Salzem glanced in the direction of the newcomer as he joined this macabre party, the young punk he saw once, maybe twice before. OH goody. If this was their front lines, Kiri would have to be all academy students in cardboard armor and just as flimsy skill to be stopped by this tiny group of spartans. Still, despite his quite obvious misgivings, Yen's quiet enthusiasm of his presence made the lycan smile the tiniest bit. He FIRMLY believed that with the two of them there, they SOMEWHAT stood a chance with that hoard of hopefully incompetent ninja in their forests. Yen then repeated his question as he had before when Suna was still Suna, asking if he would stand beside him and defend him so low that only his enhanced hearing could pick it up.

He nodded, barely perceptable a movement, through with how close the two were in their make-shift phalanx, he should be able to notice. The Aburame then mentioned that he had a plan, but one that would require preparation. Once it was complete, Sal would need to make sure that there was a limited amount of their people around lest they fall prey to whatever Yen was planning too. Again, the lycan nodded, not acknowledging his friend's hopes for success.... He didn't need to hear that bit...

The punk asked what was going on and the strange western ninja that could only be described as "high-noon", went and described the utterly damning situation at hand, going on to critique that this was somehow worse than Suna. Salzem opened his mouth to object, stating that at least they were gonna stand their ground and fight like the soldiers they were............

"Oh.... No...." He whispered, his heart coming to a dead stop as he witnessed Risako bending the knee to the tyrant that besieged them. "No... no no no... why.... I...." This couldn't be real... Deceased Kages above, this COULDN'T BE HAPPENING! Salzem shook his head and blinked, staring at the repeating history before them, his whole body going cold.

"This can't be happening again..." OH but it was... Sunagakure as happening ALL over again... The dishonor... the disgrace... Everything was falling to tyrants with no resistance! DID THESE IDIOT LEADERS NOT SEE WHAT THEY WERE DOING!?? Salzem's jaw was literally open in shock at what played out before them all... 

"It is worse..." Salzem agreed, speaking to no one but himself. "We're twice cowards... We didn't defend our allies and now we won't defend ourselves..."

The area had now been cleared. All that remained was the menacing, well organised forces of the intruders and the abysmal, scattered forces of Konoha. Where were the rest of their shinobi, to stand guard at the gate and protect their home from the imminent doom before them? Regardless, it appeared the lack in their numbers would not matter for Risako had bent the knee. Wise decision, she was putting the lives of the villagers and her subordinates before her pride as a leader. A difficult but necessary decision. Next, the soon to be usurper requested that all of Konoha's remaining forces come and kneel as well. Now all of them would be required to put aside their pride and submit to the foreign ruler. Kisuke bit at his lip in anger, the prospect of kneeling before this stranger in submission angered him. But he would follow the decision of his leader. What else could he do? Disobey and risk the lives of his fellow brethren? No, not an option.  His red dyed hair damp across his forehead, the back of his neck and even across his ears, his white shirt slightly see through now and his tight pants uncomfortable sticking to his legs, the Uchiha moved to make his way off the high wall when he noticed someone adamantly making his way towards the gate with clenched fists, a determined looked on his face and in his eyes. He did not look like someone who was getting ready to kneel. No, quite the contrary. The look on his face told a different story. "What the fuck." His words would grab and direct the attention of the few who stood alongside him on the wall to the newcomer approaching the gate. "He's not going to fucking kneel is he?" He had to have walked past Yensung, why didnt the Aburame stop this kid? Regardless, Kisuke couldnt take that chance. Their leader had taken and executive decision to kneel and he wasnt going to risk everyone's lives cause of some kid's rash, dumb ass. By no means was Kisuke considered fast, even with the piercing he wore that increased his speed in a way that he did not remember the explanation, just knew that it worked. But in this case, he did not need to be the fastest, just faster than that kid. With the newly arrived kid now only a couple of steps from the gate, Kisuke sprang into action.  Exit

His focus on the scene before him was broken by the words of another atop the village walls with him. A boy with hair made of flames and cold eyes. His own focus on a sole child marching steadily toward the gates with clenched fists and a determined look on his face. A Konohagakure headband was grasped tightly in his fist. It was obvious the boy had no intention of kneeling, he may not even know exactly what was going on at the moment. One thing was for certain, he was headed towards certain death and the destruction of the village if he wasn't stopped.

The ache of betrayal in his heart aside, Jason sprang into action before anyone else could. He might not agree with Risako's decision to kneel, but he respected the authority she held as the acting leader of the village and would not let anyone dissolve this conversation. The instant this newcomer had began to step through the gates it was all over for him. There were three identical Jason Senju landing around the boy the moment his body was on the outside of the village walls. He wasn't going to let this happen.

unlike the others yen tentatively made his way with the other shinobi curious to find out what ris had to say. they had to kneel which sucked to yen.
