique, he liked it. He would have to get better at performing the hand seals though, and finding out better ways to incorporate the wind into punches and kicks.

Now all he had to do was practice the technique with kicks. His hands ran through the hand seals Rat-Ram and he directed the chakra to his foot this time, before kicking it out. Almost throwing himself in the direction he kicked because of the sheer momentum. I'm going to have to get better at controlling the power he thought. Hands cycling through the hand seals again he directed chakra into his fist and did a quick jab, almost getting controlled by the momentum but managing to stop himself last second.

Still need a bit more practice he thought. I am getting better at controlling the momentum, but if i let it control me it could be the end of me in a fight. Settling into stance, yet again, he breathed, being calm was always important to learning things efficiently. He wanted to try and use the jutsu in an actual fight setting. So he imagined an opponent across the clearing from him, them both settling into stance. He ran at the imaginary opponent, and started pretending to hit it. Moving gracefully, as if it was an actual fight. He kicked the imaginary opponent and while the opponent was in the air he performed the two hand seals and felt the wind chakra envelop his hand.

Then he quickly thrust his hand forwards, making his opponent sail through the air, but still making his body continue with the momentum. Making him fall face first into the ground. He sighed, not even bothering to get up, this technique was really difficult. He decided now would be a good time to take a little break and eat and apple and drink some water. He pushed himself up and walked into the center of the clearing, picking up the apple he ate it extremely quickly. He was hungrier than he thought, it was probably because he skipped out on breakfast. He then picked up the water and drank it all without breathing.

He chucked the apple core into the woods and placed the water bottle back in the center of the clearing. Feeling rejuvenated he settled back into stance and formed the hand seals Rat-Ram and pushed chakra into his hands. Thrusting his hands forward with incredible speed and power, aiming to punch his imaginary opponent in the face. This time, he was sure to regulate his momentum, making it stop before he lost his balance. He smiled, he had learnt his first offensive taijutsu move.

Now, it was time to learn a second one, hopefully it wouldn't be as hard as the first. He picked up the second scroll and opened and began to read it. It was a taijutsu move called "Chain Fist" and it seemed to be similar to the "Inside To Outside Block" with the same basic principles as the closed hand and open hand, so it shouldn't be to hard to learn. The technique seemed to leave a lasting effect on the opponent, lowering their defences for a short while, that would be incredibly useful, especially against someone who is incredibly durable, and since Akemi was gearing up to be incredibly strong, if he lowered someones defences it would make his attacks that much more devastating.

He read the scroll one last time and put it back down, time to start the practical stuff. That was when he realised, he probably looked like an idiot by punching the air, though no one would see him so he should be fine. He imagined an opponent opposite him and he ran towards the opponent, releasing a flurry of punches in quick succession at his opponent. As he did this he recalled the instructions to perform the chain fist. It was a quick volley of strikes, not unlike what he was doing now, that he could perform closed handed for more strength or open handed for more speed.

He decided he would try and learn the closed fist first, he breathed and closed his fists before he started rolling his hands in a straight line, all aiming directly for the imaginary opponent in front of him. As he did this he noticed that it was sloppy and unrefined, any person half decent at Taijutsu could dodge his strikes. He stopped the combo and let out the breath he had been holding. He realised that he had been training for a few hours and it was now lunch time, his belly rumbled as if to tell him how hungry he was. He realised that the apples would not be enough to fill him up so he decided he would go to a nearby cafe.

Picking up the chain fist scroll, he left the clearing and journeyed back through the dense woods. After he made his way out he slung the scroll over his shoulder and he headed inside the cafe. He sat down inside and started reading the scroll again. After about five minutes of waiting a waiter appeared at his table and asked him what he would like for lunch.

"I'l have a coffee, 4 pieces of toast and some tomato soup please." Akemi replied, the waiter nodded and took his menu away. After ordering he lent over the table and continued to read the scroll. He noted how he somehow wasn't tired or sweaty after that rigorous training session, that was definitely proof that he was getting stronger. As he read the scroll he tried to pick up on what he had missed the first time around, the technique said that all movements during the technique must be used to make the technique stronger, not wasting and moment or energy.

Eventually his food came and he graciously thanked the waiter before starting to greedily devour the toast, he was starving. The bread was gone in mere moments and then Akemi set his site on the warm, creamy soup . You're next he thought before grabbing a spoon and plunging it deep into the bowl, scooping out the delicious soupy goodness and shoveling it into his mouth. He continued doing this until he had a clean bowl. He breathed a sigh of satisfaction, That was tasty he thought. He shovelled out a few spare ryo coins onto the counter and left the shop, feeling satisfied with his meal.

Now it's time to finish up and head back home for the day! He headed back into the clearing and started doing stretches and light jogs again. He didn't want to get a stitch and he needed to work off the food anyway. When he felt like he had warmed up enough he got up and settled into a stance. He imagined an opponent opposite him and he decided to continue trying to learnt the closed fist variant. He breathed slowly and  started rolling his fists in a straight line, trying to get the movement perfect, not wasting any valuable energy. But alas, after about 5 minutes of continuously rolling his fists he felt quite tired.

Okay, lets try that again he thought. This time he imagined an opponent running towards him and aiming to punch Akemi in the face. He used the inside to outside block against the opponent, setting him up perfectly for the chain fist. He began rolling his fists in a circle, punching straight at the opponent as he did this, definitely lowering the opponents guard and dazing him. After the Opponent was hit by multiple chain fists Akemi's hands quickly formed two hand seals and he filled his hand with wind chakra before punching the opponent right in the face.

He had done it, Akemi had learnt two strong taijutsu techniques. Though, there were still many more techniques he could learn. He would have to decide one either quality or quantity. Akemi liked to be versatile, and easily adapt to any situation. So he decided on Quantity, though, Akemi was not a fast learner, in fact, he was incredibly slow at learning. The only reason he had breezed through the academy like it was nothing was because of all the training he had done in his earlier life. If he hadn't done all that training he would probably still be in the academy now.

With a smile on his face he collected the three scrolls off the floor and packed up the water and apples, though keeping an apple out so he could eat it while he walked. As he walked through the streets of Hoshi he looked around, noting that everyone was starting to pack up. At this point it was early evening and Akemi's muscles felt incredibly sore, though he knew that was a good thing. The sorer your muscles are, the stronger you'll be when they heal.

Eventually he made it to his apartment and he walked inside, took off his shoes, and collapsed into his bed. Next morning he would try and learn a technique he had read about called the "Seven Heavens Breathing Method" It seemed amazing. Akemi definitely needed some kind of booster.

Training Taijutsu (LIKE A BEAST) Empty Re: Training Taijutsu (LIKE A BEAST)

Sun Mar 19, 2017 3:52 pm
After falling asleep for a few hours Akemi had awoken after a night mare around 3 am. He lay in his dark room, still recovering from the panic of the nightmare he had had. It had been of the bullies who had laid waste to him all those years ago, the sense of helplessness and despair still haunted him, it was one of the main reasons he trained, so he wouldn't feel that sensation again.

Deciding that he wouldn't get anymore sleep tonight he took off the covers and swiftly got dressed into his usual attire. Stepping out of his bedroom he gazed around his shady apartment, enjoying the darkness and the light of the moon filtering through his curtains. He walked into his kitchen, his footsteps echoing around the empty apartment, nothing could be heard apart from the slight panicked breath from Akemi and his footsteps. He enjoyed the silence, it was his alone time and no one would come to disrupt him.

In the kitchen he started boiling water and washing a mug. Once the water was boiled he poured it into the mug and put a tea bag inside, for some reason Akemi always felt more awake when he drank tea. After casually staring into space and taking the odd sip of tea he decided he might as well make the most of the night by learning a few more techniques. Putting the mug aside he opened the window and quietly slipped out, jumping across the rooftops towards the library using chakra suppression all the way.

Once he made it to the library he silently slipped into the window, and started reading a scroll on a basic wind release. After reading the scroll several times and committing it to memory he placed it back into the slot he had taken it from and slipped out the library window, closing it behind him.

He jumped on top of a nearby reading and started remembering the technique. It was one of the most simple wind jutsu he could find, called "Wind arrow". What was cool about the technique was the fact that it didn't require any handseals. However, the downside to this was the fact that the arrows formed extremely slowly and weren't very powerful. Having remembered everything about the technique he stood up and help his hand out, his hand partially closed.

He closed his eyes and imagined his chakra coming out of his fingers and condensing into a hard, sharp arrow. He felt his chakra start pooling out of his palm and he started to shape the chakra into the intended shape and started to feel quite excited about the fact that he was starting to feel something solid in his hand. After a few more moments of pooling the chakra out of his hand he felt like it had reached max solidness and he opened his eyes.

He couldn't see the arrow, but he could feel it, certainly something that would be quite useful down the line. Holding the arrow like a Kunai he curled his hand towards his chest and moved his arm and wrist at the same time, flicking the arrow at high speeds towards a concrete wall, embedding it in the concrete. He smiled, looks like he had made the night productive after all. He then turned around and started heading back towards his apartment, intending to spend the rest of the night reading up on the Seven Heavens jutsu.

Once he made it back he pulled out the Seven Heavens scroll and carried on reading it, he found it amazing. The fact that someone could breath and increase their strength and speed was quite cool. Especially for someone so weak like Akemi. Although he didn't like to admit it, he still was quite weak and unskilled compared to some of the other Genin of Hoshi. He was hoping that the seven heavens would allow him to close that power gap, he just needed to find someway to get more skilled.

Akemi had a theory that fights revolved around who could outwit their opponent, not who could out-power their opponent. There where probably several academy students who could probably destroy Akemi at the moment, and he didn't really like to think like that. That was why he would need to find a way to get more skilled, the only way he could think was to actually fight people. Though, the thought of actually going up to someone and asking them for a spar was quite scary, and something he wouldn't want to do, unless he had ran out of options.

Until then however, he would just train as hard as he could, so he will never feel helpless again. With that thought Akemi rolled up the scroll and put it back into his shelf before getting back into his pyjamas and climbing back into bed, sleeping like a baby for the rest of the night.
