Home Away From Home
Thu Jun 22, 2017 1:23 pm
It took him a while, making a few pits stops on the way but he was finally here. In this new village which he was hoping would accept him in essentially as a refugee. He was forced to leave him home in Suna due to some unfortunate circumstances. Now he found himself back in Konoha. He had once been here before, during a trip he had taken due to being a member of the Nazar. Every Nazar member had to do a coming of age journey. Kinzoku's lead him to Konoha. He remembered how beautiful this place was, not like the barren desert Suna was. As nice as this place was though Suna would always be his home. This place felt oddly cold. Even with him wearing all his black clothing and black cloak over. Maybe he was just to use to the heat that anything below the temperature of Suna was "cold" to him.
With his steel hand he placed a cigar into his mouth taking a couple of puffs while adjusting his hat with his other hand. Now standing at the gates of the hidden leaf village, Kinzoku took a look around to see if anyone were around. He didn't like the idea of entering into the village un-announced, but if there were no one at the gates to greet him then he would be forced to do so. Either way, the first place he was heading to wouldn't be his family, who he was hoping made it here safely from suna as well. No, but he'd be heading to the Hokage chamber. There were a few things that needed to be discussed.

(So...Kinzoku posted in Konoha in this topic before this one was resolved (not even a post forcing his way into the village claiming entry or nothing). I request that his entry is voided, that topic voided and anything he's done in the village since voided until this is resolved.)(In addition, does he even have a character? That grey is the most confusing thing).
Salzem was overseeing the reconstruction of the village wall, one Ryu was so callous to ruin only a little while before. He was, needless to say, frustrated with the unnecessary damage to one of Konoha's most stalwart defenses over something so petty. Nevertheless, repairs were going right on scheduled and a tight one it was, no time for relaxation or overly-long breaks. With how the world was going, with the rumor-mill rolling out products like it too had a schedule to keep, he had to get this wall back up and functioning. It was as he was bringing a few large logs up to the construction site did he notice a man standing RIGHT IN IT, near the wall as if he had a right to be there... He had not a Konoha headband nor any visible ninja-gear that Salzem could see... He had one armored hand, a sort of strange hat and a cigar in his mouth, standing there all cool-like, no doubt aware of the effort he was putting in to appear that way. Immediately, this man got on his nerves for his audacity and his stupid placement of himself putting everyone in danger. Secondly, he was new and he might pose a potential threat to the village and this was something he couldn't abide. The man began to move towards the open gates where supplies rolled through, seemingly making an attempt at sneaking inside... The bastard... The lycan gritted his teeth, forcing down a frustrated growl as he, at a speed of 125, appeared in front of the man, a defensive glare in his eyes.
"Can I help you, sir?" Salzem asked, clearly frowning.

(I didn't think this need resolving, but I have no problem doing so before the other topic proceeds. The other one can be voided till this is resolved no problem. I haven't done anything else in Konoha. And yes i have a character lol, just click my name at the bottom of all my posts)
Kinzoku was seemingly entering at the Gates of Konoha which happened to be in reconstruction. OBVIOUSLY not trying to sneak in as he had no reason to sneak into a village he was trying to make his new home, he simply walked on the side making sure he was well out of the way of the people hard at work fixing the mistakes of the Konoha shinobi. Had someone damaged their gates, someone must not have been doing their job very well to allow the gates of their own village to be destroyed on such a level that it needed this must reconstruction and people working on it. Before Kinzoku knew it, he'd be meeting one of the konoha shinobi who failed to protect the gates of his own village. Seemingly out of no where the Nazar sensed the chakra presence of someone. Before he knew it that same chakra signature was now standing directly in front of him. The man was clearly on edge, and Kinzoku didn't blame him. Maybe he felt guilty for not having stopped whoever did this to his village's gates.
"Maybe you can" Kinzoku replied to the man with a friendly grin. He was clearly on edge, no point in Kinzoku being hostile as well and only aggravating a man he hoped to call his fellow shinobi. "I've come a long way, from Suna" Kinzoku added as he reached into his cloak, slowly to show he was not pulling a weapon, and pulled out his former Suna head guard as proof. "As you may or may not know, the Hidden Sand Village is no longer. I've come to Konoha, known allies of Suna to seek refuge and hopefully join your ranks. If your question truly held merit and you truly wish to help me, my first plan of action is to meet your Hokage. I'm sure there is much to discuss that your Hokage may want to know." Kinzoku spoke the truth, hoping his words would put the Konoha nin at ease, which was unlikely. After his gates seemed to have been attacked, and assuming he had heard what happened in Suna, he had every right to be on edge. It was Kinzoku's job to show there was nothing to fear. Kinzoku wanted to help prevent what happened to Suna from occurring here. The quickest way to do so was meeting the Hokage.

(thank you for cooperating. Even if the alotted time had passed, you must claim entry after no one has come to stop you. This is procedure. Please and thank you. I won't take up any more of yer time)
Salzem let out a sigh of distaste and disappointment as it was revealed that another of the disgruntled Suna-folk had come seeking answers, to whom Salzem appeared to be the gate-keeper. After what happened with Ryu burning down the damned gates, he would've been well within his jurisdiction to throw this guy out on his butt, at least until their damaged property was fixed. He wouldn't do this however because Salzem felt personally responsible for his cowardice back in Sunagakure, that he didn't even TRY to defend his friends... as angry as he was, he couldn't take it out on this poor pilgrim-of-sorts looking for answers.
"Yeah, I know what happened at Suna." Salzem acknowledged, shrugging his shoulders and frowning in an effort to hide his guilt. "I was there." The man went on to question Salzem's question of aid, stating that if he really did want to help him, he would escort him right to the Hokage. Yeah... second person to ask that but at least this one didn't try to burn down their walls... Dammit Ryu...
"Yeah..." He sighed, standing aside, allowing for the other ninja to pass. "Just... fill out the papers acknowledging your arrival in the lobby of the Hokage's office. Talk to the secretary about setting up a meeting with the Hokage..." Salzem looked at the man quietly, heavily in silent apology. "Welcome to Konoha."
With that the lycan would go back, pick up his logs and drag them back to the construction-site, getting back to work and pushing this whole situation out of his mind.... He needed this wall up by the end of the week and Kage-help him if he didn't succeed.
(Allowing Kinzoku to pass)

It turns out the man knew what happened in Suna because he had been one of the Konoha shinobi there. He must have been apart of the Jounin exams they had been holding at the time. "You're already a better man than me" Kinzoku said in an attempt to cheer the man up. He was clearly distraught at the memory of what happened in Suna. "I was out on a mission. By the time I had gotten back the damage was already done."
The man stepped aside allowing Kinzoku to pass as well as informing him what he should do if he wishes to have an acquaintance with the Hokage. "Thank you" Kinzoku replied to both the instructions as well as the welcoming message, tipping his hat just slightly at the same time. Sticking the cigar back into his mouth, he placed his hands into a jacket pocket and began down the long road into the village. He turned for a brief moment having just realized he never got the name of the ninja. But when he turned he noticed the man was already back at work repairing the gates. Maybe another time. With that he turned back and headed for the Hokage's building to make an appointment with their leader and hopefully become a ninja of the hidden leaf village.
