Shoto Learns his First Earth Jutsu
Wed Jan 31, 2018 2:02 pm
Shotomoru Senju woke up in his small house once again as he sat up and yawned over having not getting a good night's sleep. He had been resting from illness and had to take off for a few days from his duties being as he was unable to even move or walk during his time down from work. Today, though, he felt better as he stretched his body and took in the darkness of his room as the sunlight outside was dim due to the sun only barely coming up over the horizon. He wiped the sleep out of his eyes and looked at his hands as he couldn't help but feel weakened thanks to his extended absence and he felt that he needed to correct that today. He got up to his feet, his legs shaky thanks to him not being on them for so long, as he went to his bathroom in order to catch himself a nice shower. Upon getting into the bathroom and shower he reflected and looked within himself to see how his chakra was doing in terms of girth and power. He was delighted to see that he could still feel it burning strong and ready within him and he frankly couldn't wait to get back on the field and put it through it's paces.
After washing up and finishing his shower he dried himself off as he walked over to the sink in order to brush his teeth. He looked at himself in the mirror, envisioning what he would look like if he gained the power to become a Jounin or higher, as thoughts of being stronger than he already was occupied his thoughts. He finished brushing his teeth, spitting into the sink and rinsing his mouth and brush, as he walked out of the bathroom and made himself a bowl of cereal. He sat at a table, caught in his thoughts, as he began to eat in order to gain the necessary strength to go through a nice day of training. He didn't know what he was going to necessarily be doing for his training but he did know that he'd be learning new wood style jutsu as he wanted to improve upon his arsenal. Upon deciding upon this he got up and took his bowl to the sink to give it a wash before he went over to his wardrobe closet and pulled out his clothes. He put on his usual black clothing as he looked outside to see that the day was still quite dim and starting as he stretched and cracked his bones in order to prepare them.
He left his home, locking the door behind him, and looked up to the sky to see that there were plenty of clouds rolling by which put a small smile on his face. If there were clouds than maybe he'd be given relief for when the sun was fully shining as they would sometimes roll over the sun and cool whatever the shade touched. This made him slightly happier as he looked down from his perch to the village and thought that it would be a good idea to get himself some lunch for later as he planned to spend quite a bit of time on the training field. What, though, he thought? He wasn't really fond of any kind of particular food but he knew the strengthening qualities of ramen so he decided he'd get himself a cup of that. He thus hopped down from his home balcony and landed in the middle of the Leaf's streets as he noticed how busy they were even though it was so early. He shrugged and didn't really know what to think of it as he walked along the streets and made his way in trying to find a store that were open this early. He was happy to find that Ichiraku was open still as he decided that, instead of a cup, he'd get himself some takeout.
He stepped inside the small shop and spoke with the always nice people that worked behind the counter to order a large takeout bowl of ramen. They got out a large Styrofoam bowl as they went through the processes of making the ramen as he took a seat at one of the chairs to wait. Upon them being finished they placed it all into the bowl to a thin line of the bowl they used to knowing where to stop and then, at Shoto's request, placed a plastic sheet over the entire bowl in order to preserve the heat within as much as possible. Shoto took the bowl, paying for it, as he bowed and thanked them both before leaving to walk to the village's gate. He could feel the heat of the ramen burning it's way through the Styrofoam as he couldn't help but smile at the fact that once lunch time rolled around he was going to be in for an awesome treat. He made his way through the gate with his ramen, noticing that there were guards still walking around the top of the gate, as he walked into the woods and walked the whole way to the field.
Upon making it to the training field he could still hear the crickets of the night still chirping and the fireflies still buzzing and flowing in the air. He walked over to a nearby tree to lay his Styrofoam bowl of ramen down next to and he walked over into the center of the field as he thought of what he'd do first in order to prepare himself for his upcoming training. He looked around as there were plenty of trees around that could help him out in growing a bit stronger but he would need to gather the necessary chakra in order to get everything perfect. He also felt that his strength wasn't quite where he needed to be for when it came to his taijutsu as well as his speed. He couldn't rely solely on his ninjutsu all the time, after all, as that would reduce his stamina in battle much much faster. He thus began to do some squats with his legs in order to loosen the muscles up in them as he cracked his neck and knuckles before getting onto his hands to do some push ups.
He began to crank out reps of push ups while keeping his breathing steady and slow as he pushed himself from the ground a few times in order to get his muscles loosened and tempered. He wanted to make certain that he had the strength to pull off the jutsu he wanted to learn and get it out of the way so that he'd get some training on other stuff. He didn't know what he'd put forth in terms of efforts and such yet but he wanted to learn another wood style technique today that was going to prove necessary for all situations. He thus continued to push himself further and further even through the pain he was beginning to feel as he panted from the burning sensation he was beginning to develop in his arms. Once he succeeded in accomplishing 50 push ups he pushed himself off the ground and onto his feet as he sighed in relief and though he'd take his frustrations out on the nearby training stumps so that he could develop some tougher skin.
He hopped over to the logs, his legs and arms hitting the stumps, as he tried his best to keep his acrobatics in top shape while his strength even more so. He would flip and reach out with his limbs in order to hit multiple logs as well as trying to keep his balance situated to where he would land on hit feet in order to keep moving and attacking. He thus kept his offense going as he wanted to make certain he got the most of his exercise. He kept his balance and flexibility at it's highest as he trained as hard as he could with the stumps in order to improve his strength as well helping develop tougher skin so that he could handle pain more efficiently and easily. After a few more rounds of kicking and punching at the stumps he would then move on to going into the forest and would start hitting at the trees themselves in order to create for him, in his mind, more opponents to take his attacks out on. After a while of doing so he grew tired as he felt that it was finally time for him to move on and he walked over back into the training field to continue with his objective.
Today he felt that he would finally do what he felt he should've done a long time ago and learn his first Earth style technique. He didn't know why but he felt that the best think to learn was a jutsu he had heard about where one could sink themselves into the ground and be able to move freely within the rock underneath to get to where one needed to go all while hiding safely from an enemy. He had heard it was called the Hiding like a mole technique and it was going to help in bringing about an increase in strength in terms of Shoto's jutsu knowledge. He sighed softly as he regulated the affinity of earth within his chakra into the surrounding area and he could suddenly slowly feel himself sinking into the ground. He closed his eyes as he felt himself sink a good length down into the ground before feeling his head submerging itself into the stone that surrounded his body. He looked around, his chakra allowing him to sense where exactly he was underground, as he could see above the ground.
He utilized his chakra in a way so that he could be able to move under the ground as he went to a specific part of the field and was amazed at how easily it felt to be able to connect with the earth and move about it. He decided that he'd begin to make his way out of the field and towards the Leaf as his training proved to be a success and also helped in improving his strength and stamina. That was enough to please him as he made his chakra move him through the forest that connected the streets leading in and out of the field and the Leaf. He continued to move as thoughts of what he could do with this technique began to move around within his mind as he thought of what other jutsus he could derive from the technique itself.
Upon reaching the Hidden Leaf he decided to continue staying underground while making his way to his home as he could see the guards that watched over the gate couldn't seem to sense that he was there. This relieved him as he continued his way into the Hidden Leaf village to where his house was before allowing his chakra to carry him back up to the surface and allowing him to stand on his two feet once again. He smiled a soft and small smile upon reaching his home's doorway and he unlocked it to walk into the small and quaint house that he's been living in for such a small amount of time. He didn't know if he was going to be living here much longer as he was wanting to find himself a place that could offer a bit more in regards to space and warmth. It proved to serve it's purpose, however, which allowed him to keep himself waking up and a place to eat as well. He cracked the bones in his neck as they upset him before he went into the bathroom in order to clean himself up with a shower. Afterwards he made his way back out as he picked up his jacket and put it on as he opened his door back up and walked outside to get himself a bite to eat.
