Kiro slowly opened his eyes without being able to see anything in specific, aside from a very familiar face that glanced upon him while smiling. ”Good morning, Kiro,” was the only thing that the golden-haired male said before stepping up and exiting the room. The boy was confused and didn’t know what he was doing in this unknown room, but decided to let it slide for now until he completely woke up and exited the room. He gently yawned and rose to his feet, clearing his eyes with both of his palms to clear them from anything that didn’t allow him to take a clear shot of the face of the man. The blue-haired Uchiha rose to his feet and stretched his arms back for a single moment, looking down to his clothing. He was still wearing the outfit that resembled his sister, one that he enjoyed wearing and one that would help him mix with shadows, and nodded his head once, proceeding to head outside of the room and observe a golden-haired male with a ponytail. His mind suddenly started to hurt him and fell to the ground, unable to figure out what was going on as the other man approached him with a worried look and started to shout his name out loud. He had fallen unconscious and began to remember what happened the day before where his friend, Kaito, told him that they would be living together either in his house or in the child’s. It seemed like the Chûnin had decided to take him to his own house when he slept between his arms the day before and let him rest beside him, or at least it was the only thing that made the most sense in a scenario like this. Perhaps the higher-up and his childhood friend thought that it would be better to keep him away from his house because he didn’t want him to remember everything that happened to him back there because they surely weren’t memories that someone would want to remember at such a young age. He would make sure to let the boy go to his house when he was older and strong-minded enough to take in everything that happened to him, and to let him recover for now.

Kaito wasn’t sure if the boy managed to awaken his Sharingan yet and to train it, which made him wonder if he should or should not test him to figure out an answer. The child suddenly recovered his senses and found himself on top of the same bed as before, with his golden-haired friend asking for help all around the Uchiha district from Medical ninjas and other apprentices to come and help the boy. Everyone walked inside of the room and proceeded to lay their hands on his minds to heal him from whatever was going on, knowing where the pain was coming from because of the information that the older man gave them previously before they entered. His head started to loose up and the pain was becoming less and less noticeable to the child, who shook his head and stepped out of the bed, telling the Shinobi to remove their arms. He was thankful to them for helping him overcome the pain, but he wasn’t going to make them waste their chakra on a faint pain that he received here and then when he tried to remember what happened earlier. It was something that he never told anyone and never planned to because it was something that he thought would go as time passed by. ”Thank you for healing me, everyone. However, I think you should go back to the Hospital and heal those who actually require assistance. Please, don’t waste your time here.” Everyone nodded their head and turned around to face the exit, walking down the stairs and opening the door that led to the outside of the house and the Uchiha district. He turned his head to face Kaito and bowed his head in due respect, raising his head and charging forward to hug the adult.

”I’m sorry for making you worry, Kaito!” he exclaimed in a saddened tone of voice, observing his childhood friend beginning to pet his azure hair and waving his fingers through it. ”Don’t sweat it, Kiro. It’s what friends do.” Hearing what his friend had to say about him was enough to make him release droplets of tears that rained down his cheeks to the ground, and started to pool all over the room. The older man continued to pet him and eventually started to hug him in a friendly and gentle manner while showing a happy smile on his face. He always wanted to have a younger brother, so acting around the child like this was always something he looked forward to and wanted to do but never spoke about because he thought it would seem creepy to his friend. Moments later, Kiro wiped off his tears and started to shift his gaze from the ground to his friend, asking him about the subject they were going to train today because it was obvious that the adult had something planned for him. The golden-haired male rose a finger to his chin and tapped it, trying to remember what he had previously thought about, and lowered his arm with a dumbfounded look. ”I forgot,” was the only sentence he spoke before the two started laughing together, sighing in disbelief right after. It was almost like if the two acted synchronized and that was something that not everyone could achieve with relative ease. The older man proceeded to explain what their training session of that day was going to be, stating that they would first go through a mission of finding clues about where a thief has gotten, that thief obviously being a higher-up that wanted to help Kaito in this session of experience, and to stop him from continuing his evil acts. The second test would be escaping from a gigantic snake that would start following them by jumping from tree to tree and using ninja weaponry to help them in their task. The final task of theirs was going to be learning how to sense chakra signatures of others because it would be useful when he had to track others or when he was fighting against someone who enjoyed attacking others from behind, giving him advantage in battle.

A grin soared through the younger Shinobi’s face, who nodded and asked his friend to lead the way.

The two of them charged outside down the stairs and turned to face the exit of their house, rushing outside of it. The older man was obviously way faster than him but he was actually capable of following after him with little to no issues even though it felt like an actual challenge and that his opponent wasn’t even trying hard enough to win. Kaito swiftly jumped up a wall while using the Suimen technique to hold themselves against the rocky structure and reached the top of it while acting like it was no big of a deal to him, and requested the younger ninja to perform the same actions as him to get to the top of it, too. Kiro shaked his head and observed the wall cautiously, trying to find other ways of getting to the top of it efficiently and without falling to the ground. An idea came to mind and decided to use the Body Flicker technique that the higher-ups used to use in the battlefield during war and other type of scenarios to catch up to their opponents with ease. He performed a single hand seal and looked up to his friend, revealing a happy smile on his face. He started to gather energy on his feet and charged his way up the wall while using the suimen technique to stay on top of it. The older man clapped his hands together and grinned in excitement to see how a recently graduated Genin had learned such an advanced technique and learned how to use it.

The golden-haired man with a ponytail looked forward alongside his friend and jumped to one of the branches of a tree, proceeding to jump from tree to tree until they reached the location where their investigation would finally begin. It was a forest full of gigantic trees and leaves in the floor, that was made of earth that was very resistant to footsteps but that left very visible ones. Kaito proceeded to explain their mission here and started to look to the ground, finding the first hint of what happened in that location. He asked the boy to approach him and to look at what he had found; it was a broken leaf that was stepped on in the middle of it and left foot marks on it. They seemed to be accidental because of hurry, indicating that he was being chased after while he was running away with an item or something valuable. The child took notes of what his friend had found and hid his small notebook once again, starting to look for something that would help them find more about what happened to the thief. It didn't take him long to find small marks of blood on the wood of a tree, asking the Chûnin to approach him and look at it. ”So, he was attacked with a very lethal weapon and rested his injured limb here for a moment before hurriedly rushing away? Interesting. Good job, Kiro. Let’s head more into the village and see if we can find anything more,” said his childhood friend while petting his head and moving forward while hoping for the boy to follow him. The Uchiha was obviously happy and started to blush because his friend thought he was actually a very perceptive and potentially good scout, but decided not to get distracted in the middle of the mission!

Kiro followed after his friend and noticed that there were multiple seaweeds hanging around the branches of a tree that had the same blood marks like the previously found tree. The child proceeded to approach it and to examine what happened to them, noticing that there was a diagonal cut on them. He rubbed his chin and started to think of the possibilities of what could’ve happened right after what happened to him. The Chûnin approached him from behind and cleared his throat, pointing a single finger to the weeds. ”He cut these when he was getting chased by someone. To recapitulate everything, the thief was hit by a sharp ninja weapon and started to bleed out, resting his injured light, most likely arm, against a tree and left blood marks on it. He charged forward in the attempt of escaping from the shinobi once more and found himself stuck because he couldn’t go through the seaweeds and decided to cut through them and go wherever this path leads,” he explained to the child and paused for a moment, changing his look from a smile to a serious look on his face. ”In other terms, whoever the thief is, we’re going to face him now,” he finished his sentence, asking the boy if he was ready to check behind the seaweeds and fight against whatever was there if needed. The Uchiha nodded his head and closed his eyes with a smile on his face, asking his childhood friend to go first and telling him that he was going to go inside right after him, agreeing that he would back him up if he required assistance. What he didn’t know was that Kaito had prepared all of this and that they weren’t going to fight anyone after proceeding to go through the green plants, making him quite disappointed but happy that he wouldn’t be running the risk of getting injured when fighting against a thief or anything of that matter. His eyes scanned the are behind the plants and blinked twice in disbelief while being unable to understand what was going on. There were multiple Shinobi holding a flag that read Congratulations! on it, proudly smiling towards him.

He was able to recognize every single one of them because they were the Medical Shinobi and Kunoichi that Kaito asked to come when his head started to hurt him and that proceeded to heal him in the hopes of loosening the pain which he stopped even noticing thanks to their help. Two of the crowd of people were the female he met previously and her father who was the one that taught him to Great Fireball technique which was the Jutsu passed on from generation to generation throughout multiple years of training in the attempt of mastering it. He was happy to see that everyone had came here to help him in his quest of becoming a better Ninja and it was something he was grateful to them. The boy approched thr group of people and bowed his head to them in all due respect, proceeding to raise his head and shake everyone’s hand. Kaito was observing him from a distance and was happy to see act like that towards others. The golden-haired shinobi waited for him to end his actions and proceeded to approach him with a gentle smile on his face, explaining to him what the next test would be. They were going to run away from a giant snake to lead her away from the village and then fight after her by using Jutsu and weapons. Kiro nodded his head once to the older man, deciding that they should rest a little before continuing their training session, and sat down next to a tree while attempting to recover a little from this inspection session. Kaito seemed to agree with him and followed behind the child to sit next to him and to rest his back against the tree. He slowly rose his head, observing multiple leaves fall from above to them. The wind was rushing fast past them, indicating that a storm was heading their way. When was it going to happen was the question he didn’t have an answer to. The two continued to speak to each other until it was about time to start the next phase of their mission; escaping and defeating the Snake Queen with all of their might!

Kiro listened to the explanations that the older man provided him and nodded his head once, proceeding to follow him to the area where the training would take place. He was given a short sword that he referred to as a Tantô and told him to use it to cut through seaweeds, leaves and other types of distractions that they would find in their path until they found a wide area where they could fight without getting stopped by distractions like when they would be attracting the attention of the Snake Queen. They were fighting against a real enemy now and it was not going to be a Jounin using the transformation technique or anything of that matter, so they wouldn’t have to worry about harming anyone. He thought that it was a good idea and that he did a good job thinking about such an idea, telling his childhood friend to lead the way to where their thread would be. Kaito finally revealed the truth about his plan and explained to him that they would have to enter a very dark cave and wake her up to follow them. The child sighed in disbelief but nodded his head once, hoping that she wouldn’t block their exit outside from the cave. The two of them embarked on a very short journey to the Snake Cave that was governed by multiple types of snakes and the Snake Queen who lead every single one of them and gave them orders that one could not say no to. It was going to be a challenge both escaping from her cave while attracting her and rushing away from the cave while jumping from tree to tree but it was not something that the two of them couldn’t do together, for sure! ”Please, stay behind me, Kiro,” he said to the younger boy as they traveled in the direction of the cave, promising to the older man that he would surely do so. ”Now, let’s go! exclaimed the high-ranked Shinobi while charging forward to their objective at an impressive pace and this one was one he was going to struggle keeping up with. Though he could always keep his eyes on the male and follow him, even if it was at a slower pace.

The two had finally arrived to the entrance of the gigantic rocky dungeon and cautiously entered, saying nothing to each other because they knew what they were going to do. The first thing they saw were multiple snakes that seemed to be sleeping while others were patrolling the are, as if they had developed like humans when they let someone guard while the others slept and exchanged roles. He flashed a gentle smile on his face and proceeded to gather energy on his feet, walking up the walls and to the roof while observing his friend charge forward and go in front of him to keep the promise that they had made previously. Kiro nodded his head once to his friend and kept an eye on the snakes just in case if they managed to hear faint movements coming from them or anything of that matter which was obviously something the two didn’t want to see happening to them because it would he make their task of attracting the Snake Queen’s attention without defeating the weaker snakes first. They wanted to complete their tasks first before it was too dark and they didn’t want to waste a lot of energy trying to defeat them because, when they would finally get to their leader, they would be extremely drained and too weak to even do anything. He released a sigh of disbelief and glanced to his friend who seemed to be focused on their task but worried for what could happen if they did something wrong; he could only hope that his skill was efficient enough to help them on their mission. They continued walking and walking on the roof of the cave until they finally found ”There she is, Kiro. Keep your guard up, and stay behind me at all times,” he said in a serious tone of voice and slipped him right arm into his back pouch, grabbing multiple shuriken and tossing them in the direction of the snake, damaging it. The Snake Queen starting to scream in anger and pain, thankfully not attracting the attention of the weaker snakes and looked up to the roof, noticing that they were hiding and waiting for the best moment to attack once more, or at least from her perspective. The two nodded to each other and rushed back to the entrance of the dungeon in hurry and fear, noticing that the snake was attempting to attack them but they were hiding in the top and it couldn’t fly to get up to them. The two swiftly jumped to the tree that they used to enter the dungeon and began to jump from one of its branches to one of another tree’s, continuing like that while the snake attempted to attack them with quick movements. The two were able to keep her behind using the swords they were given and left the area without getting hit once. They managed to heavily damage to the point half of her body was already cut down but her impressive vitality let her survive for the time being and continued to attack them while they evaded her attacks and countered them with their short blades.

Kiro charged forward in the direction of the snake and slashed it once in the head, jumping on top of it and sliding down the rest of her remaining body to flip forward and observe his teammate finish her off. Kaito performed a single hand seal and thrust his Tantô forward, stabbing their opponent in the throat and defeated her. The two released a sigh of relief and grinned, fist bumping each other, deciding that it was about time to return to the forest that they decided to go to previously to complete their final goal that was going to be learning how to infuse his weapons and other ninja supplies with chakra to increase their efficiency in battle and in other aspects. His childhood friend knew that the infusing weapons with the user’s own chakra was something that many Shinobi knew how to use and that it was going to be something that the child would learn sooner or later but it would be better to learn how to use this ability as soon as possible to he him in the next Chûnin exams knowing that they were going to be very hard to pass through with ease. The blue-haired child knew that and he was not going to give up either, reaching the forest with relative ease. ”So, first things first, you need to infuse your chakra in your weapon until you make it get covered by a blue hue,” The Chunin proceeded to explain how infusing chakra in weapons worked and started to make real demonstrations to him on trees and other real targets. After that, he continued his explanations by infusing an explosive tag attached to a kunai and launched it forward to activate and make it explode with enough force to blow multiple people away or to destroy objects. He glanced to the younger boy and told him to step forward and attempt to use the technique, stating that it would most likely take him multiple attempts to achieve perfection on using it.

The boy stepped forward and read the notes that he took about the technique required, memorizing what he had to do to perform it with accuracy. He nodded his head once and picked up a kunai from his pocket, closing his eyes and started to infuse his weapon with chakra that didn’t take long to cover his weapon slightly. He nodded his head once and noticed that his weapon was receiving some of his chakra already but that it wasn’t enough to make up in battle. The Uchiha grit his teeth and closed his eyes once more while beginning to focus on sending chakra to his ninja supply to make it brightly shine in a blue hue that would signal that he was getting better at the use of the technique and that it would not take him much longer to learn how to perfectly use it. Kiro took a short breath and opened his eyes just to see that the dark kunai had been covered by a blue hue that signaled mastery upon it. The two Shinobi looked at each other for a long minute and charged forward to hug each other in happiness. Not only it took him just two tries to learn it, but he made it relatively easy to learn. Kaito could remember himself learning it and that it took him a full week trying to perfection the use of it with the help of both his dead mother and father, so he felt quite proud of his friend learning it in such a short period of time and somewhat jealousy. He bowed his head respectfully in the direction of the golden-haired Chûnin and asked him to take him back home once more like last time because he felt like he could collapse in any moment. Their journey had ended, but the blue-haired child could confirm that more was yet to come and in more quantity because of the ongoing events that had been taking place in Konohagakure no Sato and the village that defeated them and declared control over them. He was not sure about what the Hokage was going to do, however, and decided to let it slide for now until news from the higher-ups were released for everyone to know.
