Because Kibbles asked nicely
Wed Jul 26, 2017 7:26 pm
It was a beautiful day and Alice refused to be cooped up in Hikari's apartment by herself while the kunoichi worked. It had been a couple of days since the Nara had first arrived and the two girls seemed to be hitting it off well. Today she chose to visit the palace. She had never seen an actual palace before and hoshi was pretty much the only place she was going to get the chance. So off she went, wandering around aimlessly through the village until she either found it or found something more interesting to occupy her time.

It was time!
Akemi stood boldly at his front door, the warm breeze gently ruffling his raven-black hair as his bleak gaze shifted along the streets. He was in a rather good mood, probably due to the lovely weather or something. In fact, the heat may be making him delusional, for Akemi had cooked up possibly one of the worst plans to date. You see, Akemi was a rather shy young gentleman, he struggled to speak to people his age without stuttering and blushing like mad. Now, speaking with people his age was bad enough, but talking with girls? That was out of the question, he thought back to the time he had spoken to Hikari. It had not gone well, at all. Thank god she seemed to be socially blind or something, as she did not even make a note of his shyness.
Akemi's plan was simple, all he had to do, was go and speak to some random strangers. It would help him with his shyness, while simultaneously helping to develop his small-talk skills. Brilliant plan... Right?
With his plan in mind, Akemi set off towards the city-square. Finding it almost physically impossible to even begin speaking with someone. He ended up just looking like an absolute creep, as all he did, was just walk up to people while blushing, his mouth moving but without words being created. The resulting expression was similar to one of a blushing fish out of the water, gasping for air.
Anyway, the day continued Akemi's social skills not even developing slightly. He did, however, manage to initiate a small conversation with the person serving him coffee, they had had an interesting conversation about the lovely weather which was happening during the day. Akemi had been pretty pleased with himself, a rare occurrence. What, with his low-self esteem and what not.
Eventually, Akemi's small strides took him to the illustrious Royal Palace where he spoke to a few more people about how nice it looked. Soon after arriving at the palace, he came face-to-face with a strange-looking girl. She had an eye patch for some odd reason and was wearing a.... School uniform? That came as a bit of a shock to Akemi, as the girl looked to be roughly his age. Anyway, he had to show the world that he, Akemi Hiyu, was not a shy person!
"Ermm... Hi," Akemi said, immediately regretting this decision as his cheeks were burning a distinct crimson. Nonetheless, he had started this conversation, he would see it through to the end!

Of course her lovely stroll would be interrupted by some kid. A shy kid at that, judging by his flushed cheeks. She really didn't have time for this.
"Uh hi. Sorry I have to go."
Was her only response before quickly turning and leaving the boy standing there, no doubt confused and probably a bit offended. Not that Alice actually cared about that. So she left the area quickly and decided to head off to the nature preserve instead.

(OOC: sorry Kibbles! Something came up and I have to exit. Raincheck!)

... Apparently, the end of the conversation was much, much earlier than he had previously anticipated. As the random girl left, Akemi felt a little ashamed of himself. Dangit, why did he always mess up conversations with girls? He sighed, hanging his adorable head in shame, the fluffy raven strands of his hair hanging over his face. This little day-trip had only served to be a further detriment to his social anxiety. He sincerely wondered if he would rack the bravery to do this kind of thing again.
Probably not, as much as he didn't want to admit it.
So, with his head hung low, and his anxiety only furthered, Akemi walked home and spent the rest of the day reading books. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. Hopefully, he would get a chance to speak with this girl again, she seemed like a relatively nice person. And that totally wasn't his teenage hormones talking, no way hosay.
