Mastering Genjutsu Release

Higuto stepped onto the field as he took in the breezy summer air while thinking of what to do next for the night. He felt it may be good to learn some more techniques to add to his repertoire as he felt he was still lacking when compared to certain things he saw others pull off. He felt now would be a good time to improve upon his Taijutsu next as he was still in need of learning more close quarters combat moves. He knew standard kicks and punches but now he felt he needed to be able to block and counter more efficiently against enemy attacks.

Therefore he had heard of a blocking technique that served the purpose of making one's movements either slightly stronger or faster depending on the way they maneuvered the block. He placed both of his feet firmly into the dirt as he brought his hands up. The block worked for punches or kicks delivered up high and that allowed many openings to show themselves if a skilled block was administered. He put one arm up and closed his hand into a fist as he had learned doing so could increase one's strength into the next strike.

He lunged his fist suddenly forward as he felt that he could do some real damage to an opponents gut or chest with such a punch. He smiled as he did feel a bit more strength flow into the punch as he brought his hand down and relaxed his feet as he stretched his arms and legs. He then got back into a stance as his feet once again dug into the dirt and he brought his left arm up once more. This time he kept his hand open as he was told that doing so could help increase a person's control of their opponent and therefore help make the user faster a little. He brought his arm up and imagined himself catching a high kick from an opponent as he grabbed their leg and imagined himself bringing their leg down where he'd hurt it by either ramming an elbow or knee into it. He nodded as he relaxed once more feeling that he had an enlightenment in learning how to block. He nodded, satisfied, as he stood up straight and hopped in place while shaking his limbs loose and warming up in order to get to his real objective.

He had recently learned the technique necessary in breaking out of a Genjutsu but he'd heard from reliable sources that while knowing the jutsu was indeed a feat that was necessary in any shinobi's toolbox mastering it made it even way better. There was a way of making it so that no hand seals were necessary to use it and that would prove useful on the field of battle. For example, while the regular technique was enough to break free of Genjutsu by itself, there were Genjutsu that could paralyze those caught within them to the point where they couldn't form any hand seals. So now it was time for him to master Genjutsu Release in order to have that advantage.
He closed his eyes as he imagined himself caught within an enemies Genjutsu, one where rope or arms and hands were pinning his arms in place, as he concentrated on the chakra within him. He tried to compress his chakra to where it could come to a halt completely which proved more difficult to do without his hands up to control the flow within. Nevertheless he kept his hands along the sides of his body as he continued to concentrate as slowly but surely the chakra continued to slow down before coming to a stop. He felt his body relax and warm up in reaction to his chakra flow stopping as he opened his eyes. "Release." He felt his chakra expand out of him in a sudden burst as he could tell he had succeeded with the action. He smiled as he allowed his chakra to flow freely once more inside him and he waited for a bit before he would continue. He looked up at the night sky as the clouds rolled through and covered part of it, hiding the stars, as he smiled and allowed himself to relax and listen to nature. Nightly wildlife had woken from their daytime slumber as the sounds of owls and bats pierced the sky. Before long he felt ready once again as he closed his eyes and focused on the chakra within him once more.

He concentrated again as his chakra slowed down even faster this time as he kept his hands in his pockets to keep them from moving up and forming the tiger seal. It was still hard to concentrate it all into a halt as while it was faster it was still going slower than he'd have liked. He breathed slowly as he finally felt his chakra flow halt once again and he opened his eyes once more to look at his surroundings. "Release." The chakra within bulged out in a radius that surrounded his immediate area as he chuckled at having learned a new function for his Genjutsu Release tech. He once more allowed his chakra to flow free as he sat in the grass and laid down inside. He felt one more try wouldn't hurt as he closed his eyes and imagined himself pinned to the ground. He concentrated as the chakra inside him once more started to come to a halt as it came naturally to him now and the flow stopped quicker than ever before. He opened his eyes as the flow within stayed at a stand still. "Release." The jutsu expanded his chakra outwards for one final time before Higuto allowed it to flow once again and he kipped up to his feet. He had done it. He had mastered the technique and would be able to escape any jam now. He walked to the exit of the field, confident at his new ability, as he was feeling one step closer to becoming stronger.
