Hoshi Christmas Meeting (Semi-Open) (NK)

It had been chilly the last few days, which was kind of annoying to the Fuinjutsu mistress of Hoshigakure. Usually, the girl would just hide out in Lux Aeterna, where the girl could just make the weather as hot or cold as she wanted. However... the girl had found something she didn't quite understand... she had found a bunch of Christmas items just laying around in her dimension.... something that she didn't quite understand. She hadn't willed them to be there, she hadn't brought them in to separated reality.... so Hikari didn't know exactly how it had gotten there. It appeared to be a few Christmas presents... among them were a couple of Crackers. At first, the Jounin was weary of the items, but after returning to the regular dimension, the chestnut haired girl found that multiple people had received these gifts. Normaly, any Shinobi would find this suspicious and would want to investigate, however, since Nick would kill Faith if Hikari seriously investigated it, the Hoshi Jounin wouldn't care and just thought it would be a good time to do.

As such, the woman had spent the last few days placing fliers up to other ninja's asking them to meet up in a small little trinket shop called "The Mystery Shack." It was a fun little shop with a lot of items in it that claimed to be supernatural. Of course, everything was so obviously fake, that no one took it seriously, (Probably why the place hasn't been burnt to the ground by the religious fanatics.) however... there was a reason Hikari chose this place. In the back, there was a study room open to the public, It didn't hold a lot of things, just a couple of desk, a few magnifying glasses, and other items that could be used in detective work. While prehaps not the best place to figure things out, the Magical Girl felt because of the name, it would be a great place to figure out what was in the crackers, and discuss theories as to where it came from.

With that, Hikari would take a seat at one of the large round tables in the study room, She had brought a bunch of still soft, warm, and chewy chocolate chip cookies, along with some hot chocolate. Now... just to see if anyone would come.  


(The point of this thread is just if you want to open your Christmas crackers, discus IC theories where the event items came from, and just to have some Christmas fun. I am going to say you don't really need to keep a posting order for this thread, since some people will just want to go back and forth with each other. Just be respectful and wait at least a little bit of time to give someone else a chance to post if you are posting a lot.)

orokana walked into the shack. he has saw some posters around town pointing towards this place. he was interested to see whats going on, and if he was bored he would leave with out a moments notice. though when he walked it no one was really there. he noted a door in the back was open and walked inside, he noted hikari was there was he walked in. he took off his cloak and placed it on a seat in a far corner of the room. he sat down wondering whats going on. he reached into his pocket to grab his book and when he did he noted there was something else in his pocket. he placed them on table in front of them and looked puzzled at them. he didnt enjoy crackers because he didnt like the dry saltiness they had as a taste. he was confused but they also looked like there was something inside of the cracker? he has been up for a mere 3 hours and he was already done with the day. he ignored them and looked at his book. started to read his more recent entries in his book. he hoped not a lot of people would come. if they did he was going to leave. he disliked large crowds.

At the detection of a chakra presence, Hikari would turn to look at the door. She recognized the presences that was coming, it was of the Chunin Orokana. As he entered the room Hikari would call him over. "Hey Oro! Come, have a seat! There are cookies to the far right, still warm and chewie, so you should probably get some. Also feel free to grab some hot chocolate, there are cups and the container right next to the cookies." At this point, The Jounin would wait for the master of Genjutsu to gather his items and hopefully come over to sit by her. If not, wasn't the end of the world, she would just wait for someone else to do so. "So.... have you seen the Christmas items we have been getting? Any idea where they have been coming from? Or what is inside?"

orokana looked over and grabbed a cookie then sat near hik. "honestly no i have no idea why or how these things are getting here." he said as he took out his book. "did you get anything interesting hik." he would ask as he was half reading his book. not really caring, he wasnt one for Christmas. "any plans for Christmas, dinner with the family?" he didnt care if she did or didnt, he was trying to keep the conversation alive. he yawned slightly.

The white haired and bearded man made his way slowly through the streets. It was slow progress, far slower than the man had moved in the last twenty years for sure. Still, he didn't mind at all. While his ability to walk was limited it was still walking. A vast improvement over what he had been like for the last several months. He was using a single crutch to keep himself upright. His left arm was still out of action, though he could do basic movement with it now. Another month or so and the man may be combat ready once again. At least on the level of a basic Genin perhaps. Now that he was able to actually function as a normal adult he really needed a shave and haircut, but that would come later.

No the more pressing matter was his stalker. The stalker that had been leaving him presents periodcally over the last few days now. Mostly christmas crackers with random things inside. Like seriously it was some kind of weird vodoo shit probably. Hoshigakure was really full of odd people.

The next thing of note was that there was a flier left in his bedroom. An odd flier, one that advertised some sort of 'mystery shack.' Suspicious stuff. How had it gotten into his bedroom? Was it by the person who had left him the gifts? Takeo didn't know, but he was there to find out. So the man now found himself entering the weird place. Moving at a snails pace the man hobbled into the back area. Hair draped over the upper part of his face he looked around the room.

What he found was most sinister.

The boy he had met before, the odd child who didn't care if he lived or died..or something.

And that weird chick who had touched him inappropriately that one time.

"So you're the culprits behind this..gift thing?" The man asked suspiciously, looking between the pair.

Sanae had recently not really been up to par. Chuunin exam, housework, Shinobi work to earn money and then the care for her father and everything else that seemed to rest on her shoulder. Still this was usually a time to celebrate and be happy amongst families. Currently there had been occurrences of strange items turning up at her doorstep. Funny coloured blades, colourful glowing wire and all sorts of sweets, first she thought her father was behind it, but he denied such motion. Maybe it was fun for him to see her bruiting over this. But then one day when she walked home from a visit at the hospital she found a flyer and looked at it. Send by a Jounin she knew quite well and she had come across this kind of weird stuff as well. Maybe there was more to it then her father banter. So to the sad time she had made her way to The Mystery Shack.
To add to the fun she had brought a small keg of punch out of fruit juice a little bit of cinnamon along with some throw away cups so everyone could enjoy it if wished so. So as she entered the Shop she could see that not many had joined since and in the back room at a round table Hikari was sitting. Sanae would peek out from behind the back of the man she did not know and spotted another friendly face. Orokana the one teaching her about Genjtsu. But first things first, she smiled looking at the Jounin and took a small bow to her. "Hikari-sensei I am happy to meet you again. I have brought punch I thought it fit the spirit of things", she put down the keg that held the warm liquid inside and placed he cups beside it. "And nice to see you again Orokana", she noted while doing so. Then she took a short glance at the stranger she could now face: "Nice to meet you, I am Sanae", she would offer an introduction before once again turn to Hikari to take a place beside her at the table. "How are you doing?"

Rudolph, the red nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose and if you ever saw it… The kage had been receiving strange Christmas gifts for some time now and it was getting him into the holiday spirit more than it usually did. The lord and savior had been born this month it was a time for joyous parties and cheer. What better than to spread holiday cheer than with liquor and beer. Carrying his sack full of drinks, the man had made protrusions on his head that resembled antlers.

Passing the shack Kyousuke could feel the aura of Hikari and Orokana, along with some that were unfamiliar to him. Stepping inside he would walk up to the people at the table. “Merry Christmas!” He would say pulling out a bottle of whiskey. “Drinks to warm you up?” With the bottle the kage also grabbed one of the strange crackers. Did I put that in there? He would crack it open to see what he received this time, perhaps it was more holiday themed weapons. “I guess, someone is spreading the joy around us. It’s a miracle.”

Shouhei sat cross legged and was leaning over to study the present at the end of his bed with a raised eyebrow. I mean, his parents had clearly stated the previous year that they wouldn’t give him any presents before the winter solstice celebration would commence. You know? Like advent and calendar gifts. Aka it was time to stop being a kid when he had better hazard pay then most non-shinobi in the city.

Well there was no sense in staring at it all day and when it was so dearly addressed to him with a nice curly cursive writing, and that he could survive a basic bomb that a civilian could muster. The present itself was pretty small, of Cylinder shape, and red and green like one would expect of this season. The feeling of the paper was special too, but Shouhei couldn’t quite put his finger on why that was. Though, he felt like he needed to save it so he got a hold of a knife and cut the tape open. What greeted him inside was a bit disappointing however. It turned out to be just a Christmas themed cracker, a sizeable one, but a cracker none-the-less.

“Well there is no reason to complain too much about a mystery gift I guess.” He noted as he sealed it into a scroll to open up later, and went on with his day where he noticed the notes Hikari had put up about meeting at The Mystery Shack. He snickered a bit immaturely about the name, but decided to go there anyhow.

Shouhei arrived just at the tail of a familiar kage, although Shouhei had to admit he didn’t get that memo until the old Snowman had been in his position for weeks, who as always chewed the scenery like groceries on sale. Shouhei himself was wearing a kimono with with colors of grey, black and with white silk belt tied to his waist. “Hello everyone.” He said calmly as he entered. “So when are we going to tar and feather, Hikari who is clearly he mastermind behind all this?” He jested.

Xuba sat atop the highest building in the area a safe several stories (chakra supressed to a 1.) Yet he quietly gazed towards the direction of the wind.  He was merely singing quietly singing. As the golden layers of yellow hit the west for the sun.



Hmm...Winter storm is a commin... reminds me of there.

Xuba thought as he finished singing the cool nip of the winter air met his skin. However having trained in such a fridged eviornment he was perfectly fine with it. He spent months in the frozen wasteland. 

Feels nice for certain. Still wonder how these people will fare.

He could faintly make out the faint falling of snow as he carefully pulled out a strange spear object of green. Some kind of misteltoe spear where it caused a few animals to find their respective mates and got... results from being close to one another. 

So around this time of year this kind of stuff comes. Hm what happens if....

He let the thought slide momentarily as  he quietly  spotted a nice wonderful scent of warm apples.

Mmmmmmmmm.. well lets see... its a good time to have a juice.

Having the silent trained steps of a seasoned theif/cut throat. Xuba arrived at the scene hoising tbe mistletoe above him to ward off thoes unwilling to kiss him. Which seemed to have an effect on some women as they quietly blushed and whispered in each others ears. Yet as he approached  the man celling fresh apple cider had the seasonary heart to offer xuba two full kegs of the fresh stuff. One had a hint of alcohol which as temperment he was. He did not mind a break from his rule. Hoisting the  barrels over his shoulders revealing some freshly chisled muscles xuba made his way through the street as withdeft balence and awareness he made his way as carefully as he could. 

The wonderful part about this was the clearing ahead he noted some people making way towards some shack. In a booming voice of a pure bass he began to sing the music scale to prep his voice.  in a slow begining as he collected a few songs from around his travels. With the holding of the first note xuba rose in octive in a show of both a well trained voice due to practice. 

As he neared the  about 30 meters from the shack he stopped singing and approached his foot steps audible. The hot cider steaming as it slouched in his arms the spear held between his fingers not stabbing him nor any fool trying to run infront of him.  The door having being closed crashed open as xuba with a spear of mistletoe would appear as a silithouse as he would sing in full baratone.
