Meeting other "wanderers" at the sea
Thu Jul 06, 2017 10:49 am
Raven silently reaching the windy shores, took in a big breath of fresh and refreshing salty sea air. He stayed standing with his eyes closed and just feeling the wind caress his face. Deciding to settle down for the day, he quickly set upon to fishing up a few fish so as to quell his growing hunger. Taking his hood down to let some fresh air in, he quickly made a makeshift harpoon from the branches near the trees and started to fish while in the water.
After a few hours of hard work, Raven finally had a small camp going on. He put the fish on the fire and waiting for it to cook, when suddenly he felt as if someone was watching him, observing him.
Knowing it was pointless to put it off, he called out to the person who was tingling his senses, "You know, if you wanted to have fish, you could have said so and I would have caught a few extra" in his signature monotonous voice. He heard shuffling in the bushes nearby and saw an average sized man coming out, looking at Raven eerily.
Raven observed the man. The man had long dark brown/ black hair as he couldn't completely make sure due to the darkness of the night. He wore some sort of sunglasses, which confused Raven as to why a person would need sunglasses at almost night time. And the way the man moved clearly indicated that the man had some sort of shinobi training, which made Raven instantly put up his guard.
Raven then politely yet in an emotionless way asked "You are?" ....

(Invasion)
Sorethin moved along the shore, enjoying the sea air for a change and moved aimlessly down the sandy beach. He took in a deep breath to get a good whiff of the aforementioned air before nothing something interesting ahead. A man, clearly younger than himself by a few years. With blood red hair, purple eyes, and was wearing all black. His yukata clearly had a hood that the young man had probably let down to enjoy the air as he did. He sighed and wondered if the boy could be useful, nodding his head he moved toward him to find out, moving at a calm and relaxed pace. If he couldn't use him, he'd simply kill him. He moved slowly, his white hair flowing in the sea breeze as his own black coat trailed about him in the wind. He would move closer to the boy before saying anything. "Hello, my name is Sorethin, I couldn't help but notice you fishing and was wondering if you might enjoy a bit of company." He said simply, arms open in an inviting manner as he moved up, showing that he was clearly unarmed.
If allowed he would move closer to the man, before placing a single hand on his shoulder in a gesture of friendliness. "Can I help you catch some fish? We can easily get plenty to feed us for a day or two and travel together for a bit." He would say with a small smile, he had his own ways of obtaining fish if need be, he could always use his bloodline threads, but he'd rather not reveal those until it was too late.
If the man responded he'd simply smile, nod, and gather a nearby stick to sharpen into a spear for fishing, or take any proffered equipment the boy might have to join him. Hell if the red haired youth wanted to ask him to keep fishing while he built the fire that'd work fine, although he'd rather be the one starting the fire. Can't in his right mind turn his back to someone he didn't trust now could he?
If he didn't respond, then he'd cause three threads to shoot out of the palm of the hand that was on the crimson haired victims shoulder. Should this happen the threads would travel into Raven's skin with their superior sharpness as if they were a knife through butter. Two threads would travel toward the heart, intent on yanking it out of his chest in a mass of blood and gore while the other would wrap continuously around his spine before yanking it out of his back.

(Don't know how it happened.... but meh. Since Setsuna isn't responding might as well)
Not fully trusting the stranger as any good shinobi, but knowing that it would be a major hassle to start a fight then and there itself, and would bring any nearby shinobi towards the sounds of fighting if it started, he decided to go along and see what the strange man, who clearly was a shinobi, wanted from him.
Raven then adorning his emotionless persona once again, calmly said "Let me go on and help you fish some more. The fire has already been started might as well make good use of it. And since it is good manners, my name is Raven. I don't often see shinobi around these parts, so forgive me for being so curious but, may I ask as to what brings you here Sorethin-san. "
Raven casually makes his way to the shore, while priming up his chakra chains just in case a fight breaks out. Taking a fishing pole and trying to downplay his accuracy missed a couple of fishes. Raven then soon catches up a fish.
Then turns towards Sorethin while never letting down his guard.
Raven spoke "Well?" ........

(Actually, Sorethin has absolutely no identifying markers about him being a shinobi. The only way you could know is if you have chakra sensory or I used a shinobi technique, the same goes for you, I never mentioned you were a shinobi. I have no idea IC.)
Sorethin would raise an eyebrow at this "Shinobi? Do you see a headband on me boy? My father grew up down the coast as a fisherman and raised me the same. He died a few years ago though. I just never left." He'd explain as he picked up a second fishing pole and using it rather than crafting a spear. "Sorethin is my name lad, just a fisherman by trade. I was out enjoying the sea breeze when I saw you. I didn't expect to be fishing today though, hence the lack of equipment." He'd explain as he expertly used the rod to reel in a decently sized fish from the sea. He'd quickly recast to keep up the momentum of the catch.
"What about you? I don't see many around these parts." He would say with a smile before pulling out an apple and taking a bite before offering it to Raven. "Want one?" He'd ask, having more apples in a satchel on one of his belts. "They're fresh." He'd say, taking another bite and focusing on holding the rod, if he got a bite he'd simply drop the apple and reel in the fish. He could always get more later.
"Are you a shinobi?" He'd ask curiously with a raised eyebrow, looking for a mode of conversation. "I don't have any money if you are..So please don't rob me.." He'd say in slight fear with a widened eyes. Of course this was all an act, he was more than ready to kill the young man the moment he had a chance. Unless he proved useful of course.
So he simply continued, tossing out the line, reeling in the fish. He truly has a good fisherman, it was one of the survival skills his parents taught him at a younger age. He'd simply keep up the charade, making sure he did nothing that would prove him to be a shinobi. "How do you think chakra works? I've seen a few shinobi run along the waters here and it always interested me in how they could do that..." He'd ask wondering if his impromtu fishing partner knew the answer.

Raven just sighed and said, obviously not believing the man in front of him, even if he wasn't a shinobi it was better safe then sorry, "I just guessed you to be a shinobi, sneaking around not making any noise while you walk. As for chakra..... I have read a few books about it but, never seemed to be able to grasp the concept. Maybe you would if I narrate out what I read. After all I have good memory. It goes something like this :
'Chakra is created when two other forms of energy, known collectively as one's "stamina", are molded together. Physical energy is collected from each and every one of the body's cells and can be increased through training, stimulants, and exercise. Spiritual energy is derived from the mind's consciousness and can be increased through studying, meditation, and experience. These two energies becoming more powerful will in turn make the created chakra more powerful. Therefore, practicing a technique repeatedly will build up experience, increasing one's spiritual energy, and thus allowing more chakra to be created. As a result, the ninja is able to do that same technique with more power. This same cycle applies for physical energy, except the ninja needs to increase their endurance instead. Some unique individuals have substantial potential that enable them to exponentially increase their chakra reserves in a relatively short amount of time.
At any given time, a ninja will have a "maximum" amount of chakra that they can form and use before it runs out and they need to rest to replenish it. With practice this maximum can be increased, but to a certain extent as they are limited to the quantity and strength of chakra that their genetics grants them.'
Did you understand that? Because I could never get what physical energy or Spiritual energy they are talking about. Guess that is the difference between me and shinobi. I am just a very smart bookworm... Huh....."
Raven looked to see an expected dumbfounded and baffled expression on the stranger's face.Yet was dissapointed, as the stranger didn't give him the satisfaction of the baffled expression.
Raven sighed once again for the strange man who denied plausibility of being a shinobi, to get his bearings back.

(You can't control my expressions, you can't control anything about my character at all)
Sorethin would nod his head at the explanation listening to the well read young man recite a textbook definition of chakra. He continued to cast and reel in fish for a few more minutes deciding it was time to end the charade. They were standing just a few feet away from each other, easily within arms reach. He would note that they were both too far away from the branches, trees, or the small camp the boy had made to substitute. And the shores themselves were barren of anything other than them. He would suddenly and without any kind of difference to his body language or attitude he would immediately fire out his threads from every angle of his body. The 50 sharpness, 50 strength,50 speed, and 45 health appendages would fire out from every conceivable angle from his body. Hundreds of threads would shoot out of his body at a pace that the young man next to him almost wouldn't be able to even follow. Much less react to, the sudden assault would become a literal death zone for the boy. As Sorethin turned himself into a literal porcupine of death right next to the lad. If the boy were to try to counter with something, anything he would spawn five more threads for every threat to handle it.
All the while Sorethin would continue to reel in fish over and over again sparing merely a glance at the boy that would instantly be killed from the sudden assault. Just to make sure he didn't try anything funny or cheeky. Of course this would cause Sorethin to be almost completely stark naked as his own clothes would be in tatters and falling off due to the spawning of all of the threads.

(Removed expression control. Sorry about that.. thought it would be funny....)
Noticing something feeling wrong, Raven tensed up, and brought his guard up. Knowing that the stranger in front of him was dropping his disguise, Raven decided that it was high time, they stopped beating around the bush.
So Raven looking nonchalant, threw another line into the water and said "Well, since we both know what is up, let's get down to business shall we? I have never liked beating around the bushes nor do I like to skirt around the edges. So then, what do you want from me?"
Priming up his chakra chains even further and trying to find something around to substitute with, whether in the water or nearby logs or sticks or trunks. Finding nothing, he sighed and started planning up. He could rely on his clearly superior stamina(due to Uzumaki and I have seen your stats) and speed to outlast the fight between them. Knowing that he would need to have some or the other defense, he accepted that if worst comes to worst, he would have to activate his chains. But knowing that he cannot activate them early due to their massive consumption of chakra(and AP. Have you seen the AP costs OMG!!!). Also activating them now would give away his bloodline immediately.
He then sighed and waited for the stranger to answer

(Sorry buddy, but substitution won't work on a fish, and either way it's range is only ten meters, my threads have a twenty meter range, and I do not believe you would be able to form the three hand seals fast enough. Feel free to call for a mod though.)
