Training Never Stops Empty Training Never Stops

Mon Sep 17, 2018 1:30 pm
Zyxis stood in the training grounds, thinking about what jutsu to learn next. He knew that he wanted to learn something at the higher ranks. As he flexed his muscles, he felt his inner strength and knew that his body would be ready to learn something more advanced. He had lots of jutsu that he wanted to learn, but the first was more of a killing move. There wasn't really any need for it now, but when the time came, he had to be prepared. The name of the Taijutsu was Nukite, The Spear Hand. Basically, you refine your chakra throughout your body and let some leak out. It consolidates around your fingers and sharpens the chakra. There is also the fact that you use chakra to speed up and strengthen your arm. It was like having a weapon, but at the same time not. That would allow him to save money since he wouldn't have to buy a katana, and let him stick to something he was good at, which is Taijutsu.

He was already able to manipulate his chakra to an okay extent. All he had to do was refine it and add it into the move. So, technically, the Taijutsu was just a mighty, sharp poke. It was deadly, cause if it hit you in the throat or the temple, then you'd be dead almost instantly. The more fingers you use, the more deadly it becomes. It was definitely like a spear. It was a killing move, not to be applied on allies, and to only be done against foes. He closed his eyes as he pulled from the energy in his abdomen. It seemed to awaken, reacting to the calling of it and flowing throughout his body. Zyxis wasn't used to bringing chakra without his body without it dissipating almost immediately. His eyebrows narrowed in frustration as he attempts were only flukes.

After the 20th try, his anger seemed to lead to some sort of concentration. The chakra around his hand seemed to hum. He smiled at the sight, but that instantly made it collapse and disappear. Zyxis looked on broken, what was he doing wrong? He was manipulating his chakra and focusing on it becoming a well developed Taijutsu technique. After 30th try, he seemed to understand that it was also his mindset that affected jutsu. He was thinking of it as a powerful technique that would help him become even stronger when he used it. When he got upset, then it seemed to solidify and begin to work. For a jutsu needed to kill, you need a mindset to kill.

He frowned. He never tried to increase or manipulate his killing intent. He barely had any since he was a calmer guy. The only time that he really manifested killing intent was when he got a little bit angry at Hoshi, and barely any at that. He clenched his fist in determination. Zyxis knew that as a ninja, he needed to be ready to hurt and kill. He wouldn't be able to get through this career if he didn't focus on what had to be done. The facts. Chakra manipulated around his arm, a little more distraught than last time. He took a deep breath, and his killing intent seemed to leak from out of his skin and poison the air around him. It was like the complete opposite of the Running Zone. The Running Zone allowed him to calm down and concentrate, focusing on one thing and gliding a smooth path to get there. This newfound Killing Zone seemed to make his lightning foundation erratic and angry. If you breathed in the eye of the storm, you were going to get shocked.

He looked down at his arm and realized that lightning began to dance across it. It stung like a thousand bees. He winced and pulled it back. The element left marks on his arm as if he were cut by thin blades. He frowned, he had never lost control of his electricity like that. He took a deep breath and seemed to sink into his Running Zone and Killing Zone at the same time. If he were able to mix the two, then he would be able to concentrate on his killing intent at the same time. After a few mishaps and stray bolts, he was able to sharpen his chakra.

He took a deep breath and let go of everything, all previous information fleeting his head and it was just him and the technique. He was okay with this. He didn't want to think about either one of his zones, he just wanted to live in the moment of this technique. It was sharp, precise, and could be used to kill. And he was okay with it and expected it to hurt. He rushed at the wooden dummy, slamming his finger into where the brain would be. It pierced the wood but didn't go all the way in. It wouldn't kill, it needed to be stronger. He pushed more chakra into the technique, but not enough to where the concentration of it would be disrupted.

He rushed forward and moved his arm forward quick. It wasn't a slash or a cleave, but it was simple. His attack wasn't a stab, but a piercing, straight ahead and concentrated. He penetrated straight through the skull of the wooden dummy. It was sharper than ever, and he felt confident enough that it would kill someone if he tried. He took a deep breath and relaxed, all impure thoughts leaving his head. The killing intent had such a strange feeling to it, he didn't necessarily like it, but he could get used to it.

He guessed that's what made him human. If he enjoyed the feeling of wanted to murder then, he wouldn't know what he would do. He looked around, looking to see if anyone was there. Hopefully, he would get a training partner soon, it always seemed to happen when he headed to the training grounds.

Training Never Stops Empty Re: Training Never Stops

The wooden training dummies were terrible fighting partners, they had no defense or reflexes and were completely unable to dodge. Ikigai never used them, he preferred a living sparring partner. So naturally, he wasn't at the training ground, but a few dozen meters down the way by a running stream. The sound of water crashing against land was soothing to the boy that was more shark than man. He never felt more at home than when he was in the presence of water, and after a day of sparring at Hakai's academy he needed that.

With every intention of being alone he'd step out onto the water, not bothering to use the surface walking technique. The water was shallow, and he was no stranger to it, so he had no reason to avoid it. Every step he took would create a ripple until he was center stream, where he'd continue to practice the only form of ninjutsu he had ever bothered to learn.

The hidden mist technique.

It was a simple enough technique that only required one seal. His two blue hands would clasp together to form that of the tiger, before his chakra would reach into the river and give rise to a thick curtain of mist. Unaware that people were in the area, he'd allow the mist to expand outwards to its maximum diameter, trickling into Zyxis' training ground.

A mist seemed to trespass the place where he resided. He frowned. Sure, it was usually a dreary day in Kumogakure, but wasn't this a bit too much? It seemed to have a distinct point from which it originated. He began to head in that direction, hoping to stop whatever was causing this disruption. He jumped through a few trees to a training ground not that far away from his own. There was a boy who stood in the middle of it, fog rolling out of his mouth. The fact that he was in the training ground and that he was using a jutsu made it clear to Zyxis that he was a ninja.

Although, he wondered, what kind of ninja looked like a fish. He was pretty sure that those were scales. What was that clan called again? The Hoshigaki Clan? He didn't seem to be that busy, maybe he could make a friend out of him? He jumped down onto the grass and walked towards the shinobi.

He waved, although he probably couldn't see him, and smiled. "Hey there!"

It seemed his mist wasn't as powerful as he thought, if somebody could find him so easily.

His blue and white hair shifted as he turned his head to locate the voice. It belonged to a small kid, with white hair and red eyes. A strange look, but who was he to judge. Ikigai was practically a walking fish after all. Confused as to why the kid thought someone summoning a giant wall of mist wanted to engage in casual conversation he'd haphazardly respond.

"Uh... Hi?"

Excellent conversational skills

"Hey there," Zyxis said as he walked up towards him. He held his hand out, silently asking for a handshake. "My name is Zyxis. What is yours? I had come here today to train, and I couldn't help but notice the mist that you were creating. I was wondering if you'd want to hang out. I'm not exactly in the mood for training now that I think about it."

If Ikigai agreed, he would suggest things to do. "We should go grab something to eat, though. I'm hungry." Zyxis would start walking towards a nearby restaurant. "So, how long have you been Genin for? I just recently got promoted from an Academy Student." He scratched his chin as he thought, "Is it hard being a Genin?"

Zyxis waved him off. The boy seemed tired. He went home and slept.
