As she reappeared, the hozuki would strike again alarmingly fast. As his arm winded backwards to toss the kana she'd flicker to safety, narrowly avoiding the attack before it happened charging straight forward into the water, she could feel herself growing weak from exhaustion.
"You're Stronger than you look, pasty" She'd say as she stood in the water, while her boots became damp.
Komori would be standing 5 meters away, as he hadn't clarified where exactly he had flickered. She'd pant as she stepped above the water and used surface walking, the chakra beneath her feet keeping her above the surface of the water. "My fight ends here...." She'd say as she winced, and took another breath. "One way or another"
4 seals from her left hand would activate the wave of inspiration, and a 100 power 100 speed wall of electricity would erupt forward, it was her final attack and all she could muster with the amount of energy she had left.
-50 AP for curse mark
-1 AP for surface walking
-40 for wave of inspiration
-10 for body flicker
13 AP remaining

“...pasty?” Of everything about his own person that invites insults, whether it be his sarcasm, his lower strength than others, pasty was certainly not something that he had heard before. His looks are perfect so it caught him off guard. However, his experienced fighter’s hearing alerted him to her heavier breathing. As she prepared for the end, Komori signed two separate sets of handseals at the same time. With his left hand, he matched her seals as well, his own Wave of Inspiration technique activating at 100 power and 100 speed. The waves of lightning and water would clash, meeting an equal force before collapsing to the ground.
Meanwhile, Komori’s other hand signed off six seals, one finishing off as the two waves of inspiration clashed. Behind Komori, a dragon made entirely of water would rise from the surface of the lake of his own creation, the rain itself causing ripples along its liquid body. The dragon would reach 85 meters into the sky before having its long neck look towards the ground.
“You put up a good fight and made me stay on my toes. That current through my lake here was pretty smart, I’ll give you that.” He gave her a lighthearted smile. “I’m glad I didn’t throw for you.”
The dragon came crashing down from the air at a speed of 100 and would hit the girl at a reduced power, whatever would knock her tired person to the ground while still hitting with pressure. Death was an option in the Kumogakure Black Games, but that did not mean he had to do so. Assuming her tired self, who was surely out of defensive jutsu by now, did not dodge, Komori would stand victorious with his arms crossed across his chest, the dragon’s body colliding with her until it became a part of the puddle it had originated from. The rain would then begin to let up as he walked over to his opponent, who would most likely be on the ground in one way or another, and offer her his hand with a smile. “I don’t intend on killing you, Tamaru. You can accept my help up or you can stay and wait for any medics.”

The black markings on her face would begin to subside, and she'd be flung backwards by komori's attack, landing on her back in the water and in immeasurable pain. She was a medical ninja and could tell several of her ribs had been broken just looking at them. "fucking christ" she'd mutter as she accepted Komori's hand.
Shockwaves of pain were sent through her nervous system, but it could hardly be seen. She'd endured worse in the lord mortitians anbu black ops. And she had the scars and burns to prove it. "You fight well" She'd say as she shook the hand that had defeated her, before continuing to speak.
She'd wave to the crowd before beginning to walk towards the exit, "You know, you'd make a pretty good anbu agent...." She'd say with her back turned to him, while disappearing into the stadiums tunnels.

“And the winner is… KOMORI HOZUKIIIII” The crowd erupted into a cacophony of cheering as Komori stood straight, looking out towards the crowd, giving a big smile. “Due to the circumstances of this unusual fight, this means that Yutakana Shiri will be awarded the contested prize…” Komori paused as he turned around towards where the announcer was. This wasn’t just settling a dispute then… He looked up as a young girl with blonde hair was brought forward, flanked by guards. She was looking at the ground. “Ms. Shiri will now take custody over the young girl, as determined in the agreed upon contract for this match, signed by both parties.” Taken aback, Komori proceeded to leave the arena without bathing in the praise of his fans, seething with anger.
Komori burst into the spectator room that his client resided in. She did not even look up at him, as if she expected it. “It wasn’t just about honor. I’m sorry I lied to you.” Komori clenched his fists as he looked at her, “So this is what this was really about? A little girl? I won you a girl’s life?” His knuckles turned white. “You wanted a new servant girl, is that it?” She stood up and got in his face, snapping back at him, “That girl was abused by the man who hired the mercenary you just beat. He berated her and treated her like human trash.” She paused for a moment to let her words sink in. “You saved her.” Komori’s anger melted, the woman’s words bearing into his soul. He unclenched his white knuckled hands and looked down silently. He lifted his head to look into her shimmering eyes before speaking in a low voice, “I’m sorry.”
Yutakana opened her mouth to say something, but the woman’s gaze softened as she looked down the hallway Komori had come from. Following her eyes, Komori turned to notice the short blonde girl being escorted by the same two guards. She looked frightened, unsure of her surroundings. Komori casually turned back around with a smile, greeting the approaching girl. “Hey, there? What’s your name?”

“Ko-Komorebi,” she replied timidly. The jounin smiled and let out a laugh. “I like your name, Komorebi. My name’s Komori, actually.” He grinned. “Seems we have pretty similar names, huh?” He stood straight, looking her over with his hand holding up his own chin. But there was something different about him. His gaze did not make her feel scared or uncomfortable. He just looked at her in a judgment free way. “Would it be okay if I called you Kay? Too many people know my name, I’m afraid, otherwise I’d change my name for you.” Another laugh came from the apparently happy man. She just watched him fight somebody for her own freedom and he seemed… nice. Genuinely nice. Someone she wanted to be like. Komorebi tried to hide a smile, to which she was unable to do. “That… That sounds nice, actually.” Kay looked up at him with her big blue eyes before looking at the woman behind him. “Thank you, ma’am.” She bowed in reverence. “I… I wasn’t happy there. You saved me.” The corner of Yutakana’s mouth turned upwards into a faint smirk. “Of course, dear. I couldn’t have that man treating you that way. You deserve better.” She turned around and called over her shoulder, “Come along, darling, we’ve got to get you home.” Kay hesitated, which the jounin noticed. “Everything okay, Kay?” he gave a small chuckle to himself for his own wordplay. “Ms. Shiri… Would it… would it be okay if I stayed here? In the village?” She averted her gaze from the Hozuki, looking off to the side.

Yutakana turned around with a surprised look on her face. It appeared she was capable of being taken off guard. Komori found this funny but chose to keep it to himself. “Is that really what you want, hun?” The black haired man looked towards the blonde girl, waiting for her reaction. “Yeah,” she turned towards the woman, filled with a newfound sense of determination. “I want to become a shinobi, too. I want to be able to get strong, like…” She looked at Komori before she had to turn back to Yutakana. “Like Komori.” A faint smile appeared on her face as the Hozuki could not help himself but grin. He turned towards Yutakana, as he was closer to her and the two shared a look. His was curious and hers was fierce. Komori leaned over and whispered to her, “I can keep an eye on her.” He felt out for Kay’s chakra. “She’s got enough potential to make a good shinobi. Kay should be able to follow her dreams. And I’ll make sure she stays safe.” He looked back to her as Yutakana responded, her breath warm in his ear, “If she gets hurt… I’m holding you responsible. I will hunt you down to the ends of the earth and make sure you suffer.” Her voice was stern yet frail. She had really gotten attached to the girl, it seemed. Komori turned back to look her in the eyes, her small glasses held to the bridge of her nose. “That’s a risk I’m willing to take.”

Kay watched the two of them talking from a distance, nervous as to what they were talking about. When they finally broke, it seemed that Yutakana stared deep into Komori’s eyes before mouthing something. It looked like she had said thank you, but the young girl had no way of knowing for sure. Yutakana took a moment to speak, making sure her voice was steady, “If that’s what you want… then sure. You can stay here.” She looked at Komori again with a small smile. “There’s some good people here.” The woman came over and leaned over to hug the young girl. “Be careful.” She grabbed her shoulders and looked her in the eyes. “Come to me if you ever need anything, okay?” Komori walked over, signing something and withdrawing a small black book. “Here,” was all he said, handing the woman a pencil. She looked up at him before taking the book and scribbling down her address in the neatest handwriting either party had ever seen. She tore the page out and handed it to Kay. Meanwhile, Komori used the graphite to trace the indents she had made, making sure he had it as well, although Yutakana had no way of knowing this as her attention was shifted towards Komorebi. Sly dog. Komorebi nodded confidently. Kay had a purpose now. She did not want to become the greatest or the strongest in the world. She just wanted to be a good person. Yutakana stood up, saying her last goodbyes before shooting the jounin another look. He simply held up two fingers to his head in a salute. As she turned and exited the room, he finished the salute and dropped his arms. “If you really are stickin' around, there’s an academy in town we should check out. Come on, I can show it to you.” He extended his hand out towards her which she took with eagerness. “Whoa, careful there, Kay. With a grip like that, I’ll bet you can even beat me in a sword fight.” She let out a small laugh at his comment, causing him to laugh as well. He then proceeded to lead her out of the arena, showing her the way to a new life.
