Armed Thug mission [nk] (Ryuka,Natsume)

Mission:

Unlike usual Hoshi woke up outside on a tree branch near his shack. He's had a rough time of it after yesterday trying to quiet the voice which reappeared all of a sudden and yet he did send a letter to his friends to go on a mission and the voice has ,for once during that time, actually permanently gone so it could be a good time to kick back into drive with another mission and this time he should be able to control himself better and he shouldn't start trying to escape again... Hopefully.

With the letter sent the words were "Mission at the usual place." With them both getting abit more added to them. With Natsume receiving "Hope you come back again for a mission. Sorry if I scared you last mission or something. P.S. Usual place is the mission boards" And Ryuka's... "Sorry about that premature action against that innocent. I usually get wrong assumptions so help me work on it." With those sent Hoshi should be able to expect both of them arriving at the mission boards later today.

With a quick little jump off the branch Hoshi made his way into the village whilst also utilising his new technique just for practice the daytime tiger. Which proved pretty effective as a technique yet after all these powerful techniques he should probably calm down and start working more on increasing his library of moves to which he could use more of rather than these one hit wonders. Once the village was in sight it was a sunny day with many a person walking down the streets. Pretty nice and active. Good enough to run on the roofs to just stare at the busy life below as he rapidly reached the mission boards.

Mission at the usual place. The usual place? Was that the training grounds? That's the usual place. Not the usual mission place but the letter didn't say mission at the usual mission place. It said mission, at the usual place. And the usual place was the training grounds. Wasn't it? That's where they hanged around the most. What even was the usual mission place? Was it the gates? The forest? Maybe it was the mission boards. That wasn't the place for the mission, though. It never was. I was the usual meeting spot though. But then again, the letter didn't say Mission, meeting at the usual meeting place, or even Mission at the usual meeting place. Maybe Ryūka was overthinking this. He just headed to the mission boards. At worst, he would have to go to the next place that came to mind.

To his surprise, the two other Genin were already waiting for him. "Hey! Reporting in. So what are we doing today?".

Ah Natsume arrived pretty swiftly and early like a pretty damn good genin should really. "Don't you worry Natsume since not only will I be taking care of ya, But also Ryuka should too. Speak of the devil here he is now." As if on cue, Ryuka arrived swiftly at the mission boards without the expression Hoshi thought he would have on. The simple greeting simply seems as stock, as any second Ryuka will begin questioning him about the previous missions dreadful events. But even if he discussed them Hoshi wouldn't want to answer them out of the fear of re-triggering it.

Thankfully they both were asking about the current instead of the past. The mission at hand instead of the disaster of the last. "Ya guys follow me for a sec" Right, now that Hoshi's gone towards the last sighting he might as well tell the group what they have in store. "Now, Follow me on this. Their's a guy causing a ruckus with a knife around about a simple stall called 'spicy ice cream'... Yes it's a horrible store which should never exist." Since why would anyone ruin perfectly good spices with disgusting ice cream. "He hasn't actively used the weapon yet but ya never know. We need to capture him alive since he's also got abit of a thieving streak. You up for a guy like this Natsume?" The slight worry was based off the fact Hoshi thought she could get abit injured in a scuffle like this.

"Hey Ryuka? I think it should be time we talked about..." Before Hoshi could finish his statement the sound of a Scream could be heard towards where they were walking. With even the sound of something dropping to the floor in the distance. "This way!" With Hoshi sprinting towards the sound as fast as he could. Hopefully with Ryuka and Natsume.

Ryūka felt... Tired. It was dawning on him just now that he may have overworked himself lately. He was on at least 1 mission a day, and he hadn't taken a day off in a long time. He could feel it, both in his body and in his mind. It was going to be hard to focus, but he had to do his best. One of the slightest moment of hesitation or misjudgment could have had serious consequences when he was on a mission like this.

So. The question was; was Ryūka tried and/or dizzy; or was something not adding up here?

"about a simple stall called 'spicy ice cream'"

"He hasn't actively used the weapon yet"

"he's also got a bit of a thieving streak."

Broad daylight. Witnesses everywhere. No previous use of the weapon in question. Thief background. A scream on the streets close by. Suspiciously close, in fact, to the team. And just as suspiciously, only moments after the team met up. Something wasn't right here.

"Hoshi... You follow that road. I'm gonna stay here, just in case.". Right after Ryūka said that, the woman looked at Ryūka with a shocked expression. She was... Sweaty? Anxious? There was something weird going on here. Ryūka was on to it.

Hoshi rushed forwards to see the scene of the crime immediately first. Their was the sign of a women on the floor shaking in fear? With her scared Hoshi would definitely not be the right person to talk to her at the moment. Yet the fear in her eye's didn't look the same. The fear doesn't seem real, as Hoshi through... Experiences. Knows what people in true fear for their life really look like. This face didn't fit any of the people he's seen in the past. 

This mission was weird. The store has only existed for at most,from Hoshi's guess from his time in the village, 3 days and in all of the idea's they chose spicy ice cream? Why that in particular. With these thought's the lady pointed in a direction where the thief could've gone. But Hoshi knew it would be impossible for the thief to go that way, since if he did the thief wouldn't of been quick enough as even Ryuka would be too slow to run that fast in the time Hoshi arrived before she screamed *5 seconds* with the path stretching for a good 80 metre's. Yet even if that was possible the people are just looking at the person who yelled, Not where the potential attacker ran at all (according to the women anyway).

LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE WANTS TO LURE US INTO A TRAP The voice Hoshi hated to hear appeared as if on cue with the hidden in plain sight answer. As soon as the voice went off in Hoshi's head something in the distance was visible to Hoshi, Within a taller building 30 metre's away was a figure staring directly at them getting ready to... THROW A KUNAI?! In a flash the figure threw a kunai directly at Natsume's head. An action had to be taken soon LEAVE HER TO DIE AND REACH THE ASSAILANT IMMEDIATELY TO CRUSH HIS SKULL INTO THE GROUND he needed to save Natsume and so Hoshi dashed into the trajectory of the blazing speed kunai, The only thing Hoshi could do in time when he noticed the attacker was to cover Natsume,with no time to block he would receive the Kunai right into his shoulder

Unknowingly to Hoshi the lady who screamed changed her expression completely. As if a mask had been removed. Her actions yet to be seen by Hoshi as she began taking out a hidden yet powerful dagger with a unique symbol of a phoenix on it. As these events were about to occur panic was not in the streets yet. With even another foe in these midst. As if they would be the backup.

Something was off. Ryūka, unfortunately, didn't have a Spidey Sense like Hoshi. An alarm going off in his head when there was danger nearby. He didn't notice the kunai being thrown until it was headed in his general direction. Before he felt the need to do anything, he realized Hoshi moving in on it, and thought he'd let the less experienced of the two handle a kunai. It was simple. Hoshi had a buff body, he knew a Taijutsu move that helped him block. There was no way this kunai was being thrown with more power behind it than some of the attacks Hoshi had blocked before. He could handle this easily. Ryūka believed so. Then he watched the kid decide he was a shield instead of a fighter. Bad move. He jumped in front of the kunai. Maybe he was looking to come off heroic in front of Natsume or himself. Ryūka shook his head. No matter how easy this mission seemed, there was no reason to waste any more energy than you should have. And Hoshi just wasted a lot.

The woman Natsume and Ryūka were standing over however, had made a grave mistake, unlike Hoshi's slightly bad judgement and love of drama. Ryūka of course noticed the dagger she tried pulling out, he was watching him. He was of course going to notice. He stepped on the hand trying to hold the knife, and with the spasm that step caused, she let the dagger fall from her hand. Ryūka sighed, "Bad move.". With the woman pinned to the ground, there would be no attack for Natsume to dodge or block. From his teammate's facial expressions, and from the sound of approaching footsteps, Ryūka could gather what was going on behind his back. He pulled his katana with its sheath, so he didn't cause any serious harm to the man attacking him. He slashed against the man's chest with a swift turn. The man would scream in pain and fall to his knees. He still had energy in him to fight, that much was apparent. Ryūka grabbed the dagger he dropped, as well as the one the woman dropped. "Natsume. Hoshi. You can handle this. We'll meet here.". He dashed towards a house, running on its walls with Surface Walking Technique to reach its roof.

When he did, he started traveling through rooftops, scouting the village, tuning his hearing to 11. He knew from the start something didn't add up. Someone apparently making this big a fuss over a flavor of ice cream was already absurd enough. Then, there was the fact that in broad daylight, this person apparently attacked, in a suspiciously little time after the team had met to look after this guy. Third giveaway was obviously the woman herself. She was way too calm at first, and not calm enough once Ryūka decided to stay with her. Then, there was the trap obviously. But the trap couldn't have been the ultimate plan. No, it was far too amateurish when Ryūka considered the planning that must have gone into the rest of the plan. The timing, the location, the drawing out of ninjas. The 3 that attacked them couldn't have included the mastermind behind this. The attack itself was way too hesitant and amateurish.

This wasn't a trap. This was a distraction.

Because again, who would start a riot over an ice-cream flavour? No. This was a way to turn the Ninja attention elsewhere so the person actually behind this could get their job done without being in danger of nearby Ninjas. But what was the plan? What was the criminal going to do? Where was he going to make his attack? Ryūka's body started tingling. He jumped forward, his speed reaching almost twice of what it did before. Where could the criminal be? Where would be a good target to hit? Ryūka had no clue, did he? Well, maybe he had a small one. He took out the knives he took from the attackers. Ryūka was going to play to his advantages. Base his investigation on the knowledge he had access to, instead of investigating. He started examining the knives. Luckily, he was familiar with all the blacksmiths in the village. After checking the details of these knives for a few seconds, it was easy from him to tell which one they were crafted by. A man named Raiko, his place wasn't that far.

Ryūka dashed towards the nearby shop. A few seconds later, he landed in the middle of the street, in front of the shop. There was a line. Of course there was. But there was no time to waste. Ryūka walked past the line. "Sorry, important ninja business. I have to talk to Raiko right now.". Raiko looked at him with an alarmed face. "What happened? What's wrong?". Ryūka pulled the knives out. "You have ot tell me who bought these from you. Fast. And everything you know about them, everything you noticed.". Raiko looked at the knives for just a second, and then answered, "Oh these. Some man named Bukijin. He lived closeby. Said he was gonna use them for woodcarving, wanted me to craft weapons that would cut wood better, more than anything else.". Ryūka had puzzled look on his face. "Wood? Thank you, Raiko. I'll visit your shop again after 'I'm done with the mission. See you later.". He headed out, apologizing to everyone he cut off, as he once again jumped on a rooftop.

"Wood?" Ryūka thought, scouting the area from the rooftops, "Why would he need a knife specifically to cut wood? Probably wants to use it for vandalizing or... Oh no.". Ryūka changed his direction, and headed towards the Black Forest. And sure enough, there was a man at the entrance, wearing a... Black Kimono? Oh no. It couldn't be, could it? No, not the same guy from the previous mission, there was no way. Ryūka dashed towards him. He had a knife. Ryūka took a sigh of relief. He found the man before he was able to do any harm. With his superior speed, he needed only to use his still sheathed katana to strike the man's back to knock him out. He did. The man fell face down to the ground. Ryūka flipped him over. Sure enough. This was the man Hoshi had tackled for no reason the previous day. Ryūka sighed, grabbing the knife first, then carrying the man over his shoulders back to the place Hoshi and Natsume presumably were waiting for him.

As Hoshi put body in the way of the thrown kunai a DELICIOUS  pain ran through his right shoulder. He could've used a blocking technique or simply pushed Natsume out the way but WHERE'S THE FUN for some unknown reason he simply decided to jump into the attack. Luckily Ryuka was able to take out the women ,who nearly attacked Natsume, and simply told us to handle this? Sure they could do that. But in the meantime Hoshi let out a scream... No more like a moan "AHHHHHHH." his body against his will reacted to the pain in bliss rather than agony. This would be a better alternative to simply allow it to just get out of his system, without the need of causing pain to others. 

After the moan, Clarity returned to Hoshi and he could finally think straight again. With this in mind he swiftly hit the lady with a powerful left punch. Enough to knock her out but not cause lasting damage. The man on the other hand was pissed, Charging at Hoshi with a boar like attack. Hoshi had no care for that man and simply said after dodging the charge ,by going to the mans left, "Natsume. You can deal with this guy. I'll take a visit to where the kunai thrower was." With that statement made Hoshi he dashed towards the building he last saw him in. Using the wall climbing technique as he dashed up the wall with a barely functional right arm. Hoshi jumped from roof to roof to reach the sighted building, And yet when he arrived into the window their was no one in sight. 

As Hoshi was about to turn and leave he found a stone tablet on the ground? Though it was hard to even call this legible for reading as the sculpting was shoddy at best. "He--- The--. If all w--- wro-- You wo--- fin- this -------. If so. Have fun." On the back of the tablet on the floor was simply a mark. Different from what was on the dagger. It was a target board with a hole in the centre... This is never a good sign.

With no culprit of shoulder injuring found Hoshi simply returned to the crime scene. Hopefully to simply end this mission with an idea why this all happened.
