Welp clearly the blonde had mistaken Love's words to her as sarcasm but that didn't matter since she wasn't showing any negative emotions about it. Assuming that a pluck would fall under "punch" the chuunin would slide back a few inches when the clone swatted her arm away. Good to see that this genin wasn't completely useless, however, Love simply looked at the boy with a blank stare and long blinks after hearing his words. An act of defiance against the village? Yea right, who does this kid think he is? There were other things that she wanted to say such as: "One meeting doesn't make people friends." Yet for the sake of getting the mission started, she refrained replying with a "pfff" before actual words. "I not only outrank you, I outage you little boy." Jeez, she thought she took her job seriously, this kid was the blindest of meat shields. Once Rei said her goodbye the two women would leave, Love twiddling her fingers with a smize as they walked by.

Higuto nodded to Rei as he smiled upon her departure. He was pleased to be praised by a Jounin, even if small, as he then was met by Love's words. He chuckled at her response, keeping any remarks he had private within his mind, as he nevertheless gave her a kind bow as well.

"I hope you, also, have a safe journey Ai-sama. Come back unharmed and maybe we can actually have proper introductions. Goodbye."

The clone would then disappear in a puff of smoke as the original gave them one final wave from atop the gate as he watched them off.
