The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO) Empty The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO)

Sun Aug 27, 2017 3:16 pm
Valen would move onto the training field he had selected for this day with a purpose. He had spent hours in the library, perfecting his studying of the space time chakra that he commanded. He poured days worth of sleepless night working to iron out the blueprints of a technique that could give him a massive home field advantage. Spent weeks training to get his power to the point where he could make it a reality. Now we find him a single training field, in the Tachibana Wildlife Reserve. Many rare flowers of all kinds, animals that could be dangerous to civilians or on the verge of extinction, and a lake created by a single man all were within this realm of Hoshigakure, his home. This was the location that would begin his rise to fame. This was the location that he would begin a legacy. All he had to do was finish learning a single technique. He had eaten a moderate, but healthy breakfast, and gotten plenty of sleep the night before. He had the next few days off duty at his request to practice this technique. All he had to do was put in the training. The sun was bright, hanging not too high in the sky, Valen would guess it to be about nine in the morning. He intended to be here as long as it took. If that happened to be all night, then so be it. He needed this technique learned. Obviously it was a sunny day, and the majority of the animals were giving him a wide berth, his latent chakra that the creatures with higher, more finely attuned senses could distinguish giving them ample reason to stay away. His sword, Crimson End, hung at his waist, ready to be used should the need arise and Natsumi, his ever faithful summoning companion lay wrapped up in his cloak around his neck as the usual. She was completely hidden in her location under his collar, so anyone getting too close that she could sense with her acute sense of smell due to the nature of how a snake’s tongue works would be noticed. ‘Are we going to kill people today?’ The unnamed voice from his sword would ask, wanting desperately to spill the blood of his enemies, or anyone really. ‘No, of course not..’ He’d reply mentally to the weapon. ‘We’re not going to slaughter random people in my village, and we’re certainly not going to go about killing the animals under our protection.’ He’d reply as he shrugged his shoulders and paused to take in the feeling of a rather nice breeze.

“Valen, can I help somehow?” Natsumi would ask from her perch, wanting to assist him with his training in some way. Valen would politely shake his head. “Not this time Natsumi, this is a technique I’m not sure how to ask for your help with.” He’d say as he pondered for a moment before adding “Although if you want to, you could keep an eye out for people.” He’d suggest, he wouldn’t want to get surprised by someone appearing randomly while he was concentrating. It would be rather dangerous considering the type of technique he was dealing with here. So he couldn’t afford to be startled, lest he cause someone or something irrevocable damage. Natsumi would nod her head gently, before setting about her task. Which basically meant she laid her head back down and began to use her tongue to keep of different scents in the air. Easily able to do so. As she did this, Valen himself would begin to harness his space time chakra. Taking a good hold on the unpredictable energy and begin to try and expand it outwards. He had long since learned to control it within and directly around himself easily. But he desperately needed to expand his ‘sphere of influence’ if he were to get this technique to work. The density of the chakra would cause the animals keeping a wary distance from him to straight up turn and run for the hills. Every sense in their body screaming at them to get away, a few shinobi in the area might look over in his direction, without being able to see through the dense foliage of course. But they would quickly dismiss it as training and go back to their business. Valen would command the space time chakra around him into a dome like area, one that was easily far too small to use for the full power of his technique. But maybe he could practice forming parts of the technique when his dome like area expanded enough. So far it only extended about a meter out from his body. The density of the chakra was extreme, to the point where one could see it with the naked eye easily, the white chakra creating quite a spectacle for those to look at should they do so.

The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO) Empty Re: The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO)

Mon Aug 28, 2017 9:53 am
Well, would you look at that. It just so happened that our favourite midget was currently training in the Tachibana Wildlife Reserve, at the exact same time as the edge-lord Valen. Not that Akemi knew this of course, as he and Valen were separated by dense forest and roughly 100 meters in distance. And Akemi wasn't the type to make lots of noise, drawing attention to himself was always the last thing he aspired to do. Especially when it could be avoided with ease.

Akemi decided to be a special little snowflake, training his body was now pretty much useless. Oh yes, Akemi Hiyu had sensed something within himself. It had been evident ever since he had failed the chuunin exam for the second time. You see, our teen Hiyu, had managed to reach the absolute cap of his strength. He could no longer train his body any further, he had reached the pinnacle. And, well, Akemi wasn't that impressed with his strength. There was a chuunin he had met this one time, and her chakra reserves were awe-inducing. Akemi's on the other-hand... They were piddly in comparison.

Anyway, having decided that he no longer needed to do body training, Akemi had come to this forest to do something he hadn't ever done... Training of the mind. Indeed, Akemi was powerful, but his mind... One might compare his strategic skills to one of a orangutan. They were garbage. Even when he had hailed from a clan which specialised in taijutsu, he could probably still get wrecked by a ninjutsu user in hand-to-hand. It was pretty embarrassing to be honest, and it was something which he hoped no one would ever find out about.

As such, Akemi could currently be seen in the middle of the woods, expanding his repertoire of taijutsu techniques. While he normally trained the lower-level jutsu because he was lazy, today, Akemi was doing something new by training a B-Rank! Settle down folks, you must be excited to hear that issnews, but that doesn't mean you can all erupt into applause! Seriously, just sit and listen please. Thank you.

The technique was called 'Leaf Strong Wind' and it honestly seemed like it was quite an easy thing to learn. But, as the midget knew quite well, looks could be deceiving. All he had to learn, was how to plant a spinning back kick right into the opponent. Sending them flying at incredible speed away from him. It would be quite fun to learn, especially when he considered how fun it would be to enact sweet revenge on that scummy genjutsu user: Yurei.

So, if a person were to walk into the same clearing as Akemi right now, they would see Akemi repeatedly spinning around and performing back kicks. Quite a humorous sight to be sure, but Akemi did not really care. Especially when he had no reason to believe that someone else was in the woods with hi-.

Akemi's chakra sense suddenly picked up a large amount of chakra being built up about 100 meters away from him, it was quite shocking to the Hiyu, as he rarely met any other ninja out here in the woods. It was almost... Exciting. He was also quite excited by the large amount of power he could feel the chakra creating. The person was obviously very strong, and that meant they could make Akemi strong? It was stupid logic, but Akemi had been training by himself for too long now, besides, every time he trained with someone he always grew exponentially stronger.

He slowly walked through the foliage and eventually arrived on the edge of the training field in which Valen was currently in. The chakra seemed to belong to a strange man, and quite frankly, quite a scary man. So scary in fact, that the shy Hiyu just kind of stood there on the edge of the field, staring at the man like a bit of a stalker. Akemi hoped the man would notice him soon, otherwise he'd probably just end up standing here for ever.

The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO) Empty Re: The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO)

Mon Aug 28, 2017 4:46 pm
Valen would deep within his mind at the moment, using all of his focus to channel his chakra to extreme levels. Taking control of the space and time around oneself took extremely high level of chakra and control after all. If one would look they might see distortions in the air around the crimson eyed chunin as his command over the fickle chakra increased. The world would seem denser around  the boy, that was the best word to describe as he fought to control people one of the most supplemental chakra types in the world. As he fought to control it he’d feel Natsumi shift under his collar just enough to whisper into his ear. “There’s someone here Valen, in the trees watching you..” She’d say. He’d smirk, so  the person didn’t want to come out? Alright then, Valen could play it that way. “He’s far too far away to hear us at moment, and you’re on the other side of my head from his visual line of sight. Go say ‘hello’ Natsumi.” He’d say with a small grin as he went back into his training. Natsumi of course would nod her head and slither down Valen’s body and out his pants leg, being completely out of sight of their would be watcher. She’d then proceed to slither closer to the boy, taking great pains to use her naturally stealthy body to try and stay out of sight until she arrived to scare the boy. This would be great fun indeed.

As she began her journey to scare the hell out of a stranger, Valen would begin to harness his space time chakra into a form that was easily discernable. The chakra would begin forming a kind of reflective surface in front of him. It was still far too hard to make out what it truly was at this moment but one could certainly see a form appearing. It would appear to be a single flat surface, about a meter long and a meter high that would sit there in place. Slowly, as Valen channeled more and more chakra into the technique the surface would solidify to form a mirror. This was interesting to an onlooker. But it was EXACTLY what Valen was trying to do. Well, on a smaller scale anyway. He’d pull out his sword and crack it against the mirror, feeling the impact, yet not a scratch was on it. That was good, now he needed to focus the chakra and enhance it’s power and then he’d be able to fulfill the vision of the technique he had in mind.

At this point Natsumi would have slithered over to be near Akemi, moving completely silently through the grass and foliage as she did so. She’d see that it was a short young man, who had black hair, a gray hoodie with a black undershirt and black shinobi pants. She’d take a moment to take in his appearance before moving. Slithering closer, silently before she would be right below his feet. She hoped Valen was making enough of a show to keep the kids attention. At this point, one might think that she was going to just speak up, yell out to frighten the kid. Not quite so, in fact she had another idea in mind. She would quickly slither up his clothing like she usually did his Valen, if this happened without being stopped she’d move up his clothes, particularly on his back so her scales would get a reaction before peeking her head over his shoulder. She’d proceed to say a long drawn out “Helloooo” before flicking her tongue out in classic snake like fashion. “My partner over there is kind of tired of you just watching him, mind coming out to say hello? You’re both Hoshi ninja here, go speak!” She’d say before waiting. If this all was allowed she’d ride the boy over to Valen, letting his longer legs, or I guess simply existing legs. Carry them faster than she could slither.

Valen at this point would be studying the mirror quite closely, nodding his head as he got used to the fairly minor chakra cost of the single mirror. Of course that would increase exponentially as he created more and more of the mirrors, hoping to create a dome like structure that would put his light based attacks and himself on a massive home field advantage. He’d have to experiment with the ability to see what all it could do. The force of the space time chakra this single mirror made by itself though was incredible. He wondered what the force of the chakra they gave off of them would do to people within the area. He’s have to test it to find out, but he couldn’t wait to do so. At this point Natsumi would have tried her little scare tactic on Akemi and hopefully the boy came over at her instructions. If he did Valen would merely turn to the kid, crimson coloured eyes taking in the boy’s appearance for a moment before nodding his head in greeting. “Next time just walk up..” he’d say simply before Natsumi would get off of the boy and slither back up his clothing to lay around his collar again, completely out of sight once more.

“Valen Akari.” He’d introduce himself, recognizing the boy before him. Not personally mind you, but as a chunin it was important to know who the other shinobi were if they could help it. He didn’t know anything about the boy himself, simply that he was a genin and a shinobi of Hoshigakure. At this point he’d let the mirror he had crafted shatter into a million pieces, allowing the chakra holding it together to fade away into nothing. He’d practice the technique again in a moment and try to make more mirrors.

The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO) Empty Re: The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO)

Wed Aug 30, 2017 7:23 am
The feats being performed by the strange man were quite mesmerising to the teen Hiyu, they were quite unlike anything he'd ever encountered before. His grey eyes looked onward, entranced by... The strangeness of the situation. It was if the universe itself was bending to this guy's whim, he looked to be hardening space around him with moderate difficulty. It reminded him of the space and time technique he had learned ages ago. Perhaps this man's unknown technique was somehow related to that one? Of course, Akemi was grasping at straws here and he had no real way of figuring this out, his mind desperately scrabbling to make the unknown, well... Known.

Indeed, the Hiyu was so intrigued by the 'Performance', that he completely failed to notice the multicoloured snake slithering through the grass toward him. How did he manage to miss a literal rainbow creature right in front of him? Well, that remains to be seen. But if there's one thing we can take from this, it's the fact that Akemi is a big dumb stupid idiot with no environmental awareness to be seen. And that was something which he intended to fix. You see, Akemi had been working on something ever since he had lost the second chuunin exams. He intended to finish it off today, after learning the taijutsu technique of course.

Suddenly, he felt something scaly slither up his leg, across his back and onto his shoulder. He quietly yelped out when he felt the scales touched his skin, their coolness a vast contrast from the heat of the sun. He felt the whatever it was slowly peak out from the neck opening in his T-Shirt. His head slowly started turning to face the foreign creature, slightly scared of what he might see. Once he was half-way through the turn, a voice suddenly rung out right next to his ear. The small Hiyu almost lost his footing in shock, though his endless training in honing his body allowed him to re-balance himself quickly.

Not wanting to anger the strange snake, Akemi did what it asked, walking perhaps a little too fast than what was considered appropriate. It didn't take a genius to figure out that Akemi was slightly unnerved by this entire situation, all one had to do was reference how his steps were fast and rigid, how his grey eyes darted around incredibly quickly yet always rested on his destination in front of the strange man. Akemi was an idiot, but he had the strangest feeling that this man was the 'Take no shit' kind of person. And honestly, Akemi had never met anyone like it, so he would have to make it up as he went along.

He stopped in front of the man, his eyes's fast movements finally slowing down. To not seem rude, Akemi would make eye contact with the man, though he'd make sure that it wasn't the creepy kind of eye contact, as his eyes occasionally look down and study the man's strangely cool attire. After the man spoke, Akemi had a brief moment where he had absolutely no idea what to say. It was one of those moments where his mind was completely and utterly blank, and it unfortunately happened quite often. Especially around the female gender, though not exclusive to them.

"Ak.." Akemi swallowed to calm his nerves, already failing to pronounce his name. He had always had trouble when meeting new people, though these circumstances weren't the most welcoming. What, with the man's scary yet cool appearance and the cold snake on his shoulder. "A-Akemi Hiyu," The teen said, finally managing to get his name out without stuttering. Now that introductions were over, Akemi's mind had reverted back to its usual state of being timid and afraid. He NEEDED to say something, otherwise this encounter would turn awkward real fast.

"T-that stuff you were d-doing looked pretty c-cool." Akemi stuttered. Indeed, it was probably one of the most boring and pointless he could've said, but Akemi wanted to say something lest it be an awkward encounter. He had just blurted out the first thing that came to mind, it sucked that his auto-pilot wasn't advanced enough to think up an interesting conversation starter.

The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO) Empty Re: The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO)

Wed Aug 30, 2017 4:58 pm
Valen would have turned toward the boy at the boy at this point, now named Akemi Hiyu as he seemed overly nervous about everything around him. He’d raise an eyebrow at that before shrugging it off as anxiety. Valen did kind of force this onto the kid after all, but what to do about it he wondered. He could give the kid a free viewing to the creation of his new technique. But he doubted the kid would want to be involved in such a thing, after all it was just trying to figure out how to create mirror like projections within the air in a space time dome that could reflect his light release techniques. Why would some random strange kid be interested in such a thing? No he needed something else. A spar? Maybe the kid would like to spar with one another to test their strength and metal? It could certainly be worth a shot. He’d look down at Natsumi, and smile softly. “Sorry to force you to move around so much Natsumi, would you mind heading off and watching from a distance?” He’d ask with a polite nod of his head. The snake would of course comply and slither down the his clothing again and over to a tree that wasn’t too far off. She’d simply find a nice sunny spot on the branch and lounge for a while. Valen would proceed to turn back the Akemi and nod his head slightly. “Well, I did just have my friend there scare the shit out of you, so I feel I owe you a bit. How would you like a spar? No techniques (or stats for that matter) just our bodies natural movement and reflexes (wordplay) against one another. You might feel me focus my chakra, but I won’t be using a technique, I’ll simply be practicing bringing my space time chakra, that you witnessed earlier, to bear in a combat situation so I can use the completed version of the technique you witnessed earlier while fighting.” He’d say to Akemi.

His hand would immediately go to the sword at his hip, his hand resting on the hilt as he awaited the young shinobi’s response. If he accepted then the moment he did Valen would draw his sword as fast as he could. The familiar ‘Click, schling’ of the blade leaving it’s sheathe in an instant echoing across the clearing. If the boy dodged back he’d stop the swing mid way, with the point facing the lad, and drive it forward. If he ducked he’d reach out with his other hand and attempt to grasp him by the throat. At that point if he grasped him by the throat he’d squeeze hard enough to cause the boy to panic before kicking upwards toward the groin, hard. If THAT landed he’d back off and let the boy have a minute or two to compose himself. All the while he'd compress his chakra dangerously, trying to recreate the effects of the mirror from before while in a combat situation.

The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO) Empty Re: The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO)

Thu Aug 31, 2017 7:29 pm
With his grey eyes locked onto the other pair of eyes, he would grow a little unnerved and almost stumble a few steps back putting a distance of about 4-Meters between him and Valen, yet he still managed to maintain his balance and, should the need arise, he would have little trouble manoeuvring from these few steps back to dodge any attack Valen made. Though this would all take place before Natsumi had begun to speak, and Akemi hadn't even agreed or disagreed to the spar yet. So an attack would be unlikely at this moment.

Goosebumps peppered his skin when Natsumi slid down his clothes again, the feeling of scales slithering down his bare skin was a feeling which he would never grow accustomed to. Thankfully though, Akemi felt like he didn't really need to get used to it, as he somehow doubted that Valen would send a snake up his clothes again.

As Valen started talking about the prospect of a spar, Akemi would grow a little wide-eyed. He had never met this man before, and he knew nothing about this man's capabilities. Though if he were to judge it on this man's performance of doing that cool stuff, Akemi had to guess that this man was relatively strong. Their chakra levels were roughly the same, so if Akemi had to guess, he'd say they were roughly on par when it came to bodily strength. But if they were on par in strategical strength? Well, that remained to be seen. But the Hiyu wasn't exactly renowned for his skill in combat, so it wasn't a stretch to say this guy was better than him in that regard as well.

When Valen was halfway through speaking, Akemi's right hand would reach and stretch so that it was now perpendicular to his body. Then, a mass of particles would swirl around and quickly take shape into Akemi's weapon 'The Bo Staff' "I-I hope this doesn't count since it hasn't s-started yet, I j-just really wanted t-to get some practice with this w-weapon.". Now, if Valen saw any of this as Akemi accepting the spar, then the Hiyu's actions would change accordingly. However, if Valen didn't, then Akemi would continue like he intended to.

When Valen finished talking, Akemi would simply gulp and nod curtly. Steeling himself for the battle which would likely end with him face-down in the mud with a busted groin.

Now, since Akemi had put a distance of about 4-Meters between them by stumbling backward earlier, Valen would have to actually move forward or move in some way if he wanted to do his opening attack. Should that happen, the moment Valen was within range, Akemi would infuse chakra into his staff and swing his weapon in his hand from the right to the left in an arc-like fashion while holding it firmly at the base, potentially colliding with the side of Valen's face if he hadn't managed to move in time.

Of course, should anything not happen according to plan, Akemi's actions would change accordingly.

The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO) Empty Re: The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO)

Thu Aug 31, 2017 8:52 pm
Valen allow the young boy to grasp his bo-staff as intended, more than willing to allow the boy to arm himself for the spar since he himself would be using a weapon. Granted he would gladly avoid doing so if desired. He was confused however, as the young man called a simple one meter length of staff a ‘bo-staff’. Such weapons didn’t generally fall about a foot and a half shorter than their wielder. But who was Valen to judge in this situation? The moment Akemi stated he was ready Valen would begin moving forward. Which, based on his opponent’s words, would cause the boy to swing the staff in an arc like fashion from his right to left with chakra infusing the staff. Now, the moment Akemi began to swing that staff, Valen would begin to raise a hand and channel chakra into it while moving forward as fast as he could. Since swinging the staff like that involved having to raise it up that high it would be safe to say that Valen would close about half the distance before the staff came down. As he kept moving, the staff would continue it’s descent and the moment Valen got within grasp of the weapon he’d snap a chakra infused right hand out and catch  the blunt weapon in an open palm. This would cause the other end of the staff to stop right about where the boys ribs were on his body. When that happens Valen would use his main hand, his LEFT hand to draw his sword and swing to graze Akemi’s other ribs, going for a debilitating cut. He would use his chakra to blunt the blade so that it wouldn’t cause life threatening slashes. But the cuts would still freely bleed openly and cause massive pain if it the hit struck.

As it stood the boy would have to give up his weapon if he hoped to avoid the slash without leaving himself open, as Valen grip on the weapon would not allow him to let go easily. All the while Valen would continue channeling his space/time chakra around in the area, the oppressive force coming down on everything except them. Mirrors would appear and shatter around the field in a brilliant display of shattered glass and chakra as he continued to form and destroy the mirrors at a rapid pace. He would soon begin to work toward forming more and more of the useful constructs, soon moving into forming two, then three, then four, at once. Allowing them to shatter as they were made to continue the show. His chakra would flare wildly throughout the area as the mirrors were made and destroyed in rapid succession. His chakra would get denser and denser as the chunin gained more and more control over the erratic form of chakra. But again, he wouldn’t allow the massive amount of chakra pressure to touch either of the two combatants, or Natsumi. The snake was watching the spar with indifference, having seen Valen fight multiple times. She would however be extremely interested in watching the mirror show that her summoner was putting on at the time. It was quite spectacular to watch as he multi tasked to such a startling degree.

The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO) Empty Re: The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO)

...

Did this guy really think he could just grab a staff which was heading at full speed and power towards him without injuring himself? Well, of course he couldn't, as it was pretty much impossible to swing something at full speed without putting all your strength in to it. Anyway, Valen's hand would likely end up broken, or at the very least severely bruised, since he had done very little to soften the blow. Likely making Valen's right hand unusable until it was healed again, even if he had directed chakra into his palm. After all, if one could use chakra to soften the blows of weapons, wouldn't every ninja be invincible?

The moment Valen grabbed on to the staff, Akemi saw Valen reaching for something with his other hand. Akemi didn't want his opponent to grab a hold of something, so he would have to act quickly. Therefore, the moment Valen gripped Akemi's weapon and started to reach for his own, Akemi would quickly yank his staff towards him as hard as he could. His tug likely momentarily stopping Valen's right hand from grabbing his sword due to the sudden movement making him disorientated. The moment he started tugging, Akemi would also bring up left leg and send it straight into Valen's groin. Mixing his natural strength with the momentum to deal devastating damage, should the kick go through and all.a

As the staff made contact with Valen’s open palm he would, for a moment feel surprised by the strength of the boy who looked no older and no stronger than an academy student. Valen was immensely surprised by this. He thought the boy was fresh out of the academy. He knew the kid was a genin, but he didn’t realize he was a trained genin. Where was he hiding that strength? The end result of his glaring mistake in underestimating his opponent was that the staff was swung with FAR more force than he had expected. Luckily the chakra, would in fact soften the blow considerably, after all if it could be channeled into something non chakra conductive to increase its force it could certainly be channeled into the body to reinforce its defenses. How would anyone jump from multiple meters high without taking damage otherwise? Silly the moment the impact of the staff would his defended hand, he’d proceed to wince for a split second, the power behind the swing being a fair bit higher than he was expecting at the moment. ‘Kid is stronger than he looks..’ He’d think as the pain registered. It’d certainly need looking at later, Valen wasn’t usually in the market for a broken hand. But the chakra he’d channeled would certainly keep it from being truly broken or useless. At this point though it was time for retaliation.

The moment the staff struck his open palm the boy would pull on his weapon as hard as he could. This confused Valen as he hadn’t gripped the staff at all, merely caught it on an open palm, as such this wouldn’t stop him from drawing his sword, but WOULD cause Akemi’s staff to be yanked back toward the OPPOSITE side of his body, since he was holding it with one hand. Meaning it would simply be too far away to defend him against the swing of his blade. Valen’s sword would therefore, flash out and bite into the boy’s ribs, the chakra blunting his sword a great deal would prevent the blade from doing lethal damage. But a few of the boy’s ribs would certainly be broken by the impact and a fair amount of blood would still be drawn. There was after all a limit to how much chakra could blunt an already razor sharp weapon. At this point Valen would back step a few meters to make a bit of distance. Red blood would drip off the blade of his weapon as his mind was suddenly filled with a malicious voice. ‘So little blood spilled...I must have more..Kill him’ His blade would say within his mind, trying to order him to murder the genin before him. ‘You can’t force me to do that, I won’t harm a fellow shinobi of my village. Now back off into the recesses  of my mind once more you vile thing..’ Valen would reply, a staunch defense against the will of his blade.

As this happened Valen would of course still be creating and destroying mirrors around him at a rapid pace. Sometimes now creating up to three or four at a time around them before the reflective objects were shattered upon creation. The force of his chakra was getting more and more devastating as the time went on and Valen’s control over the technique was getting stronger and stronger as the numbers of the mirrors increased with each time. It was almost as if the mirrors themselves brought on the oppressive force. Which meant the more mirrors he made, the stronger the force would become.

The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO) Empty Re: The Start of A Legend (Kibbles, IO)

It was a horrendously bloody turn of events, you see the moment the blade bit into the side of the young Hiyu his ribs would snap like twine due to the force of the blow. Even with the chakra coating the blade keeping it from being at it’s sharpest the raw power packed into the strike would be absolutely devastating, Valen had drawn it as fast as he could after all. The snapped ribs would splinter from the strike due to the force of the blow with a great deal of the splinters spiking inward toward the internal organs of the young boy. These would puncture the genin’s organs at extremely painful areas and cause massive amounts of internal bleeding. Valen’s eyes widened in shock as the damage registered, he hadn’t been expecting the boy to try something like that. He hadn’t even be gripping the staff. Obviously at this point the attack would have ended, the boy’s face a picture of shock and brutal levels of pain. Valen would sheathe his sword instantly and catch the boy before he could hit the ground. Without a second thought toward Natsumi, who he knew would understand, he body flickered out of there without a second thought toward the hospital, trying to get there fast enough to save the genin’s life. He moved through the village at an immense speed before finally reaching the hospital and dashing inside. The boy’s breathing was ragged as blood seeped from his mouth with every breath. The dense substance covered the front of Valen’s cloak before he handed the boy off to the nurses who immediately ran out with a gurney.

He’d stand there for hours, waiting for word as to if he had accidentally killed another Hoshi child due to a training accident. He couldn’t understand why they froze up against him every time. He’d simply have to stop training with them with his sword. There were no if’s, ands or buts about it. He briefly wondered if the sword itself had implanted the thought to use it during their spar. A dark chuckle resonated through his mind as he thought this as the blades sentience made it’s presence known. ‘I won’t use you against another Hoshi shinobi unless it’s to stop a traitor, get used to being sealed..’ He said simply. The chuckling would stop immediately and Valen began trying to occupy his thoughts with forging a new weapon, a stronger one that would serve him better than this thing. If he did it’d certainly mean he could destroy this sword permanently, maybe even shatter it and leave it in the same cavern he had discovered it in. He fully pushed the swords thoughts out of his mind, closing it off from the rest of consciousness as he thought about the matter at hand. Would he be considered a traitor? Tried and jailed for the killing of the genin if he did die? It wouldn’t matter, it’d be well deserved if he was. But that was irrelevant a fellow Hoshi ninja was killed because of his negligence. That’d make two of them now and he didn’t know if he could keep it up. It was driving him absolutely mad as he waited for the word of if the boy would live or die.

He waited there for what seemed like hours more but he was no longer certain of the length of time that had gone past. He had chills up his spine as the light above the door flickered off and the surgeon walked out. He stood up immediately for the news. He didn’t know if the boy had any family, he hadn’t told anyone, about it. He just ran straight here and waited. The surgeon would take one look at Valen and shake his head in the negative. The boy didn’t survive the internal bleeding, he was dead. Valen felt a great sense of sorrow pass over him as he looked down at the ground. The news was in fact grave, he’d request the surgeon call the kage immediately and inform him that he was on his way with the news. He needed to face whatever judgement the man would give for this. The surgeon passed Akemi’s personal affects to him to give to the kage for either dispersal to another shinobi if it deemed appropriate, or buried with the boy. Everything that had been placed in storage displacement would poof into existence around the operating table, the chakra holding it in the dimension no longer able to do so. The money of course would be intended for the village coffers. Valen himself would probably very likely face execution, or at the very least a long jail sentence. He’d need to head to the kage’s office immediately. He turned and walked out of the hospital, moving sedately as he traveled toward the location of the leaders chambers. The usual apathetic confidence he usually had about him now long gone.

Claiming 4272/6000 for Reflection Zone, 21 AP, and Akemi's personal affects that should have popped out of Storage Displacement if I remember correctly to be brought before Kyousuke in the next topic I make.
