chunin mission Part 2 (Cole, Satoru, Xuba)

Xuba had seen plenty of things, however it was kind of amusing to him that cole tightend his muscles. It was good reflexs yet now he wanted to test these instant reactions. He could see the straining. As it was indeed a smart move.

Very good cole you improved now then time to get to work!


Yet he did forget about the wire too attatched which acted as an nice reminder that xuba was still a step ahead. As it would as fore mentioned wrap around the boy. Perhaps a solid distraction to him.  Speaking of which he did notice the boy satoru was going to make ammends for his jumping action. It was an admireable attempt. However his motions were too slow. For the hurtling shruiken comming towards him. It wouldve been good if he took a page from cole.

 but seeing as his two speedy shruikens  made the distance of 65 meters between himself and the nara, the clap and deep breath to provide vital oxygen to the boy was a good attempt to keep up. And if on the ground he wouldve had a better chance at actual evasive motions.  But alas it was not fated to be. The deep breath cost him dearly as he would have improved speed, but by this time the shruikens were within the 20 meter range. The three seals at 130 speed per inclined seal for the nara were good attempts, but the shruikens would've ripped through the boy in their respective aimed locations before he even made  an inkling of a thought to weave his second seal of 3 for the wind technique, but for the record. He did jump. Costing him valueble manuverbility.

Yet perhaps by fortune or luck he managed the third seal at an inkling of a split second as the shruikens reached the 9 meter mark. Thus by the time they were less then 2 feet from the boy his jutsu had formed. The clang of metal breaking as tge shards of the shruikens went in seperate directions. But the boy escaped a quick end by a hair. His luck was on a lifeline. But it meant nothing to xuba as he noted the slow moving cloud of dust. Besides he was well on his next move.


 without missing a beat he  instead of retreating as he planned he would now take advantage of cole as the kunai was defended suscessfully.  Yet his next action would occur before the  smoke bomb hit the ground.

Within a blink of an onlooker's eye xuba wouldve  been well into motion moving at full speed of 185 towards cole. And quickly in that matter closing as cole's summons  would appear.  As he would be at the 65 meter mark as they appeared. Moving above their reaction time. Seeing as cole was smart in the action.  But now xuba was going to keep up the offensive pressure. Thus Having noted that the kunai merely bounced off. For that was simply a test. Now he knew there was a defensive response, but were there any more? A question he would soon get an awnser to as he would continue on his assault.

Just like out there i must keep up the pressure. No stopping, no hesitation. No trapa, no oppertunity. One must always be ready and  strike. If you must survive do so at all costs. Its your real test boys!

Xuba knew it was now time to break it. Before the smoke bomb hit the ground. Xuba had already retreived the item for his choice  As he  had reached behind his back with his right guantlet covered hand, and with a more attuned sense of certaincy,  and a careful hand  he produced the fully open 1ft in diameter fuma shruiken as the click of metal would be its only indication. But by the time cole realized the sound.  As he was  now certain he was safe, but soldiers do not rest. He did not have time for small chatting with the summons.


It would've already have been thrown.  In which xuba would throw the fuma shruiken  at the speed of 185 by pivoting slightly to save him time in  fully moving his arm except for the throwing motion. Of course being careful, and not impaling himself with the blade. 

The thrown fuma shruiken  would curve towards cole's left slightly be 2 degrees. Flying at an shocking throwing speed of 232, and boasting a sharpness of 190. It was Aimed directly for cole's  left shoulder.  As if it would hit. It would as per his hope cause cole to cry out in pain  an horrible wound on his,shoulder, perhaps it would be an missing arm in that case. Unless he had some other  sudden way to avoid such an attack.

 However, Seeing as he was now knelt down this was the perfect position to strike the kaguya as he was neither at the full ready as in on two feet, and  by this nature looking at where xuba was since xuba was moving at his full speed. The throw would be like an nasty  curve ball  which would also take in account  of now aiming for cole's left shoulder and onward.  As he 

Do not ever assume your enemy has one assualt in store for you cole... one defense would not be enough to stop the opponent. I know to justvuse something stronger and keep up the pressure. Come now!


Xuba  thought now curious of cole's growth. Now the fuma shruiken thrown  By this time the steel wire that attatched with the paper bomb would  wrap around cole and the paper bomb exploded at coles feet.

With an profound sense of  purpose xuba would proceed to close the distance between the kaguya and himself as  the salamander was weaving it's seals... unless it would tend to the nara somehow ofc. He caught a glimmer of the scorpions and he had a full plan to formulate to send them back to whence they came.

You best be ready cole. Come show me you are worthy of giving me a good fight!

Although coles defense was mighty! (172 health for bones is pretty high ngl) the 230 speed, 190 sharpness of the fuma shruiken far outshone the kaguyas solid defense.  Especially since the fuma shruiken was aimed towards coles left soulder, a location in which there was a paticular socket joint which would be one of the "unprotected" parts of the jutsu. That and the bone armor formation of lets say 80ish formation speed would be well  below the speed of the thrown fuma shruiken.  It would Not even be close to fully  formed and "hardend" by the time  the fuma shruiken reached him. 

There is a simple fact that even the sturdiest of walls, and the most durible of men have their limits. And should cole have truely focused on endurance. He would've  surprised xuba. However, alas this was not so. A thrown knife is still quiet deadly. And while it would've cut deep with an health stat a bit closer to the initial damage.  The fact being by the numbers the sharpness was still a solid 18 points well projected above his health. 

The fuma shruiken would carve through his flesh like a hot knife  vs butter, the bone armor would've merely been like a thin sheet of glass to a bullet.  Since it was not fully formed and hardend. Hardly worthy of the defense, but still making the tiniest of  impacts on the initial path. The blade would carve down a bit more left from his shoulder, and carve through the full joint detaching the kauguas left arm from his body in a flash. 

The fuma shruiken would land  behind the kaguya by a foot. Blood seeping down the silvery edge, as the scorpions he summoned to his right would see the splatter of red amid the rising smike bomb. Then watch as coles left arm from the upper bicept and forward would fly behind him by a meter.  The now stump of his arm exposed as it would be revealing bone plating forming over the stump by the time he realized it conciously.  But more so there would be a steady bleeding from where his arm was. The shock alone perhaps would make an normal man faint, but more so the drop in weakness from the bloodloss would become rapid. But the facts were cold and hard.  Cole lost his left arm.

 (So everybody wave goodbye to cole's left arm. Note that to be immune to that level your health is going to have to be signifigantly higher then the sharpness of the  fuma shruiken cole my man. At like 190 health you woulde gotten a pretty deep gash, but once the sharpness starts going above your health dismemberment starts becomming even easier. As per simply at 20 above your health stat when it comes to damage. Thats commonly lethal grounds.  Also the bone armor's inital weakness is that joints are not protected...  so you can move!)


"I suggest you go fix that cole or call it a day.... this was not going to be easy."

Xuba said as he heard the thud of the arm hitting the ground and hence the sight of one scorpion comming out from the smoke was a fun sight. A large fellow but there were two puffs of smoke and thus 2 scorpions as well. Quiet the perdicument here. But the rumbles felt under xubas boots gave him a nice idea with a few subtle cracks in the dirt.  As the ground here was rather loose. The scorpion went underground.

Xuba thought as  he changed course  a bit and begean to head towards the charging scorpion's right side. Yet he had only crossed  the 50 meter mark between the original location of the trio.  The man with  flick of his wrist called upon an additional shruiken  from his left sleeve while the  right sleeve there came the third kunai.  As his next goal would be to regrab the bloody fuma shruiken. But now it was to get rid of the two summons. (Hidden arms technique)

The scorpion would see him hold the shruiken but it would only be a mere glint in the sunlight. Xuba scanned the  distance and began to do calculations as cole began his charge towards the rising wall of water with his now missing left arm leaving the trail of red behind him.  Unless he heeded the mans words of wisdom to cut loses and simply get fixed up.

Still i see his desire to fight on. Like that bird boy, but i had to put him in his place too. 


Xuba throught as he by this time crossed the 30 meter gap  between himself and the scorpion. Moving much to fast forvthe creature to see normally it's attach choice was smart as xuba would see its large pinchers and of course very large tail. Which xuba would take great interest in as a prop to take down both scorpions at once. But first was the  feint. 

By now cole would've  seemingly vanished from sight. But xuba still had the ability to track his exact movements. The sounds of his footsteps, and their imprints. Which at this rate would put him  directly behind him in a nice straight line even though cole was charging straight towardscthe wall of water.  


By this time the scorpion would do his sudden motion of  throwing its pretty quick hook which  for one would use its large size as a means to hit a large area. In this case it would be runnin claw on the ground in an glorious attempt to knock out the armored  man. 

Glorious, but it lacked both an follow up and xuba was indeed much faster then the creature.  Which he as the creature would predictably wind up to strike which was the poor thing's downfall.  Xuba would throw the  kunai aimed at aimed at an upward angle as he proceeded past the  scorpions  right side well past the raised arm. The shruiken traveling at a speed of  of 230, and a sharpness of  140, would stear through the joint of the scorpions claw and right into the big black scorpions eye.  so that it would slice through   that immediatly blindingvthe battle hardend scorpion. And perhaps causing terrible pain. Like a glass shard in its eyes.  And perhaps even desummoning the beast. 

This would interrupt  the taijutsu manuver at hand as xuba wpuld also be aware of the  still missing scorpion now rummaging below ground. Underground assaults were fun. As xuba by the time the creature shingure  recoiled would be 10 meters behind the charging creature. 

With  his lleft hand xuba would  throw the shruiken now curving up and over coles right shoulder. But still itll curve slighty down mid flight, andwould take advantage of the   as such it would  fly right through the opening cole's attack on the dome would make and  strike the nara in the lower body as he would take a wild guess to aim low.  It would most likely hit as  cole unless interrupted would make contact with the  water dome. Otherwise it would tear through the water walk since its power ( being xubas strength of 130 behind it as a physical attack.) would be above the power and health of the water dome
 Plus since the boy would most likely not move being under the presumption of safety behind a barrier. There truely was not very much safety for defenders.  All in all the shruiken would be Flying at a throwing speed of 230, and a sharpness of 120. So even if the salamander decided to act it would be all but for vain.

 In the mean time xuba would be proceeding at full speed.of 180 towards his fuma shruiken and with deft hands unless interrupted would reclaim it. As while throwing the shruiken he would be still keeping an careful eye out on the impeading  assault of the other scorpion. Aware of the mere motion of the injured  giant scorpion should it use its tail.

Satoru’s actions will be determined by one instance: whether or not Cole decides to continue his attack despite the loss of his arm. Should he be the absolute monster that Satoru finds him to be, then the following will happen.

Seeing Cole approach, Satoru’s judgement makes him keen to relying on his summon for fighting this taijutsu specialist. Close range is not a fun time for the Nara, so he and Hisato quickly take multiple steps backward. In the same motion, Satoru takes a position hiding behind his salamander summon. The two are six meters away from the wall ahead of them when they stop.

“He’s running quite fast. The ‘ambush’ may not be enough to stop him in his tracks…” Satoru thinks as he opens his right hand and form the spiraling ring technique. “This should at least slow him down if he keeps his momentum. Then Hisato and I can get out of the way of that bone drill.”

Cole would not see any of this due to the mirror-quality of the water wall. Before his clematis flower drill impacts the wall and breaks through it, the pattern on Hisato’s skin starts to move in a hypnotic fashion. When Cole is able to see past the barrier which he is breaking, the only figure meeting him will be that of Hisato’s genjutsu.

Thus begins a new flow of events for Cole. The effects of Hisato’s genjutsu include the target seeing an illusion of multiple clones of Hisato jumping around them and brushing by to damage the target’s body. Destroying one or multiple results in a shadow clone effect which has them disappear in a puff of smoke. However, the number of salamanders seems relentless. Through all of this illusion, Cole is kept within the circle of emerging Hisato clones.

In order to reduce Cole’s momentum as much as possible, Satoru throws the spiraling ring such that it reaches the wall at nearly the same time that Cole does. It then detonates slightly before the water wall is broken so as to impart a real backward force to the Kaguya’s forward momentum. All of this is in an attempt to reduce Cole’s speed enough to allow Hisato and Satoru a safe amount of time to evade. The blast with a radius of five meters also happens to destroy the shuriken flying over Cole’s right shoulder as they, at some point in their travel, are caught in the shredding explosion of pressurized wind.

As for the damage dealt to Cole by the spiraling ring’s detonation, the blades of wind are numerous. One or two find their way to impact Cole’s joints and cut into them. No limbs are dismembered this way but movement would become very painful. The attack, should it be powerful enough, may even immobilize the Kaguya.

These are the things that happen if Cole continues to attack with his clematis flower. Should this not occur and he decides to take any other course of action for which the above does not apply, then the below will occur rather than the above.

Satoru and Hisato watch on as it appears as though Cole’s arm has been severed from his body. The truth sinks in for the Nara that the unknown opponent is highly dangerous at long ranges, with the ability to throw projectile weapons at high speed and lethality. Seeing the damage done by just one throw, Satoru decides to move to a new location within the confines of the water wall. From a bird’s eye view with Satoru faces what we will call north, he and Hisato move to a position in the upper left quadrant of the circle. They are near the middle of this quadrant. The purpose of this movement is so that the one throwing weapons might not simply pick a random spot through the dust cloud and find success through but a guess. Satoru plans to periodically move positions for as long as the water dome jutsu and dust cloud are active; whichever deactivates last.

The flash of red and the summoner fell with the realization before him. He had lost his arm. Many wouldve done the same, but on that note. It was fair. Xxubas eyes fell on the nara as the scorpions were no longer a problem to him. As by their contract they wouldve tried to protect the kaguya as best as they could till the medical shinobi arrived.

At this note he would'nt have to throw a kunai towards the charging scorpion and instead outsped the scorpion by simply heading 25 meters away from  the  water dome placing him 95 meters from the water dome edge. 
 stopping as he decided to  now study the opponents defenses. Waiting for the summons to  dissapear so he could grab his fuma shruiken. He would observe the water dome quietly  for the meantime waiting and was willing to play a few more feints with the nara before he had to get serious. The midday sun  as much a factor to xuba as it was to the nara. He needed to take it slower. 

 At the moment he felt the effects of using the enhancer  for his muscles were pretty sore. Instead he simply took a deep breath as the shruiken and kunai went into his hands and he was curious. With that water dome up he was certain the boy  would simply wait for an means of an opening. The best part about this was xuba had both the space and time to act accordingly. Since  he merely needed to keep the distance now and simply wait for the salamander and boy to emerge. Or get a feel to their strategy. For it was clear the nara  wanted to only stay at a distance. Jutsu were however liniar. And predictable. Now was the timce to take it easy. Relax.

Thus he deactivated the seven heavens breathing method. For he did not need it at the moment after all the expectation was the bow would try to do a few things. Which would be try to use a speed advantage of somekind and close the distance or still use long range wind jutsu. But judging by the dome. Xuba was confident either way the boy lacked the close ranged  skill to kerp up.

It would only play to his advantage if they emerged to bait the boy into close quarters. Because all he has done so far was simply throw a few weapons.  For he did not even begin to use his close quarters skills yet. It was amusing. To bait the boy out and his pet.

The Jounin would continue watching the high speed high stakes action, Even with her golden eyes, she had issues keeping up with some of the increadable action. Cole would take a hit and Hikari would start to move to get him, but stopped seeing medical staff was already on their way.

As she continued to watch, the girl would sense a familiar chakra signature approaching. Turning to face it, the girl would recognize the heels of Shina as as she approached.

"Hikari." The former girlfriend of the first Hogokage would nod at her "The royal family wanted an update on the village, and for some reason I am not good enough for them. They said they wanted either you or the hogokage."

The Jounin didn't want to go, but Hikari knew that you shouldn't keep royalty waiting. "I presume I don't have an option then? In which case, if you could take over with the exams."

Shina would nod and Hikari would telleport to the office in order to prepare for her meeting.
