Catching a pack of thieves, Mission (P)

Ryuzaki had been given his second mission ever and he was excited about this one as he actually got to do something action wise, there was a thief or possibly thieves in the area that had been robbing the civilians in the area. The mission description was unsure whether or not these thieves were civilians as well or if they were trained, Ryuzaki didn't care either way as he wanted to do something worth doing finally, he hadn't had a chance to test out his strength since getting stronger. Ryuzaki wasn't exactly sure how to go about things at the moment because it wasn't like he could just go around asking people if they were the thieves, he knew the relative area where the thieves were so he figured he could start there. Today he was wearing a dark green shirt with billowy sleeves as he could hide his weapons more easily up them, his weapon pouches were placed on his back, his headband tied around his waist showing off that he truly was a ninja of kumogakure.

Amber colored eyes looked around the neighborhood that he found himself in but he didn't see anything suspicious at the moment, figures he wouldn't but it was worth a quick look around so he decided to find himself a tea shop to sit down and seem more inconspicuous. He sat down near the front looking at the buildings around him while sipping at his warm tea, the time seemed to go by so slowly as he watched the building calmly, maybe they'd show up at night instead?. The person who gave him the mission hadn't really said when they were striking as that bit was unclear, some claimed they had been robbed in the day and others claimed that they had been robbed at night time, both had their advantages and disadvantages so Ryu figured he would just have to stake out the houses for a while to figure out when the thief or thieves were striking. He had gone through three cups of tea over an hour before someone finally did something suspicious, there was a dark clothed person at the edge of a window near a building seeming to be messing with it.

Ryu shot up from his chair and pointed at the person for others to notice "stop right there!" he growled out as he began charging towards the person, telling someone never seemed to work before and now it naturally did not as the person at the window immediately took off without even looking at Ryu. Ryu humphed in frustration as he chased the figure down the alley, the dark clothed figure leaped over a wooden wall surprisingly easy and Ryu did the same, while in the air he spotted them running out of the alley into the main street. Ryu pursued and nearly ran into someone else, his amber colored eyes looking in every direction for the figure, he managed to spot them about fifty feet away trying to blend in with the crowd and failing. "Gotcha!" he called out before jumping as he applied the surface walking technique in mid air so he could stick to the sides of the buildings and avoid the crowd. He could feel a lot of eyes on him as he chased the thief down yet he didn't care in this moment, he was gaining on the dark clothed figure rather quickly so they cut down another alley causing Ryu to have to jump across the street.

Ryuzaki ran into the alley and spotted them quickly pursuing once again, it seemed while the thief was pretty speedy he wsn't fast enough to outrun Ryu in a head on race, Ryu was nearly on him and reaching out with his hand to grab the shirt that the thief was wearing. However as he tried to pull back on the cloth he felt no resistance as the thief shrugged off the dark brown jacket so he could get away, Ryu threw it into the ground before closing the distance again. Suddenly the thief turned into another part of the alley and just as Ryu turned the corner he came to a stop, there was nothing here but a dead end!, what the hell?, Ryu's eyes began scanning the dead end for places that the thief could have gone but he wasn't finding anything. After a few minutes Ryu stepped on a part of the ground that let out a soft thud and echo of a sound, that wasn't solid rock at all, it was wood!, Ryu didn't bother looking for a way to pull the hidden door open normally instead he punched his fist through the thin layer of rock and wood. He pulled the door open with raw strength and found that this was a hatch into an old sewer system, these thieves must be using them to get all over the village Ryu thought to himself as he stuck his head down to look.

Ryu didn't dare go into the old sewer system in order to look for the thief he had just been chasing as he had no idea what could be waiting for him and he could easily get lost in the labyrinth of tunnels down there, instead he decided that he was going to wait again. However this time he was going to wait and now he knew what he was looking for if this kind of situation happened again, Ryu went to staking out the area until the day passed into night, he figured no one would be coming after his little stunt so he kept waiting keeping himself hidden from sight. It was an incredibly boring day but it was worth it in the end as the dark clothed person returned and this time they brought a friend, Ryu smiled to himself as he watched them fiddling with a window to get into the house and he waited until they were actually inside before moving. This time he wanted them completely surprised when he showed up so he crept up very quietly and entered the window after a bit while they were doing their looting.

Ryu's eyes adjusted to the darkness rather quickly and he spotted them moving swiftly and quietly searching around the place for the valuables, Ryu decided now was the time to deal with this, he leaped over a couch and tackled the dark clothed person to the ground. "Not gonna let you get away this time", Ryu practically spat at the person who was struggling underneath him, he should have been paying more attention to both of them rather than just one as the second one delivered a heavy push kick to the side of Ryu's head. The actual kick didn't do much to hurt Ryu but it did push him off the first thief and onto the ground, "you son of a bitch!", Ryu scrambled to his feet just as the two thieves were taking off out the window with the loot that they had managed to get before Ryu came along. Ryu moved a bit faster than they expected though as he grabbed onto the bag of loot and pulled the second thief in while the first one kept moving along even as the second called out "help me!!!!".

The second thief didn't get to say much else as Ryu suddenly slammed his fist down hard into the man's head, his head thumped off the wooden floor and the man's body went still as he fell into the blackness of unconsciousness. Ryu didn't waste anymore time on this thief as they wouldn't be waking up any time soon so he dove out the window after the first thief, he caught sight of them turning out of the alley and he shot off like an arrow using the body flicker technique this time. The thief barely had to time to gasp in surprise as Ryu appeared a few feet from them, they ran into the alley across the street with Ryu in hot pursuit yet suddenly they ducked while they were running and that confused Ryuzaki. Before he could think about what they were doing he felt himself slam into something hard and thin, it caught him up under the chin causing him to spin almost backwards before falling to the ground. It was a bunch of steel wires put together and painted black so they blended in with the darkness of the alley, sneaky bunch of pricks Ryu thought to himself as he got up and tore the wire down before throwing it into a bin.

He might have lost the dark clothed one but he had the other one knocked out at the house so he made his way back there, they were exactly where he left them and he grabbed him pulling the man out of the building via the window. He dragged him about a block away before lifting him up and shaking him rather vigorously to wake the man up, the man tried to struggle at first but when he realized that Ryu's grip was like steel compared to his he stopped and looked down at the young man in a scared way. "Don't care about your name, why you did it, one time offer tell me who your partner is and I'll see if we can't work out a deal for you", Ryu went straight to the point yet the man said nothing to him. Ryu sighed lightly before placing the man on his feet and then thief seemed to think this meant Ryu wasn't going to do anything but he was so very wrong, Ryu moved suddenly grabbing the man's hand by the middle finger and wrenching it around and then upwards.

There was a nasty crunch and crack sound as Ryu bent the man's finger all the way to the back of his hand, at first it didn't register because the movement had been so quick to the man but as the pain flood his brain he fell to his knees clutching at his hand. "Deal is gone now but unless you want me to break another finger tell me their name", Ryu spoke down to the man, at first it seemed like even with the pain and threat he wouldn't say anything yet as Ryu reached for his hand again the man yelled out "okay okay". The man moved back as if that would stop Ryu from doing anything to him, the man told Ryu the name of the partner and where they worked, apparently the first thief was a woman and worked at a small ceramic store a few blocks from here. Ryu then escorted the man to the proper authorities, when they asked about his broken finger Ryu merely smiled and said "caught it on the window trying to escape", before he left without worrying about what the thief would say to them.

Now Ryu could have gone to the first thief's home now that he knew her name but that wasn't enough, after the shit she pulled on him tonight he wanted to embarrass her completely, a wicked idea came to mind so he went back to that alley with the wires and pocketed them. He waited until the next day near the afternoon just before lunch before he came to the ceramic shop that the second thief had mentioned, before entering Ryu placed the wire outside of the door and entered quickly. There was a bell at the door signaling that he was here, a young woman about maybe twenty six came out, short black hair, sharp blue eyes, porcelain skin, she was only a couple of inches shorter than Ryu. She froze for a moment when she saw Ryu as she clearly recognized him but Ryu gave her a big warm fake as all hell smile, "hi there ma'am, I'm on a mission for the village to find some thieves in the area, would you happen to know anything about that?", his tone filled with a false innocent curiousness.

The young woman spoke up thinking this was hilarious that Ryu had no idea who she was, "oh gosh no, I've heard about the break ins but never seen anything", her tone was light and pleasant as she appeared so innocent. Ryu listened and nodded while walking forward to stand beside her, "oh really?, I could have sworn I saw you in a house last night", he picked up a small ceramic cat stature while speaking nonchalantly about it. The young woman froze and then took off for the front door, Ryu didn't move much except to place down the small statue as the front door was flung open in a panic, "careful", Ryu called out playfully causing her to look back at him. He smiled at her as she got caught up under the chin by the same wire she had used to get away from him last night and thumped into the ground rather harshly, "oh yea you forgot that the other night", Ryu joked. The young woman couldn't respond as the wind had been knocked out of her lungs, Ryu took his time walking over to her before restraining her arms behind her back with the wire, he took her in for everyone to see and enjoyed every moment of it until he was told his mission had been completed.
