Well if Sento didn’t have any questions Kirino wasn’t going to press the issue. She had talked enough for the day, she was becoming just as annoyed with herself as Kisuke was. It wasn’t tough to talk to the other people of her group about menial things, it just seemed well useless. Now, if they were talking about things she liked maybe that would be a good conversation but it seemed they wouldn’t be and these guys probably didn’t even like blood. Who doesn’t love that stuff? The color, the smell, the warmth it provides. Of, course there were other reasons to like it too.
This mission though likely wouldn’t provide that opportunity however. As Kisuke told the genin to exit the cave Kirino would take up a position on the opposite side as Ayumi. If these ninja planned to escape through the entrance they were going to be in for a bad time. The girl would be sure to punch one in the nose, it was the easiest place to make bleed. She would keep quiet as they waited, no point in letting the three inside know more people were outside than one. With the element of surprise the mission would go smoothly.
As Kisuke stepped forward telling the ninja inside of the cave their time was up, the girl was ready to enter ready to attack But, with the tiger seal Kisuke eliminated that thought. Oh, genjutsu eliminated my fun. Oh, well there is always next time. The girl knew before entering the cave even if there was a struggle it wouldn’t be much of one. Even the weakest chakra among them was much larger than anyone within the caves, so it wouldn’t have been difficult unless they were all trained in taijutsu. As Ayumi entered the cave Kirino would do so last. As she entered she noted all three of the ninja were asleep. She indeed had questions, but none would be asked. How many does it effect? How long will the effects last? How do you counter it? Is stopping a genjutsu all about recognizing you are in one? If, so what did these people see before falling asleep, did they see sheep and pillows. If, so then why not simply flood their body with chakra as they were in a cave absent of those things.
Kirino would walk back with the rest of the group. It seemed Ayumi had hypothesized the jutsu would not last long enough to get them back to village. She had a point it would be noisy if they woke up and tried to run off. As the first ninja woke up, Kirino would move over to them. [color=violet]”I’d say I’m sorry, but I’m really not. So…” The girl would then strike the former genin where Ayumi had shown them. She didn’t even see this person as a leaf ninja anymore as they were on a one way trip to prison. Something, the Kaguya would certainly try to avoid if she ever worked up the nerve to leave the village. It was worth noting, though that taking someone out was why these former ninjas were hunted down. It wasn’t because they left. Sure, that was part of it but they wouldn’t have wasted so much man power for genin that didn’t know any village secrets. But they did something that required the village to retaliate or otherwise look weak. This mission was a learning experience on what would happen if anyone should attempt the same thing, an experience Kirino planned to write about in great detail.
From the time it took between the ninja leaving and murdering someone, to the time it took to issue the mission and choose a team. Then following that how long it took that team to assemble and begin the hunt for the ninja. What also would be included is how they were tracked. In the case of these genin they hadn’t gone too far. Which may have been their downfall, as had they gotten near a rival villages borders the team may have stopped their pursuit and a new team possibly selected. So, in the event Kirino made it as far as this she wouldn’t merely stop at the borders and she would take precautions on covering her chakra signature, scent and footprints.
As the group entered the village Kirino followed the team to the prison and would collect her reward.
