In the Time of Despair[P,NK,Sanae]
Sat Oct 07, 2017 8:44 am
The breeze washed over the falling leaves that danced with the autumn air. The warmly lit skies overshadowing the lands below. Hues of orange and red traveling far and wide as the inflamed star began to make its exit. Marking the end of a recurring cycle. Soon to be replaced by its contrasting twin. Down below on the surface there would be a seemingly never ending amount of trees and greenery all around. A forest unlike any other. Plopped in the middle of a terrain filled with desert and emptiness, its presence being an anomaly in itself.
Though not being a completely irrational and worrying subject in the current world inhabited. A place touched by the presence and usage of mystical arts and abilities unlike any other. Deviating far beyond what is known to be the average human, or at least what would have passed for it many years ago. Even tainting the body on a genetic level. What this world referred to as Chakra and the utilization of jutsu. This life filled forest being the product of such a measure.
The forest held a very serene and tranquil characteristic. One which it valued highly in itself. Almost as if prideful. The monotone air barely whispering louder then a hush as it escaped back to it’s dormant tone. The debauchery in the form of sound seen as an outcast and unwelcomed in such parts. A trait that most would take pleasure in surroundings themselves within and accepting. Though there would be few who actually questioned this so called natural way of being. Especially from a space that naturally should not exist in such a terrain. What would meet the eye coming off as completely ludicrous and haunting even to see and come by. All of which crossed the youthful mind of the kaguya known as Kutari.
His presence mimicking the nature of the soft transparent air. His movements muffled and calm to no allure as he waded through the forest. Appreciating the current space he inhabited though clearly distraught at such a space being present in the form of a soundful glance. His face painting a picture of sheer confusion and disbelief as his lips pursed and sneered to signal the internal band’s musical score to begin. The loud and eventful percussion and systematic applause would continue in its own increment as the boy carried on within the forest peacefully. His mind far beyond racing.
It all felt as if it were a dream. Something young Kutari would giggle lightly to himself from within his mind. Such an overplayed phrase easily able to be said. Yet holding so much meaning. Those who raised him already ceasing to exist in this world so quickly. Only feeling as if it were yesterday. He can still barely believe all the truth behind it all. How he lost more sleep than what was seen for someone his age. Though an act which carried on within his life for as long as he could remember. Simply being more apparent. Trudging through the soft soil the forest had to offer, even the ground below mimicking that of which would be a forest. A very effective ploy if it were to be a Genjutsu. Breathing in, swiftly shrouded in the strong aroma of pollen and bark. Healthy wood which gave off it’s natural chemicals and smell. Taking a moment to truly take it all in. Bathing in the seemingly staged position he was in. As if a character out of some novel or story.
A distraught teen questioning the very fabrics of life within a peaceful setting. His soliloquy sure to come. A thought to which Kutari finally chuckled outwardly. Truly taken aback by his own views upon himself and his very life. Comparing it to some play. When it very well is the life he had lived. Unknowing if he was trying to convince himself that he was within one whole story, and the world he lived in was nothing of the sorts to what was currently being perceived.
Though Kutari knew the answer to that. Even shooting down such an idea somewhat instantly. That’s the quitter's mentality. Viewing himself much higher than someone unwilling to roll with the punches, such ideas were thoughts he pushed away. Suppressing his own feelings unable to deal with them. Viewing it all as weak and unnecessary. Unable to find an easier method to function. Distancing himself from all as he even treated his very being as some systematic machine. One which he could just shut off and be done with. A cool breeze would slap his face sending him back to the moment of time where he stood. The sun was soon to set. There would soon be a full moon high above the skies.
The forest reflected the warm autumn air magnificently with it’s very core as it ricocheted around. A scene that could be taken from a painting. As he neared a stiff lake that froze in time. It’s position at a halt reaching a new stage of relaxation and peace. Startled by the coming tempest in the form of a teenage boy. Black hair with pale skin, wearing a long black robe which stretched down to his ankles. His black shoes to patch. Ragged and swimming amongst the air as it waded just like his hair. Cold gray eyes to match the painting of a deadman walking. The caretaker soon posing aspects of the dead he tended to.
Envy would overcome the boy as he neared the lake. Wishing to be one with such display, achieving what he couldn’t do at the moment. A peace of mind. Sitting on a log just away from the lake. It’s body cold and hard as he plopped down to rest. Crashing down as his tired legs were given a timeout to recover from his endless walking. How long had he been in the woods? Had he been stranded? These questions seemed to evade the boy as he took his time to stare within the lake. Catching points in which he could see some fish flopping around in the water. Their lives seeming to be at peace.
Before losing sight through their quick movements into the water or the blazing sun above reflecting off the water. Though it’s presence shifting away and being less of an influence. Kutari would watch and wait in silence, appreciating the area around him fully in tune with his surroundings and what was to come. Being in any form to cause him to find another change in the place around him. Unsure if that’s what he wanted anymore. Though some person to speak with at this point being an idea Kutari wouldn’t shy away from. His mind being away from his own thoughts and focused elsewhere being a paradise he looked forward to.

Re: In the Time of Despair[P,NK,Sanae]
Sat Oct 07, 2017 1:06 pm
It was a nice autumn day and Sanae had been taken out to the lake by her father Suichiro. Since his daughter recently qualified herself to take part in the next Chuunin exams he wanted her to be more than prepared. This meant she was to do the one dance she had learned so far over and over again. Right now he was pulling out his bone sword and looked down at her. Quite intimidating seemed the stare he was giving her and she shivered. Whenever they trained he developed from this kind and loving father to an almost ruthless trainer that would not even shy away from hurting her if she did not fight him off efficiently. So she was now facing the almost bloodthirsty monster that was hacking away at her. Hit after hit she was surprised about herself. From earlier experiences she could tell, that she had progressed from what she knew before because last time when they had been training almost every hit of him had been something piercing her defence. This time around she was able to counter a fair amount of his stabs with her own blade and it could hold up against his. This not only made her feel proud it gave her a feeling of security.
As she had thought of recently while being in the woods as she was facing some bandits. What was she to fear when she could face off against someone like her father? He was strong, his abilities were frightening, his speed seemed legendary to her and the force with which he attacked was almost overwhelming ordinary people could never grasp the feeling that she had whenever the two bone blades crashed into each other. A sudden sensation was rushing through her veins and like a shiver down her spine it felt when she could feel the vibration of the hit go through her blade that had formerly been her arm. Left and right or right and left, this was so difficult the dance was designed not to have a pattern that could be foreseen. Its power partly came from it being unpredictable for the enemy one was facing and this was what her dad was demonstrating. He had made her get used to a certain movement pattern he was usually using but now he just changed it, like a pair of shoes he left behind because he had walked through them.
This made her almost sufficient attempts to cover against his attacks invalid and where she before had tried on attack of her own she was now stumbling to not get in a lethal attack, although she was praying in her mind that should he ever land a hit were he could really harm her he would not go through with it, because while they were still training for the real thing, she was still his daughter. But there had been instances where she had to rest several days to recover from a match with him because well he did not thread lightly to her and he wanted her to grow strong even stronger than he was, but she was not sure how she would accomplish that since after all he was an adult and she was limited to the boundaries of a teens body. But well she was sure to knew, that boundaries were something set by only her and it was always a possible to overcome any borders. But how far could she push herself without her body taking a toll, or was this the big secret? If she wanted to be a true shinobi would she need to give it really everything she had?
Health and mental sanity all together? Was that the reason why so many good shinobi turned nuts somewhere in history? Insanity was a cost to accept real power? But she could not do that because she wanted to be one of the best Shinobi in Hoshi. She wanted to be a shining light where darkness grew. Pain disrupted her thoughts her father had once again pierced her defence and now blood was running down her cheek where he sliced through her skin only hurting her surface but nothing beneath. She smiled a little but it scared her that it was still that easy from him to control himself, her and the fight. It was like dancing and he had the leading position, if she was ever to stop that she needed to learn to lead, but this would take far more time that just this training now. A few more hits were exchanged until he then grabbed her out of nowhere lifting her up above his head grinning at her: "I got you! Now you are at my mercy." "No I still have my..." , she rose her sword to attack him but as she looked at it she could see it crumble to pieces. He had damaged it too much.
Laughter shook his throat and then he shook his head slowly in disbelieve: "You have to train so much more my darling daughter. Session is over, don't be later for Dinner", with that said she could feel him gathering movement by making a halve circle turn and the he send her flying. The throw was clearly set to make her fall into the water, but he had put a little too much strength into it so she flew right over and while mid air she managed to at least wiggle around that she would not face plant first as she was uncomfortably lading on her feet then dropping to her knees. "Yeeesh can't he make an exit like a normal person would?", she complained to the ground then pausing as she was seeing a pair of feet in front of her. Slowly the blue haired girl would look up. Her ponytail being a total mess she had to push some strands of hair away to look into the face of the young Man standing now before her. She cleared her throat in embarrassment. "Sorry I usually do not drop down on people that way", she started to clear off the dirt from her shirt and pants before getting up again.
She slightly bowed toward the human in front of her and then looked at him curiously. He could see the red dots on her forehead and the Hoshi Shinobi headgear around her waist identifying her as one of the shinobis and she was kind of curious, was he someone who accepted this kind of work or did he belong to the ones condemning it like it was worshipping of demons.

Re: In the Time of Despair[P,NK,Sanae]
Sun Oct 08, 2017 10:01 am
As the boy plopped down on his log to watch the water and its indefinite movements and livelihood, his intention would be taken elsewhere. An array of actions and noises which jeopardized the serene forest music around, causing the orchestra to have an outrageous halt. His shaky equilibrium now shattering as his quiet atmosphere would be changed. A gloom filled face would rise to scan the immediate surroundings after discontinuing his study of the lake. Taking his leisure as he could tell he was in no danger that would cause for instant action and awareness. The unfitting noise being a distance away from his area. Looking around, basking in the glory such a place had to offer.
The call of nature surrounding him with it’s own troops to deliver an everlasting spectacle of sensational warfare. The strong, burly trees which held down the foundation of it all with it’s reoccurring stature. Decorated with the frequent flowers and greenery which offered an aroma unlike any other. It’s sweet and pure accessories to the nostrils being a pleasant addition. Followed by the attendance of passing wildlife in various forms that added to the immersion within this superficial forest. Toppled by the time of day acting like the sprinkles on an already enticing cake to be served. It’s natural flow with the scene being one of the few times to really enjoy the area. All of which he took in and appreciated for what it was worth. Aware that it would soon come to an end and for that reason loving it ever more.
As he noted and looked after all of these variables, he’d rest his eyes on the display at hand. Doing so, matching the certain characteristics and aspects of what he heard and sensed with the actions going on to verify no other events were taking place around him. Making his safety of the highest priority always aware and keeping his senses keen for what happened. Across the lake he would find two people having what seemed to be a spar of sorts. Consisting of hand to hand combat with weapons in each hand as they delivered flurry of attacks.
Their movements keen and fluid, something Kutari both admired and envied. His own ability in combat not being to what he had hoped. Having a much more than average drive and interest in combat and actually bettering himself to take on many difficulties in the future. His own inexperience and weakness being the downfall he would see in himself as of now. Watching them battle so passionately, a girl and a much older male causing his blood to boil. Imagining the heat of a battle and able to match with another in combat.
The unknowing conclusion and competition to see who would last in the end. A cool breeze would wash over Kutari bringing him back to his senses from the ever growing lust. Taking this as an opportunity to train himself, he would watch with an analytical coolness behind his storming eyes. Picking up on the slightest cues and making an effort to keep up with the movements. His gaze would be long and inspiring as he rested his chin within his hand, slouching forward to see clearly.
Entering a trance as if being right in the fray. The girl would be keeping up with the man for the most part. Though as the battle continued on he could clearly see her progress dwindling down in comparison to the unwavering foe. His endurance and defenses like the trees around. Strong rooted and dense. However her determination was admirable. Something Kutari kept in mind as he watched as she carried on. Watching as they clashed with their weapons. He’d focus in on the weapons they both used, followed by a raised eyebrow and a shift in his eyes. No longer simply analyzing, but even more so intrigued. Studious. Even investigating. The boy would shift his demeanor entirely as he would release the lock on his chin to cross his arms together. Unsure what else to do with them. Sitting up now and much more alert, the boy would switch into a deeper state of focus and awareness. The look in his steel cut eyes being wild yet energized. A spark causing a small fire simply spotting the weapons being used.
He’d study not only the weapon, but much more precisely the methods in which they attacked with the weapon. How they moved, or more so the intention in which they moved. The boy’s mind was a treasure in itself as he was allowed to debunk a series of ideas or myths regarding what exactly they were doing. The movements in which they carried about in themselves would suggest a more or less unpredictable method of attacking. Noticing this by several occassions present. For one, the likelihood of the two using the same form of weapon and the extreme age gap in one another would suggest a form of family training if Kutari could guess. Either that or a sensei which held the same ability as the student, though even then drawing the same conclusion of some specialized training.
Though not only that, but the methods in which they both attacked similarly though undeniably different. As if allowing the mind to transcend a form of “auto-pilot” and disengage, though simultaneously being precise and acute as the young boy was able to read in more on the movements. Finally, catching the shift in power as the older man would suddenly achieve the advantage and overpower the girl as he changed his attack patterns abnormality. The girl getting too comfortable with the current progression of rapid fire, in which he switched suddenly to cause a form of misfire for her own downfall. The likelihood of the two simply waving their weapons around for fun being low as they moved with too much precision and skill in mind, and if so the fight not ending so soon.
Analyzing all of this the boy felt as if he achieved a new idea in learning a way to utilize his own abilities. Though to the average viewer he’d simply come off as one who was intrigued at the current display in combat. Which any spectator would be as the battle ended with a more or less anticlimactic halt. The older foe claiming his victory and showcasing his authority with the cuts and such of the younger. Though in any case Kutari was now interested in the man and the girl. Mainly the girl, able to combat and wade off such a person's attacks for so long. He was curious to see how she would react to her defeat. How she dealt with losing and not getting the results she had wished for.
Almost hoping she carried on with her training and wouldn’t allow such a thing to stop her. Wanting to see her improvement in some odd format. He’d notice the sudden interest in the girl and quickly suppress it in the back of his mind. Wishing to see her improvement being the last of his worries as he should focus on his own. Now having a new method of using his abilities and wishing to test them after acquiring more than enough data from his “teachers”, he would begin to rise in order to test this attack in a secluded area. That is before his attention was brought back to the two having a conversation across the lake. A strong and victorious laugh overcoming the general direction of the two. The enthusiasm within his voice able to be heard all around the calm lake. Picking up the word daughter to confirm his previous speculation. Father and daughter training. His mind raced curious as to how many more people within the village were like him in their common traits. Though he held his tongue in untrusting secrecy. This all happening before suddenly seeing the man swing the girl across the lake in a rather harmful fashion. Instantly reacting he would attempt to try and catch the girl as it seemed evident her body would soar past if he didn’t help. Willingly using his own body as a shield acting without any thought. Before seeing the girl begin to fumble around mid flight and begin to catch herself as she was beginning to land. Watching the spectacle he could see that from this she should be fine and able to land unharmed and without any worry. To which he would take a seat after a once shocked look coming to be a sigh of relief. This father of hers being a very flaming soul.
Kutari would watch as she was able to land on her feet without his intervention potentially putting her at more risk. Before going down to her knees after a very stressful and draining situation. Kutari able to feel the drain himself from the sudden shock. Though quickly bringing himself together as he watched the girl with a cool stare. His face for the most part being unreadable. The eyes he carried with himself telling the tale. Having a history of shocking people and causing them some form of discomfort and ill feelings. The mixture of his pale skin, black hair and cold gray eyes being a more than not creepy factor with him. One which would cause many to shy away as he kept to himself. Or genuinely cared little about and would carry on with his task. For the time being he would study the girl with a somewhat absent mind as he would rest on the log recalling all that happened. Picturing it all. As if consist reels of snapshots coming over him of it all, being recorded in his memory. Though he’s noticed with time this current mindset would be the most difficult for others to perceive and work with. Being a fast route to what he held within.
As the girl complained and mumbled to herself, the boy would look on at her wishing to see what she would do now. He assumed the girl had not even noticed his presence as of yet. Her dark blue hair would somewhat be in a mess, followed by her now scuffled clothing thanks to the training and flight that she was victim to. Though surprisingly the orange air would bring about a sort of warming factor to the whole scene of this girl flying in front of him. An almost peaceful and lazily acceptable twist to it all. Meeting eyes with the lady as she looked up, her welcoming blue eyes would be the finale of her entrance. Their presence being a whole act in itself as it preached kindness and the act of being gentle. Though they would be a form of deception as her earlier battle completely conflicted with such an idea.
However Kutari would pay that no mind as he knew himself the necessity of housing different aspects of yourself for the current task at hand. Regardless the entrance she made compiled with the method in which she was being presented caused a conflict unlike any other. One which brought a sort of comical view to Kutari. Though he would still watch the lady in silence with a growing puzzled fashion as he stared. His eyes piercing through to hers, waiting in anticipation.
She would clear her throat and rise, seeming to be flustered from the whole conditions of first time meeting. Though unknowing to her at the time he would already be acquainted with a side of her in the form of combat as he viewed earlier. To which he wasn’t as confused and weirded out by her appearance now. Watching as she tailored to herself and apologizing for the abrupt entrance. His head slightly cocked forward as he slouched, his right leg folded over the left in a comfortable fashion. His right arm slightly hanging out as it rested on his leg, and his other arm folded lazily. His previous focused and engaged posture falling short with the coming minutes.
Kutari would watch with the same growing puzzled look as she rose to bow in what he assumed to be an apology. She came off as a rather proper and polite individual. Rising from her bow he would clearly see her nature of fashion and dressing herself. A loose outfit though able to have elastic movement if necessary for combat situations. Her two red dots on her forward coming to be a surprise. As he had never actually inherited such markings which could come as a surprise to some. Though it added a unique quality to the girl. Of course, she was a kunoichi of Hoshi as her headband would showcase which she wore on her waist with fashion as well. It would bring up his own thought of his headband. Carrying it around in his bag and such proving to be helpful in it’s own way. He’d stare at the girl a few seconds after she rose, picking up on the rather curious face she made targeted towards him. Kutari assumed at this point that her father had left, as he did also bring up dinner being of importance. A very odd fellow to say the least. Throwing his daughter then speaking about dinner. Supposedly there are families like that.
The boy would begin to look at her once again with an unwavering sort of tone to himself. Having no emotion to give out to read at this point, a skill he’s mastered and even incorporated into his character. He would slowly rise, feeling as if he had sat long enough and it being rude to do so any longer. Taking the time to at least come up with something to say after all that happened. His hair overtaken by a gust of air as he rose, attempting to work against him but inevitably failing as he stood tall over the girl. He would jump on top of the log he once stood on as he retracted his hands into his pockets that came with his clothing. Changing the whole area into his own playground of sorts as he nonchalantly did as he wished. He spoke with a dense though lighthearted tone. One which came off as being intimidating and fluid, but also with a free and calming tone.
“Hopefully you don’t make a habit of that. Can’t say it would work out well with someone in your line of work.”
He spoke in a slow and steady speed. Though not slow enough to question his speech pattern but more so relaxing and uncaring. He would look to the girl and link eyes with her as he gave off a slight smile followed by his eyes relaxing in response to giving it. As if he was acting cheeky with jokes but his natural demeanor making a lax joke. His boots would clunk with the wood below his feet as he lightly tapped the exterior in rhythm. Shifting his face to shy away from the comical ice breaker to a more investigative form. Wishing to learn more about this kunoichi who quite literally flew into his life. He spoke very carefully here on as he enquired more about the lady. Keeping his lighthearted and soothing tone however being more questionable. The clunking of the wood getting slower but more hefty.
“That was a very stunning battle. You and that fellow from earlier moved quite swiftly. It seemed as if the two of you were conducting in a series of precise but rapid attacks aimed to keep the other on their toes and even cause them to hiccup.”
He would pause after saying as such. Being reminded briefly of what he spectated as he began to get more excited thinking about the battle and turn of events. It was truly pleasing to watch. Cracking a smirk out of spite. He would continue on. His tapping quickening. Watching her and her reaction. Surveying it all.
“I assume you’re apart of the Kaguya clan yes? The markings you possess and the sword you use seem like common traits from what I’ve learned regarding the Kaguya’s. You seem pretty strong yourself and well crafted with their abilities I presume.”
Kutari would give a warm smile. Curious as to the woman’s heritage and background. Wanting to learn what exactly was going on and hopefully shed some light. She also came off as a person he would want to at least know. Especially as of right now. This encounter somehow being what he was asking for earlier.

As she was looking at her new acquaintance it was soon to be quite sure, that he was not as startled by her appearance as she thought he would, but this was nothing bad, it was good so far she could tell. That meant he was at least not against shinobi and their doings so much that he would turn against her right now. She slowly presumed an upright posture and looked at his face curiously. He did not seem startled or something and there was no fear inside his eyes so he was either just very confident or really used to having shinobi around him so everything was good for the moment and she did not need to be so alert. A slow peek over into the distance she could not see her father anymore. As he said he might have gone home to make some dinner so that she had something to eat when she returned home. Sometimes she was not sure what he thought he was doing with her. His kind of parenting was surly to have a bad effect on her. But well he was shaping her into a hell of a shinobi and his lectures about loyalty were exceptional. Although he sometimes seemed a little weird to her or fight crazed she loved him a lot and he was setting her on the right path.
Movement from his side made her turn her head again. He had positioned himself on a log, maybe so he could look down on her but that was okay, she did not get a feeling of inferiority from looking up. She wore her soft and still confident smile while listening to his words and crossed her arms behind her back while she was carefully absorbing what he was bringing forward. The aura around him was calm and collected and so was his voice. The tone of it had a kind of feeling like a silk cloth wrapping around ones ears and filling them heavy and soft making a slow impact on her and running a small shiver down her spine. But shortly after she was smiling again and nodded slowly in agreement. She did not really want to be sent flying whenever she was meeting someone new. Well at least her father had enough aim so that she had not hit him directly, that would have been more than embarrassing for her and him if they would be thrown upon each other.
Her eyes returned back to him as he was complimenting the fight she had with her father. A light shine of read was flushing her cheeks as he mentioned that he had seen or quite observed it and she touched her cheek kind of signing as she felt the partly dried blood upon it. Loosing from it she was looking at her fingers which had blood on the tips and she shook her head. This was not what should happen so very often. Gently she rubbed the blood of the tips of her fingers looking at her opposite again. "My father was training me, but I am still a long way from good", she made a quick statement before he was going on making quite the pin pointed assumption. Kaguya he knew about it from looking at what they had been doing and well although her clan through his more or less negative back story filled with bloodshed and betrayal was quite prominent she had not known how much. She remembered that the time when she went to the wildlife reserve and met Tenma and Hikari and now that moment returned when Tenma had scolded her lightly for just telling out loud which clan she belonged to.
So now as he was kind of getting it without her saying so she was kind of startling. Why did he know about this? She tilted her head and her eyes tightened a little as she was looking at him with a sense of worry to her face. Her gut was twisting a little as she thought about why he would know it or for what reason, then she looked at his face again, no marks unfortunately so she did not give it a thought, that he could be of her clan or at least kind of related although their appearance from the colour of their hair and skin were close to each another. So as he ended his conclusions she was kind of nervous and it was pretty hard to hide it for her since it was something she cared about really much and something she had to hide. Because being a shinobi was a critical thing in Hoshi, because religion deemed this job as something to be hated, something unworthy of their god's love an acceptance. So now she was looking at him and taking a deep breath to calm herself.
Then as she looked at him she blinked and saw a warm smile. So there was no harm done, he was not against her and seemed to be at calm and rest. "Well I am a Kaguya and well it is no use in tooting one's own horn but my skills are slightly above the average I suppose, but as we see not good enough since my father can still beat the living hell out of me", she then again touched her cheek where the blood had dried and left it more red than it was needed. Then she mustered him closely: "But you are interesting. Are you a shinobi? Because usually common people do not know about clans just by the sight of the abilities they display. Not even any shinobi could do that", she was saying thinking about it a lot while she scratched her nose for a short moment. "I am sorry if I seem suspicious but there are people here in Hoshi that are deeply religious and hate shinobi for a stupid reason of fearing our abilities, but well you don't strike me as such a man"[/b][/color], she then smiled and bowed to him. "Kaguya Sanae, I am pleased to meet you and I hope my crash landing did disturb you too much." Then she got into an upright position again and straightened out her back trying to resist the urge to just hold her head into the water and clean in off.

Re: In the Time of Despair[P,NK,Sanae]

The young caretaker would obverse the young lady as he was still positioned seated on the log before her. Growing bored of sitting and watching. Wanting to kick his legs around and actually become active. He would analyze the shortcomings of the girl and the way she acted to the most specific of actions. Normally fascinated by the movements and thought processes of other humans, being inclined to understand and fully get how they tick. Being a sort of strong willed passion of Kutari. Watching as the girl slowly looked over back to where her lift-off all but began. Being the source to this current conversation and interaction with one another.
Catching another glimpse of the water behind her as he became hypnotized by it’s unbreakable will of serenity. Once again overran with a plethora of content and idolizing. The lake itself brought a side of Kutari which to the outer world was the norm and what was to be expected in how he looked and acted. However the water was able to calm the quaking force of dystopia rumbling from within. Subsiding the nerves and overwhelming foe that would be his own mind and state. Beginning to rely on it’s blissful stance to bring him to a form of equilibrium.
He would watch. Wondering if maybe his presence was causing the girl to feel uneasy. His naturally intimidating demeanor resulting in a form of failure to feel content and comfortable. This idea brought by her curiosity of what was happening behind her. Possibly being a subconscious indicator that her intentions lied elsewhere and wanting to escape such an odd situation. Though for Kutari he wouldn’t view it as odd or in a negative connotation. In fact he was rather grateful to have such a person come into contact with him to where he could talk and get away from his own thoughts.
Find some sort of comfort and will. Though such an idea that she wished not to be present there would clash with his wants and desires. However, Kutari was far from simple minded. As he easily gauged and weighed such a verdict on one hand, the other housed different ideas. Potential worry or genuine curiosity regarding the man who fled with a rather rowdy and loud exit. Making a mental note as to what her action should be regarding him for next time. These thoughts would aid in calming his mind and cause him to return back to the moment with an interest to how she felt towards the man. Her proclaimed father. His actions and such seeming unique for someone playing such a role.
After housing these thoughts, he was about ready to feast his eyes on the world from a higher ground. Rising as she was turnt he would stand atop of the log following his previous intentions. Standing tall and assertive as he rested his hands within his own pockets. Allowing the higher altitude to kick in with a brush of air coming across his fast and clothing. Filled with ecstasy as the rush of standing and being hit with a cool breeze woke him right up. Bathing in it all. Soaking it in like a sponge. Appreciating the consistent appearance of air and its properties.
Finding it to be one of his favorite feelings and substance to interact with. He’d look towards the lake wielding a much higher ground than before able to truly appreciate the prussian blue shaders of the water. It’s collective source causing the water to darken with the components, presenting a saturation that spoke dense waves of ease. A sight you could kindly stare at for days at a time, succumbing to the will of the water as it battles for peace through a method of passion in it’s arts. Thankful for the sight and life to live, he’d quickly become aware of the girl who would look to him due to his new position.
Not before long he would recall what he had in mind to say and voice it as he felt. His delicate words seeming to reach the heart of the girl or at least a spot to feel sympathy as she made a positive response through her facial expressions. He’d continue his spew of words as he was a charismatic conversational in his own terms. Commenting on the fight, he watched as she slightly flared up and ran a hand across her cheek. Something he would note for later as he spectated her actions and reactions. She seemed to be one able to take a compliment, coming off as modest and having a good idea of her strength but failing to be cocky. Though surveying her actions he in the slightest wasn’t lying or attempting to test how she would act, being a genuine and blunt character.
As she felt the blood coat her fingertips Kutari would look on as she seemed to disagree with the wound she received while battling. Something Kutari sympathized with but also disagreed with in the back of his mind. Believing wounds to be respected and prized in the line of training and even battle. Unsure if her act was a sign of disappointment in herself or incline to train even more. Interesting to see how far this new acquaintance was willing to go. Though holding his tongue as that wasn’t the subject at hand currently. Respecting her comment as he verified the man to be her father. An interesting fellow to say the least with his given actions and way of training. She seemed quite capable. Though aware of what such looks could mean.
Going on with his conversation’s portion and meaning behind it all, he was somewhat startled at the face she made when he brought up the Kaguya clan. Though it was to be expected if she resonated with such a topic and acted so animated it likely would be true and correct, he was still caught off guard to say the least. Unsure if he was shedding too much knowledge and information to the girl. Something he’d have to review for later as he fine tuned his usual discussions. Though likewise it is necessary to take jumps for the sake of one's goals. This being one such situation.
Watching her react by tilting her head and squinting with a more perplexed expression she came off being more analytical and weary. It coming off more as a battle between the two of conversation and diplomacy. Kutari conducting an precise attack as a test to see how it would all result. He would continue on however, wanting to see how she would go about answering. Though his assumptions feeling close to accurate. The boy was curious about the girl and also curious about the technique used between her and her fathers battle. Already gaining a plethora of knowledge and in a sense being taught such a technique by simply watching and pinpointing what all was happening. However needing to be clear that what he witnessed was a technique featured through the Shikotsumyaku and not simply another similar ability. Feeling it in his own blood that he was capable at that point to do such an ability especially with the two individuals able to clearly define similarities and the basis of it all.
He would continue to speak as she watched him. Aware that he was now the one being watched and assessed. Though still conducting his interview and looking for answers. Able to perceive her unease and discomfort. Though what he said wasn’t in the slightest offensive or rude. Potentially being the talk of coming from a background of such a clan. As she became tense and nervous when he deciphered the truth and vocally spoke on it. His analyzing being clean cut. The likes of being found out about her background possibly being the root of her feelings. Kutari feeling a tad bit apologetic as he didn’t mean to cause the girl such discomfort and hurt. Such an advantage of one's skillset being the driving force to victory in this world. Though unknowing to her it seems she couldn’t say the same for him as he watched her observe him.
Growing ever more curious. Though Kutari easily going back to his main focus and pushing aside his feelings. Feelings he usually do away with though this time suddenly surfacing in reaction. As she took a breath, Kutari would lighten up and peek a smile. In which the girl seemed to act positively too. Alas, his previous assumption was correct. As she claimed to be of the Kaguya clan and possess its distinct traits and abilities. This claim in itself bringing Kutari joy.
He had learned a bit about his clan and it’s various abilities from his parents before their deaths. Though those two being his only ties to the family in a sense. Having no reference to push on from. Feeling somewhat proud that he was able to find others that were of his clan. Seeming to be so far away yet they were still around. Though these people obviously not being blood relatives directly they did hold some form of that. However being from two completely different families and ties, they at least related in the form of abilities. This also confirmed his thoughts on the jutsu we witnessed earlier. It being a Kaguya technique and one he could learn as well and even already understands its basis and how it works. His mind going to overdrive.
The black haired boy would continue to listen to what the girl said. As he felt accomplished in his goal and glad to have met the girl and indirectly her father. Seeing some hope in this village he felt indifferent towards. Though this in no case meant they would replace any family or loved ones. Simply glad to have found people from his own group. He would continue to listen to what the girl said with interest. It seems she was observing and analyzing him as well and picking up on certain traits he held. In fact not being a casual citizen but a shinobi. Remembering how distant the civilians were to Shinobi of the village. Feeling no form of empathy or care towards them. Seeing them almost as people in the way. Or possibly showcasing envy. That they were able to work outside of the Shinobi World and disgust from afar. As Kutari’s views on the shinobi of this world continued to thicken with malice and confusion. Still, he was enjoying the conversation with this lady. Receiving her name and thought process.
He would notice she including her full name. Something of interest to note. A flicker would escape his gaze as he settled his eyes on the girl as she bowed once again. Wielding the thoughts surfacing within his mind and paranoia which came with it. Distance and mystery would cloud his eyes as he hardened his gaze. As she bowed unable to see his face and the impactful tone which came off to him. His once kind and charming persona shedding and becoming gloom filled and distasteful.
His thoughts not lying on her or who she was. Enjoying the conversation and time with her. But the situation and place they all worked and lived in. A potential enemy for the future to come. He’d reside within the confines of the role he played in life for that time. Resting his deadly eyes on the girls figure as she continued to bow and speak. The winter gaze scheming looking to be cold and ghastly. Unable to hold any remorse or feelings as he watched her. Aware of her current position unable to see his look or thoughts and instantly changing if she shifted in a manner to suggest that. “Either kind or sly.” Would be the thought that came to his mind as his inner voice’s tone shifted to a much more dense and overwhelming force. Still possessing its smooth and refined vocal sound, but even knowing from within it changed to its true state. With the accent and emphasis that tailored towards danger and age.
He would then perk up instantly towards the end of her sentence as she began to rise. His face changing to be a much more surprised and astonished look towards her. Eyes open and slightly bulging at her action. As if coming back to reality and remembering where he was and how he was looking and acting. His guard dropping at that moment and then coming back up. Constantly spiking like it was just shown. No others catching onto this side of him and knowing of it. Pausing for a moment to look at her and regain his thoughts. Allowing the previous thought and intentions to flock away as he came back to his compassionate mindset. A warm gaze and smile would resurface on his face as he slightly dwindled his eyelids and look to her with a joyful smile. As if pleased. He would lightly jump down from the log, acting as if he needed to jump when in fact that distance being that of a stairwell. The level ground being a step and his previous position another step on the stairs. Adding a bit of jump to his step as he would walk in front of her and stare her in the eyes. Speaking with his natural smile and lax tone.
“Kaguya Sanae….Sanae Kaguya…” He would mumble the name aloud as if testing it to see how it sounded. Giving it a thought and pondering for a moment. Before returning to his gaze.
“That’s a nice name. It has a nice ring to it. You’re a very modest person Sanae if that’s okay to call you. Speaking of which, you can call me Kutari. It’s a pleasure. Possibly one of my more favored disturbances.” He would give a slight bow as well, crossing his arm against his chest and beckoning his other behind him. Tilting his head and slightly reuniting his eyelids. Bending to produce a suitable bow before rising again briefly. Conducting this action after finishing his final sentence.
He would look past Sanae directly towards the calming water. Wanting to interact with it. He would beckon Sanae to follow as he began to walk towards the lake. Feeling the soft soil play with his boots. Recognizing the air by its breeze. He walked slowly and calmly as he guided her if she were to follow. His physique giving way due to the cloak he wore being close to his body and well cut. His lean posture presenting itself. As they traveled the fairly short distance he continued his talk.
“Yes, I am a Shinobi. A Genin actually. I enjoy studying and researching different backgrounds and the Shinobi World if you will. The townspeople are rather weary of us and even fearful due to their ideology and beliefs. Though at times I feel part of their fears are completely justified and right...The World as we know it filled with conflict and despair even as we speak.” His tone coming off as proper and well spoken. Calm like the water we walked towards and arrived in front of. Being rich and mellow. Pausing during his speech as he was reminded of the day he was informed of his parents death. Considering how many others may be dying at the current moment. What this world has become. The image of what he treasured and love perishing due to the corruption bestowed upon them all. He continued on with his progressively reminiscing yet serious tone. His eyes growing ever foggy as he was lost in a sea of thoughts.
“Ironic really. One can relate to those harboring the most resentment, yet still willingly partake in the act.”
He would stop. Now only steps away into the water as he looked from then on. Feeling closer than ever before as took in the entirety of the lake. Watching the subliminal movements within and wishing everything away at the time. All the difficulties and hardship of the world. Just taking from this moment. Allowing a much needed sigh to escape his lungs, just after intaking a surplus of breath. To then look to Sanae and give a smile, squinting slightly and being completely mindful of the air as the world began to transition to a more lunar view. Though slowly with time knowing that it would all fall apart. The world around as he knew it and what he enjoyed before diving back into what he knew and understood. He spoke carefully and with a soft energy.
“But we all have our reasons for what we do. If I may ask, what caused you to pursue this path of Shinobi? Your father seemed to be quite invested in your training. Seeming to have some background of his own in the career we’ve placed in.” The time had come for what he had envisioned and wanted to execute. Bending down and retrieving a stone pellet from the ground. The lake’s outer boundary supplying such a thing and a high amount. Sizing it in his hand before looking to the lake and tossing it with finesse. As it skipped down the lake from his direction and taking several hits before sinking to the bottom. Watching as the lake formed to react to such a distraction to its calm waters.
Becoming agitated and acting as such. The water fuming and sending out its own defenses. Before slowly returning back to it’s peace. Watching as it transitioned to calm waters. Before preparing another stone to take it’s turn. Getting lost in this activity as he paid mind to the world around and what was happening all throughout his immediate area this whole encounter. Aware of Sanae’s presence and what there was to do. The conversation and becoming more at ease to have a conversation with her. Wishing to learn more about the girl as they enjoy the coming moon.
WC: 3000

After she had introduced herself he would look at her a little strange. Was it disbelieve or did that confuse him. His eyes were growing bigger by the moment and leaving him now more like the cartoonish image of an overdrawn owl. Staring right at her wide open and kind of creepy while is smiling image would reflect from the bright blue irises of her eyes she blinked confused. Then looking closer she could see the more natural more relaxed smile on his face and declared for her, that this was no situation for her to be afraid. Wait, this had never been a situation where she had to be worried for anything. She was a Kaguya, she was strong even if her father was beating her to bits repeatedly she was very capable of so many things. There wasn't anything she could not at least try to do so she did not need to be afraid over something like meeting a strange person. Small girls needed to worry but she did not anymore at least. A sudden brush of confidence filled her heart as the confidence reached her eyes that looked now straight at her opposing conversation partner. With pride swollen chest she would now display herself in a more outgoing way.
Even though it was kind of confusing how he repeated her name and made it sound like he was thinking about if he knew it or not but it did not seem like he was coming to any conclusion so far. Puzzled to what made him even repeat her name the other way around she wrinkled her forehead a little but not too much. A nice Ring was it? Sure she liked it as well and she was always happy when others did so. The bow he then made was kind of odd not like she had always seen and learned it. She was used to either he hand be centred in front of the body or straight to the side. He did something different, one arm up front and one behind his back. Maybe this could also be the preparation for a counter maybe? She was not quite so sure but that was efficient this was, but maybe this was just the way they bowed and greeted where he was from so everything was alright with her. Just because someone did things like she would not, it did not have to mean they were wrong. Especially if she was only discussing this inside her head all by herself.
"Good Kutari it is", she said affirming what he said but then she raised her brow. She was a disturbance? Even if it was a favoured one, it seemed a bit belittling to narrow her down to just disturbing him wasn't it? She tilted her head and tried to make eye contact but where ever he was looking he was not really looking at her, kind of staring into the open. Why would he? What was there to see? Looking over her shoulder she could only see the water of the lake. Was that it? Did he see something on the water or in the reflection? No she could not see anything special so she looked back at him but he would already be going towards the water waving her along. She shook her head a little following him. He was indeed a little strange but well who was not these days? She thought even of her as being strange for others but that was okay as well, at least to her, when others did not like it she would not mind at least that was what she thought before thinking of the friends she made, she would miss them if they decided she was too odd to be around.
Now suddenly started talking again and she could get to know about him being a Genin like she was and his view of the people fearing them. Since she could understand why people had their concerns she could not understand how some of them could treat them like they did. Sometimes even with force, maybe because they knew the shinobi were not allowed to strike back at their own people never the less a good shinobi would never consider this stupendous idea in the first place. In fact she had learned her bone armour to just endure it better. But well who would take that from her anyways. She shrugged it off paying it no more thought instead going back to what he was doing since now he had reached the water and started to talk again. It was just barely two sentences, one primary that held maybe some very important about him. If she had to guess she would say that she for this moment was looking at an orphan. She would gladly take in if she was wrong because it was a pretty nice thing to be wrong about.
As he turned to smile at her she would softly smile back at him while he seemed to be recollecting his thoughts looking into the water or something of the sort. Water indeed had a calming effect to be honest but this guy seemed to be awfully collected inside his mind while staring at the blue surface. But then he asked what her reason for becoming a shinobi was and she thought about it. Or more o what to say about this type of thing since she had kind of thousand words to say what she wanted out of becoming a shinobi or why she did it in the first place. But this was not the moment to just start blabbering about something that was only concerning her so all she said was: "Well my father was a shinobi and as I inherited his blood abilities I was sure to become a shinobi just like him, well maybe not just like him, I hope to become a little more still like a human, he sometimes seems a little inhuman to me. He lives to fight and kill most of the times I suppose I try to fight to protect, but I am unsure if that is possible here, but...", she paused for a dramatic moment and raised shoulders and hands in a throw away pose, "I'll do it anyways."
This was what being a Hoshi shinobi was all about. Holding off the bad guy and getting beat in the back by the people you were supposed to protect. But it was a life to sustain and it was okay. So now she could watch the young man before her closely eying his movements as he was skipping stones into the water in front of him, inflicting waves upon it. "Where do you belong and why do you follow the path of a shinobi?", she then asked since he had hidden his heritage for now. Well not really hidden but not talked about it. He just said his name, well normally this would be enough but she did not like to be in a disadvantage even if that just meant him knowing her family name and she did not. But it was so much more than that. Why did he know about her clan? Why if he knew didn't he worry about the bloodthirsty history they had. Her father just sliced her and threw her across a lake, would that not raise suspicion or at least worry in him? No why not? She got kind of agitated thinking about why not and her thoughts were drawing circles but patiently she was waiting telling herself to wait, she could pursue him if he tried to bolt away from her, nail him down or just make several holes inside him, but she did not want to, this was not what she stood for, but well something she got trained to do.

He would listen as the young Kaguya girl described the processes and basis as to how she came to pursue the life of a shinobi. As he skipped the stones across the water surface as they slowly lost speed and would transcend down to the bottom of the lake. Entertained by the idea that her blood lineage would force her to walk the path of a Shinobi. It seeming so odd and even foolish to come to the conclusion that a bloodline would result in your career choice being sealed.
Obligated to pursue the bloody and unforgiving Shinobi path that many have damned themselves to follow. As he found this ideology all but amusing as he continued to skip the stones, he mistakenly decided to try and compare it to himself. Only to find his own mentality and outspoken reason to being a Shinobi as similar or even the same as her. His motives in which he believed to be true brought upon wanting to please his deceased parents. The only individuals in his life who made an impact on him to the utter core. Supportive and loving, this way being a tribute to their lives giving out.
To think he out of all people would try to make such a judgemental overview of Sanae? Who did he think he truly was. They both wielding the same motive and will to even walk this path to a fine degree. Though deep down Kutari knew this not to be true. The same voice and malicious intent residing deep inside him unable to fully bloom. Shackled down and forced to hide. Residing amongst the shadows as the conscious in control was unable to accept it for what it was. Instead using his parents and even blood as a reason to become a Shinobi. Having it all but “run in the family”.
After hearing the girl begin to speak about her father and feeling the need to become a Shinobi, he would listen with more interest. As he battered and aimed to shame himself as the girl went on speaking about her truth and way of living. Utterly ashamed of who he was and the crossroad he’s been forced to come to. Feeling so complete and confident in who he was as he lived up to and even followed the directions of his parents to a fine degree.
Seeing their teachings and ideology as his own and following them as directed. Such a way of living isn't living at all. Something Kutari realized as he learned the cruel ending of his parents and their influence on his life. Now conflicted and truly lost. Their words never being his own, only masking away the true Kutari and what lied within. As if two groups battled for the control over the other. The boy in the midst of the war, forced to be a treasure and having to say in his role. Lost as he was forced to wait and hope that his suffering would eventually end.
Time progressed slowly in this world as if the two had been speaking for hours on end. Both of their words and morals impacted another in some positive or negative manner. The world reviewing this and subliminally changing it’s scenery to keep the flow going. As the sun began to continue its descent to rest the landscape would follow its usual procedure. The breeze around becoming cooler and less forceful.
Allowing a mellow wind to travel across the forest and lake. The trees slowing their animations, and lofty swinging in time. Hearing the whistle of air as the leaves in a corresponding direction. Grass high and low rustling. The lake having little reflection off the sky as it transitioned to dusk. The previous influence of the sun beginning to fade as the sky twinkled from a lively hue to a mystical saturation. The two Genin being the only energetic sources around the Tekiatsu Lake as one disturbed the lake with stones and the other raising her hands in the air.
As Sanae neared the end of what she let out Kutari’s movements would slow. Reaching a much more quiet and sluggish swing as he was more invested in the words of the girl. Her father being more bloodthirsty and acting to kill, compared to her protective and shielding nature as a Shinobi. Two sides of the same coin. Both sides being completely legitimate to argue as the correct role of a Shinobi. It’s meaning and purpose being lost to the actions and feelings of predecessors. She seemed rather adamant and pride-filled about her purpose and means of following such a career. Her animated movements with raised shoulders and bringing her hands to the air.
As he looked over to her assuming to be to his right quite a bit out of arm's reach he could see the fire in her movements and facial expressions. Validating her feelings and who she was deep down. A protector. One who believed in fighting fire with fighting. Wanting to keep those unable to protect themselves out of harm's way. Even if that meant delving into the mystical arts of this world in order to bring others peace.
He respected the girl highly for it as he stared for a moment in reflection. Finding close to no passion or favoring in the same context for himself. Going back to his parents and how he was raised. Curious and confused as to what was he and why he chose this life. Being a protector the least of his worries.
A life he could never live or dedicate himself to. If anything one to reconcile with her father being a killer and showing bloodthirst. Though such an idea or epiphany to store within his mind causing him to act with fear. Going against all he was taught as the boy was raised. Seeing such ideals and morals as bad. Unable to truly respect the hypocrisy in his own life. Instead intended to wish away these facts and act as if they don’t exist. Living in fear of what he could be all along.
Despite this he went back to skipping his stones. His facial expression being troubled and lost as he went on with the task. Looking as the water made rings that extended outward. Feeling if anything more concerned and vulnerable as he tried to face his fears. Figure out what was going on with him. With a preexisting idea of who he was and having to follow that figure of himself.
This girl was strong if anything. In her moral beliefs and combative extent. He was curious to see how far she was willing to go for what she strived to achieve. What her goals came to be. Was it peace with all? Or to acquire enough strength to protect people from any attack that would come. He pondered the idea of always taking a beating for those who couldn’t take it themselves. A life he believed he couldn’t live if it came to it.
As she stopped speaking for a moment, Kutari would go on to skipping his acquired stones. Finding himself to being more skilled at the task. Wielding the dexterity and finesse in order to progress in his abilities to splash the water. Bringing his mind to the context Sanae used “inhuman”. Defining it based upon what her father fought for and dedicated himself to in his lifetime. Killing and pursuing the joys of battle.
One of which quenched the confusion in the boy's soul. As he gravitated towards the idea of an action packed battle. Picturing the tact and blood that would be sprayed in the fray. Inevitably costing the life of one, or even both. His fear skyrocketing as this sort of interest and way of living being seen nothing more than inhuman by his peers. Likely what his parents would believe in as well. Seeing him as this utterly disgusting form of an individual unable to be passed as a human. Such views and ideals being inhuman and not right to represent people. Skipping his stones as he watched the lake and beyond.
His actions would continue until he heard Sanae’s rebuttaling question. As he finished swinging another stone across the lake, watching the stone travel and cause the water to fluctuate. It being the last stone to run across the water. The boy's hand would have been slowly making it’s way back to his side if she had not spoken such a phrasing. Instead it jolting impulsively at the remark she made. Stopping in place mid descent down beside his hip. His instinctual reaction filled with a petrified look. A sudden shake would come about him.
Laced with despair and uncomforting images as he relayed the scenes which spiraled him into the hell he currently lived in. As the war waging on internally intensified with her question. He had no place of belonging. No area or home he could truly call his own anymore. No ties or family that he could call his own. He was detached from all of reality and its warmth. Just being a shadow that mingled with the outskirts of human interaction and reality as which they all knew it. Though he fully understood the idea that she was referring to his clan name or at least the blood ties he had within him. He had none.
Any which he had or could picture would only succumb to the gory images of his parents bodies laid to waste. Mangled and desecrated by running bandits and their ways. Taken by surprise and treating their livelihood like trash. Likely torturing and finding joy in the act of killing. Causing human suffering. The two held close to his house and cherished wholeheartedly he’d now picture dead and blood soaked. Even then what pride could he take from being called their child? Likely enjoying the actions which did away his only family. Finding pride or even pursuing such a “hobby” nothing more than disrespectful.
Giving birth to an identity crisis unlike any other. As he preached and tried to live by the rules and ideals his parents taught and what he assumed to be his own. They were right and just. Respected by all around them. Their fellow peers saying high words and wielding just as high expectations of him. Having an interest in the path of a Shinobi and wishing to please his parents. Seeing it as a must and wanting to make them proud. If this was all true then why was he in such a crossroads? Why was it all so difficult for him to believe?
That he wanted to be a Shinobi to be just and protect. To live up to his parents expectations and even their peers. Instead setting his eyes on the opposite side of it all. Finding more interest and passion. Feeling as if it had all been a lie. However how easy would it be to just let go of all that your life had been based upon? To seemingly fail your parents beyond the grave and be resented. Those who you were more than appreciative for.
It made him question all that he had even work for up until now. Where his interests truly lied? What did he want and who was he? Question after question battering him down more and more. Unable to answer them truthfully as he feared what he knew deep down. As if his previous life being a seal on the person he truly was. The seal being gone and now able to roam free. Slowly gaining grasp and revealing itself. Destroying who he was and all he knew.
The boy was resistant to change. This change being a complete rework of who he was. The life he knew and all he set his eyes on before and believed in thanks to others. He would look to Sanae with a mixture of fear and resentment. Turning swiftly and as if viewing her as a hostile. Her curiosity causing the boy to lose his cool.
Being more than a touchy subject. If anything the subject that brought such trouble and chaos into his life. One which featured a tower of lies and myths ready to topple down. Kutari trying with all his might to reshape it to be his truths and keep it all together. Being a failure in his attempt and only causing more sorrow for the boy.
A case of no winning side for him. Just to endure. Though he wouldn’t act or signal any intent to attack her or even move closer then the simple turn. At odds with how to view or. Whether to be upset with her or at himself for even being affected in this way. Aware that he was losing his cool and beginning to allow this to influence him too much.
The boy would be lost on what to do as his face soured and looked at her. Showing no teeth but possessing eyes that spoke distaste and overwhelming fury. Realizing that he would have to calm down and get back to his mindset previously to even react in a more understanding manner. Simply looking wild eyed and hostile as of right now. He’d slowly begin to try and calm himself down by looking to the ground below Sanae’s feet. Unable to look her in the eyes as it would simply bring back more thoughts.
Looking to relax and find some form of peace from before. Not even noticing he had clenched his fist in the midst of his inner rant. As he slowly began to untighten the grip and allow it to all but smoothen out beside him. Feeling the nerves begin to relax after having activated in response to his instincts. Slipping out a long sigh from his lips as he could feel the hot air escape. Its temperature in the form of his previous feelings taking a much more physical representation. Taking a few more moments to just stand idle and review all but happened.
Ashamed at his cool being lost and the pain seeping within his heart. Unable to truly forgive himself for his outrage and instability. Kutari would turn back to the lake as he began to spoke. Knowing that it offered him a more serene mindset. Giving him a softened feeling and able to smother his rising emotions. His voice suggesting a boy who’s been through all but too much grief and inner chaos. Sounding tired and edgy. Wishing not to look at Sanae as he viewed the lake. Internally watching a slideshow of his parents bodies wasted on the ground, the funeral after and the horrid life he lived after. Wishing for his confusion to all but end.
“There isn’t exactly a place I belong to now. My reasons for walking this path as a Shinobi are quite...Clouded you could say. Much has happened recently which have impacted me in several ways. I’ll spare you the details. But it’s all thoughts I’d rather not visit at this moment. It’s just a question I truly don’t want to answer as it comes with some negative thoughts. Sorry about that. ”
He would end with a very low drop. Apologizing for his sudden reaction at the time. Not wanting to let it just go without some form of a reason. If happening he’d allow a lengthy time of silence to pass over them both. Finding himself looking at the lake again and residing in his own thoughts. Drained and emotionally tapped out. His eyes covered in fatigue and freedom. A lack of sleep and his own mind going rampant causing a continuous cycle of hell. The bags beneath his eyes showing themselves. His skin giving its true form as it looked drained of life and weakened. Kutari’s exterior look not even able to match the onslaught within. Not being easy at the very least.
After the moment of silence happened he was able to recollect himself better. If the silence was fully let out. Open to Sanae’s intervention if wanting to. He had a question to ask. A sort of mental check to ask seeing as she was possibly one of the better people to question in the moment. Fitting the criteria necessary for his question and what it would be. He had been through a lot as stated before already. But he had to fully understand what it was he felt. Or what he believed he needed to.
Sanae’s respectable standards of being a protector. He was curious to see what she felt and how it all operated for her. He would swiftly turn to her with a sudden energy. Though his exterior continued to look long and drained. Wielding his hands in his pockets once again. Having a face which pronounced curiosity and a necessity of this question he was soon to ask. Desperately as if he needed to know the truth. The answer that lied in her statement.
“I have a question about your views as a Shinobi and who you are. I’ve had a long time to view the actions of a Shinobi and the world we live in. Understanding and even seeing the ones who protect and those who devour lives and kill for the sport of it. Having no utter interest then to cause destruction.”
He’d pause for a moment. His heart racing. Blood boiling. Was this the best question to ask? This particular person he just met. Knowing he had no other options or people to turn too he would continue on. Wording it to be more precise and accurate.
“You said before you fight to protect. And I assume you’ll do anything you can in order to get to that goal. To accomplish what you’ve set your heart on. What makes you so adamant to protect? Is it an inert feeling that simply causes you to act to shield those from harm's way? Possibly a means of duty to the people? Or maybe simply being who you are. Apart of you and what you stand for. Even protecting those who’ve done you wrong or you barely even know.”
He would look to the girl with worry. Afraid if he asked a loaded question. His feelings showing as he showed more passion in his words and face. Becoming more anxious in a way. Wanting to make himself more clear for her to answer properly he would add on. To formulate what all she hopefully would answer for him. Keeping his mouth partially open to suggest to her he wasn’t done speaking.
“I guess in essence...I’m asking you what drives you to protect and stand for others. An entitlement brought upon the role of a Shinobi, or being more than just an obligation. A part of who you are as a person.”
As he concluded his question he would look towards her in anticipation. Wanting to see from someone pure of heart and intent to help and protect if it was a feeling she simply acted out being apart of her. Or if maybe something she just played and wasn’t like at all. Seeing as how she described her father being more bloodthirsty than protective. It could be said she wasn’t taught to be that way. Therefore being someone who is like that to the core. Maybe she could shed some light on how she was feeling.
Being a sort of beacon to his dilemma at hand and make himself feel better. Or possibly more confused. He began to rely on her motives and beliefs on his question as it would provide him the comfort he could potentially achieve. Absorbing it all fully and with purpose. The boy lost and unknowing what to think anymore. Uncaring at this point how he would be viewed. Simply wanting answers.

Obligated to pursue the bloody and unforgiving Shinobi path that many have damned themselves to follow. Re: In the Time of Despair[P,NK,Sanae]
Tue Oct 17, 2017 9:02 pm
Sanaes eyes were put to the face of the young man opposing her. His expression being simply that of someone who was frantically thinking of something to say but could not make out what is should be. What was so hard on saying a name? She wrinkled her forehead and looked closer at him. On the inside she was kind of getting restless herself, wanting him to pull himself together and say something. Why wasn't he just saying a name, why was he displaying this facade that so obviously let through, that something was wrong with what she asked? Why did he give of the unnerving feeling of something being wrong and what the hell was it that was wrong in the first place. She could feel nervous movement inside her body. Where her bones reacting to the thought she was having? The stress level that rose inside her because the one person opposing her at the moment made her worry about what he had to hide and why he would not tell her. What was he hiding? She could feel that her left arm was kind of pulsing to get out of her. She wanted to grab it hand hold it to his throat to get the answers she needed but only now she could still resist the urge to just use brute force to get what she wanted.
He did not even look her in the face anymore although his eyes had burned with fury the last time she looked at him and this had been unsettling and furthered her defence thinking a little more. Was she to knock him out and drag him to some kind of authority figure because he could be some kind of spy that was not really into his work because he did not even think up a good identity to cover his own? But wait Hoshi was kind of very inviting to anyone who wanted so why all this fuss anyway? She could feel fury rising inside of her, her foot tapping the ground rapidly. It felt as if an eternity passed her by while she was staring at him while she waited for him to say something or do something anything to at least try to sooth her or answer her question. And on top of that he had turned to look at the lake again instead of her while they were talking. He better have a good explanation or else she would need to take action.
But then just as she was about to burst he finally opened his mouth and said something but nothing really of worth. Just that everything he could say about it was that he did not want to talk about it because it was unpleasant for him. She rolled her eyes and clenched her fists. Why was he like this? She was angry at him? No not at him at herself. Why did she just tell what he wanted to know? No this was not at all right, but still why couldn't he just even the odds since she came a long way towards him? Sorry would not cut it at all! She could not gain anything from he being sorry and she wanted to know why he knew so much without her telling. She needed to know if he was danger or just someone who simply knew much and this not only because of herself because of her family so he needed to talk and that fast. She had never been that infuriated with something going on like that. If she could she would breathe fire right now but well that was not quite possible.
While she tried to control the anger rising inside of her fuelled by his behaviour and the way he acted kind of just like if he would want to know everything and nobody needed to know anything. Well this is how anyone should handle it in this business but then no one would get to know anything. And as he opened his mouth the next time he was kind of asking just more questions about her and her face darkened. Why did he do this over again and then did not offer anything in return. This was not how the world worked in her mind. But still she needed two or three deep breathes until she calmed herself enough to ease her heart not to just yell at him. But then she looked at him signing heavily. "I do protect people because I want to, it so happens that I do have an ability that kind of makes me the perfect shield for others. I do not care what they have done to me before when they belong to the ones that I need to protect I will always jump in. This is kind of an obligation to become a shinobi of Hoshi since Church does not take nicely to shinobi and there are times where they take to even beating on us. I don't know how it would be seen if someone like me was to defend him or herself from this in any other way then simply running but it never occurred to me to do so. Because a strike from me could do so much more harm to them than they could ever inflict on me and they are the people I have decided to devote my life to, so I don't know in the end everything takes a matter in this, but becoming what I am rested on my shoulders alone, because I entered the academy before I was sure I could use my blood ability, but well now I can and that is why I can understand people who would fear us, these powers are devastating forces to whiteness." The young girl was looking at him again putting her hands onto her hips where they grabbed into her top to get a hold of herself while she was no staring at the boy in front of her thinking about how to squeeze something out of him.
Then she decided to clear her throat again and looked at him a little bit stressed she raised a hand and rubbed her temples and the root of her nose before then finally looking at him again: "But one thing, tell me your family name at least. I don't like the thought of me telling you everything you wanna know but not really knowing who you are at all. And don't try some fuzzy excuse like it hurts you too much, you will always come into situations where people will want you to introduce yourself and which will bring your trouble if you cannot speak openly because people like I will expect the worse", she changed her body centre a little and shifted the weight onto the other leg to relax the one it rested on before. "Past might be bitter, but it is over and if you dwell in it you get drowned", that was rather philosophic but she thought it was kind of fitting the situation at least a bit. Now it was her shortly looking into the distance of the lake and at the reflections of the lake and smiled softly and then looked back at him.

Re: In the Time of Despair[P,NK,Sanae]

Kutari would listen as he waited in anticipation. Wanting to learn what this source of purity and light had to offer and spill to him. Something he could take advantage of and cultivate to a stable platform to help his own mindset. To further himself along and come up with a verdict of what it is he should do and feel. As the twilight lit sky made its appearance to overlook an opportunity of a lifetime for the boy, it would all seem to down spiral. Like the time of day turning into darkness the one glimmer of hope ceasing to exist and shaping into something sinister and lifeless. As he listened to the girl and watched her with his impactful eyes, his face filled with gloom and resentment. Wielding a cold and unmoving face as he listened to the passionate speech about her own feelings towards helping and protecting others. All of which he assumed he was like and could relate too.
In the end it all only coming down to the boy having no urge or feelings of sympathy. Being hit with an almost motionless wave of passion and the ability to relate. As she went on about her obligations as a shinobi and interest in helping others, it only made him feel more useless in such a category. His own motives and reasons for being a shinobi put to the test. Hell even his very own existence and purpose up to this point. Shattered like glass, overwhelming him with an unknown fear. This fear centralizing around who he was and what he truly stood for. As he had no clue now what to do and how to act. What to believe. Partaking in a complete identity crisis that would grow more and more to consume him.
The boy stood there in shock. The one hope of finding himself and truly validating all he’s believed and “wanted” evaporating almost instantly. His previous physical anguish and despair no longer present. Instead residing internally and interacting with a world that far outweighed hell. As Kutari felt utterly defeated and humiliated with himself. Any backbone he once possessed about his character and who he was gone. He held no thoughts or feelings within that truly riled him up or caused the boy to flare in rage. Only being a cool breeze amongst an empty desert. He wondered now what all he truly stood for and what was his purpose.
It was one thing to not even feel any sort of sympathy with the lifestyle Sanae choosed with her own free will and interests. However, what truly terrified him instead was his disgust for such a life. Seeing it as mundane and difficult to live out. Instinctively reacting to the girl’s interest to protect with a spiteful resistance and unearthly calling. This calling suggesting that this life would only bring him misery and struggle. As if to say his feelings were trying to say he was meant to live a life far from what is known as protecting. Lying to his own nature and instead trying to suppress it for so long. This internal malice using this opportunity to boast the more chaotic forms of life and what came after. As he pictured what naturally would combat those who protect. The people who were the very reasons others felt the necessity to protect. Those with harmful instincts and interests to destroy. To kill and combat, causing a world of suffering for others. To them being an undying joy and fun code to live by. These outlets peaking his curiosity much more than protecting others.
It would be a thought that would sit on Kutari’s head. As he had no way of truly coping with or imaging himself in such a life. Especially due to the mark his parents left on him before their untimely death. He would simply operate passively then on in the two’s conversation. Not knowing what to think anymore. His ability to truly voice emotion and passion to his words and thoughts coming short. The moment to actually recollect himself was nonexistent as Sanae would continue on with her inquiry about his family name. Not even noticing the sudden actions and tone that she would displayed at her increasing irritation. He would look at the girl with his uninvested eyes that looked tired and filled with gloom.
She continued being interested in his family title. She even tried to work with him saying that his past should be left in the past. And otherwise holding onto it would cause him to “drown”. He wondered why the girl was so invested in knowing what his family’s name was and even seeming a bit hostile and upset. Though it would make sense as Kutari would suddenly ask her a plethora of questions and make it an interview towards her. The idea of leaving behind the past? It was an idea he had to consider in the moment. As he could understand where she was coming from as it would in fact drown him. Hell, it was doing it at this very moment. Possibly needing a new background. To get away from this life he’s got himself into and have peace of mind. A new change of scenery. The first step potentially towards the right direction for himself.
He had no one to trust after all. Being in one big village all alone. He was unsure who was truly able to be trusted. What to believe and who to turn too. Already vulnerable and knocked down a couple pegs. He would perk up to regain his composure as he stood taller and assumed his better posture. His eyes more focused. Drowning in the past? It was an idea. He would suddenly remember back to the time of his life when he lived as a refugee with his family. Away from the attack on Kumogakure long ago. Back before they departed his parents were known for their affiliation and bloodline as Kaguya’s. Especially his father. Though once they departed the family would go under a new name. To hide their roots and being traced back to Kumogakure. Starting fresh. For a long time they adopted that name, making it its own family heritage though knowing who they truly were.
Even arriving to Hoshigakure and keeping the name. Not one to trust easily even if the village was known to be welcoming. As to be expected from those on the run for so long. Though they were shinobi, his parents would use their kekkei genkai when alone. Though renown and powerful wielders of the bloodline needing to be safe. Keeping it to themselves and only using it while together. As an academy student, Kutari considered potentially going back to his roots and housing the name of his ancestors. Though at this very moment, Kutari understood that was incorrect. If anything at this very moment he felt truly detached and unaffiliated with his clansmen and heritage. If anything the blood in his body being an alienated intruder. Having no family ties and not even able to relate with a person who shares his blood, he was truly detached from the clan known as Kaguya.
He needed a new change. To become his own person. At least for awhile until he could truly get himself together and know what to believe. No longer able to house the name that was once created as refugees. As that Kutari may have been the incorrect Kutari. Incorrect as in improper and not the natural form of himself. This being his way of breaking away from his past and essentially starting new. At this moment creating his own family and surname to house. Only moments after Sanae asked once again did Kutari speak. Being the first step towards the Kutari he would find and understand. Work with and see if it was the true him. Breaking away from the shackles that once kept him bounded.
“I suppose you’re right. The past seems to hold people back to a fine degree. Xeraku. Kutari Xeraku.”
Kutari would speak coolly and distant. Thanking Sanae for helping him come to this realization. Though unsure how to feel as he dedicated himself to this new persona. Being an important and necessary step for himself to end the suffering in his heart. Though if anything now more confused and difficult of what to do now. However for now he would worry about the conversation happening before him. His glare was tired and focused. Retreating back to his comfortable space.
“I hope that satisfies you.”
He would say in a somewhat hasty fashion. Coming to realize time flying by in what seemed like a flash. It becoming late slowly but surely and in time needing to head back home. He would stand around idly as he wondered something.
“Is there something else you wanted to ask me? It seems you had quite a few things you wanted to say prior. Or at least curious about?”
Kutari would give her the turn to freely ask anything she liked. Aware that he was being a bit forceful with his questions and curiosity in answers. Feeling the need to give back what he took.

Re: In the Time of Despair[P,NK,Sanae]

Sanae waited patiently for him to conclude his inner thinking. She had gotten used to the fact, that he was thinking everything through for the moment. On his face there seemed to be the effort to hide whatever he was thinking of from her but the fact that he was thinking did not disappear. All the little twitches and the small flinching made her realize that he was indeed kind of arguing with himself. What was he so curious about or what did he need to argue himself with. She did not know about it but she could surly see the twist inside him his going back and forth over something and well she kind of was curious about it, but also a little annoyed. Why did he take so long? What was he rambling on about, what he needed to construct before he could tell her what she wanted to know. Her brows narrowed down a little because she was thinking of him constructing lies to fool her but what good would that do him if he took so obviously long to think about it, that there had to be something about it or not? Why wouldn't he be open about it if he had to hide something this kind of behaviour would be very suspicious. Her hands kind of roughed up her hair and then straightened it out again tearing out the band that was holding it in a tail and doing it all over again until he finally decided to say something that would represent his family name.
But that did not strike her in any way. That name was totally unknown and she was unsatisfied with the result. She would later on make some investigation on this subject. His second line afterwards was kind of tilting her but she forced herself to keep calm about it, since she loved just to shout at him, no, she was not, but well she would hold it back, because it was all in good measure. Gently she rubbed her temples looking at him a little at unease. Slowly she was swaying herself from side to side while she watched him. It seems as if he was about to just run away from things right now but his last remark made her stop him once more before he ended up going away without her knowing just one thing that was bugging her the whole time and that was making her nervous because she was not sure about what it meant that he knew all of this. Maybe this was a point where her father already would have killed him, because of his not stating why he would just know who they were by observing them. So she looked directly at him and stated the obvious for her at least.
"How did you know that I belong to the Kaguya before I told you so? Who gave you this information and why?", while asking she looked at him a little stressed about it but well who would not? At least with that history where one had a bad reputation of being a ruthless killer and a bloodthirsty being which would indeed make up enough panic or at least distrust to even have them as targets of revenge from people who had lost family members to a member of their clan. Sometimes blood bounds where kind of tricky to maintain even if one did not follow those old ways, because a name was still a name and belonging to a clan could make someone a target, because the crimes committed by one or more could just reflect on all clan members. Maybe he was such a person who held a grudge against her clan and that would mean that her family could be in trouble or danger.
She shook her head and rubbed the root of her nose and thought about it, if that was the case she needed to kill him right away, or at least make him prisoner. But she did not want to, he seemed troubled enough because he was always thinking and worrying as it seemed but still, it was dangerous for her to think about it, because this was a path she did not like to take. It was full of prejudice and fear. It led to misunderstandings and pain. No she did not want it to be that way, maybe there was a reasonable explanation?
