Kasuga & Jace vs The Two Tails

Well there you have it folks.

As the two were walking backward, the trio of misfits as it were, something decided to finally rear its ugly head. BUT. What was this? The massive explosion of energy caused both (and probably his partner) to make a last minute decision. Luckily for the clone his decision was swift. His right hand took to arms the lance upon his back and chucked it, forward toward the tree line with all of his might. Why? Anticipation. Of course with its mild reaction time it would barely get the throw off before the beast reared its ugly face and its fire set the trees on fire. The clone also at this time would move forward toward the fire covered trees, making sure its body was in front of whatever the beast had thrown out. Though at this same moment, the very moment the clone grabbed the lance, the main sacced its own armor and weapon, a dark ebony armor taking over its form at his reaction time, and a new sword appearing in his right hand.

The very moment the beast had shown itself to them, Kasuga released one of his strongest techniques, his eyes underneath the helm taking on a different form as well as his body becoming not only stronger, but faster.

Through the perceptive gaze of the Kenseigan he could see in its entirety the monstrous beast preparing fire based attacks, the male gripped the hilt of his sword carefully calculating the right time and place for his next attack, his right hand being still on the hilt while the left held the sheathe. At the very moment the beast released its rat like attacks, his hand released the blade from its sheath rapidly, creating three two meter blades of chakra. The first swing would create the first blade that would slice through the first of the rats, and with succession the second blade would erupt through the second mouse. The third? Would be traveling directly toward the beast itself, aiming to cut directly through the beasts eyes and subsequently his head. Through all of this he would aim each strike to where they perfectly missed the clone, making sure not to bust his shield in the case that something odd happened. The clone continued on his path however, keeping the rats where the main could efficiently hit its mark with no problems. This also would allow his partner to peruse any of his techniques without fail, unless Jace himself did something. Providing the following attacks happened exactly as planned the beast would find itself without a head and the two would be the victors.

As the now trio of shinobi, since Kasuga had formed a clone of himself, moved backwards an immense explosion could be both seen and heard less than 10 meters in front of them. The cause was immediately obvious as a giant two-tailed cat made entirely of blue flames erupted from the treeline. At the exact same time that the beast had shown itself Jace would make his own counter. The young Chuunin performed the Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings technique, something he hadn't used in quite some time. The two tails would immediately picture itself in a completely different environment. To be exact, it would see only a vast expanse of water, similar to that of an ocean, in front of her with Jace and his partners stand atop it. Of course this would most likely only last a second or two at most, but Jace was counting on that short time to give his partner the window that he needed.

Most likely all that would happen while Jace's genjutsu was in effect would be Kasuga's clone launching the spear towards the treeline near the beast. Still, it would be more than enough to set up the Uchiha for a counter strategy. Assuming the genjutsu was broken by this time, the fireballs would be executed at the same time the Uchiha's partner released some rather dangerous blades of chakra aimed with incredible precision. Luckily the blondes sharingan was able to pick up the Jounin's movements almost instantly as well as perceive the blue-fire cat's attack. Quickly considering his options and analyzing the potential risk, the boy decided to make his next move at the very instant Kasuga had finished launching his final chakra blade at the target.

Several things happened simultaneously at this point. Firstly, now being able to clearly see his target, Jace cast one of his favorite techniques: Genjutsu: Binding. It would immediately immobilize the two tails, hopefully long enough that it wouldn't be able to dodge or counter the chakra blades that had been launched at it. Secondly, the curse seal at the base of Jace's neck activated, the black markings spreading to cover his entire body. The gains he felt from activating it were great, even if he hadn't quite mastered it yet. Thirdly, as fast as his body would allow, Jace placed his left hand on the right shoulder of Kasuga and activated one of the techniques of his own creation. Both he and his partner would immediately become intangible, no longer being able to be effected by anything the enemy had to offer. Even though those damned rat fireballs were nearly upon them, it wouldn't matter anymore. The duo could no longer be touched by something like that. Or anything really, so long as Jace kept his technique going and Kasuga didn't break the contact. 

If all went according to plan, the beast would be down for the count and the threat to Konohagakure would have been nullified. Still, Jace would not allow his technique to end until he was absolutely certain the threat of danger had ended.

Upon coming out of the tree line the beast noticed the environment change instantly. The forests and grasslands that Matatabi had grown to calling her home for the last few months had suddenly become a vast ocean. Since her targets remained unchanged the three tailed Bijuu's attack went off as planned, however she would debate the reason for this sudden change and three most likely scenarios appeared. First, this was a use of spacetime ninjutsu that teleported the ninja and herself to some far off place; it happened instantly so was quite unlikely and the purpose of doing so remained a mystery. The second possibility was a genjutsu, a rather weak one or simple enough that the beast might not have noticed it, had it not been so obvious; once again the goal of this was unclear as it did not seem to harm or impede Matatabi in any way. And the third possibility that truly terrified the beast was that all of this was not the real world in the least, that her newfound freedom was only an illusion and that she remained imprisoned in the realm of Viper Uchiha where all reality was subject to his command.

As the beast's mind was plagued with similar thoughts, it nonetheless continued its intended ground scorching assault. The 3 meter long pike that was thrown in the direction of the treeline fell right where it was aimed - by the treeline, some 5 meters to right of the beast, sticking firmly into the ground and remaining vertical. The beast and its little fiery helpers were quickly reducing the distance between them and their foes as there appeared to be some sort of a counter attack. The one in the middle, now apparently having changed his armor and weapon somehow, made a quick draw move, sending out a blade of chakra towards the fire hairball that was aimed at him, splitting it in two and making it lump down. The second draw strike was aimed at the flame mouse golem. Knowing what to expect, Matatabi made the golem sidestep the vertical chakra blade before taking a leap at the clone that positioned itself within 2 meters of it and was obstructing the path. The intent was to have the golem bite the clone's face off.

As the third attack happened, Matatabi momentarily felt an influence trying to hold her movements. Almost involuntarily her body shook this influence off, breaking both the attempted binding and the illusion of the sea. As the flying chakra blade was apparently aimed at her eyes, possessing higher speed than the attack all the Bijuu had to do was duck her head less than a meter, which made her look as if she was about to pounce, and made the attack miss its intended target. Her appearance may have seemed like she was about to leap on the two shinobi two meters before her, but it was in fact not so. The flame lit path behind her was almost done as that last attack made her stop close enough to her destination. Looking at the umbrella holding ninja as he was running and extending his hand towards his partner with just under a meter left between them Matatabi was not going to wait. Immediately she would release the chakra she had been gathering this whole time in a sudden 10 meter wide beam aimed to drown both of the shinobi before her in chakra and flames.

[size=30]Plan C time. So the clone was at least successful in throwing the spear, useful for later in case he had needed it, but onto the now. The spear was cast which freed the hands of the clone which who would in turn swiftly and without haste press his fist together, creating a small spark. From that spark his body would become overwhelmed with lightning energy boosting his body for what was to come. At the same time he performed five handseals at his maximum speed while the original had been preparing his attack. Zooming on over to the main guy himself, as the three blades were soon made his sword was slipped back into sleep as he only noticed the first mouse being down for the count. Since he had Jace had not been far apart to begin with, it only took him one step to close their distance for good since the armor itself had been big enough to make his steps seem giant.[/size]

[size=30]Back to the clone, since the second blade missed it's Mark and the rat was still looming to bite into him it would get a different result. The beast would instead find the metallic fist of the armor ripping through it's mouth. The boys strength was no joke and as the mouse fell over limp that's when it all went to hell.[/size]

[size=30]Since Jace and Kasuga were essentially bumping booties or rather at such a close distance that Jace could touch his shoulder without anything inhibiting them in anyway, Kasuga would feel himself not be there anymore.[/size]

[size=30]As for the clone? As the beam was set to fire, his jutsu would activate switching places with the spear he had thrown previously putting him five meters behind the beast. With him now behind it, and not by much he moved at his full speed toward the right side of the beast side, using his gauntlets to  hover ove the flames and pounced. While it was still using it's technique, the clone after quickly before it could react and stop. His fists were fast and relentless to rain down a barrage of metallic punches so strong that each punch created a vacuum of air. Not that he was concerned with that, each punch would without a doubt rip through the beasts flame body due to their pure strength.[/size]

[size=30]Now for whatever reason the clone could not switch with his weapon, he would instead employ the use of body flickering to the same location as the lance, but instead picking it up and stabbing the beast through the side with it while punching it. Good thing those beasties could do what they do.These actions of course were it's backup plan providing it could not switch with the lance.[/size]

[size=30]Should the aforementioned actions go through the bijuu would undoubtedly be beaten and the would be the victors.[/size]

Jace's eyes captured everything. Every little detail going before him was seen and registered thanks to his sharingan. The three blades of chakra that his partner had released didn't end up doing much besides taking care of the small mouse figure that was headed towards them. The larger one had sidestepped to avoid the blade before pouncing toward Kasuga's clone. The blade aimed for the two tails' head was ducked under, which was a good thing for the two Konoha ninja since her head blocked those cool extendo flames coming off of it's body...everywhere except for it's head that is. 

Kasuga's clone had done some stuff and punched the flame creature attacking it with his iron fist and avoided injury, dispelling the attack. The chakra that the cat had been building up was released from it's mouth in the form of a 10 meter wide laser beam that was shot with incredible speed. Luckily for Jace and Kasuga the two had already been close enough to each other for the young Uchiha to counter it. His hand had in fact been placed on Kasuga's shoulder before the laser escaped the fire-cat's mouth. The technique the blonde used to escape from danger was only slightly faster in activation than the incoming assault. Still, slightly faster was still faster. The duo managed to phase just before, and i mean literally like bam one second later and they were toast, the laser would have hit them.

At the exact same time that the laser had been set on its course, the clone had done something akin to one of Jace's own techniques and managed to switch it's place with the spear it had launched just moments earlier. He was now standing some 5 meters to the right of the beast and slightly behind it. Now being directly inside of this enormous and potentially dangerous laser beam, Jace couldn't see anything else going on around him. Through deductive reasoning he was able to infer that the fire-beast was still 2 meters in front of them since the laser was still going. He knew that Kasuga was next to him since Jace's hand was still on his shoulder. As for the clone, only chakra sensory helped the blonde boy to tell that it was moving. That was pretty much all he could tell though, not knowing it was attempting an attack on their enemy.

Deciding it was in his best interest to get out of this laser beam and try another genjutsu, Jace came up with a plan. "Sorry about this." he said to Kasuga before quickly lifting the man over his shoulder, without breaking contact at all, and then performed the Ram hand seal and dashed to a stop 21 meters to the blue-fire-cat's right and placing Kasuga back on the ground. "I'm going to have to stop using my technique on you now. Defend yourself. I have a plan." 

Jace then let go of Kasuga, reached into his weapons pouch, and took out his flute which he began to play. The melody was soft and soothing; the sound carried widely across the landscape. He spotted the spear from earlier now lying on the floor just 5 meters to the two tails' right. That made things easier. After making sure there was absolutely no danger to him in his current location or in the immediate vicinity of the spear, Jace dispelled molecular shift and instantly exchanged places with the spear. He continued playing his flute the entire time this was going on. The instant he arrived at his new location the sound of his flute would fill the ears of Matatabi, the poor cat falling prey to his genjutsu. It would see itself impaled by multiple metal stakes to a cross big enough to fit it's body. The pain from the genjutsu would be felt as if it were real, causing the beast to lose all control of its body. If this worked, the fight would now be over and the beast defeated.

It would seem the two shinobi were more worried about reaching each other than getting away from the lethal flames coming from Matatabi's form. As such both of them would have been reduced to ash by the time the Bijuu had to duck her head, the clone being defeated in similar fashion by the flames coming from the fiery rat that jumped at it. For good measure the Two Tails would release the Bijuu Bomb Laser anyways, destroying any equipment left behind.

[Should be rather apparently that I'm calling a kill on both from Jungle Cat's aoe flame effect, which has around 130 power, that is enough to instantly incinerate both given their health and lack of attempted defensive measures.

Reasoning for it being a hit: The flame effect expands 3 meters from Matatabi's body, the beast reached 2 meters from both before ducking and shooting out laser (both actions confirmed to happen by Kasuga and Jace) and they did not attempt to get away before that, meaning by the time it ducked they would already have been fully within the flames.

Oh and same thing with the clone and the mouse golem, as it has the flame effect as well and by the time it jumps the flames already hit the clone.

Things happened in rapid succession. The clone which should have ripped through the rat had been destroyed by fire through some ironic state, it poofing along with the armor and weapon it had out. Nice. The second would be the flames of the beast which poured down on the two would incinerate his partner before the blast was able to come out. This was getting shitty. That only left Kasuga. In his wake he had an epiphany of sorts as he stared down the ball of chakra, death was real and it could happen to him now. Because of this, there was time for one quick push that final moment- Cue the music.

Before the ball was released, Kasuga made one rash decision that could make or break this fight. Using his last ounce of strength he pushed just under the bijuu since it was standing right above him (assuming it is looking down directly at him) because of this he had just enough space to do what he needed to do. There was no more running, he went straight into the fire. The last attack would be the last ditch effort to end the beast once and for all.

Once the beast had released the blast of chakra, Kasuga would duck or rather be just underneath the beast directly where the middle of the stomach would be so that he wasn't near either of the four paws of the beast and in a position providing the beast tried to sit or squash him he could still maneuver (under and away from the laser) and using his full strength would begin to punch a total of five times. Before the beast would be able to know what he had been doing the first punch would rip through the beast stomach, followed by a vacuum like effect. The second punch would continue on its way slowly puncturing through the beast before the rest connected. With each punch he would rip through the bijuu until it was rendered unconscious or dead- either worked.With the last punch done he would assure that it pushed the beast to the left of him so that it for some odd reason didn't fall onto him and try to crush him like something out of a story. The sheer force of the punches would rip through the beast, but that was another story. Each consecutive punch would push the beast more and more to the left until it had finally fallen over," Night night pussy cat...and i might be on fire "

Providing the actions went through without a hitch he would stand tall looking at the beast whom he had just fought, and with another sigh stay alert. There could have been the issue of the other rat but hey? A fight wasn't a fight without complications.

Stats:
Evening Elephant (Gives +60 speed and strength but due to scaling rules it gives... +75 strength and +90 speed so after halfing it i get +37 str? and +45 speed? So strength is 127 and speed is 260. I honestly don't know how the vacuum scales and i've asked so if its strength then i'll put the numbers)
(since he was moving from a still position movement would be...107? Would make him JUST fast enough to get under matatabi before the blast went off)
