Mao Hyuuga • Kirigakure • Genin Exam

Tsuki had beat him to the first step, but Mao was not so far behind. As the eldest brother, it was his responsibility to be at the top of selections. Not for himself, but for his father. His father expected and required nothing but the best from his eldest son. Thus, here Mao was today, back at the shinobi academy. He had learned a lot from here during his stay and experience, but now it was time to move on. Like many there with Mao, they were waiting their turn to perform the Genin exam. Pass or fail was the only two options- the material for the test by the proctors were not hard at all. In fact, Mao had learned the required jutsu from his adorable little sister Tsuki. The proctor for the Genin exam was one of the teachers from the shinobi academy, a man that Mao had gotten to know somewhat- a decent man with an earnest heart and desire to teach beginner shinobi the proper basics."Okay, who's next on the list? Hmmm.. Oh. Mao Hyuuga, it is your turn for the Genin exam. Come forward."

Upon his name being called, he looked upwards at the proctor. Mao had witnessed the several last exams, mostly all passing with little difficulty. He himself was confident in his own ability, thus he didn't hesitate at all when the proctor requested him to step forward for his Genin exam. A few quick footsteps brought him from near the back of the room, forward and standing in front of the proctor, ready and awaiting his first instruction. "Like the others, start with the Clone jutsu please." said the proctor, giving Mao the first block of instructions.

Mao brought his hands up steadily, focusing inward on his own chakra system rather than focusing on the proctor monitoring him. Several quick motions and his hands performed the Ram → Snake → Tiger handsigns. He drew out chakra from his body and molded it before releasing the chakra beside him. His chakra took shape and appearance beside him as an intangible clone of himself appeared beside him. The clone was perfect in mimicry: the proctor stepped forward and moved his hand forward, passing through the clone without resistance just to ensure that it wasn't a trick. He nodded his head in approval and made a check on his little clipboard before continuing. "Okay, good job. Next I want you to perform the Transformation technique. Nothing special or lewd, just something simple." The proctor moved closer and whispered something else. "After you transform, I want you to repeat this password phrase back to me.... The mist of Kirigakure are filled with blood." An odd request, but the point was to ensure that Mao didn't have someone swap places with him. By making him repeat the password phrase, he ensured that it would be the real Mao who transformed.

There was the second block of instructions. Mao's clone disappeared with the breeze of wind that rushed by for a moment. "I can do this. The first one went by without any issue, so I'll just do this like I did with Tsuki-chan in the training room back at home. The question was: what was he to transform into? A simple choice really, but when you have so many options, choosing any one particular thing could be challenging. A familiar form was best, something that he knew well. That was the safest bet for transformations, not something unfamiliar- it least not for this Genin exam. This was not the time to be indecisive however. he already knew someone well, someone he had already used once for the transformation technique. He would transform to look like little adorable Tsuki-chan. Inwardly he smiled at the small irony as he brought up his hands again in preparation.

The Transformation technique was considered one of the most difficult academy jutsu, as such, Mao felt a little trepidation in being scrutinized. He had done it once already, so surely it wouldn't prove any more difficult. Dog → Boar → Ram went his hands quickly as he brought his chakra up from his center and molded it as it flowed throughout his body. He felt the chakra flow and began to take form as a sudden poof of smoke overtook his body, obscuring him from the view of the proctor momentarily. After several seconds, the smoke began to clear, slowly revealing not elder brother Mao, but the figure of his cute little sister Tsuki-chan. Surely if she had found out he used her for the Genin exam, she would be embarrassed but delighted that she had been so much help to her big brother.

Pink hair, fair skin... and more importantly, a feminine body. Mao looked at the proctor expectantly and repeated the password phrase, in Tsuki's voice of course. "The mists of Kirigakure are filled with blood." he repeated effortlessly. The proctor nodded in approval. Most people chose someone of the same gender for the transformation technique. Changing gender was a little more diffcult, especially with the voice. Yet Mao did it just fine, so the proctor checked him off as complete and gave him a passing grade. Mao release dthe hold on his transformation and thanked the man before returning to his household to report his success to both his father and of course his little sister Tsuki-chan.

Okay Mao, you've got my trial approval and all, but allow me to point out a few things for your future reference.

Generally you need to wait until your training of techniques is complete and approved before posting with the techniques anywhere at all. This includes your genin exam when it comes to the clone and transformation techniques. Only once a mod looks over your training and approved your gained abilities by reading it and making sure the appropriate word count was done can you then add the techniques in question to your stat page and proceed to use them in other threads.

In regards to your genin exam, usually this is npc'd by either a staff member, or more commonly by a chunin or higher ranked ninja in the village you are in. Usually you'd simply make the topic with the first post being you merely requesting a proctor. In which case someone would reply as soon as they were able to set up your exam.

Buuuuut since you've already done the word count this is trial approved, which DOES NOT mean you're a genin quite yet. A full mod will need to read over as well and make sure I did not in fact make a mistake here. Expect someone to come along as soon as they are able.

Noted Valen, thanks for your hard work. I would point out that the rules say a staff proctor isn't required. It says someone of your village Chuunin+ may proctor your Genin exam OR you may write an 800wc post. I chose the latter.
