Komon & Senshi vs The Three Tail
Sat May 06, 2017 5:23 pm
Welcome to your Bijuu Battle
Before we start, a few ground rules as always.
+Participants are given 48 hours to respond, Mods and NPCs however are given 72 hours.
+The possibility of death is very real and in fact, expected. You are fighting a bijuu after all.
+Once you post here, your stats and jutsu are locked in place. Anything not on your stat page will not be counted, same as the bijuu. Both parties should ensure all final edits to their stat pages are made before posting in this topic
+There are no get out of death free cards, if you die, you die. However the bijuu may not die. A death blow will result in the bijuu being knocked out and primed for sealing.
+If your NPC permits, you may edit your post once per post. Editing resets the 72 hour counter from time of edit.
+Regardless of how much coding skill you’d like to apply, each technique used must be listed at the bottom of your post along with appropriate AP deduction. If any party fails to list a tech, it does not go through
+Because this is a semi IC event, you may use the words from your battle towards stats/a technique you used or trained.
+Should a battle mod be required, one will be provided. It will not help your case to argue with the battle mod. You may make your point respectfully and then defer to the mod’s judgment.
+Should the first team/participant fail, the next team/participant will get their turn. A new topic will be made for the next fight. Should all bijuu hopefuls for a certain tailed beast fail, signups for that beast will open once more.
+Participants post first, IC investigating a natural oddity that has been occurring near their current IC location. The NPC-ed bijuu posts second with a complete stat page as well as their entrance post.
+Best of luck <3

Re: Komon & Senshi vs The Three Tail
Sat May 06, 2017 6:17 pm
Komon and Senshi had met at the gates as planned and the two were currently running through the forestry 3 to four dozen miles away from kumogakure. Reports had been dispatched that there was a large beast in the area and because of the S rank mission they had gone on where they had taken down a massive liger, they were elected most suited for the job at the moment, with all the other jounin and chuunin away on the kumo warpath. Their job was to capture or restrain the beast. He had gotten this information from the jounin with an oversized sword running in front of him, as usual senshi had taken the lead. He was faster, and Komons byakugan worked more effectively in the back, he could see through senshi, as well as all around him, the two had run several missions together and this was always their preferred method of travel.
If one looked at Komon they’d see him in his Baransu Armor, without the mask, allowing one to see a piercing on his right ear, and his weapons pouches and shinigami resting along his waist.
(OOC: Senshi gave me permission to metagame him running alongside me, that last paragraph was more or less to show what I’m wearing. Treating baransu as having no abilities for this topic since all the abilities rest in its mask, and using the speed boost from earring as my passive.)
Jutsu Used:
- 1 AP for Byakugan

Re: Komon & Senshi vs The Three Tail

Senshi sighed in utter boredom as he was once again sent off to do boring things in the name of Kumo. Literally how many huge monsters could their be in the world that he would get stuck being sent on both missions to handle them. This one hasn't even had a decent description of it. Out of the corner of his eye Senshi could see Komon running along with them as they headed towards what was and will forever be known as the largest lake in Kumogakure. Because screw you im not fighting the three tails in the friggen ocean. Anyways, as they ran the forest began to open up and the sound of the. Early river began to grow louder. Senshi was as usual suppressing his chakra and wearing his new found armor that pretty
Much screamed his loyalty to Kumo and the MakuKage. On his back was Gureto wth his two tantos on his hips, as always.
Bother weapons pouches were full of the items listed in his stat page. His contact lenses were in, his necklace on, and the absolutely wonderful helix speed earring of doom was in his ear. All nice and ready to be slaughtered by the bijuu he was unknowingly hunting. The two shinobi would be able to see a hundred and seven meters ahead of them the forest widening out and the large lake, let's call it the lake
Of doom, looming into view. Senshi sent out another pulse of chakra using chakra sensory since they were nearing the last known location of the new monster animal that was plaguing his country. The lake was 500 meters wide but seven hundred Meters long and at its deepest was three hundred and fifty meters deep. The forest would end offering fifty Meters of bank before the waters edge. In the water were several small islands of sorts dotted around. Thirty seven in total each just over thirty meters wide by twenty meters long.

stats that you may or may not have seen
(writing as if you two keep running towards the beast by accident, just to save a post. explanation of ic thoughts is in the middle, read the beginning and ends to know what you are dealing with)
Was that turtle dude doing pushups?
Well, not quite, but Isobu, 3 Tailed Beast, was definitely active. He was sort of paddling around the lake, training, and having a grand time. Yes, Since he was rather massive, the body being about 80 meters long, 60 meters wide from one edge of the shell to the other, and maybe 40 meters tall. As all 80 meters or so of each tail was whipping around in a frenzy, this meant that there was an awfully large amount of splashing going on. A typical human might have considered it comparable to a typhoon, at least up close.
It would have been weird for him to be on the edge of the lake without a decent reason, so he was happily making waves from the approximate center. He was practicing what should become a jutsu, if he ever got the chance to fully work out the details - splashing with his tail, and making a miniature tsunami that could wipe entire towns out! Or, at least wash over some islands. It would be sooooo cool! Some of the other biju thought he was immature, but what's wrong with having a bit of fun every now and then? (just to be clear, the waves are not intended to be an attack, more for flavor/ic actions that would make some sense imo.)
Anything, really, to keep him from reliving the dark days.... Which was really the reason he was out here in the middle of nowhere. He could be by himself, watch the animals he didn't accidentally drown, and mellow out.
(Assuming Kobayashi and Komon keep running towards him) He was not facing their way at first, but after what felt like an eon of hanging around combatants, one tended to become more... suspicious than normal. Out of the corner of his eye, tails still lashing, he noticed movement. Too fast to be an animal, they didn't move the foliage that quickly. Well, not much else that could be in this area.
Filthy humans.
He began turning in the direction that Kobayashi and Komon were approaching from, he would only have seen the moving foliage at the edges of the forest, so they would have time to react to him first. Not much more, though, since he would potentially see them as well, they didn't exactly have cover to cower behind.
Filthy humans.
He was mad. It would be clearly audible, and his face would look rather unhappy as well. He had learned the hard way that humans were not to be trusted. So many times he had been locked away within one of those scum. Imagine being locked in a tiny box, for decades at a time, unable to move away. Yeah. It sucked, and he thought he would have been free. Maybe a few humans could be trusted! But even those last humans he had bothered talking too, what were their names... Ah, that's right. Ita and Queen. Either they were astoundingly naive, or they were working for those people who began hunting him soon after he left them. Almost as if they led him into a trap. He would have shown them what he thought of their betrayal, but they never showed their faces again.
So instead, he had to settle for being sneak attacked by a swarm of ninjas. Not once. But many times.
He had rather completely lost his trust in humans, just as old mental scars were beginning to heal. That old chap... the nine tails jinchuriki, he was the only human respectable enough to want the beasts free. All others wanted to use Isobu as an engine of war. To kill him over and over again. Not today, punks!
All this to explain why he would be feeling rather combative, and not at all inclined to talk. Actually, he wanted to run away, where there was one human, there were usually a dozen more, lying in wait. However, this was not an option, sadly. Of all places, he had to get caught in the middle of a secluded lake, with islands to boot. Give it a few years, and this place would be buzzing with gift shops.
Not happening.
He would speak one word.
"Come." (spoken at his base speed, before someone can claim otherwise. -_- )
The word would resonate through the clearing, it having been shouted by a rather loud and large creature.
Unless given reason to do otherwise, he would begin paddling towards them, his tails dipping below the water to help propel him, and reduce the size of the target his body formed. What he did next would depend on them, but unless they gave him reason to do otherwise, he would come to a stop about 100 meters from the shore line, his tails agitated but hidden. Obviously, he would be watching for them to attack him. They always did. They wanted his power, but couldn't even wait for him to crush them, they had to hurry things along.

(OOC Stuff Part 1: Basically just timelined it so that I saw you from a mile away like my byakugan would allow me to gave senshi a heads up and made a shadow clone, before playing into your post exactly how you saw it but with a shadow clone secretly flanking you on the left)
Komons byakugan had been active for quite a while, and due to this he was able to see the massive chakra signature coming from about a mile out. Long before the turtle could see either of them, Taking a moment to analyze the creature he’d realize that he had never really seen a chakra signature that strong aside from maybe that of the makukages, and it troubled him more than a little bit, if senshi was paying attention he’d see they hyuuga mouth something along the lines of “Holy Shit”
“Senshi, the beast is up ahead… It’s much larger than the liger from before, and he’s got a scary chakra signature”
The words would come out of rather serious face as the hyuuga formed a shadow clone to verge off in another direction still out of sight of the impending beast. The clone would verge left, making sure to be separate from the two shinobi that were continuing onwards towards the lake front, with the intention of being able to launch a concealed attack should the actual senshi and komon find themselves in a bit of trouble.
Komon would continue running through and ruffling foliage, like isobu had seen earlier and alert the beast to his presence unintentionally as they drew nearer, the two jounin would hear the loud rumbling voice of the beast "Come" he'd command as the hyuuga continued to run behind senshi leaving a gap of about 5 meters between them. After All, the jounin was the man in charge and would decide the course of action.
Komons clone would now be reaching the tree fronts by the shore of the lake concealing himself with great care in the foliage to the right of the bijuu and to the left of Komon by about 300 meters to the right of the bijuu.
(OOC Stuff Part 2: Currently running at 135 speed, 100 base speed from 2 posts of running 25 speed from earring and 10 from byakugan, Created a shadow clone about a mile out splitting my ap in half shadow clone has no jutsu active atm, Komon will run alongside senshi about 5 meters behind him as he does whatever he does)
Jutsu used:
1 ap for byakugan on Komon
1 ap for byakugan on Komon Clone
30 ap for shadow clone
Komon AP Remaining: 326
Komon Clone AP Remaining: 327
sorry if this post has any inconsistencies, I edited it like 5 times and im tired, I'll double check it in the morning if tia hasn't posted by then to make sure its better quality.

Re: Komon & Senshi vs The Three Tail
Tue May 09, 2017 10:50 pm
Well lookie there, a big scary turtal monster with a coral... (insert word I cant say here). How frightening. Senshi was definitely going to sacrifice Komon to that thing if it got any... rowdy ideas. Then again, these were thoughts he was going to have later. For now as they traveled through the woods of boredom at impossibly fast speeds, because Ninja reasons. At Komon's warning as to the massive beast that far outstripped the Liger they had faced, Senshi could only offer an annoyed sigh. Of course it wouldn't be something simple again. Nooooo, it had to be some kind of new monster animal. Seriously, what was in Kumo's water sources (or maybe food sources) that was causing these creatures to pop up? Whatever. Senshi would just have to show them that what the shinobi got was much better and their simple peasant minds were incapable of fighting shinobi so they should jsut bow down like good little slaves.
Senshi simply nodded to Komon as he started to develop a plan. So a creature with a crazy high chakra signature that was also a monster among monsters. What to do? What to do? Ahah! A plan had formed, whether it lead to their deaths or not remained to be seen. Hopefully not. Senshi turned his head to address Komon as they continued to run, seeing that the Chuunin had created a Shadow clone and had it split off away from them. That was a good idea as well, would allow them to flank the creature. "Komon, we'll close to the shore line and test it first. See how a C or B rank technique will affect it. We need to get an idea for its reaction time, speed, and durability if we can hit it before we can make a concrete plan. Keep your bunshin hidden for now, we can use it to flank the enemy once we have an idea of its abilities. You initiate the first attack, since you say it has a high chakra signature I'm going to activate my seals."
Senshi closed his eyes focusing his chakra into his seals, from this point on he would be unable to focus on much more than moving, breathing, or basic conversation. He certainly would be unable to issue an attack while he was focused on activating his sealing array correctly. Finally the two would be within 25m of breaking through the trees and coming into open view of the water. Senshi could now make out the ridiculously large creature that was a significant distance away in the water itself. "Keep moving, don't let it stop our momentum, we have no idea how fast it is. Plus we can surmise that it must have some sort of affinity to the water, so we'll need to watch out for any sort of attacks from there. Test its abilities, now Komon, and then we can make a plan to draw it closer towards us. I'd rather not fight it, in its element after all." By this point Senshi's hair and beard were being pushed around from some sort of invisible wind and small bolts of lightning were jumping around his body. IT was time to play.
Fight Stuff:

(ooc: had a discussion with Kobayashi, they are "ending" their posts at the tree line. This post is basically to re sort back out the timeline)
The long and short of it, was that the turtle dude noticed some movement in the foliage from the corner of his eye, and began turning to face the filthy humans.
This began during/when/slightly after they broke through the tree line, since that was what would start his post.
He turned to face their direction, unable to sense the clone hiding in the area. As previously stated and unhindered, he would rumble loudly... "Come."
Unless he had a reason to do otherwise, he would start approaching them, well, where they had broken the tree line, anyway, coming to a stop 100 meters from the shore line. Unless, of course, he was given reason to do otherwise. All the while, he would be looking for signs of them. Since they were faster than he could see directly, this would be difficult, but not impossible.

Re: Komon & Senshi vs The Three Tail
Wed May 10, 2017 7:35 pm
Senshi’s order to launch some weak attacks at the bijuu within the b and c rank range sounded simple until you took in the other parameters of his command, Komon was a close range fighter by nature, and not many of his techniques much less a B rank or a C rank could hope to reach the beast at their current range. The beast was around 100 meters out, and as senshi said, the terrain between them was a lake, something this oversized animal clearly had an advantage in.
His byakugan was still active and as he reached the bank of the lake he knew that he’d have to ignore senshis warning to stay off of the water. The Hyuuga boys byakugan skimming the horizon to see that one of the smaller islands that senshi had mentioned dotting the lake was within 30 meters, that would be his next location as he continued his dashing movements over the wavy surface with expert balance. Having a hozuki brother taught one to be to be adept at fighting water based combatants, and running on water was almost second nature to him at this point.
As he stepped out onto the water and continued to close the distance to about 80 meters and neared the island his hand would flick to his waist and grab a fuma shuriken, slinging it at full speed towards the massive beasts eye. Despite the fact that it had shown no hostility, Komon still remembered the guilt he had felt the last time he had fought a beast of this size and hesitated to kill it, he could still hear the screams of the people inside the building as the ligers foot pulverised them in a mound of what had been their homes.
He couldn’t risk it. And as the fuma shuriken left his hand he’d instantly weave the signs at max speed for the giant shuriken jutsu, watching the spinning metal blade grow tremendously, hoping that the incoming attack would serve as enough of a distraction that he could make it to his island uninterrupted.
His byakugan was still active and as he reached the bank of the lake he knew that he’d have to ignore senshis warning to stay off of the water. Re: Komon & Senshi vs The Three Tail

Oh look the enemy literally did nothing different, how... original. Komon headed out ahead of Senshi to start the test attack against the best and Senshi took a deep breath reaching into his pouch he pulled out a Kunai, he was already too close for comfort but he had to get within throwing range of the bijuu. Time to see what a basic attack would do. They needed to know the animals reflexes and durability before they could conceivably do anything. Once he was within seventy meters his arm drew back. Moving at a speed of 195 the instant he felt himself hit sixty meters his arm flashed forwards throwing the single Kunai, aimed for the opposite eye that Komon had targeted. Quite a large target area considering. He imediately cut to the right to keep his distance at 50m from the creature. One hand lifted up gripping the hilt of Gureto while the other lowered and gripped the hilt of one of his tantos preparing for a more dangerous attack should the beats prove exceptionally challenging.
Fight stuff:
Wind release chakra blade - Thrown Kunai - 166 sharpness 60 durability 190 speed - aimed at opposite eye that Komon aimed for
Activated: Seal of Power - +70 Speed, +70 Strength - Post 2/8 - 50 AP To activate, 25 AP to maintain
950 Ap - 46 ap (20 for wind chakra 25 for sea 1 for surface walkingl)
904 AP Remaining
Speed: 195
Strength: 170
RT: 280
Currently moving at 195 Speed 50 M from beat
Edit: 9/10 Kunai remaing

Re: Komon & Senshi vs The Three Tail

(running out of time to post, so ignore my last pm to Komon, I'm just adjusting my post a bit.)
(ooc: For the sake of convenience, it will be assumed that Kobayashi and Komon each aim for the eye closest to them, and that they aren't trying to cross paths, to avoid crossfire. Meaning that if Kobayashi runs to his right and Isobu's left, Kobayashi has the right side of the formation, for the sake of simplicity. If you guys want to chat this up, I'm cool with it, but I don't see this as an unfair vague so far.)
Pitiful fools.
Didn't they know that the smart turtle waits for his opponents to come to him?
There was an odd hole in the space-time continuum of sorts when the rustling foliage had alerted Isobu, three tailed tortoise thingy, to the presence of the humans. For an odd number of momnets, they allowed him to approach. There was no discernible actions on their part, but they were not exactly detectable either. He wasn't sure why he could sense them, but he knew they were there. Maybe they were biding their time, letting him approach.
Indeed, when he was pretty close to shore, by his standards, they approached. He knew it was "they" now, because they approached him on the water. Even if they could somehow avoid him detecting them directly, they were running on water at very rapid speeds. This meant that they were going to throw up a lot of water despite their puny sizes. Two clearly distinct trails of water were forming rapidly beneath their feet, heading straight towards him. Unless these humans evolved wings, they were heading straight for him, and he was getting an increasingly clear picture of how fast the water trails could form - he had to shift his gaze rapidly - even if he couldn't see them directly. Obviouly the water trails would only be noticable to him slightly after the ninja had run past, but not by much. Physcial impacts had a way of transferring force instantly, or very close.
He had been about to raise a massive hand to smite them both with turtle fury, but one of them aburptly changed direction, starting to run to the side in a circle around him. The other did that weird thing again where he was too speedy or whatnot to be detected, but didn't actually do anything. Ahem.
Shortly after one of the ninjas cut out to the side, his right and Isobu's left, Isobu felt a brief gust of wind from his right eye. Almost instantly after, he felt an impact. Fortunately, due to how health rules work afaik, his eye had a health of 200, far higher than the impact of the flying... thing. It didn't even scratch the eyeball. Neither did the smaller object that hit his left eye. The objects having imparted their force to Isobu, they fell slowly in front of his eyes, allowing him to see the objects in question - a kunai, glimmering with chakra, and a shuriken playing at being a giant. Neither actually hurt, though.
The speed was concerning nonetheless, he had to predict and launch attacks based on where the opponents would be. This could easily have been a test attack - they would clearly have seen Isobu not blink - he doubted that opponents moving that quickly would only have one trick up their sleeves. They did clearly enhance their weapons though, so he was looking at countering a mix of both limited ranged attacks and melee. Fortunately, unless either was able to deal a truly massive blow, it would be hard for their attacks to do much, even if they could pierce his shell or his skin.
Enough musing, time to return to the fight in question. Isobu was able to get a rough idea of the speed of the water trail's formation from the one running to his left, observing that the path was generally the same distance away from him at all times. Ok.
While Isobu was carefully watching for the one that had somehow not done anything yet, he had turned his head briefly to allow further tracking from the corner of his eye. When he had estimated the other to be approximately behind him, he would act. Each of his three tails would begin slamming downward, the intent to crush and push this fool into the water, to drown this fishbait. All three of his tails would sweep straight downwards from where they were attached. The water was deep enough that he would have been paddling around still, meaning his body was partially submerged. So, conservatively, it can be estimated that his shell was on top of the water, giving 20 meters of height to the tails when they began their descent. They would push down, the right and left tails out to either side by about thirty degrees from the center tail. The center tail would push straight into the water, while the other two would sweep inwards towards the center tail, likely crushing anything that they caught in his makeshift jaws.
His timing was actually slightly off though. Assuming Kobayashi kept to the same course of action, the tails would begin moving when Kobayashi was about five degrees off of center, to Isobu's left. To visualize this on a clock, Kobayashi was running around Isobu like a hand on a clock, counterclockwise. When Isobu thought Kobayashi was at the 6, his tailed attack would begin, one tail descending at 5 o'clock and 7o'clock respectively. If Kobayashi had kept to course, he would have actually been at about midway between the 6 and the 7. At least it would take a bit of time for the target to switch directions, since there weren't really any instant movement skills. Sadly, there was no real way for Isobu to track their movements, but if until his attack launched, he would play dumb and passive. Unless of course, he was given reason to do otherwise.
In brief summary: Da turtle tracks their movements, tanks the puny ninja tools, watches Kobayashi run off to his left in the beginnings of a circle, then launches his attack when he thinks Kobayashi is is right behind him, but is slightly off.
