The Promotion[Genin Exam]

Finally the day had come for Jason to take his graduation exam and join the ranks of Konoha's shinobi. After today, assuming everything went well, he would finally be a Genin of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. He had gotten up early, making sure everything was in order and dressing for the ordeal ahead. Now he was sitting in the classroom, waiting for his name to be called so that he could get this over with. The anticipation was making him kind of antsy, hopefully he would be called soon so that he could finally advance.

"Alright, next up. Jason Senju" Kinzoku said as he looked down at the pad he had in hand. With his free, steel hand holding the pencil, he made an X next to the name of the previous student. He failed. Hopefully the next one would be more promising, with carrying the name of Senju and all. Once Jason took his place in front of Kinzoku, he would look up from his pad and observe the kid. "Alright Jason, please perform the Transformation technique followed by the Clone technique to the best of your ability. Relax, and take your time. Good luck" he ended, observing the academy student.

There it was, his name finally being called. Jason stood up slowly, and calmly made his way down to stand in front of the proctor. He was ready for this, to finally prove himself worthy to graduate from the academy and join Konoha's ranks as a fully fledged shinobi, albeit only as a Genin. Still, he had to start somewhere. This was the first of many steps towards his goal of eventually becoming the strongest ninja in the village, becoming the shield for his enormous family, the one person that everybody could depend on, the Hokage of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. That goal was still very far off, but he would be that much closer to it after this exam. 

When he was in finally in front of the proctor, Jason was told to first perform the transformation technique, and then follow it up with the clone technique. He had already mastered the use of both ages ago. He knew he would need them in order to graduate from the academy after all. 

"Yes sir."

Without further hesitation, Jason began molding his chakra and controlling the flow within his body just as he had been taught by numerous instructors at the academy as well as that girl, Queen. It was easier now than it had been when he first joined the academy. There was no struggle or strain to his body, no real fatigue that accompanied the use of jutsu. It took the same amount of energy now as it did to breathe or walk. He really had grown in his time at the ninja academy of Konohagakure no Sato. His hands came together pointedly, his fingers smoothly interlacing to form three hand seals: Dog, Boar, Ram. 

There was a cloud of smoke that quickly surrounded Jason and dispersed, revealing his new form. It was no longer that of the black haired youth that was taking the graduation exam, but instead there stood a young girl with short black hair stopping at shoulder length. She wore an eye patch over her left eye and clothes that resembled that of a school uniform. Jason smiled at the proctor, folding his hands behind his back as he did so. Then, he did a short little twirl to demonstrate that his entire body had actually been transformed by use of the jutsu. When it seemed the proctor was satisfied, Jason dispelled the technique and prepared to do the clone jutsu instead as he had been instructed.

"I hope that was to your expectations, sensei. Now I will demonstrate my use of the clone technique," he said respectfully to the proctor. 

Again, Jason focused on molding his chakra. It still amazed him how effortless it was for him to do this now. He couldn't help smiling at the thought of his own growth. It was truly astounding to see how far he had come in such a short amount of time, from a mere civilian with no grasp of chakra control whatsoever to being able to use ninjutsu with almost no effort at all. He had already proved that both to himself, and to the proctor in charge of this particular graduation exam only moments ago when he perfectly executed the transformation technique. Of course it was only an E ranked jutsu that any ninja and even academy student should be able to perform without difficulty, but that wasn't the point. The point was that there was immense growth, and that even more was yet to come. He need only continue his training and moving forward on the path that he chose for himself.

Once more Jason brought his hands together to form the necessary hand seals in order to perform the technique that had been required of him in order to pass this exam and graduate to become a fully fledged ninja. First he formed the Ram seal, followed by the Snake seal, and finished it off with his hands coming together in the Tiger seal. Once more the young Senju's body was enveloped in a slight cloud of white smoke, symbolizing the activation of the E ranked clone technique. This specific jutsu doesn't create corporeal clones like the B ranked shadow clone technique does. Instead, it merely creates illusionistic clones of the user that are limited to performing the exact same actions the user does. Realistically, it isn't very useful in actual combat situations. Jason was convinced that the only reason it even existed was to help teach academy students how to precisely control their chakra early on so that they wouldn't struggle as much when learning more advanced techniques.

When the smoke cleared, there was not just one Jason Senju standing there, but three of them. He had made two entirely perfect copies of himself right there in the classroom just as the proctor had instructed him to. Once again Jason began to demonstrate that he had used the technique accurately. This time he just did some simple movements like raising and then lowering his right arm, and turning slowly around 360 degrees, stopping when he once more faced the proctor. Of course, both of the clones mirrored his every action. Just as he did before, Jason dispelled the technique when it looked like the proctor was satisfied. Now that what he was asked to do was finished, he patiently waited for the judgement on his performance. Soon he would know whether or not he was to be promoted to Genin.

Kinzoku watched Jason demonstrate the Transformation technique. With the puff of a smoke, Jason went from male to female, at least he thought. He didn't want to offend anyone by assuming their gender, so he just kept his mouth shut. But the jutsu was performed perfectly. Kinzoku couldn't see any of Jason's own features behind the transformation. After a nice little twirl to confirm it, the canceled the jutsu. "Well done Jason. Now the next one" he instructed, watching carefully as Jason went. Hand seals performed perfectly, like the prior jutsu. Yet again with another puff of smoke, it cleared to reveal the jutsu being performed at its fullest. Kinzoku watched as there were now three Jason standing in front of him. When one moved, the other two moved. Kinzoku nodded with a smile on his face. "Well done again" he spoke. "Your hand seals are performed perfectly, you used just the right amount of chakra needed showing great control, and you performed both jutsu down to the tee. Jason Senju, Congratulations. You are now a Genin of Konoha." Reaching over to the desk beside him, Kinzoku grabbed a Konoha head guard and handed it to the newly promoted student. "Make us proud" Kinzoku added after handing the head guard. He then placed a check beside his name on the pad before looking up at the rest of the nervous students. "Next."

The proctor decided quickly, telling Jason he had been promoted to Genin while handing him a shinobi headband and telling the boy to make Konoha proued.

"Thank you very much. I will do my best to aid Konoha in every way that I can," he said as he took the headband from the man. He tied it to his left arm and made his way out of the classroom. He had finally done it. Now on to the next step...
