Hated clans (Zyxis)

Blood. Why was that the first thing on Hato's mind? She woke up in a cold sweat in between her sheets for that though alone. Yet it wasn't the thought of fear like some might think when they think blood. It was rather something more odd. Gluttony. She hadn't craved this for awhile now. 

The first time she craved it was also the day she found out she was from this unique clan that feasted on blood. It was a powerful clan that was feared and killed off mostly. Apparently her cousin was one as well but she never really showed. Fear lead to hatred and hatred can lead to action. Brave people will always oppose the tyrannical. Hato knew this now, it was a harsh lesson her ancestors faced. Yet she didn't show any vengeance. Rather, she felt grateful that she didn't have to face it for herself. 

Hato looked into her bathroom mirror. She saw a half sleepy face just starting back at her. The blonde touched her face and pulled her face back a bit. That's when she noticed the claws that her clan was known for where starting to sharpen more. She smiled a toothy grin at herself and looked closely at her canines. As she feared. They were also starting to sharpen.

The hunger was becoming a bit more unbearable, she needed blood. Slipped on some black heeled boots, black short-shorts with black lased leggings, black tank top and a black leather jacket. Her black outfit would come in handy because when she went outside, it was night. Perfect for Hato and her night senses. 

Her hunger turned for attention, and she pleaded. Hato needed a vantage point. So in swift jumps on top of buildings, she reached the tallest building and looked down onto the village. Just in case, she wore her village band around her arm and a bandanna around her mouth to conceal any straight forward features. She wasn't about let people find out she was of a vampire clan that liked feasting on blood. It was still sloppy though, her hunger thoughts were to strong to concentrate on things like true concealed identity. 

Please just find an animal of some kind, She pleaded to herself. Hato wouldn't be able to defend herself in justice if she was seen attacking a civilian. However, if things got desperate, she'd need to use anything.

Zyxis had just finished his late night run. He hadn't trained today, he was still dealing with the effects of unlocking his Sharingan. He didn't dare use it in public, afraid of what would happen. He didn't want to use it in general, really. He told his parents that he had unlocked it. They were understanding, but a little anxious. He assured them that it would be fine, and there was nothing to worry about, but he obviously didn't know for sure. So there he was, with power, but refusing to use it. He'd only activate it when the time came. 

He decided to eat dinner outside tonight. He felt as if he needed more fresh air recently, a lot of things had been hitting him. The first mission, unlocking Sharingan, not being able to save a woman and killing her, different stuff like that. He knew that becoming a shinobi would be hard, but right now he just wanted to chill.  He wasn't super close to the village, but near enough to where anyone could see him if he wanted them too. He didn't mind as of now, he sat there eating his lasagna thinking about things.

Was it wrong for him to show so little emotion? It was nice to be open with Natsume. She was like a little sister to him. There were times to be professional, and times to not. Maybe he should start being more friendly. He was a nice person, just a quiet and reserved one.  He sighed and dug his fork into the pasta, eating it while it was still warm.

Something caught the eye of Hato. A boy with white as snow hair and red eyes. Very unusual looking child however Hato's mind was on the fact what his boy had blood pumping through his veins. Damn it kid, did you have to appear just now. Her blood lust was strong but she was able to hold it back for awhile. If she attacked a boy, it would truly be a death sentence by the village. Hato was strong but she couldn't take down an entire village worth of people. 

Luckily enough, just after spotting the boy, she spotted a stray dog across the street in an alley looking though some trash. It was better than a human child, so she dove for it. The building was about 3 stories high, so she had to jump across the street as descended. Her speed was too much for the unsuspecting canine and before it could do anything to the vampire, she bit his neck to draw blood. This caused the dog to whimper. She wouldn't kill the stray however, she didn't need that much blood.

After filling her blood lust, Hato let the canine go. Now being freed from her capture, the dog ran away still whimpering. Hato leaned against alley wall, emotionally exhausted. It took a lot of willpower to keep her from attacking the child. Wait, when did Hato start caring out others? Then she remember that it was so her wouldn't get in trouble with the village. Phew, she almost thought she was going soft on herself.

Killing intent saturated the air. Zyxis stood up and stretched, seemingly oblivious to the bloodlust. Most animals seemed to radiate such hate, but this seemed too similar to his own rage. The want, the need to kill. He began to scan the area around him, slowly tracing the hilt of his kunai with his finger.

His eyes flickered to the right as something moved. He instantly took off after it, not sure if a wild beast had entered the village's gates. How would they have even survived the horrific zombie land? Zyxis decreased the speed at which he was moving as he entered the town. Each footstep on the dirt road seemed to echo in his ears. If it was a demon of some sorts, he knew he had to be careful.

A whimpering sound was heard in the general direction he was going. He grasped onto his kunai tighter and slowly moved. He startled a bit as a dog came around the corner with a small cry, blood staining his fur. Zyxis took a deep breath and rushed forward, basically sliding as he came to a stop, ready for anything.

When he said he was ready for anything, he hadn't expected to see a beautiful woman standing there. She had gorgeous blonde hair and crystal-like eyes. He blushed, trying not to look perversely at her. 

He cleared his throat, his voice coming out quietly, but loud enough for her to hear, "Hi. You okay?"

The need of blood vanquished for the time being, Hato tore off her bandanna that she wore to conceal her identity. She would soon find this to be a mistake to the fabric off before first heading home. The unidentified child made himself. He asked if she, a total stranger, was okay hiding behind a tightly gripped kunai. The sound a fear came when he said his words, the boy must of seen the dog injured. Hato quickly tied the bandanna behind her head so it would sit above her nose, but by now it was probably too late. "I'm alright." She informed the young and confused teen in a kind and gentle voice that she used when talking to people younger than herself. She took a deep sigh and then asked, "How much did you see?" Hato begged that the kid didn't see too much, hopefully just the dog. 

What was going to be her excuse for the dog bleeding? Maybe something like how she saw the dog in caught on something and she freed it with her kunai, accidentally cutting it in the mean time. It was all just guess on what he was going to ask and depending on that she would need to take care of it. Like before, she couldn't just kill the child, it would be much harder to get away with that. Maybe she could just scare him? No that could cause village wide panic of a vampire on the loose in the village.

The first thing that Zyxis noted was that this lady was attractive. He first needed to realize that so he didn't focus on it when he paid attention to everything else. She seemed to be wanting to hide something. He would know, he didn't want anyone to find out his secrets either. Except for maybe his teammates, but even then he was skeptical. 

She was mistaken, there was no fear in his voice. He held the kunai out defensively. He didn't know who she was or where she came from, but he didn't like the vibes he was getting from her. At least he was aware that she was all right. When she asked how much he saw, that instantly set off red flags in his mind.

Nothing showed on his face. He was basically a master of masking his emotions, "Nothing much. The dog was whimpering and limping. Did you see what happened? You didn't hurt the dog, now did you?" It seemed low of him to accuse her, but who else would have it have been.

He lowered the kunai and put it back into his pouch, "I'm fine with anything that had happened here unless you're a missing ninja. If so, then I'll have to take you down. If not, then I'm Zyxis. A relatively new Genin. Tell me your name if you're not a threat to me currently."

He felt as if he had handled that well. He had pulled out a kunai and had some flashbacks to when he and Ryūka had first met. He didn't actually threaten her with it, but it still had some sense of nostalgia for him.

He smiled, "It's nice to meet you."

The boy seemed mature for someone his age. Hato imagined that mysterious actions would lead to fear of the unknown. But not for this child. He approached it with the intent to find out what has happening behind the alley walls. Hato was impressed with the bravery. 

Zyxis would interrogate her next, reasonable enough. He asked what she saw what happened to the injured canine and if she was the one to hurt the innocent creature. Hato needed the mature boy to trust her, so her finally just tore off the multi colored bandanna so he could see her face completely, making it seem like she had nothing to hide. "Yeah, the poor girl was injured in the alley here, right behind the trash can," She then flashed the child her silver tinted kumo ninja band, the same one Zyxis wore, "I was on patrol, you see? Then I noticed her and was able to heal her as much as I could but as soon as I was able to get her to walk, she ran." She gave a friendly grin and lightly chuckled. "Sorry if I gave you a scare, she'll be alright now." 

The fellow genin explained that he was alright as long as she wasn't a rouge ninja. She couldn't help but innocently laugh, "Yeah, that's a reasonable reaction." Introductions were next, after he told the blonde his name and rank within the village, it was her turn to introduce herself. "I'm Hato Sano, also a genin," she added as he told her his rank, "I'm one of the medical ninjas of the village." She didn't want to come off as a threat, she needed the conversation going. "What are you doing up so late?" It wasn't normal of kids to be out this late unless they were causing trouble or even hardcore training.

Zyxis watched her calmly as she tore off the bandana and explained herself. He could see that explanation being accurate, and he had no real reason to except her of any wrong-doings. The thing he probably detected was her moving to help the puppy. She showed him her headband, signifying that she was a Kumogakure ninja. He squinted and activated the Sharingan in one eye to make sure there was no Genjutsu. She wouldn't be able to see the Sharingan since his eyes were almost closed. He deactivated it and re-opened his eye as if nothing really happened.

"No worry, I was just making sure everything was okay in Kumogakure. Good thing that you aren't a rogue ninja... Hato Sano." What a nice name, "I think it's interesting that you're a medical ninja. You're the first one I've met."

Zyxis raised an eyebrow innocently, "Why am I up so late? I'm not sure. I had just finished training, but I'm not really tired. Wanna take a quick walk with me?"

If she agreed he would signal her to follow him. He pulled out a kunai and drew a small line on his palm. Blood flowed freely from it but in small amounts. Putting the kunai away, he looked towards her and held out his palm, "Could I see your Medical Ninjutsu, please?"

This was sort of a way to test her. Make sure that she wasn't lying about trying to heal that dog. But at the same time, he was actually really interested in the unknown. He couldn't wait to see and feel a new sort of jutsu and chakra.

The boy still cautious of the woman, even after showing her band entitling her to the village Hato occupied. The woman didn't realized but she was being checked for any genjutsu tricks, which there were none. However, she did notice that he had to squint to see something not that far away. She thought the kid must have bad eyesight, when that was clearly not the case. Almost the exact opposite. 

Zyxis expressed his interest that Hato was a medical ninja, saying that he had never met one. "Never? That's odd." She responded. Most shinobi have experience with a medical ninja, whether it being a from personal experience or a mission they went on. Her first mission ever was one with a bunch of medical ninjas. 

The genin explained his reason for being out so late was training, adding that he was super tired and asked if she'd walk him home. That made her prediction right about him training to exhaustion. She nodded, letting the boy lead her because she had only just met the boy and had no idea where is residence were. She didn't straggle too far behind, she was basically right beside him. 

It was calmer night now that it seemed he trusted her enough to walk him home. That was until the lunatic cut his palm and with the kunai he held. "What the-?!" He asked to see her medical ninjutsu. It was a scheme to see if her alibi was trust worthy. "Damn it kid, you shouldn't be doing that even if a medical ninja was around." She scolded as she started weaving the hand signs to the C rank medical ninjutsu since it was only a small cut. Her hand glow with a gentle green color and she places it in his hands. As soon as it makes contact with the self afflicted cut, it starts to seal shut. Once the cut was taken care of, she retreated her hands and deactivated her medical ninjutsu. Hopefully after that, he'd trust her.

Zyxis looked at his hand as it stitched itself back together. That was very interesting. "Thank you," he said towards Hato before he continued walking as if nothing had just happened. It wasn't as if he didn't like her or didn't trust her, but he was more interested in what she could do. As they were walking, he began to speak again, "So, are you a really formidable shinobi?"

He scratched the back of his head, "I'm kind of new to this shinobi stuff, but I work super hard. Probably harder than I should. Maybe we can teach each other a few things if you're not busy?"

He hoped that she was more experienced than him. If so, then she could teach him a lot of stuff, and help him improve more. It was always nice to help out each other, cause as soon as an enemy came, the shinobi force of Kumogakure no Sato would be ready.

"I specialize in Ninjutsu. I don't know many since I used to specialize in Taijutsu. So I can teach you some of that if you want. My element," he snapped and lightning arced out from between his figures, "is Lightning. I know an E-Rank Ninjutsu and a C-Rank Ninjutsu. So I'm kind of lacking with that."

He continued to think out loud, "I know this jutsu called Soul Expulsion. It increases your speed, the strength of your chakra, and the resistance to it as well. It makes it easier for me to fight against stronger opponents and hasn't failed me yet. I know some other D-Rank Taijutsu and space-time jutsu, and that's really all."

He grinned at her, "What about you?"
