To find a stream

[in between chuunin exam round 1 and two]

It was early morning in the village hidden in the leaves, with only those poor souls whose professions forced them awake at this hour already up and about.  The sun had barely risen, but so too had a teenager of this mist.  He had carefully donned his armor and ninja tools, in his almost ritualistic manner, each thing perfectly in place.   The final touch, after checking his sword's mounting, was sliding the blue headband up his forehead, sweeping the shaggy blonde hair up and away, before swiftly tying it behind his head.  A quick look in the mirror to center it, and he headed out, opening and closing the door slowly and quietly.

The Mist ninja was headed to the gate.  The early morning insects chittered away, but the sound of the town was already starting to drown them out.  He was tired of the prying eyes, the dirty looks, and the crowded streets.  He needed a little space to train in peace if he was to win his next round.

He approached the gates without hesitation, the burning off of the night's dew by the rising sun reminding him slightly of the mist of home.  If not stopped, or waved along, he would proceed outside, to a small stream he had seen on their approach from the ship  on their way here.


(Note, NOT claiming village exit, since i dont need to exit if i stay in the country/village borders)
