Re: Day One (Open)

Hikari continued her Gentle Fist stance, staying defensive as Salzem prepared to go on the offensive. He controlled the beads that been sent at Takashi simultaneously as her fireballs had been shot, retrieving the two beads for they were no longer needed. Then he threw one bead at transformed Takashi’s forehead, having remarked jokingly that Takashi had a nice face yet it would do him no good to keep such an act up while the former shinobi just smiled at the remark given.
The elder shinobi began his offensive attack before Salzem threw the bead, as Hikari could see through her Byakugan he had made at least one clone due to being able to see chakra networks. She saw this when Takashi switched places with his clone when he was in the line, which Hikari still was not fully aware of. He performed the Body Flicker jutsu hand signs, although Hikari was doubtful as to if he knew such a jutsu already. At that time Salzem launched his bead at Takashi’s forehead, and the latter ninja jumped in order to dodge the attack. The clone that had, in Hikari’s eyes, taken place with Takashi took the brute force of the beat, disappearing in a cloud of smoke from being damaged. The ninja continued his plan of action, a second clone grabbing the bead that had slowed down due to passing through an object, and spun before throwing the bead back at Salzem. As the bead left the clone’s hands, the clone also ran towards them, aiming to attack them as they were distracted by the bead. Hikari’s Byakugan informed her that the Takashi transformed Salzem running at them was a clone and not the real Takashi, however she did not really think about the idea that the bead could have been the real Takashi, she just figured he had used the smoke from the clone to go into a sort of hiding.
When the bead and Takashi were roughly three meters from Hikari and Salzem, the Hyuuga activated her Eight Trigrams Divination Circle, preparing to attempt a technique she had read about that was deemed one of the world’s ultimate defenses. It was a clan specialty known as Eight Trigrams: Palms Revolving Heaven. Hikari focused her chakra and sent it coursing out of every tenketsu point she had, and began rotating in a clockwise rotation. Her chakra began to rotate alongside her, forming a blue chakra half sphere around both Salzem and herself, roughly two meters in radius on every side of her (as she was spinning in the center of the sphere). By this time Takashi and the bead should have just reached within range of the jutsu, and if neither one did anything to stop themselves before ramming straight into the dome, they would be reflected off of the sphere with a power of 15 and speed of 30. The defensive barrier should not do any fatal damage nor cause any serious flesh wounds, the only damage that would take place is the place of contact between Takashi or the bead and the chakra dome, as well as any damage suffered from hitting the ground and flying a few meters.
If the technique did go through, Hikari would stop rotating a few seconds after feeling the collision of the two objects on the chakra dome, allowing her body to rest from the strain of the jutsu. After completely stopping the jutsu, Hikari would feel dizzy and sway only for a few seconds as her body was not used to rotating at such high speeds. Hence why that was the drawback she received for having never attempted this jutsu before.
However, if the two never came into contact with the dome, in the instance they were able to stop themselves before hitting it, Hikari would continue to spin until her and Salzem came up with a plan, as she would ask him, “I think Takashi was able to dodge my jutsu, would should we do next? I won’t be able to keep this up much longer, so we need to be prepared to go straight on the offensive once I release this barrier. Is that alright with you, brother?”
Depending on Salzem’s answer to her question, her reaction would vary. If he said to release the barrier, she would halt her rotating and come to a complete stop, her body swaying due to being dizzy, and give Salzem a chance to continue their onslaught of attacks, or if he had a barrier he wanted to cast he could also do so as well. If he said anything else, Hikari would follow his wishes to the best of her ability, however her barrier would weaken considerable as the time went on until she could no longer concentrate, dispersing the jutsu and falling to the ground from fatigue. She would have to take at least five to ten minutes to regain her strength before being able to go back into combat.

Takashi (...or his clone...?) attempted to grab the orb he threw at him, however he was met with a nasty surprise: Salzem controls all these beads manually and simply redirecting it's location is as easy a problem to fix as getting them moving in the first place. With a twitch of a finger, the lycan redirected the bead from the moment it seemed to leave the clone's hand, he manipulated it's momentum to slam into all three of his apparent clones, ending them instantly.... or at least, that was the plan. Instead, Salzem found himself unable to manipulate the bead heading straight towards him at all, as if it lost it's connection to the chakra in which it flowed! What was going on...? He couldn't see the orb a ways behind the clone, notice it's random dancing as he attempted to manipulate the one flying towards his face and that left the lycan in a state of confusion.
However, Hikari came to his rescue, spinning around as she formed a large dome of spinning chakra around them both, most likely causing the clones to slam into it's wall. The lycan looked around, a small smile on his face impressed with what he saw. To prevent getting in the way, Salzem forced his beads around his neck, holding them still with his will while the cord still snaked around his arm.
"Nice one, Hikari." Salzem complimented with a grin. However, when he looked at her, he could already tell she was slowing down. The expression on her face looked uncomfortable to say the least, especially as she said that she wouldn't be able to keep the barrier up much longer. She then came to him with a plan, saying that the moment the barrier fell, they should go on the offensive... Salzem liked this plan... he liked it a lot...
"Sure thing, sis. Whenever you're ready." It was then, whether the clones slammed into the barrier or not, Salzem would notice the orb left behind outside, still writhing and dancing naturally, though all alone... and behind all three of his apparent opponents... Wonderful... Suddenly, the ball would fly forward, towards the back of the last remaining Salzem imposter (assuming the other two dissipated upon contact with Hikari's barrier), striking him in the mid-spine at speeds of 12 and power of 12 before looping around to the front (speed 15) and striking again, this time shooting up under Takashi's chin (speed 12, power 12) in an upper-cut like maneuver.

(Heya guys, sorry to cut this a bit short, but, I'm moving on Saturday, so life's a bit chaotic right now. So, instead of having you guys wait till Monday or Tuesday when I'll have the time to post again, I hope it's okay if I exit)
Takashi watched, in the form of the bead, as he flew across the battlefield towards the two. Then it was that Hikari started to spin. Takashi knew the girl to be a Hyuuga, but did not know all the techniques available to them. He decided to play it safe.
As she continued spinning faster and faster, Takashi broke the transformation jutsu, and quickly began to weave the signs for a substitution jutsu. There was a stick on the ground that looked nice.
However, as fast as Takashi could move his fingers, he was not fast enough by the second that the last hand sign for the jutsu was formed, there was already a large circle of protection formed, and just a fraction of a second before Takashi substituted, his leg came into contact with the sphere.
Takashi landed the substitution with an "oof", and bent down to rub his leg. He knew that contact would leave a mark for quite a bit, but it did not break anything. Still, it caused him to wince if he put pressure on it. They had won.
Looking up to the two, Takashi nodded, and smiled softly.
"Well, I'm afraid all these old bones can handle for the day," the old man said. "Thank you both very much for the training, it was very educational."
"I'm also glad to know the village is in good hands," Takashi said, smiling again at the two.

Despite her struggle with upholding the defense, Hikari smirked at Salzema s he complimented her on her new jutsu. Although she had not completely learned the ways of the jutsu, she had learned enough to be of use instead of automatically failing when even attempting it. The Hyuuga was thankful her body did not betray her and give out before she was ready.
Upon feeling contact with her Palms Revolving Heaven dome, Hikari slowed her spinning until it came to a completely stop. She had prepared herself to continue fighting despite her dizziness, yet when her chakra dissipated, the sight before her was unexpected. Takashi was bending down to stroke his leg, faint remnants of the flesh wound caused by her chakra could be seen. Hikari thought to herself that the contact she felt against the dome had to have been Takashi’s leg, and she felt terrible that he had sustained such an injury, even though it wasn’t severe. Before Hikari could offer the older man assistance with medical ninjutsu, he began speaking swiftly, saying his body could handle no more beatings for the day and he thanked them for their educational training. She didn’t really feel as if they had been very helpful, she felt they had only beaten him up. He barely got to attack, and when he did she caused him injury. Hikari felt as if she had failed her duty as a teacher, and she had no way to reconcile and make up to Takashi for it.
Takashi left them with kind message as he departed, stating he was glad the village was in good hands. Again, the kunoichi was doubtful because all they had shown was that they could beat up a genin. As Takashi’s silhouette quickly fled, Hikari gently waved as she called out her farewells, saying goodbye to the shinobi and wishing him the best of luck on the road to becoming a fine ninja.
Once Takashi was out of sight the siblings were left alone once again. Hikari turned to Salzem, mixed emotions waging war on her face, her eyes having returned to normal after she deactivated her Byakugan but reflecting both understanding and worry in them briefly. She wasn’t sure how she felt about the sudden disappearance of their sparring partner, and newest acquaintance, but at the same time she understood him wanting to quickly rest and be at home.
“Uhm, since Takashi had to leave, what would you like to do now?” Her voice was light, the right amount of both quietness and loudness. A small smile crept over her lips as she finished talking.

(What she said <3)
"Well that was disappointing." Salzem grumbled as his orb struck the old man's leg, causing him to cop-out before the fight even really got started. "Educational... good hands... Whatever..." For someone to walk out on a fight like THIS, before Salzem could even throw a punch... It felt like the man had some sort of passive aggression for having been hit at all. It made Salzem not want to let him leave... to merely "encourage" him to continue the fight but such an act would be callow indeed... even if the temptation to give in was incredible. As the pair watched Takashi walk away into the sunset, Hikari turned to him, her face expressing the same disappointment as he did. She looked like she was still eager for a battle, a small smile creeping across her face. He couldn't help but smile himself as an idea came to mind, one that might make up for that disappointing ending to their battle.
"Well... I know what I want to do." The lycan stated, taking a few steps back and drawing his orb back into the field surrounding him. Salzem lowered himself into his fighting stance, his orbs seeming to pick up in speed to match his anticipation. "Fight you now, Hikari. Seriously. At full power." It really was the only way to make up for the shameful display that had just happened; cutting loose and allowing all that built up energy and hype out.
When the lycan said "full-power", this didn't mean deadly force. He wasn't intending to kill her or even hurt her badly... But he was intending to see how seriously she had taken her training. He wanted to see how much she had honed her taijutsu abilities among the rest of them because what kind of teacher would he be if he didn't give his student a "pop-quiz?"
"Don't hold back Hikari or I will be disappointed."

Hikari silently agreed with Salzem that their spar was disappointing, but it couldn’t be helped that the man had to leave. She held no grudge against him for abandoning them, and she looked forward to the next time they met- perhaps he would be stronger next time, and able to knock at least one of them down if not both of them.
Her eyes snapped up, the veins connected to her eyes hardening underneath her skin as she sought out the power of her Byakugan, as he distanced himself from her, calling his beads back to himself in preparation for their spar. He calmly, a hint of excitement laced through his every word, challenged her to a full out spar, without it being life or death. Hikari did not want to disappoint her teacher, so with a smirk across her lips she too took a few steps back to give them reasonable space, accepting his offer to spar by simply saying, in a challenging tone and a glint of fire in her eyes, “I shall not disappoint you, little brother, so long as you don’t disappoint me.”
Although they had seen each other very recently when he taught her how to “fancily punch things”, they had yet to complete the spar he promised her would have taken place the following day. This spar, between the two of them now, was in honor of that day. Therefore, Hikari would be focusing on refining her taijutsu, using both the techniques in her arsenal and the ones memorized in her mind, having laid dormant until a moment such as this to arise. She was prepared for this day, even if the results favored Salzem in the end, she would fight with everything she had, hoping to do at least a tiny bit of damage to Salzem in order to prove to him that his teachings were not in vain.
Taking his lowered fighting stance to signal that he was prepared for her to strike first, Hikari dashed at Salzem with an enhanced speed of 165, easily covering the few meters of distance between them in no time at all. Once she was within close range of Salzem, she thrust her right palm towards his chest. With the thrust of her palm being a speed of 165, she emitted chakra from her hand in a powerful and large wave that had a power of 25, enough to knock over the taller shinobi but not enough to cause any lethal damage. This restricted power was due to her inexperience with the new jutsu, but it was a welcoming drawback at this moment in time for Hikari would have reduced her power slightly anyways in case Salzem did not dodge. Like previously stated, she had no intentions of fighting to the death with her beloved brother. (The technique looks like this).
This jutsu was another clan specialty, known as the Eight Trigrams: Mountain Crusher, due to its ability to send opponents flying great distances that many wind up crashing into rocks (hence the origin of the name). Hikari had read about this jutsu in the same book she had read about the Eight Trigrams: Palms Revolving Heaven technique, which she had gotten from the Konoha Library.
If Salzem was able to dodge the technique, which Hikari figured would be a high possibility due to his superior speed and strength, she would figure what to do when she crossed that bridge.

Right before Hikari began to move, Salzem began to transform into his lycanthrope form (Speed 150), reaching his full shape just as his student closed the distance between them, her palm coming around and charged with chakra. In an instant, Salzem's fur would turn black, his eyes fading into a darker red, a dark mist radiating of Salzem's body almost as if his skin was disintegrating to ash. As the blast came around, Hikari would find that Salzem, in that moment, was gone, disappeared, her blast striking the air while Salzem slipped to her left (speed 215). The lycan's eyes were angry... wild... mad... His instincts had taken over to the point that he saw almost everything around him as a threat... including his own student... With blinding speed, Salzem would slam his fist into Hikari's cheek, returning the favor for the blow she had attempted to land (Speed 215, strength 70). He wouldn't let up with just that, though as he quickly followed up with a swift round-house to her side with the same power and speed, likely sending her flying several meters off in the distance.
To finish off his combo, The lycan suddenly thrusted his hands forward, air beginning to collect right where his palms met the air, the beginning of a technique Hikari SHOULD know well because he showed it to her. A massive tiger-shaped air-bullet shot (10 meters x 10 meters) right at the older hyuuga, ripping across the ground with a vengeance, a loud roar rippling from the technique as if it were alive. (speed 100, strength 75).
Salzem would watch and wait for any sign of movement he could react to, waiting for the blast to either strike Hikari... He wasn't about to make it explode... a 50 meter explosion wouldn't do. Even if he was a mad beast, he knew who his friends were...

To finish off his combo, The lycan suddenly thrusted his hands forward, air beginning to collect right where his palms met the air, the beginning of a technique Hikari SHOULD know well because he showed it to her. Although it was her second witnessing his transformation, it still surprised her nonetheless how he could turn from a young, albeit tall, young man into a menacing, giant werewolf with pure white fur and piercing red eyes. The Hyuuga did not expect to transform so early in their spar, it was a sign he was going all out right from the start. She wasn’t surprised as he easily vanished before her technique hit, the chakra blast pummeling the air where he once stood. Although she swore not to use ninjutsu, Hikari was making an exception to the rule in order to give her a more fair advantage with Salzem, as he could move with speeds she could not even hope to achieve.
Right as he vanished and her jutsu left her palms, Hikari’s mind went on the defensive, preparing for his onslaught of attacks that she knew would be coming her way. Without any delay she called upon her lightning chakra, having it surge throughout her body, the lightning that coursed through her ionized her neurons to give her an increased neurotransmission rate that enhanced her speed and strength by 30. This was her Lightning Javelin jutsu, and she was very thankful for having learned it many months ago, for it has proven to be a very useful jutsu.
Salzem was to the left of the kunoichi, his werewolf form full of intensity she had not seen the previous time; it was as if he had transformed fully into an animal, he was no longer human full of useless human emotions, all he had left inside of his was the instinct of survival. Hikari was his only target, the thing trying to threaten his existence, at least in his animalistic mind. This made the young girl even more worried, and had her on her toes to keep up a steady defense until his lycan form returned to a normal, less wild sense of mind.
As she was performing the Lightning Javelin jutsu, she shifted into a back weighted stance, her left foot behind her and supporting the majority of her weight while her arms were clasped in fists above her mouth but below her eyes. Her left arm was a fist’s distance away from her body while her right arm was two fist’s distance away from her body, just like her teacher had shone her a few days before. This was all Hikari could do before Salzem suddenly appeared before her, his fist roaring towards her face at a blinding speed. Thanks to her stance, she was able to block her cheek from the impact with her left forearm, the force of the hit fracturing if not breaking a few bones underneath the skin where he hit. Hikari’s face twisted in pain as she winced, the pain searing through her. Yet her brother was not finished yet, as he roundhouse kicked her left torso, the speed and strength sending another shock of pain reverberating throughout her body. Due to such strength, her petite frame was launched several meters away, her body colliding with the earth a couple of times before finally coming to a stop about twelve meters from where he hit her.
Despite her pain Hikari forced herself to stand up, shakily lifting off of the ground just in time as Salzem sent a massive tiger shaped blast of air right at her, a jutsu she has seen the lycan use three times now and yet she was always never prepared for it. This time, however, with only a couple of meters distance between them closing in quickly, Hikari made a dash to her right at a speed of 145 to dodge the air bullet as it came at her.
Then Hikari ran in the direction the Daytime Tiger air blast had just come from, heading towards Salzem unless he decided to dodge her yet again. This time the girl had no intentions of using her Gentle Fist style of fighting, instead she was relying on a new technique she had read about in the taijutsu book she had gotten from the Konoha Library, the same day she had gotten the book regarding her Gentle Fist fighting style. If Hikari got close enough to be within punching range of Salzem, she would unleash a fury of punches with her right arm, an aura radiating off of her in the form of flames, at a speed of 195 and a strength of 75. She was paying him back for the injuries he caused her by using the Morning Peacock technique.

Salzem's punch managed to be blocked, though Hikari showed some distinct difficulty in keeping her arm up... perhaps even pain. However, that didn't stop the lycan from whirling around and slamming his foot into her torso, sending her flying back several meters, possibly doing even more damage. However, the young (older) hyuuga managed to duck out of the way of the oncoming air-blast, dashing to the right to avoid the massive tiger-head. However, the girl then began to run right at the seething black lycan, her fists tightening, her arms bulking up as she did so.
Salzem did the same, managing to close the distance faster than Hikari, but the moment the two of them got in range of each other, they both let off a barrage of fists, each of their knuckles slamming into each-other, sending fire-ball-like aura spouting out every which way. The ground seemed to shake as their knuckles collided (strength 75, speed 215), the air seemed to pop with punch thrown, and the stones beneath them rose as the two kept up their assault, attempting to out-do the other. However... While Salzem was able to take that continued blows to his fists, his skin hardly even being scratched by the force (Health 110), the older hyuuga would start to feel her bones begin to stress as the assault went on, her shoulders beginning to scream out as they suffered the wrath of the lycan's blows. In addition, while she was keeping pace with him rather well, the lycan had longer range with his larger form and moved a little bit faster, allowing him to sneak in the odd-punch to her cheek, her rib, the flat of her chest. This also allowed her to get in a few more blows herself, though they seemed to merely glance of the black-lycan's hide, his body simply too tough to be effected.
At the end of the technique and with one mighty punch (75 strength 215 speed) aimed at the girl's cheek, Salzem would flex his fingers, his dark claws gleaming in the sunlight.
