New Beginning

It seemed the Hokage approved of Kinzoku's perception of what The Will of Fire was. Kinzoku was glad to see that. If he were to be accepted into the ranks of the Konoha ninja that is how he would see himself best fitting in. With his love of simply helping people out he would likely have no problem fitting in. Lo and behold that's where the conversation moved to next, having Kinzoku instated into the Konoha ninja force. The Hokage informed him that he was going to have to fill out the stack of papers she was currently holding. Judging by the size of the stack Kinzoku estimated it would take him a couple hours at best to complete the whole thing. He hadn't expected any less.

"Thank you Lady Hokage" Kinzoku replied to her mention of being reinstated as his former rank in Suna, proceeding to grabbing hold of the stack of papers. He pulled it in towards him as he remained in his seat, glancing over the first few pages just to get a feel for what was to be expected. Lastly, he was asked if he had any questions. With that he looked back up at her for just a brief moment, contemplating how he should go about the question. But instead he decided to be a straight shooter and simply ask.

"What was the purpose of this Ryu Reinhard's visit to Konoha?" He clearly wasn't seeking refuge if he was the one who attacked the gates, so why come in the first place? It truly intrigued with Nazar. Maybe it had something to do with what happened to Suna, in which case Kinzoku would only want to know more of. He only hoped it wasn't classified information.

"That is a wonderful question," she shrugged, she didn't much mind sharing what hindsight proved to be a rather humorous encounter all things considered. "The boy seemed to be out of sorts. He claimed to be coming to tell Konohagakure about what happened in Sunagakure. However, he also under the impression that the Leaf had allowed Sunagakure to fall. So, when no one met him at the gates right away he took it upon himself to burn down our gates in some misguided act of retribution."

She paused and allowed the absurdity of the situation she had described to sink. No, Ryu had not been of sound mind, to say the least. Perhaps she should have put him down? Well, time would tell.

"Honestly though?" Her tone took a sharp turn. "He was lucky to walk away with his. If that is all then I will leave you with this paperwork, I have another meeting in an hour I need to prepare for."

The Hokage fell silent and waited for a reply. Naturally, she could indulge whatever question the man had, but she really did have a meeting she had to attend. For some reason, the council liked when she reported to them in person. Strange, right?

Kinzoku sat there quietly yet attentively as he listened to the Hokage answer his question. He was waiting to hear the reason for his visit to Konoha, expecting to have come with some sort of information. However when the Hokage paused after giving the answer, Kinzoku raised a single eye brow in confusion. "That's seriously why he came" Kinzoku said. Although it sounded like a question, it was actually Kinzoku trying to convince himself that what he heard was actually the reason for Ryu's visit. In short, he was gravely disappointed. He had been expecting more. Not someone accusing Konoha for letting Suna perish. The man must truly be foolish. 

"Well, I'm sure he won't be paying a visit here anytime soon" Kinzoku replied to the Hokage's remarks about Ryu being lucky. With that, he pushed himself up from the chair grabbing hold of the stack of papers in one hand in his hat in the other. "Thank you for your time Lady Hokage" as he gave a short courteous bow. "I'll have these back before sundown" he added before concluding his bow and turning around. Making his way to the door, he slipped his hat back on before proceeding to exiting the office and leaving the Hokage to her duties.
